Year 20XX AD

The time is few hours before midnight. Somewhere in Midchilda, inside a certain building, Yuuno Scrya being badly wounded, slumped onto the floor. As he leans on to the wall, he takes out an azure-colored orb out of the jacket's pocket he is wearing.

"Freeze!", shout an enforcer in front of Yuuno, who chased him earlier into this building.

Quickly, he shoved the orb back into the pockets and let his hands lay motionlessly on the floor. Not like moving them or doing any other motion help him in this situation. The Enforcer stands in front of him can intercept him instantly before any of his magic could be conjured.

"You are under arrest for suspicion of treason against TSAB!"

Treason, the worst crime one could commit in TSAB controlled territory. Even being suspected of it can already put one into prison for considerable amount of time. This is a military state after all. Such rule is not alien for its citizen. The problem is how did he came into being suspected in the first place?

What he did, it was done in the manner of absolute secrecy. No one knows his plan of this deed. He did not uttered bit of it to anybody on anytime at anywhere. It is undoubtedly illegal, one that touched the legal boundary of Lost Logia, which is why he did it in secret.

"Enforcer, how did TSAB suspect me in the first place? ".

Yuuno was curious of this circumstance. According to himself, nothing suspicious was committed prior to his crime.

"Anyone would be curious of you when YOU, out of all people, start taking vacation out of nowhere"

It was a comedic answer he did not expect from her in this situation, which caused him to burst into a short yet loud laugh.

"What kind of obsessive freak would do that?"
"It doesn't matter. What matter is their suspicion is right. This is Harlaown, I have apprehended the suspect in a building, sending the coordinate to CC now"

As she finished updating command center of the current situation, Fate T. Harlaown sit besides him while hugging her knees.

"Aren't you going to put a bind on me?"

"I'll put it when the cavalry arrives. Not like you can do anything right now…you suffered enough already".

He was flabbergasted with her reply. This Enforcer was always professional in her job, no matter who is it, she always does what should be done. Sure, Yuuno is someone she knew for a very long time but its not like they were particularly close, at least he thinks so. In fact, he thought she hates him more than anyone who hates him, which is basically the general population of Mid-Childa now days. Not because of his crime but due to his relationship with the infamous White Devil. The current circumstance only served as a justification for their preconceived hatred towards him.

As far as he concerns, they were, at most, just friends with each other. Not to society though. They see him as a nuisance, as an insect who does not deserved to be in anywhere close to her, in literal and metaphorical sense.

"Why you did it?"

Fate breaks the momentary silence between them.
"You are not the type that do something like this. Nothing prior to this can be served as reasons for you to do it too. You were not in any danger of being threatened, not in dire need of money or any other material needs and none of your friends nor family were in danger", she asks while staring deep into his eyes.

"I have been thinking about this the entire time. No matter what hypothesis I bring, nothing adds up".
"I did it for myself', he replies to Fate. She noticed his eyes is filled with sorrow. This is new for her as his eyes are always filled with light.

"I…I am aware of it, Fate. Of how everyone hates me, Chrono and his family, the Yagamis, the Takamichis, Vivio…EVERYONE! I can see and feel it. They hate me so much to the point they wish I DIE!"

Fate feel into silence upon hearing this confession.

"But more than anything, I…I hate MYSELF THE MOST! If it were not for me, Nanoha would not be dragged into this world. She would not be a machine of war by TSAB, to waste her life and body to their goddamn agenda! It was my fault! I dragged an innocent girl to save my life decades ago. If I were more careful, this wouldn't happened! None of this would happen"

"It's not your fault…"
