Not a soul could be seen throughout Unikitty Castle, except for Dr. Fox. She was currently doing a patrol of the castle, checking to see if anyone was here. She peeked around walls, looked in every corner, and scanned the castle for any heat signitures, "Hello? Anyone here?" she called out. No one else but her was there, she was completely alone in the castle... and that was just what she wanted, "Everyone's gone, time for some fun." she said to herself.
She took the lift down to her lab and went into her private study, "I've been wanting to do this for a long time." she thought at she pressed a few buttons on a panel that was placed on a wall near the door. The study began to completely transform itself, the usual furniture was lowered into the floor and the decor was flipped into something completely different. They were all replaced by things that were a lot more childish and cutesy.
Some examples include her desk being replaced with a playpen, her work bench becoming a crib, and a high chair and changing table replaced her chair and couch. The floor converted itself from a carpet into a plush puzzle-themed floor and walls turned from beige to blue with murals of baby animals. It didn't stop there, a few of her robot helpers came out of a hatch and placed a few baby toys in the playpen and placed a few clothes on the changing table before going back where they came from.
Unbeknownst to anyone else in the entire kingdom, Dr. Fox was not only the kingdom's top scientist, but also a real child at heart, or would that be baby at heart. The one thing she loved doing just as much as science was having a so-called 'Baby Time' to herself. This was time in which she could just unwind and relive a more innocent part of her childhood, "Now then, let's begin." she said before heading to the changing table.
She took off her lab coat, shirt, pants, and underwear before reaching into the cuboard of the table and pulled out some changing supplies. The thing she was most excited to see was the diaper. She made them herself, thick and poofy with spaceship designs on them, she held one in her paws relishing in it's soft feel and crinkling sounds it made when she squeezed it. She laid it down on the changing table and opened it up before sitting down right on top of it.
She threaded her tail through the hole in the back before taping up the sides. After this, she pulled it open by the waistband and spread some powder inside. After giving the diaper a small pat, she hopped off the table and enjoyed the soft padding on her waist. Sparkle matter popped out her head as she listened to the crinkling sounds, her tail wagging as well.
After this, the scientist put on the clothes that were laid out for her. The first was a shirt that was colored pink with the words 'Little Genius' printed on the front. It was a replica of a shirt she used to have when she was little, made bigger to fit her. She then put on the baby blue booties and mittens, the latter of which were modified so that she could have a better grip with them.
Now that the fox was all padded and dressed, it was time for the real fun. She waddled over to the playpen and went inside through a small gate. Once inside, she looked around at all the baby toys she had gathered over the years, ranging from blocks, simple logic toys, and rattles. She eventually decided on a plush bear from her youth, picking it up and cuddling it, "Good to see you again Mr. Teddy." she said to it.
She then sat on a beanbag chair and let herself sink into it. She imagined that she was a year old again, cuddling her teddy without a care in the world. Soon, Dr. Fox felt thristy, prompting her to get up and go to the small fridge near the high chair, all while still clutching her teddy. She pulled out a bottle of milk and set it to warm up on a device on top of the fridge, her tail swaying side to side as she waited.
The bottle was eventually warmed up to perfection, and Dr. Fox licked her lips before inserting the bottle into her mouth. She sat down in the middle of the room as she suckled the warm milk, her diaper crinkling as she did so. The milk felt so good sliding down her throat and into her waiting belly, filling it up with the warmth that made her feel so happy. She eventually finished the bottle and gave a tiny burp before sighing contently and sprawling out on the floor. This was definitely a good day, with a soft diaper around her waist and a belly full of milk, the scientist was as happy as she could be.
"Dr. Fox?" a voice called out, causing Dr. Fox to sit up in shock and see who was there. She found that it was Unikitty standing at the door of the study with a shocked look on her face. Dr. Fox blushed as she realized that she had made the rookie mistake of having a secret like this, she left her door unlocked, "Are you wearing a diaper?" Unikitty asked, staring at the poofy garment around the fox's waist.
"Uhh... I can explain this..." Dr. Fox stammered as she tried to come up with a lie, "T-These are a new invention of mine! The comfiest and most fashionable underwear that has ever been made. Not only is it comfy to wear, but its also customizable, neat huh?" she explained, hoping that her friend's oblivious naivete would take hold.
"Doc, I think I know a diaper when I see one." Unikitty said flatly, dashing Dr. Fox's hopes of keeping her secret safe. She looked down in shame, she was supposed to be the kingdom's top scientist, a picture of brilliance and confidence. Now here she was in front of Unikitty, dressed like a baby while standing in a nursery, an empty bottle and teddy bear at her feet. The embarrasement would be absoultely brutal to her reputation, she could already feel the tears forming in her eyes.
At that moment though, the unexpected happened, Unikitty walked up to her and gave her a gentle hug, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." she said.
Dr. Fox was confused, "B-But I thought that..." she started to say until she was shushed by Unikitty.
"Come on Doc, I can easily tell that you wanted this to be a secret. Besides, I saw enough to see that you were really happy just now." Unikitty said.
Dr. Fox gave a small smile and returned the hug, glad that Unikitty had her back, "Thanks Unikitty." she said after breaking the hug.
"Just one question though, I get that people relax in their own way, but I've never seen anything like this before." Unikitty asked with her usual curiosity.
Dr. Fox blushed again before answering, "Well, there is a small group of people who do this sort of thing for fun. It's mostly referred to as 'Baby Time.' It gives us a chance to really relive our childhood."
"Gee, you sometimes act very calm and mature most of the time I didn't really take you for someone who would do something like this for fun." Unikitty said.
"What can I say? I am real kid at heart." Dr. Fox said while picking up her plushie and cuddling it.
Unikitty smiled and giggled a little at how cute her friend looked, she also seemed really happy too, happier than she was most of the time. At that moment, a crazy idea popped into her head, "Doc, this may seem kinda out of nowhere, but would you mind if... I joined you?" she asked somewhat awkwardly.
Dr. Fox's eyes went wide as her friend asked this, "Why exactly?" she asked.
Unikitty awkwardly fiddled her paws together, "Well, you seem so happy like this, and I just want to see if this will make me just as happy." she said.
Dr. Fox seemed unsure about this at first, she only utilzed her Baby Time for herself. As such, she really wasn't expecting someone else to join her. Still, Unikitty has done so much for her, and keeping her secret was just the most recent item to that ever growing list. Letter her join was the least she could do, "Then let's get you padded up." she said.
"Yay!" Unikitty cheered as she immediately flew over to the changing table and lay down on it. Dr. Fox giggled at her friend's enthusiasm and locked the door before attending to Unikitty.
She got out one of her spaceship-print diapers and powder, "I really wasn't expecting anyone else to join me, so I only have these designs." she said.
"That's fine, I'm sure we can fix that if we decide to do this again." Unikitty said.
Dr. Fox smiled and applied some powder to Unikitty waist before threading her tail through the hole and taping the diaper up, giving it a pat and making Unikitty giggle. The princess got off the table and admired the diaper she now wore, "Wow, you really made this thing super poofy!" she said.
"Try sitting down in it." Dr. Fox suggested.
Unikitty did so, making her diaper crinkle in the process, "Wow, it's so soft and crinkly too!" she said.
"Told you. So, want to play with my toys?" Dr. Fox asked.
"Do I?" Unikitty said while going over to the playpen with Dr. Fox, eyes widening at all the fun looking toys she had, "Can we play with the blocks Doc? Please?" she asked, making her eyes big and sparkly.
"Sure." Dr. Fox said as they began to make a structure with the blocks with Unikitty humming to herself as she did so. After a while, they had a small castle built, both padded besties smiled at their work.
Unikitty belly grumbled, "Oh, must've forgot to have a snack." she said.
"Don't worry, I got you covered." Dr. Fox said as she brought Unikitty over to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of milk. She set it to warm and Unikitty watched with anticipation. The milk was eventually done heating and Dr. Fox asked, "Would you like me to feed you?" she asked.
Unikitty jumped into her friends arms and said, "Go for it." Dr. Fox giggled at this and sat down while cradling her friend. She inserted the bottle into her mouth and smiled as she watched her suckle. It amazed Dr. Fox how much excitement Unikitty had for the littest things, it actually made her look like even more of a baby than she was, and that was a compliment in this case.
The bottle was eventually finished and Unikitty gave a content sigh before rubbing her belly in satisfaction, "Nothing like a warm tum tum while hanging out with a bestie." she said.
"But that's not the best part." Dr. Fox said before pulling out a plate of cookies from the fridge, causing Unikitty to smile wide, "Eat up." Dr. Fox said. Unikitty obliged and hugged her friend before eating a cookie. It was at this point when the scientist realized that she truly had a best friend by her side.
All the cookies were soon gone, leaving the two padded friends rubbing their now full bellies while licking leftover crumbs from their lips. Dr. Fox then let out a small yawn, catching Unikitty's attention, "Are you sleepy?" she asked.
"No, that was just..." Dr. Fox said before yawning again, this time louder.
Unikitty was about say something until a yawn escaped her mouth, a result of catching her friend's yawning bug, "It's OK, I'm sleepy too."
Dr. Fox then stood up on unsteady feet, "Well then, I guess its... *yawn* nap time." Dr. Fox said.
"What? But I wanted to *yawn* play some more." Unikitty sleepily complained.
"Babies need their naps." Dr. Fox said before yawning again, making Unikitty sleepier.
She was about to interject when another yawn escaped her, "OK, let's take a nap." Unikitty said while rubbing her eyes.
Dr. Fox first went to the playpen and pulled out a goofy-looking dragon plushie before giving it to her, "Always sleep with a buddy." Unikitty took the plushie and cuddled it before heading off to the crib. Dr. Fox then dimmed the lights in the room and set two other features, scent spritzers to fill the room with a soothing lavender scent and speakers that played a relaxing lullaby.
The padded fox waddled to the crib with a sleepy stumble, but managed to make it in time. Unikitty was already there, laying down on the mattress. Dr. Fox lay down next to her while cuddling her teddy, "This is great, right Unikitty?" she asked. She turned to her to find that she had already fallen asleep and was snoring gently. Dr. Fox relaxed as she listened to the lullaby, eventually closing her eyes and cuddling next to Unikitty. The two friends rested throughout the naptime, dreaming of having more padded fun together.
