A/N- Ciao, come stai? Anyways, back here with another chapter. I hope you guys like it.
And as always, do review and give your opinion on the story.
The rest of the morning, Izuku spent getting some much-needed control over summoning his flames. At his current level, he can just summon a tall, violent pillar of black flames that he has limited control over. With the help of Dabi, he was able to get minimal control over his flames' temperature and size.
Since IUku was suspended from school, he was able to devote the majority of the day to control, which proved to be a bad idea. Many times throughout the day, Izuku burned through his body's entire oxygen supply. He nearly passed out several times because of that, but fortunately he was able to get back to training after an hour of rest. Of course, Dabi proved to be a frustrating teacher since he never taught anyone anything and just let Izuku continuously burn through his oxygen supply over and over again.
Dabi's best advice was just to focus on the flames, regulate the temperature, and be mindful of the blaze's size. But since Izuku didn't know how to do most of that, he was left to do it by himself. Although he began to get the hang of it by the time the sun was beginning to set.
He was catching his breath trying to get more oxygen into his body while Dabi just sat on a mountain of trash looking at the ocean. Eventually, Izuku caught his breath, and he just had to ask Dabi where he was going with this training.
"OI Dabi! What's the plan with my training?! All I've learned to do is to control my flames, so what next?!" Izuku shouted to get Dabi's attention. Dabi noticed and began descending the mountain of trash because he didn't feel like shouting at the delinquent.
"You need to learn control so you can avoid intentionally hurting people. Your flames are unique when compared to regular flames, so you need to get pretty good control over them before we can even think about progressing your training. Sure, you're a fast learner, but you still need the experience." Izuku looked at Dabi like he was crazy. Izuku was expecting an insult, but instead he got a truthful analysis, but something did catch his attention.
"What do you mean by my flames being unique? Like, in what way are they different? I get that they're very hot and directly controlled by my emotions, but how else are they different?" Izuku tilted his head at Dabi while Dabi lit up a cigarette, put it in his mouth, and took a long draw of breath from it.
"Well, for starters, your flames are heavily dependent on emotions. That showed when you needed to get your emotions in check today before we could begin. I'm not sure what has changed in you, and I don't care. All that matters is that you're somewhat comfortable with summoning your flames now. But emotions are just one thing on the checklist. I've noticed that your flames aren't dependent on brute force like most other fire users. Instead, your flames rely on technique and skill. Think of it like this: a pro-hero who has a fire quirk will use overwhelming force to win. But you'd use skill and technique to close the gap and secure your victory."
Izuku looked at Dabi, then at his hands. 'Is Dabi sure about that? I guess I see where he gets that idea. But I feel like I have the potential to brute force my way through a fight.' Izuku looked at Dabi once more, and had a quizzical look on. Dabi noticed and tried his best to answer a question that wasn't asked.
"I know you're probably wondering why I say you rely on skill and not brute force, especially since we've both seen the massive pillars you can make. I'm not saying you can't use overwhelming force, but from what I've noticed, you'll have a better chance at victory if you use technique." Izuku once again looked at Dabi, and Dabi just sighed.
"You have more aptitude for control, technique, and skill. Using my observation skills, I think I know what you're capable of. You have a huge range for temperature control. Hell, you could even make room temperature flames or flames so hot they melt steel when you get close. But more training is needed to do that if you're going to go that far. There's also the size of the flames you can output. Typically, regular flames grow about as big as their fuel source, but you can juice up our flames to make a huge ass pillar of fire with them. You might even be able to send out a huge ass wave of flames in all directions if you felt like it. But skill and technique are going to be your main weapons."
Izuku just looked at Dabi, stunned. 'He got all that just from watching me today?! Where the hell was this at the beginning of the day!?' Izuku just sighed because he knew he wasn't going to get the answer right now. "Okay, so is there anything else that makes my flames different or is that it?"
"There's plenty more, though these are theories I came up with while watching you. I believe you can conjure things with your flames if you focus hard enough. Like make a giant fire hand or focus your flames into a flame tentacle or flame whip or stuff like that." Izuku just tilted his head in confusion at Dabi, who sighed and took a long drag from his cigarette before continuing. "Look, what I'm trying to say is that the versatility of your flames is high as fuck. Not only do you have the capacity to shoot out flame streams from your body like I do, but your flames can manifest in different ways, like if you concentrate hard enough, you could maybe make a giant flame hand at room temperature flames to grab something. And even then, you can pump up the heat to make your flame conjurations and flame streams melt potentially anything they touch. You've got some real power, and I have no idea where your potential ends."
"What makes you think I can do that? I don't even know if I can do that? So, what gave you the idea that I could do that?" Izuku asked in pure confusion. He had no idea how Dabi got these theories because they sound outlandish. Izuku hadn't made a flame creation yet, and he sure as hell hadn't shot flames out of his hands or feet in a concentrated stream before. Dabi sighed and finished his cigarette, incinerating the butt of it before looking frustrated at Izuku.
"Oh my god! Do you ever observe your surroundings, Dipshit? When you practiced control, I could see you were trying to focus the power on your hands, and it looked like you were about to make flame hands, which means you may have the potential to shoot fire and probably create flame creations. As for how far those aspects of your quirk can go, I have no idea." Izuku looked at the sand under him and there was an audible "Oh" that came from him.
"So how do I go about making those things happen? And I still don't know if I can do those kinds of things." Dabi just looked at Izuku like he was stupid.
"You won't know if you can do those things until you try, dumbass. However, you need to work on your control so you can get to that point. But for now, I guess a goal to work towards would help you get your flames under control. For now, work on getting to this basic level of control."
Dabi walked over to one of the big mountains of trash on the beach and looked up at it. Izuku just watched as Dabi stared at the mountain of trash, wondering what he was going to do. But then Dabi held his hand up, and a wave of powerful blue flame erupted from his hand. The flames had so much force and heat that Dabi pulled his hand back just as fast as the flame erupted from his hand. In an instant, the mountain of trash was engulfed in the blue flames as it began to burn in the evening sun with a cool blue light.
"You have to work up to the point where you can do that just like me because that is a relatively simple move." Dabi looked back with tired eyes and a small grin as he looked at the surprised face of Izuku. Izuku looked on in anticipation. He wanted to get stronger to protect people, but he was unsure of how to do it in a way that didn't hurt others. It looked like actively using his flames was the only way to get stronger.
Izuku looked down at his hand and clenched it as he took a deep breath to calm himself in anticipation. Soon, though, Dabi told him to fuck off and go home, so Izuku cleaned himself up and got all his stuff.
It was the evening, and the sun was setting. Izuku was walking down the street, yawning at how tired he felt.
Izuku was also reflecting on what Dabi said to him at the end of their training and what Toshinori said in the morning. What Dabi said was probably true; he had tons of potential, but he had no idea how far he could go since he hadn't used his quirk in ten years, so it should be interesting. But Toshinori helped Izuku accept his past and the feelings that came with it. Izuku couldn't thank the man enough, because for the first time in his life, Izuku felt calm and didn't feel the need to hide away his emotions, even if habits tried to make him hide his emotions. Izuku swore it felt like Inko was looking down at him with a smile, which made him smile and look up into the orange evening sky.
"I'll try and be a hero for you, mom. I know you want me to try and be one, so I'll give it my best shot."
But Izuku's moment of reflection would be cut short when he heard a group of boys approaching him. Looking forward, Izuku could see it was a gang of five high school boys. All of the boys were wearing nasty looks as they stared at him, but looking behind them, Izuku could see the classmate he had knocked out yesterday. The only difference with him is that he looked more beat up than before. Izuku knew he didn't beat him that hard. All Izuku did was knock him out by hitting his head. 'So why does he have all those bandages on?'
Izuku suspected that the gang wanted something, but he had no idea what they wanted unless his classmate had a hand in this. Izuku hadn't done anything to piss off a few high schoolers, so it only made sense that his classmate had done this as some form of petty revenge. Then the boys stopped in front of Izuku, confirming his suspicions of them, and the leader with blonde dyed hair walked out a bit.
"So, you're the guy who sent my little bro into the nurse's office yesterday. Why'd you go and beat him up so hard like that?" The punk said, with a voice that he obviously was forcing deep. Izuku just rolled his eyes at the group.
"Me? I didn't beat him up to the point where he needed those bandages. All I did was knock him out by hitting his head on his desk. You've got the wrong guy."
"Are you denying what happened? I saw him come home with those bandages and injuries to boot, and he told me it was you who sent him to the nurse's office! So quit playing stupid and accept the ass beating you're about to receive!" The guy got closer to Izuku and pushed him, making Izuku take a step back. Izuku was getting angry at these guys now. Then he saw the shit-eating smirk on his classmate's face and it pissed him off even more.
'That fucking bastard tricked them! He probably hurt himself so he could get his dumbass brother to come after me because he knew he couldn't do it himself. The fucking prick!'
"Listen asshole I didn't beat the shit out of your brother! He's lying to you!" The leader looked back to see his brother put on an act, looking hurt and scared, then turned back to Izuku with anger in his eyes.
"You calling my brother a liar?!"
"I ain't calling him a truther!" Izuku pushed the blonde douche back and had anger in his eyes. He was not in the mood to fight these assholes right now. Today, Izuku had made progress on his emotional state, and he didn't want to lose it. Izuku felt his body getting hot, but he quickly suppressed the heat. He wasn't ready to use his quirk yet.
"Nah, I think you're the liar. After all, you're the fucking villain here! My bro told me what you did, you damn villain!" That comment got a noticeable rise out of Izuku, but he quickly breathed deeply to not lash out at the guy, but the punk continued anyway. "Maybe if I beat the shit out of a good for nothing mommy killer like you, she would smile at me for avenging her life by beating up her villain son, and I could be a hero! What do you think, guys? Am I a hero for taking out this killer?" The goons just cheered him on as he looked back to them for validation. They all missed Izuku's expression darkening into one of rage.
"Yeah, you are a hero, dude!"
"Let us take some of the credit as your sidekicks!"
The boys just laughed at Izuku's expense, but the leader turned back to Izuku just in time to see a kick coming straight for his head.
Izuku had thrown his backpack to the side and pulled his leg back, then sent out a fast and powerful high kick to the leader's head. Izuku kicked with such ferocity, power, and speed that he had taken the leader to the floor with his leg. A loud thud and a small crunch could be heard as the goons looked at their leader on the floor, knocked out after one kick.
Looking up, they saw Izuku standing there on one leg, casually as if nothing had happened, but his expression portrayed a different reality. Izuku looked pissed and ready to fuck them up, and it made the goons nervous, but one unlucky soul had guts, and he rushed in to punch Izuku.
Izuku quickly shifted his weight and leaned to the side, avoiding the punch thrown by the lacky. Moving fast, Izuku then kicked the legs out from under the lackey and he fell. Izuku decided to finish the job by bringing his leg up for an ax kick. Izuku's expression remained angry, but it softened a bit as he brought his leg down on the goon's head, knocking him out.
The goons didn't move, but then one got his senses back and gained a look of realization, and he looked at Izuku's shocked classmate. "Dude, you said his name was Izuku, right! What's his last name!?" The classmate broke his shock and answered.
"He's Izuku... Izuku Midoriya." The punk group had lost their color. They heard of Izuku. Yeah, he was treated as a villain, but he was notorious for beating up anyone who messed with him or pushed his buttons the wrong way. Izuku's notoriety was the reason he ran out of bullies to fight, since they all knew not to fuck with Izuku Midoriya.
Suddenly, one goon who realized who Izuku was just bowed and apologized. "I'm so sorry! I didn't realize it was you, Sir Midoriya! We were unfamiliar with middle school fighters since we are in high school! I hope you can forgive us for our stupidity!"
The rest of the goons followed suit, and the classmate looked on in shock, and then one of the goons grabbed him and forced him to bow as well. Izuku just scoffed and grabbed his stuff, then pushed past all of them to continue walking home. After he left, his classmate turned to the goons with questioning eyes.
"Guys, what was that about? What the hell!" They all looked at the kid like he was an idiot, which he kind of was.
"Do you not know who he is!?"
"Obviously, dude, I just moved here to live with my brother like a week ago. Is he some sort of legend? All I know is what people told me."
"Well, Izuku Midoriya is one of the toughest guys around. He used to get bullied a lot and get his ass kicked. But then it was the bullies getting their asses kicked by him and his brother. There's not a delinquent in the area who doesn't know who Izuku is. Granted, we never picked on him, so we never met him, but still, the dude is notorious for being strong. From what I heard, once he and his brother ran out of guys to fight, they started fighting each other for fun. But he only fights people when they insult sensitive subjects, so we must have really pissed him off to get him this angry at us."
The classmate gulped as he realized he had insulted the area's most notorious delinquent. And he tried to get revenge on him by ganging up on him with his brother. The student just hoped Izuku wouldn't take his wrath out on him in school.
As the boys all wondered if Izuku would come after them, they didn't notice the messy blonde buns behind a wall. A girl heard the commotion and came over because she wanted to watch the blood spill out onto the floor, but she was denied that by a guy with black and green hair with overwhelming strength. But she had a thought that maybe he could spill more blood if she just followed him around. The idea made her blush.
Izuku walked down the street, wondering why he lashed out like that at the gang of punks. It wasn't like Izuku to just get angry at people so fast. Sure, they did call him a killer since they brought up the incident, and they deserved to get beaten over it, but Izuku wondered if it was worth it.
Izuku can take the verbal abuse, but he will not allow anyone to disrespect her. Inko was a good mom, and he will not have anyone talk bad about her for raising a 'villain'. But it still didn't make much sense as to why Izuku went that far. Normally he'd toy with them, but this time he went straight for the victory.
But then Izuku remembered that his emotions were less restrained than they used to be since he'd become more in tune with them. Izuku had finally started accepting his emotions, so they were all over the place, waiting to be dealt with. And because his emotional state was in complete chaos, it made sense that Izuku wasn't going to think straight.
"Now that my emotions are becoming less retrained for me to reflect on, I guess they spurred me on. I'll need good control over them if I'm to use my quirk. I can't get angry like that when I use my quirk, although I may need to so I can use my flames. I'll have to practice more with Dabi tomorrow since I'm still suspended from school."
While Izuku wondered what he should do about the situation, he didn't notice the blonde girl who was tailing him. She saw how strong Izuku was and was curious about him, plus there was the chance she would see him make others bleed, and the thought made her excited. She tailed Izuku till he got home. Once Izuku walked in, she would leave, but she made sure to remember where he lived for later use.
Izuku walked into his house and he was met with Mitsuki making dinner for all of them. Masaru was sitting at the table doing some work, and Bakugo was watching the news while doing homework. Izuku walked over to the kitchen to assist Mitsuki since he had nothing else to do.
He took one step into the kitchen when Mitsuki looked over to him and hit him with a spatula. Izuku looked up at her, asking for an answer, to which she gave him one. "I could smell you from a mile away! Go take a shower, then help with dinner."
Izuku just grunted and took off in the other direction to go and take a shower upstairs. He removed his clothes and got ready to shower, but before he got in the shower, Izuku looked at himself in the mirror. For some reason, it felt... strange to see himself.
Izuku didn't know why, but he just thought it was because he had gone through some serious development in only a few days. Then his eyes landed on the chain around his neck and a wave of emotions hit him like a speeding truck.
Sadness, grief, pain, depression, hopelessness, anger, wrath, fury, and many more emotions boiled up from inside of him. Izuku felt himself getting hot, but he just let the emotions run their course as he heated up.
Izuku knew he couldn't hold onto these emotions forever and eventually he'd have to forgive himself for what he did, but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't. Izuku still remembered very vividly seeing Inko die. Izuku wanted nothing more than to prevent another accident like that from happening. Which is what led to his quirk abstinence for ten years, and now his worldview was shifting in another direction that may or may not prove to be beneficial.
Clutching Inko's ring in his hand, Izuku held it tight and breathed deeply to try and get rid of the emotions or to numb the pain. Closing his eyes, Izuku searched for the most painful memories of his past and just let them play in his head to let the emotions out.
"I can't run away anymore; mom wouldn't like my memories of her to bring me pain." Izuku continued to let the pain flow from the memories. It hurt. There was so much weight on his heart that he choked up and wanted to cry. Izuku tried to numb the sensations by experiencing them, but it was just too much, at least for right now.
Izuku opened his eyes and saw a tear fall from one eye and land in the sink. He looked down at his sad face in the mirror reflection and let go of the ring, but he breathed deeply again and turned that sadness into determination, or at least tried to.
"I will not let my emotions get the better of me. I will try to become a hero to prevent another accident like that from happening again."
Looking up, Izuku made eye contact with himself in the mirror, and he saw the weak determination in his eyes, but he was glad. Izuku was pleased that he had found a small amount of his forgotten resolve to help him on this tough emotional journey. It still hurt and burned to have to experience these emotions, but Izuku felt like someone somewhere was smiling at his progress, and that made him grin a tiny bit.
Finished with his emotional moment, Izuku got in the shower and cleaned off all the sweat and sand he had on his body. Mitsuki wasn't kidding; he stunk like a dump. Then again, Izuku was in one all day.
Getting out and drying off his black and green hair, Izuku looked in the mirror again, but this time there was no sadness. Instead, he looked at his naked body and saw the muscle definition. Izuku had a four-pack of abs, and he knew he was close to getting a six-pack based on how hard Bakugo wanted to train him. All his other muscles popped as well, since he was very well built for his age.
While admiring himself, Izuku couldn't prevent his teenage brain from spitting out a few words: "Damn I look good." Then Izuku wondered where that came from, because that wasn't like him at all. Izuku knew he was attractive and fit, but he had never said that about himself before. Izuku just shrugged it off and went about his evening as normal. He helped Mitsuki with dinner and Bakugo with his homework, then went to bed.
That night, though, Izuku would have a dream about Inko, and one that didn't involve fire. Instead, they were surrounded by the warmth of the sun on a grassy hill overlooking the neighborhood, eating lunch. Izuku smiled like a goober while sleeping, and his smile was so contagious that even Bakugo grinned when he checked on his sleeping brother before going to sleep himself.
Dagobah Beach (Early Morning)
It was the next day, and the last day of Izuku's suspension. He was working out in the morning at the dump with Bakugo, trying to increase his strength and stamina. Bakugo had decided that every morning they would run down to the dump and train their bodies and quirks. Then after that, they would go home, get cleaned up, and go to school. After school, Izuku would spend time at the beach with Dabi, practicing his quirk.
Of course, this plan was officially going to start tomorrow when Izuku was allowed back at school. And Izuku still needed to get in contact with Toshinori to talk about how to train him since he had promised to train Izuku.
Speaking of Toshinori, he was currently watching Bakugo and Izuku from the sidewalk above the beach. Toshinori was trying to think of a way to train Izuku. Izuku was already pretty well built, so he could probably take One for All if he wanted it. Bakugo kept working out with Izuku, so Toshinori didn't have an opportunity to help train Izuku's body. And he couldn't help with Izuku's quirk because he didn't know what to help with and he already had someone to help him with that. Toshinori was at a loss for words, and he felt defeated.
But suddenly, Toshinori had a thought, "I could maybe give him some actual combat experience. That's something he'll need to get. Maybe I can have him and Bakugo fight so they can get used to fighting." Toshinori grinned because now he had a thought in his head of how to help Izuku. But when he looked down at the beach, he saw Bakugo and Izuku going blow for blow in the sand. And their forms and instincts weren't half bad, which meant they were used to fighting.
Toshinori sighed and deflated, "Well, back to the drawing board." Toshinori just stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked away, trying to think of a way to train Izuku. Looking back one more time, he saw Bakugo throw Izuku into a pile of trash, and Izuku cut his arm open on a piece of metal. But that didn't stop Izuku as he rushed back in with an angry face to deliver a powerful kick to Bakugo's face. Toshinori smiled and shook his head as he walked away, "The joys of youth."
Once Bakugo left to go to school, Dabi came out of his garbage home and sat down to watch Izuku practice his flame control. Dabi noticed the many faces of concentration and emotion Izuku made while his flames were active. Dabi recognized pain and anger, but the other faces he couldn't pinpoint. But Dabi saw that Izuku was still uncomfortable with his emotions, and it showed in how his flames reacted; one moment they flared up, and the next moment they calmed down to a smaller size, and then they'd flare up again.
That's when Dabi noticed something. He saw that Izuku was covered head to toe in black flames that were so hot that he could feel the heat and see the sand burn under him. But the clothes Izuku had on and the chain around his neck weren't melting or burning. It made Dabi curious about something, "Oi punk, stop for a second, I want to try something."
Izuku stopped and looked over to Dabi, who got up and walked over to him. Dabi got right next to Izuku and put his hand on his shoulder and then got shoulder to shoulder with the boy. "Okay, activate your flames like normal." Izuku's eyes widened in worry.
"Are you sure about that? You'll get burned, dude!"
"I'm sure. I want to test something, and if needed, I'm sure you can turn your flames off and I can take a quick bath in the ocean." Izuku gulped but had faith that Dabi knew what he was doing. After all, the man knew more about fire quirks than anyone else Izuku had met. Izuku breathed deeply and summoned his flames, expecting to hear Dabi scream.
But to Izuku's amazement, when he turned to look at Dabi, he saw Dabi shrouded in the black flames. Izuku's shock made him lose focus, and the flames began to consume Dabi, who yelled at Izuku, "Dude, concentrate!" Izuku shook his head and pulled the flames away from Dabi, who had a beating heart and cold sweat falling from his cheek.
"Whew, I thought you were about to flambe me for a second. Looks like my theory was correct. You unconsciously set up a barrier to separate yourself from the hot flames." Izuku tilted his head in confusion, and Dabi just sighed again.
"You make the flames colder the closer they are to you, but the flames further away from you are hotter. It's like a reverse sun; the closer you get to the center, the cooler the flames are, so they don't burn you and anyone next to you when you flare up. In fact, it actually feels quite nice in the center of your blaze, nice and cool." The light bulb in Izuku's head turned on.
"Oh yeah, that makes sense, so I guess I can shroud myself and whoever is close to me in cooler flames, but the closer you get to the outer flames, the hotter it gets."
"That about sums it up, but it also makes me think that the hotter the flames get, the more you'll feel it, so that means you'll need to work on your temperature fluctuation some more. But that makes me curious about something else. Turn the flames off for a second."
Izuku did as asked, and Dabi walked over to a mountain of trash and signaled for Izuku to follow. Izuku did as he was told and walked over to the mountain where Dabi told him to put his hand on the mountain and activate his flames. Putting his hand on a trashed fridge, Izuku did that and saw that some of the garbage was set on fire, which made Dabi nod before telling him to turn it off, not after noticing Izuku push a small dent into the fridge. Making Dabi's brows arch in surprise as his mind began trying to figure out Izuku's power.
"Yep, just as I thought, there is a limit to how far you can expand the cool flames. It looks like you can expand the cool flame about half a meter before the heat rises dramatically to the point where things get set on fire. Good thing we know now, but there is also a revelation about your quirk." Izuku looked at Dabi with a confused expression again, and Dabi just rolled his eyes before pointing to where Izuku pressed his hand into the trash mountain. Izuku's eyes shot open when he saw a slight hand-shaped dent in the side of the fridge.
"It looks like your flames give you a small strength boost. It's probably related to my idea about flame creations. Think about it like this, if you have a giant hand, you probably increase the flames creating it, which makes it stronger, which reinforces the flame hand enough to where it is stronger than a normal hand, and your flames might give the hand enough weight to give it strength. If you apply that idea to your body, where you increase the flames on a certain body part, you can probably increase the strength of that part of your body. I've never seen anything like this, so this is uncharted territory for me, but I want to see your limit." Dabi finished, and Izuku just looked down at his hand in wonder.
"To test it, go punch a piece of trash without the flames and then try it with your flames activated." Izuku hesitantly nodded and went over to a piece of trash that was partially buried in the sand. Dabi just nodded at Izuku as he pulled his arm back to punch the trash. Izuku threw his hand out, "*wack*, FUCK!" And to no one's surprise, a loud bang was heard, and Izuku clutched his hand while cursing at the pain. Dabi just chuckled and tried to hide his smile at the sight of Izuku in pain.
"I didn't think you'd actually do it!" Dabi said with a smile, and Izuku just looked at Dabi with anger on his face, but Dabi just put his hands up and continued. "Okay now, this is a good time to try summoning your flames on a single part of your body. Try just summoning your flames on your arm. Feel the power want to leave through one body part and go from there."
Izuku continued to glare at Dabi with anger but relented and stood up, taking a deep breath. Izuku closed his eyes and the emotions came forth, and he felt his body heat up, but then Izuku tried to focus the heat into his right arm. Soon, Izuku felt the relief that came from letting his flames out in his right arm, but there was also an overwhelming amount of power in his limb. Opening his eyes, Izuku struggled to keep the concentration needed to keep the flames from spreading to his entire body. Izuku's right arm was covered in big black flames that were moving violently and were threatening to get bigger. Izuku struggled to keep the flames under control since they were already starting to grow bigger and burn through his body's oxygen supply.
"Does it feel like all the power is rushing into your arm and trying to escape?" Izuku nodded, still struggling to keep the flames in check to prevent them from getting any bigger. "Okay, try punching the trash now."
Izuku moved over to the trash, still struggling to keep the flames down, and then he pulled his arm back. Izuku felt the power go into his arm and it felt so hot to him, almost like his skin was going to start melting off his arm. Then Izuku started to breathe heavily and pant because the violent flames were using a lot of his body's oxygen. He decided to just get rid of the flames, so he threw his arm forward.
A huge metal bang was heard as Izuku punched the metal trash, and it dislodged itself from the sand and flew back a few feet before stopping with a burning fist indentation in its side.
Izuku dropped to his knees and started to breathe deeply as Dabi just starred at the trash he punched. The black fire dwindled out because it wasn't hot enough to burn the metal for fuel. Then Dabi looked over to see Izuku catching his breath. 'Holy shit, this kid has power. That strength isn't anything special. There are tons of others who are much stronger than him, but damn that was impressive for a full power flame punch.'
"Well fuck kid, that's some extremely advanced pyromancy you got there. You can cover yourself in flames, regulate the temperature to make it cool or hot as hell, control the size of your flames, increase your strength with them, and the theories I have are probably true too. You might actually be able to shoot fire and create flame creations. Of course, if you use the strength aspect, make sure you make the flame shroud around your arm as small as it can get to conserve oxygen. You don't need seven feet of super-hot flames coming off your arm when you're trying to move some heavy shit then passing out due to oxygen loss."
Izuku just gave Dabi a thumbs up and breathed deeply. He was happy because he had found a new aspect of his quirk that made it practical. And the possibility that he could make things with his flames and shoot streams of fire seemed to get more and more likely. But Izuku's biggest issue that needed addressing was controlling the flames. As it stands, Izuku burns through his oxygen way too fast for small status buffs and simple moves.
The cause of his oxygen burning away too fast was probably how big he was making his flames. When Izuku doesn't concentrate, he makes a massive pillar of black flames that consumes his oxygen at an incredible pace. When Izuku concentrates, he is shrouded in black flames. He can get it as small as two feet high when coming off his body, which still isn't ideal. And the flames were usually violently burning away, chewing through the oxygen supply in his body. And just now, when Izuku shoved all his power into his right arm, the flames were massive and incredibly violent as they burned through his oxygen like crazy.
"Honestly, kid, you have the potential to become the strongest motherfucker around if you can get good control over your flames to not eat through your body's oxygen."
"Wait, you heard all that!" Izuku said, looking a bit red in the face.
"Kind of hard to ignore it when you mumble like that."
"Yeah, I mumble when I get excited about stuff. It's a habit that's starting to make a comeback."
"Well, I don't care if you get rid of it or not; all I'm here to do is train you and eat the breakfast you give me. Also, I'm done for the day, so make sure you get that cut on your arm checked out." Izuku looked down, and sure enough, he reopened the cut on his arm that he got from fighting Bakugo earlier in the morning.
Izuku decided to just leave it since it wasn't bleeding a lot. He continued to work on his flame control by the ocean water. Izuku spent the rest of the day working on his temperature control and size control to avoid burning through his oxygen too fast. Izuku got the size down to where it wasn't so violent around his entire body and the flames were only coming out about a foot and a half off of him. The falmes were still too violent and he still burned through his oxygen too fast, but this was progress.
Temperature and size control were still hard for Izuku to control, though, and Izuku was far away from getting good control over single-limb flame summoning. Izuku could do single-limb summoning, but it ate through his oxygen supply like crazy. And Izuku actually managed to fire off some flames, but he wasn't ready for that yet. The second he fired off some violent black flames, he passed out due to oxygen loss. Izuku desperately needed more regulation over his flame size and temperature if he was going to shoot fire and use it as a small strength enhancer.
At the end of the day, Izuku packed up and began walking home, tired from repeatedly using all of the oxygen in his body. Izuku walked along a fairly deserted street since it was getting dark. Unfortunately, because it was so deserted, it was the perfect time for someone to attack him.
In an instant, Izuku was grabbed by the collar and thrown into an alleyway. And due to his tiredness, it made him sluggish. Izuku was too slow to react to the person as they threw him against a wall. Izuku was about to fight back, but then he felt a blade on his neck, and his blood ran cold as he stopped moving for fear of having his throat cut open.
Once Izuku stopped moving, he was given the chance to see a pair of golden vertical slit eyes peering right at him. And they were accompanied by a big toothy smile that showed off the canines in her smile. Then Izuku saw her blonde hair in two messy buns that looked like his attacker had rushed to put them in. Finally, Izuku noticed the pale skin and the blush that only got redder as the attacker stared at him.
The two were locked in a silent stare down as they observed each other, but only one person had a knife to their neck that carried a silent threat that said move or talk and you die. Then the girl grabbed Izuku's injured arm and brought it closer to her mouth. Izuku wondered what she was going to do, and he tried to resist, but then the knife was pushed into his neck to remind him of the unspoken threat, and he had no choice but to let her take his arm.
Izuku watched as she rolled his sleeve up and looked at his cut, then she bit down into his arm, reopening the cut again. Izuku was too shocked at the sight to try and resist or feel the pain. Instead, he watched her lick up his blood and drink it, but the strange part was that she looked like she was completely enjoying it. It looked like she was in ecstasy as she licked up his blood. Then the knife dug into his neck more, allowing it to draw some blood, and it made Izuku's face contort into one of anger as he stood there powerless to do anything.
Izuku tried to summon his flames, but he was so tired and his emotions were out of order that he couldn't create the heat needed to get the flames going. 'Shit, my body and quirk are both exhausted, and my emotions are out of sync, so I can't properly summon my flames!'
Izuku's female aggressor stopped licking up his arm and turned her attention to his neck. Faster than Izuku could see she bolted to his neck and bit down, making him gasp out in surprise. Izuku felt her lick his neck and suck on it, which oddly made him feel pleasure. She removed the knife from Izuku's neck to suck more, and he thought this was his chance to escape, but then Izuku felt the tip of the knife against his crotch and knew that if he moved, he could say goodbye to his manhood.
Finally, this crazy vampiric girl finished biting and sucking on his neck and drinking from the cut wound. She stepped back, and Izuku saw her in nothing but a loose-fitting school cardigan, and she had the biggest smile ever on her face. Then she stared Izuku down and said one phrase, then ran out of the alley.
"I'll see you later, hot stuff!" She said in a cheery voice as he dashed off.
Izuku tried to follow her, but once he got out of the alley, no one was around. Giving up because there was no sign of his attacker anywhere, Izuku looked at his forearm with the cut and saw that it was bruised due to how much that girl sucked on it. He pulled out his phone, took a picture of his neck and saw she had given him hickies and a few bit marks. Izuku was filled with anger at what had just happened to him. 'I was assaulted by this bitch of a girl at knifepoint?! What the fuck! I can't call the cops because they'll just laugh at me and dismiss it and say my girlfriend did that to me! She's dead the next time I see her!'
"The next time that bitch comes at me, I'll smack the fuck out of her!"
