On Twitter, I post occasional twitterfics and drabbles that are anywhere from 40 to a few hundred words. In honor of the premiere tomorrow, I thought I'd "complete" my Season 4 one-shots by compiling them all in one place. While the last one is a little dark, I'm confident that our favorite couple will find their way back to one another this season. Thanks for reading!

As the last bell rang, and Maya moved to turn off the camera, the rest of the team moved to console Andy. As they hugged one another and wiped away their tears, Andy looked up, hoping to catch Robert's eye one more time, but the spot where he stood against the wall was empty.

"Miller, what the hell?" Vic asked, stepping between Robert and Dean. "Nasty to me, belittling Jack for trying to build a healthy relationship, and now hounding Sullivan, who's only trying to make amends. What's your problem?"

"I'm in love with you."

"Andy," Robert began cautiously. "You've been eating strange things at all hours of the day. Is there any chance you could be, well, pregnant?"

"Hell no!" Andy exclaimed. "We're in the middle of a global pandemic. Can't a girl do a little stress eating?"

Andy enters the kitchen. Robert is re-arranging the dishes in the dishwasher, again.

"Why don't you just explain to me how you'd like the dishwasher loaded? It's clear my skills in that area don't measure up to your expectations," Andy teases.

"Well, you have many other skills that I appreciate," Robert responds with a grin, "And I'm afraid I won't get to experience them if spend too much time complaining about the dishwasher."

Andy sat at the front desk, taking a minute to contemplate the form in front of her. She glanced up, and saw Robert in the captain's office, completely engrossed in the paperwork on his desk. She knew from the slight crease in his forehead that he was deep in thought, but that would soon change. Returning her focus to the paper, she filled in the remaining boxes quickly before looking at the signature line.

"It's time," she thought to herself, and even though she was at peace with her decision, her hands shook slightly as she signed and dated the form.

Taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm her nerves, she pushed back from the desk and walked the short distance to the captain's office slowly. Once she took this step, her life would change forever. Knocking just loud enough to get his attention, she waited for him to look up and grant her permission to enter.

"Come it," he called, closing the file in front of him with a sigh. He could take a break from paperwork for a few minutes.

Andy opened the door, walked in, and stood in front of his desk. She didn't sit or give any indication of the reason for her visit. She paused there, not sure what to say.

Curiosity finally got the best of Robert. "What's up?" he asked when the silence got to be a bit unnerving.

"I need to give you this," Andy said, putting the piece of paper on top of the file he was reading moments ago.

Robert glanced at the form in front of him. The Seattle Fire Department logo was the first thing that caught his attention, and then the title on the form: "Request for Light Duty." It was an official human resources form, used by firefighters who were injured and needed temporary reassignment as they recuperated.

"Are you ok?" Robert asked quickly, concern evident in his voice. As far as he knew, Andy hadn't been injured, but perhaps she had been keeping something from him.

"Keep reading, Robert," Andy instructed, her voice sounding calmer than she felt.

Following his wife's command, he scanned the form and found the section where the requestor listed a reason for the re-assignment. In that box, in Andy's neat block handwriting, was the one word that would change both of their lives forever: "pregnancy."

Seeing it there, in black and white, a smile filled Robert's face. "We're pregnant?" he asked, needing to hear the confirmation.

Andy grinned and nodded her head slightly. As she did, Robert quickly left his chair and pulled his wife into a hug, leaning down to capture her lips in a kiss as he did.

Andy and Robert arrived at the station before the rest of the A-shift. Noticing the coffee pot in the beanery was empty, Andy started a fresh pot while Robert poured two bowls of cereal. They sat down at the table to eat, enjoying a few minutes of quiet before the day began.

Before long, the room was buzzing with the chatter of their teammates as they filled their coffee mugs and grabbed breakfast.

Travis was the first to notice. "What is this, decaf?" he said with a grimace as he swallowed the first sips of coffee.

"Definitely decaf," Vic grumbled, taking a small drink from her mug. "Who made this?"

"I did," Andy called from the table.

Dean chimed with his own comment. "Why on earth would you do that? Pru's teething and I was up most of the night. I need the real stuff if I'm going to make it through the day."

As he spoke, he went to the pot and poured what remained of the decaf in the sink before grabbing the container of regular coffee from the shelf.

"All that caffeine isn't good for the babies," Andy said quietly, glancing at Robert with a sly smile.

The crew continued with their morning routine for a few seconds, complaining about the coffee situation as they chatted.

"Wait a second," Ben commanded, a little louder than necessary. As he spoke, everyone got quiet, seemingly replaying Andy's last words in their heads.

"You're pregnant!" Maya exclaimed.

"Babies?" Vic repeated, placing emphasis on the end of the word.

Andy's smile grew bigger as she reached across the table to grasp Robert's hand. "Yes," she replied. "I'm pregnant, and it's twins."

As everyone's eyes traveled between Andy and the proud father-to-be-, he somewhat smugly held up one finger, and then two, providing all the confirmation that anyone needed.

"Andy," Robert called to his wife. She paused and turned toward him, but just as he opened his mouth to speak, she started talking.

"Please don't ask me again to come back to 19. I don't want that. I'm doing good work here, and while it'll never be the same, I like my team," Andy explained.

Robert knew she was right. She wouldn't get the recognition she deserved for her leadership skills as long as she stayed at 19, where everyone outside the station assumed she got her job because of her father, and that she was only successful as a lieutenant because of his handpicked team.

"I understand why you don't want to come back to 19," Robert agreed. "From everything I've heard, you're doing great at 23, and the higher-ups are noticing, but what I don't understand is why you won't come home. Everyone else has moved on, even Maya. Why can't you get past your anger?"

Andy looked closely at the man standing in front of her. She could see the toll the last 10 months had taken on him and the uncertainty in his eyes as he waited for her response. He reached his large hand out to touch her cheek, desperate for a moment of physical connection, and she allowed herself to lean into his hand for a moment, temporarily savoring the feel of his gentle caress.

Then she spoke. She knew the words would hurt him, and she found no joy in saying them, but she felt she owed him the truth. "It's not that, Robert. I stopped being angry months ago. It's just I don't know if I can trust you again."

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Robert standing alone in the room, his hopes for a reconciliation with his wife dashed.
