AN: So this is it for now. I'll try and continue this on for Sep 28 the last pearlshipping day. Hope you enjoyed these two chapters :)

It was a new day and May was getting ready for a date with Drew. She was extremely excited, as it was a long time when they last had some time they were able to spend together like this. Both Drew and May being ribbon cup winners have little time off with having scheduled places for autographs, contest matches against other ribbon cup winners, and interviews. But today was the day they both had off and she was excided to spend time together with him. Her pokegear went off and she went to see who it was. There was a call from Dawn. As she was still getting ready, she put it just on voice and answered, "Hello?"

"Hi May, sorry to bother you. But we have a huge problem!" Dawn said.

"What is it?"

"Well, me and Ash tried to go and talk to Serena and… to make the long story short she ran off block me from her contacts."

"I see… She may just need some time to process it. Let me try giving her a call."

"Okay… Thanks so much May."

"No problem. I'll call you back if I was able to reach her."

"Alright! Sounds good!"

"Okay. Talk to you soon!"

They hung up, and May called Serena and when she answered said, "hi Serena!"

"May, Did you hear? Dawn… I can't believe she stole him from me!" Serena shouted.

May sighed. "It's not like that…"

"Of course you take her side!"

"No, it really isn't like that! Ash was the one to come to her. He was the one to confess to her!"

"… How long have you two been keeping this from me?"

"I've known for about a week and then she says they got together that day, and was told from Dawn that she'd get Ash to talk to you about everything when they had time… just what happened?"

"She just… told me she wanted to talk with me today. I thought it would be about helping me confess to Ash but, I saw them together… holding hands."

"Serena, is… are you okay?"

There was crying on the other side of the phone. "She knew I liked him! She told me, that Ash would be crazy not to want to go out with me!"

May frowned. "Serena…"

"Then she goes and… have Ash take her in his arms! How could she betray me like that!"

"Serena, she…"

"And then you… you hear this and think she did nothing wrong? That everything is okay?"

"She did nothing wrong. Ash chose her and not you!"

It was quiet on the other side.

"I'm sorry, Serena. We both really hoped the best for you… I'm here for you if you need a shoulder to cry on."

"Alright, thanks May. I just… I still feel so betrayed. Just because he tells her he likes her… did she not even once think of me?"

"Of course she did!"

"But she just went out with him."

"Yes, and she has that right. But that doesn't mean she doesn't care about your feelings. She called me the day they got together… crying. She realized this would hurt you and was upset by that fact."

Serena remembered how Dawn was at the café. How she looked incredibly sad and was very apologetic.

"Dawn has always been a great friend… right?"

"Yeah…"

Dawn was with Ash on the bench holding onto him with a frown. It's been a while since she talked to May and hasn't heard back from her. She wondered if Serena ever wants to be friends again. Then she got a call and she instantly answered and saw May and Serena on the screen. "Hi May, hi Serena…"

"Hi… May explained everything to me and… I'm really sorry," Serena said.

Dawn looked down with a frown. "I'm sorry too. I…"

Serena gave a small smile. "No need to worry. Just… take good care of Ash, okay?"

Ash smiled. "I think that'd be no problem for her! After all, she has done a great job so far!"

Serena held on to a smile but looked away with a pained look.

"You going to be okay, Serena?" Dawn asked.

Serena looked back to the screen. "It… will take some time, but I think I'll be okay!"

Dawn looked at her with a frown, not sure what to say. She still felt really bad about all this.

"It's okay, though! I do wish you both happiness together!"

Dawn smiled. "Thanks Serena."

"Don't mention it! Well, I should get going. Talk to you later."

"Alright, sounds good!"

They all said their goodbyes to Serena as she hung up.

Serena looked down after she hang up, but then she looked forward with a serious look. It still hurt that all her hard work to be better for Ash didn't mean a thing, but she believed that Dawn that will be good for him despite the fact she still wishes that it was her that Ash wanted. Now that she thought about it, while Ash treated her nicely, he really didn't seem interested in her like she was in him. In the end, she wanted things to work out for them despite still having strong feelings for Ash and the pain that goes along with that. Serena wouldn't want ether of them hurt over a bad breakup. She'll try her best to move on for the both of them. Serena took a deep sigh as she decided that she needs to head to Kalos and focus on becoming a great Kalos Queen to keep her mind off things. Right now, she decided to just focus on her own goals, and believes one day that another guy could wonder in her life, and they could fall in love with each other like what happened with both of her friends.

"Thanks for your help, May!" Dawn said.

"It was no problem at all! I'm glad to help out my friends!" May said.

Dawn knew she had plans today as she talked about it and how excited she was for the day. She felt terrible for doing this to her and taking up the little time she had with Drew away and knew that she had to do something for May for helping them.

"You're really awesome, May." Ash said. He looked over at Dawn, who was crossing her arms. "Of course, not as awesome as you Dawn."

Dawn smiled a little with Ash saying that, then turn her focus on May. "It is true, though. You are awesome, May!"

May smiled. "Thanks, you two! Well, I need to get going as well." May was extremely late meeting Drew and still had a few things she needed to do, but she was sure he'd understand. "I'll talk to you later!"

"Alright, talk to later!"

They said their goodbyes as they hung up.

Dawn had to leave to prepare for the pokemodel event happening today in Hearthome, and Ash was there to see her off at the airport. After that, he plans to head back to Vermillion with Goh and continue to help him and get back to work in the Pokemon World Tournament. The time he spent with Dawn felt so short and he wishes that he can stay longer with her.

"It was nice to see you again," Ash said.

Dawn smiled. "Yeah…" Dawn looked down with a frown. She wished that they could've done more together with the time they had together.

"We might not have spent much time with each other, but I'm glad to have help… even if I wasn't much help."

Dawn smiled at him. "You did great, Ash! Thank you for all that you did!"

Ash smiled. "No need to thank me… I'm glad to have helped you out anyway I can. After all, I care about Serena too. And I could tell that it was bothering you and wanted to make you happy."

Dawn smiled as she embraced Ash. "I'm so glad… to have meet you."

Ash held onto her tightly and rested his chin on head. "I'm glad to have meet you."

Dawn's plane had only a few people who need to board.

"Goodbye… Love you," Ash said.

"Love you too…" Dawn replied.

They embraced what felt like seconds. Then they looked into each other's eyes and inched closer to each other's faces. Their lips than touched and they had their first kiss.

A woman's voice blasted though a speaker, "the plane to Hearthome city is leaving in one minute…"

They pulled back with a blush.

"Oh, I need to get going! I-I'll call you when I can!" Dawn said.

Ash beamed at her. "I'll be waiting!"

"Good luck with the Pokemon World Tournament!"

"Thanks! And good luck with all your work!"

They waved at each other as Dawn rushed on the plane as the last passenger. Dawn quickly got to her seat and sat down with a smile and narrowed her eyes as she put her hands to her lips. She couldn't believe that they just kissed. She looked back at the airport with a smile, wondering what Ash was doing now.

Ash watched as Dawn's plane flew off with a smile. He loved spending time with her and couldn't wait to see her again.
