Loki feels a familiar sensation on his thigh. He refocuses on his Father.
"This is the last goddamn time, Loki."
Loki muffles a snicker. Can a God say that?
Odin looks at Frigga.
"You are sentenced to Earth."
Big deal.
"Stripped of powers."
Oh well.
"In a body that suits your age."
What the Hel?
"Allfather." Thor begs.
"No. He needs to be punished." Odin turns back to Loki. "If you're going to act like a child, so be it."
"He can't handle it." Thor argues.
Rude.
"If you are so determined to care about this, go be his parental figure."
Tuesday 7:30 am
They are magicked into an empty school building.
Loki looks down at his teenaged body.
It's been millienia! It's kinda cool until he remembers he can't shape shift.
There's dots on his hands.
"Welcome." Someone says, brushing past Thor.
"Greetings, human."Thor replies.
The man looks at Thor strange. Loki feels the need to take over.
"Hi. My name is Luke Lau- Laherty. My brother and I were looking to enroll me in this establishment."
Another strange look. Maybe that didn't help.
"You'd like to enroll at Midtech?"
It dawns on him.
"Yes. It's such a fine institution. What do I need to do?" Loki asks.
The secretary proceeds to list the tests Loki would need to undergo.
Tuesday 8:00 am
"Dude!" Ned says, finally getting Peter's attention.
"Hey."
Ned scrutinizes him. Then follows his eyes to his thigh.
"Don't tell me..."
"Yes, I wrote them again."
"Peter."
"I know, I know. They haven't responded my entire life. I was going to give up. Why would they respond now?"
Ned nods. Peter says silent.
"So why did you change your mind this time?"
"I wanted to tell them Mr. Stark arranged for my top surgery."
"For real!" Ned shouts.
Everyone in the hall looks at them.
"Can you keep it down?"
"I'm really excited." Ned says, taking a breath. "And so are you or you would have reached out to me before you told them."
"Yeah." Peter says listlessly.
"Dude."
"What is it about me? Are they transphobic? Do they just hate me? Is it because I couldn't spell when I was 6?"
"Oh, Pete."
"Why won't they return a single message? Hi would be fine."
Tuesday 3:00 pm
Loki finishes his tests. He and Thor are magicked to a house. The phone in his pocket tells him they are 1.3 miles from the school.
"Loki. How do you work the metal bread box?"
Every. Damn. Time.
"Thor, we've been visiting Midgard since before the toaster oven was created. You are literally a genius by Earth standards."
Loki moves the poptarts from under the oven to inside and turns the dial.
The brothers discuss their plans while they wait for the food to be ready.
Ding.
Thor takes a bit.
"Brother." He says, tugging on Loki's sleeve. "This is perfect."
Loki stares at his skin.
"So hang out at Stark tower or get a job?"
Loki continues staring.
"Loki."
"I have to go."
He walks to his room and takes off his shirt.
It can't be.
Lines and lines of words are on his skin.
As he undresses, he feels his mentality switch.
They look closely at the biggest words on their thigh. That familiar feeling when they received their punishment.
They have a soulmate.
Where's a pen?!
