Ch: 10
Hello anybody that is still out there and looking to read more of this. It's been a while. Life has been bland. School has been kind of harsh. Between now and last COVID-19 became a thing, so yeah, that kind of has been hectic moving from in class to online, however I'm almost done with my semester, so I'm going to write this chapter and upload it, then I'll be working on my finals. I'm going to try to do more during the summer, but no promises. I'm very lazy.
Oh, and I'm so excited that the Bleach anime is returning for the Thousand Year, Blood War Arc. Ok, now onto the story.

'Ozpin is dead. He is so dead.' I had been moving to trail the buzzard that was leaving with Team RWBY on their first mission, when I had been called by Ozpin. He said it was urgent, but damn him. He wanted my opinion on the school curriculum. That wasn't important, that was mundane. By the time I could finally leave, they were gone. Deciding to leave campus, lest I accidentally hospitalize someone, I head down into Vale, moving towards a hotel to stay in for the night. My room was currently unavailable, having accidentally torn the door from its hinges. Heading to bed, I was planning my day tomorrow already.
I had woken up early just like always. With a quick shower, I got dressed, wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Pulling my boots on, I put my wallet and scroll in my pocket before heading out. Reaching the front desk, I pay for the night and head out. Walking around for a bit, I come across a small candy shop. Heading in, I am met by a burly man running the cash register. Nodding to the man and receiving a nod in kind, I begin to move through the aisles, looking through the brands. Finding a bag of candy, I give a silent note of appreciation that candy from the other side of the barrier was finally making its way here. Then I stop. My eyes wide, I look back down at the candy. The barrier still held. It's been a few hundred years since this side of the world had contact with the rest. So how were Warheads here?
Schooling my features, I head to the register with the bag. Placing it down, the man charges me. Paying him a few Lien, I take the time to search his essence. Keeping my face hidden, I find he doesn't have an aura. I can feel his presence, so he's not suppressing it, he just doesn't have the aura of this world. He has something else. "You know, it's really nice that Vale has gotten these candies. The last time I had these, I was visiting a friend in Japan." I watch his face, and am pleasantly surprised when he doesn't look confused. He just seems to accept my statement. 'It seems the barrier has had another breach if he's here.' Placing my elbow on the table, I pick up the bag of candies and continue to speak, letting out common known information to anyone in the know about the other side of Earth. I am looking to identify his true employer.
"You know, it really sucks that we cannot get these more often, what with the barrier that spans the globe keeping normal humans out of this part of the world. But, I'm sure you knew that, seeing as you just recently set up shop here. So, how long since your boss opened this place?"
His response was immediate. So he wasn't here because he knew better. That means they are not the main operatives, likely the backup. A month he says. He's been here a month. I was going to ask him more when the ground began to shake. Dropping the candy, I turned around as the small amphitheater on the other side of the street suddenly exploded outwards, train wreckage blocking traffic. That is when I see them, first it was Yang, her yellow hair most prominent of the rest of her team. Eyes widening, I am about to step out to help them when I hear it, and just like yesterday, the headache is back. The roars of Grimm. As a King Tapitu shot through the rubble, it brought with it a horde of smaller Grimm. That was not too big of a problem. 30 Grimm, Team RWBY could handle. It was the hole in the ground which saw a greater variety of Grimm pouring out in greater numbers.
Heading back to the man, I grab my candy and move to head outside. Before opening the door, I turn to him and say, "You should probably close up shop for right now and activate the Grimm safety protocol so your windows don't get shattered in. We'll be sure to take care of this so make sure this shop of yours is still here when I'm done. I have a lot of questions regarding the illegal traversal of the world barrier." I give him a farewell glare as I open the door and head out. The moment the door closes behind me, the shutters come down, locking the building, just as the other shops are doing. Opening the bag, I pop one of the candies in my mouth, wincing from how sour it is as I cross the street. One of the Grimm, a Beowulf, senses my discomfort at the candy and turns to charge me. With a simple backhand, I snap its neck and fling it into another of its pack. "Oh how I've missed this flavor."
Timeskip: 20 minutes.
I had been moving to clear the civilians from the streets, moving them into shops before activating the defenses. There were a lot of Grimm here and my normal armor wasn't going to cut it, so I had been siphoning the physical composition of any Grimm I killed, causing them to disintegrate much faster. Once the last of the civilians were dealt with, I began to move towards my fellow students, seeing them fighting back against the horde. It was impressive watching them fight, knowing that the skills they were showing no, were almost all their own work. Sure, the added strength from the beginning of the semester to now might have been my influence and training, but even now, they are proving why they deserve to be here. Somewhere along the line, Team JNPR had joined the fray, Nora giving the King Tapitu a concussion probably, I mean, if it survived of course. Moving in, I watch an Ursa stalk towards JNPR's leader. Stepping close, I turn to see Pyrrha taking a step towards her friend. Raising a hand, I stop her, giving Jaune enough time to psych himself up enough to begin slashing at the Grimm. Watching his blade connect, I see him kill the Ursa on the first strike. Though the next few are unnecessary, I watch his cuts strike at vital locations on the Grimm. When he's done, I pull on the Grimm, seeing how it wasn't going to fall over and Jaune should conserve his aura and not desecrate the body.
As the Ursa hits the ground, I begin to absorb it to the haze around me, feeling that this is enough to make the armor. Stepping around the body, I place a hand on his shoulder. "Good kill. Though you killed it on the first strike. We'll have to work on observation when this is over, but nonetheless, you did good. Here, have a candy. Giving him one, he puts it in his mouth before coughing, not expecting how sour it is.
Stepping ever closer, the armor begins to form, black grooves of metal begin to form with every step I take. By the time my boots are covered in black plate armor, I'm walking on Grimm, a single step crushing their skull. As I begin to deflect the teeth and claws of the Grimm, the metal begins to form on my hands, covering my rings and forming gauntlets. As they finish forming, and with the metal slowly crawling up my body, I begin to punch holes in the chest of Ursa, the strength of my punch causing the air itself to explode outwards, killing more of the pack. By this point, the dastardly duo of Sun and Neptune have joined the fray, saying something about Junior Detectives. By the time I reach Ruby, I am ripping a Beowulf in half. Watching the brutal sight, she is the first to bear witness to the greatest of my armors, The Armageddon armor set. Placing the mask on, I cover my lower face, and as it clamps down and grit my teeth, moving to summon the paired blade. I pull forth from existence a very different blade. Instead of the long and slender blade most know of me to carry, I pull forth a massive western style broadsword. Its sheer length is over 9 meters long and half a meter wide. Swinging it to the side, it obliterates literally everything moving in its path, wiping out a section of the surrounding Grimm as well as killing a pack of Beowulf charging in from one of the surrounding streets.
"So, who's ready to have some fun?"
