Sorry for the somewhat late update!

Chapter written on mobile, so I'll proof read and fix it when I get on my laptop later today.

NyaNyaKittyFace: Thanks for the review! For Akagekido, I WILL be explaining his backstory later on, but for now, I will tell you this: potato. As for Izuku's Quirk having unconscious effects, I was thinking that when he feels an overwhelming emotion, his Quirk will unconsciously activate and radiate energy from his body, in which it will behave differently depending on the emotion. If Izuku feels a positive emotion, he will radiate energy like a wave, spreading the emotion through the energy and into others the energy comes into contact with. If he feels a negative emotion, energy will crackle off him sort of like how Full Cowling does, except more violent, and having the ability to transfer emotions through the energy as well. I do plan on the downfall of Aldera, and I WILL have a positive emotion be Izuku's most powerful emotion. The "disappearance" of Akagekido's weapons shall be explained in this chapter. :trololol:

TW: Attempted rape.

Izuku had picked his first emotions to use Emotional Energy Manipulation with. Happiness, fear, and anger.

"Your most plentiful emotions. They will be the hardest to manipulate, but will have the most efficient energy conversion." Akagekido nodded in approval. Izuku was looking to strive, not settle.

"How do I use the energy?" Izuku asked. He stared at Akagekido, his emerald eyes shining with curiosity.

"The most efficient way to use emotional energy is to either increase your bodily capabilities or form the energy in a weapon, which can act as a conduit to further focus on offensive uses of your energy. Try to use your chosen emotions to convert into energy."

Izuku closed his eyes.

He searched his mindscape (where Akagekido resided in), looking for the strings that represented the emotions he had chosen. After wandering his mindscape, he found the emotions needed. Happiness had quite the resistance, requiring a lot of effort in order to loosen the string and release the energy.

Izuku turned to fear. He tried to pull on it. It didn't even move. Fear was even tougher to manipulate. If happiness was steel, fear was diamond.

He grit his teeth. He pulled harder. Fear wouldn't budge. Izuku knew that if he managed to manipulate fear, he would be able to convert the emotion into a massive boon of energy.

Then he had an idea.

Wrapping happiness's energy around his body, Izuku imbued his muscles with emotional energy. Strength increasing exponentially, he gripped the string and pulled.

Fear finally gave way, releasing a surge of energy that flowed into Izuku.

Finally, anger. If fear was diamond, then anger was graphene. Izuku would have to go Plus Ultra in order to be able to loosen anger's string. He took a deep breath, and got to work.

It felt like forever, but Izuku finally did it. Anger's string was now loose, years' worth of pain and rage turning into energy that overflowed like a waterfall. It was a lot of power. Too much, actually.

Izuku found himself back on Dagobah Beach, breathing heavily and sweating buckets. Akagekido looked at him in worry.

"I did it," Izuku said, panting. "I loosened the strings!" Akagekido grinned.

"Good. Now you should be able to use the emotions' energy freely. Try infusing yourself with the energy." Izuku called upon the energy, sending it through himself. It felt like a light tingle across his entire body. He didn't look like it, but Izuku felt powerful. Not at all like the last decade of his life. This was the beginning of a new phase in his life.

"I feel... strong." Izuku looked at his hands, flexing them. The tingle was weird, in a good way.

"Of course you do. You're using 3 of your strongest emotions to empower yourself. However, since this is your first time, deactivating the energy will leave you extremely sore. I would recommend trying to keep it up for the rest of our time here today. After all, there is one last basic technique, and it is best used in combination with this enhanced state."

"It's using a weapon, right?"

"Correct. Normally, it would take years of experience in order to master a weapon. But I believe in you Izuku. Think of a weapon that you think will suit you best, then gather emotional energy and shape it into that weapon." In a burst of energy, Ketsueki, Akagekido's naginata, appeared in the oni's hand. "However, I do want to give you a gift."

Akagekido held up his empty hand, and in another burst of of energy, a second naginata, identical to Ketsueki, appeared in it. It looked different. It was a dull gray, missing the ornaments that Ketsueki had, such as the glowing blade, or the ribbons trailing from the top of the hilt. He held it out, gesturing Izuku to take the weapon. Izuku looked up at Akagekido.

"Y-you want me t-to... take Ketsueki?"

"Not quite. What I am giving you is a base form. When I have discovered that I could form all types of weapons using Emotional Energy Manipulation, I also realized I could create base forms. Base forms are exactly what they're labeled: base forms of a weapon the user is able to create. By imbuing a base form with different emotions, you can change how the weapon behaves. I imbued Ketsueki with a single emotion, anger." Akagekido held up Ketsueki and examined the blade end, the glow of the blade seeming to pulse in response. He looked back at Izuku. "I want you to use this base form. It will save time in choosing what weapon you want, and I'm sure you would like to train with said chosen weapon as much as you can before the entrance exams."

Izuku nodded in response. Tentatively, he reached up and grabbed the base form with both hands. It reacted to his touch, as some of Izuku's emotional energy flowed into the weapon, turning it a shade of green similar to Izuku's eyes. It was surprisingly lightweight, the only real weight coming from the blade end. He spun it around a few times, then looked back to to Akagekido.

"Please, teach me Akagekido-sensei."

Akagekido grinned.

Over the course of the next few hours, Akagekido taught Izuku the basics of using a naginata. Combined with emotional energy boosting his body, he swung the weapon countless times, adjusting his form based on the strike he was performing.

As Izuku took a five minute break and drank from a water bottle, watching the sunset, Akagekido sat down next to him.

"Good, you're learning at a quick rate. I imagine you'll reach an intermediate level of skill before the entrance exam." Akagekido nodded in approval.

"I'm already starting to feel the soreness caused by this enhanced..." Izuku trailed off. "Hmm... what should I call this state?"

"If you want to give your enhanced state a unique name, by all means, go ahead. This is your Quirk now. Make it yours and yours only."

"Maybe..." Izuku snapped his fingers. He looked at the energy crackling and radiating off of him. "How about Aura Shroud?"

"Good name." Izuku beamed. He turned back to the beach, looking at the mountains of trash that covered Dagobah.

"I wouldn't recommend hauling trash today. You are already sore from learning state and weapon already look like you're going to collapse." Akagekido poked Izuku in the arm, who winced as his arm throbbed in protest.

"Go home and rest." The oni ordered, grabbing Izuku's shoulders and turning him to the right direction to return home.

Izuku passed by his local 7/11, only a couple blocks away from his house. As he passed by the store, he heard trash cans being toppled over behind the cornerstore, followed by a shriek.

Instincts flaring, and ignoring his sore body, he rushed into the alleyway, base form naginata manifesting in his hand.

Behind the 7/11, he spotted a pig-headed rotund man, cornering a smaller pink figure against the dumpster. From what he could see, the pig-headed man was drooling, his saliva dripping onto the floor, and his breath heavy, creating small clouds of fog every time he exhaled. The shorter pink figure, which he identified as a pink skinned girl with yellow horns, black eyes with yellow sclera and pink hair in a style similar to his, was shaking, tears rolling down her eyes.

They were surrounded by globs of a goopy liquid that sizzled on the ground, most likely the girl's quirk.

Izuku rushed forward with a battle cry, raising his naginata. The pig headed man could only turn around before the naginata collided with his temple and slammed him into the ground, the concrete cratering underneath the impact. The pig-man was instantly unconscious.

Stepping back, Izuku's eyes widened in horror. Did he kill him? Did he cave in his skull by accident? Oh no, now he was a murderer, and murderers are villains, and oh my god he was a villain.

Do not worry. Akagekido said in his mind. Weapons formed by emotional energy do not kill. They target the opposition's consciousness, instead of the physical body. Somehow, they still cause the same pain as being struck in the same area with the actual weapon. Emotional energy will only kill if you want it to kill. I hope it never comes to that.

Izuku let out a sigh of relief. He didn't want to ruin his chances of being a hero before he even graduated high school.

Izuku turned to the pink skinned girl as she trembled against the dumpster. Her school uniform jacket was torn, on the floor. The white undershirt was unbuttoned from the top, the tie missing, and her skirt was crumpled. That means...

Izuku instantly lost all worry he had for the man he'd taken down. His eyes narrowed in disgust as he looked back at the unconscious pig-man. He was lucky he got here when he needed to, otherwise this man might've done unspeakable things to the girl. Speaking of the girl, she was still shaking, attempting to shrink away from Izuku. Quickly, the base form naginata in his hands faded away, and he put his hands up, showing that he was making no attempt to harm her.

"H-hey, I'm not here to h-hurt you.."

The girl was still trembling, her golden pupils dilated and breathing still rapid, looking at her unconscious attacker. As she leaned against the wall and slid down into a sitting position, Izuku sat down with her, and interlocked his fingers with her. He recognized the signs of a panic attack (he'd had many of his own).

"Hey, breathe," Izuku whispered. He shifted to block the girl's view of the pig-man. He looked her in the eyes, and she shakily looked back. "Square breathe with me. In for 4, hold for 4, out for 4." She weakly nodded, and they spent the next few minutes square breathing, the girl seeming to calm down. Izuku never let go of her hand throughout.

He pulled out his phone and dialed 119. Gently, he asked, "H-hey... what's your name?"

The pink skinned girl was still trembling but her pupils were no longer dilated as much. With a small voice, she replied, "A-Ashido Mina..."

"That's a nice name, Ashido-san." Izuku tried to give off the friendliest smile he could, but it was a little hard considering he was right next to a potential rapist's unconscious body, who could wake up at any second. He hoped the police would hurry.

In an attempt to comfort Ashido, Izuku took off the tracksuit he had been wearing, gingerly draping it over her shoulders. It didn't seem like much, considering that she would most likely be mentally scarred for the rest of her life, but she seemed to appreciate the gesture, as she pulled the tracksuit closer to herself and shot him a wobbly smile, as the sound of emergency sirens got closer. He smiled back and re-interlocked their fingers again, and they sat in silence, still holding hands, before Izuku slumped over, finally passing out from a combination of soreness and exhaustion. He did it. He saved someone.

This is a 2 part chapter! I originally wanted it to be 1 chapter, but I want to separate Izuku's and Mina's POVs.
