Naruto felt slightly guilty about what he was doing, but if Sasuke knew why he was doing so, he probably would've come anyway.
Mizuki hated every aspect of the rookie nine. In the original work he hated Naruto exclusively, but that had changed. The other eight began to notice the discrepancy in treatment that Mizuki would give, Shikamaru being the one to put together that Mizuki hated Naruto.
The nine, not liking that their friend was being subtly harassed by a teacher, had made Mizuki's life hell.
Sasuke and Hinata went all out on him in Taijutsu, to the point he could barely win, but he couldn't complain, because a Chunin being hurt by academy students is just insulting.
Naruto created seals that would lightly shock him, thanks to another seal surreptitiously placed on his shoulder, whenever he walked through some doorways.
Shino would send flies to harass him whenever they were outside. Overall, bullying the instructor was fun.
Naruto decided then, that he'd do an experiment. Mizuki wanted the scroll of sealing for Orochimaru, since other major events hadn't changed much so far. If Naruto had a clan heir with him, would Mizuki stop?
"Why did you want to talk with me?"
"How would you feel about breaking into the Hokage's residence?"
Sasuke tripped over his feet and started coughing.
"Wha-why would you ask me that!?"
"Would you?"
"I...no!"
Naruto just looked at him.
"Well-Not unless I knew I wouldn't get caught…no, Naruto, no."
"And if you could get access to the scroll of sealing without consequences?"
Sasuke stared dead-pan for a second.
"And if we could say...get field promoted to Genin in the process…"
"What are you planning, Naruto. You've planned some pretty messed up things, but the Hokage…"
"Mizuki Sensei is a traitor."
"How."
"I can't exactly prove how, that's the point."
"I take it we'll 'heroically' take him down, getting a promotion in the process. That still doesn't account for the scroll of seal-...he wants it, doesn't he. So we're going to get it first?"
"Nope, he'll tell us to get it for him."
"Why would he tell two Genin to break into the Hokage's home. That's just-"
"Stupid?"
"Yes."
"Well, he isn't the brightest cookie."
"Why us?"
"He hates me and wants me dead."
"And me?"
"Well, you probably wouldn't have been in on this if I didn't ask you to walk with me."
"He hates you…"
"Yes?"
"Enough to send you against the Hokage without fear of discovery, he hates you so much he'd risk death?"
"Oh no, he's leaving the village, he just wants to take me down before he leaves."
"Okay, when is this happening and why should I join?"
"Tonight, and because it looks like he's about to ask us."
"You are absolutely sure we won't be in trouble."
"I wasn't last time."
"What-"
"Don't ask."

"So, do you two want to try something no one else has done before?" Mizuki finished.
Apparently, there was an ancient tradition, despite Konoha only being around 100 years old, where the top three academy students could test their might and try to steal a scroll from the Hokage's residence.
Sasuke, who hadn't really believed Naruto, was in shock.
Naruto grinned.
"You bet, Mizuki Sensei."

Naruto and Sasuke cut through the night.
Naruto was going to head through first, he would talk to the Hokage about a special discovery he'd made and fill the room with Kyuubi Chakra.
He would then fill the room with shadow clones and a henged Sasuke would enter.
Sasuke would move towards the front of the group and into the seal room, while Hiruzen couldn't feel his Chakra.
Sasuke would grab the seal while Naruto performed the -Oiroke no Jutsu- and they'd Hiraishin out, Sasuke being unaware of the last part.
Taking a deep breath, Naruto went through the window into the office.
"Jiji!"
"Naruto. It's a little late."
"I know, but I found something you'll find interesting."
"Okay. Go ahead."
"Well, the Kyuubi Chakra training has led to some interesting discoveries."
He started flooding the room with the malignant Chakra.
"Like what, Naruto?"
Naruto henged himself into the Hokage.
"My transformations involve projecting from two Chakra pathways, meaning they become something closer to a wide-band Genjutsu, essentially creating the perfect disguise against non-sensors."
"That's... extremely useful, actually, your mother could never do this…"
"I have a sneaking suspicion that my mom never cared enough to actually get the Kyuubi's blessing."
"That's probably true...oh Kushina…"
"I can also do this!"
Shadow clones flooded into the room, all having been made before, since Naruto didn't know the Mass Shadow Clone yet.
"Why are there so many-"
Naruto felt Sasuke move through the clones, reaching the front of the room.
"-Oiroke no Jutsu-!", around 40 Narutos yelled.
The Hokage didn't take critical damage, like the Anime, but his nose did bleed. Naruto felt childish for using the Jutsu, but he was a Ninja, and Ninja used every tool available, no matter how *stupid*.
"I got it!"
Sasuke yelled as he ran towards Naruto.
"Great!"
Naruto then grabbed Sasuke and Hiraishined to the forest.

"Okay Naruto, what the hell was that?"
"The Hiraishin."
"The fucking what?"
"The fourth Hokage-"
"Yeah, I know what it is, how are *you* using it?"
"That...might be something you need to gently rip out of my skull."
"...how-"
"I didn't know, you just told me. You need to work on that, dude. So your Mangekyo *can* do that."
"Hang on, that doesn't explain how you knew *exactly* what it does."
"Any mind reading ability is, by nature, violent. Your brain isn't built to be looked at in that way, our thoughts don't really work like that, so the ability has to format it somehow."
"Do I actually have permission to get it?"
"Well...I was joking, but now that I think about it, it gives me plausible deniability. It also saves me a tough conversation. Why not, how bad will this hurt?"
"Like a small headache if you're not blocking me and I'm intentionally not damaging anything on my way out."
"Go ahead."
Sasuke flashed his Mangekyo, looking into Naruto's eyes.
"How do you know the -Hiraishin no Jutsu-"
Naruto's head hurt a bit...then he felt Kurama's Chakra shoot through him.
'OH FUCK'
Sasuke's eyes turned off and he screamed, falling to the ground.
"SHIT! SORRY!"
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!"
"You didn't see?"
"All I saw was a giant...fox...oh my god. They always...the villagers call you demon… I could never figure out why. How did Shikamaru not put this together? Or hell, even Sakura?"
"I don't spend much time with Shika. Also, Sakura isn't nearly that observant or socially aware."
"Fair enough….Kyuubi...the Yondaime?"
"Yup. You're gonna have a fun conversation with T if you tell anyone that, though. I only, I mean *only* revealed this information because you are 90% likely to be my teammate, and because we weren't going to escape ANBU."
"Mizuki will be here soon, what are we going to do with this scroll?"
Sasuke was never one to panic in the face of new information, probably a quirk of his 'truth-seeker' personality as opposed to the 'avenger' from before.
"Can you copy text with a Sharingan?"
"Probably not in the way you're thinking, no, but I have methods to do so."
"Find the multi-shadow clone Jutsu and give it to me."
"Okay…..Shiki fuin….can't pronounce that….ah, here."
"Thank you."
Naruto looked over over the Jutsu. It wasn't that different from the normal shadow clone Jutsu, but he needed to explain knowing a forbidden technique in a better way than he did the normal shadow clone.
He went through the signs, pushing all three of his Chakra networks to the max, and nearly *3000* clones flooded the forest.
"That's not what I thought would happen. Village certainly knows where we are now."
Sasuke was wide-eyed.
Naruto had been holding the scroll, so it was copied with the clones. They wouldn't last long, though.
"Everyone read through the scroll now!"
He could feel his reserves draining, and fast they went. Shadow clones constantly evened out Chakra between every clone, only costing a little bit of Chakra to maintain, but 3000 was still far too many. The bulk of them came from Kurama's Chakra, he would not be happy about that, so they would go soon.
Sasuke read through the original in the meantime.
There were a lot of interesting seals and Jutsu in the scroll, most of them being forbidden on moral grounds, but the most interesting was the -All Consuming Singularity Bomb-, where one could level cities via a micro black-hole. The problem was that it couldn't be activated from a distance, and it was incredibly Chakra inefficient. It had probably never been used in the Anime or Manga because it was too situational and required more Chakra then most Hokage made in a week.
A shadow clone could make the bomb, but very few had enough Chakra for that other than Jinchuruki, and they had Bijuudama anyway.
It would be something Naruto would keep in mind.
After the clones finished, they returned to him. About 93% of his usable Chakra was gone. Then Naruto felt a new Chakra entering their area of the forest.
"Hello boys."
"Hey Sasuke?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you have something that could trap him?"
Sasuke paused, then grinned.
Mizuki was confused before looking into red, spinning eyes.
"-Tsukuyomi-"
Mizuki dropped like a sack of rocks.
"You know, I'd feel bad if you weren't such a dick.", Naruto spoke, now standing over Mizuki.
Then Naruto froze.
'I can't kill him...he needs to be interrogated...I can't seal him either...he'd break out of ropes if he wakes up before ANBU get here...sleeping tags!'
Naruto searched his pocket only to realize he didn't have the right tags…all he had was his medical seals.
'oh shit….I grabbed the wrong bag."
Naruto started tearing up a bit in the face of what he was about to do.
Naruto then took out a Kunai and started to cut off Mizuki's hands.
What he was doing was brutal, sure, but Mizuki sure as shit wasn't escaping without Ninjutsu.
"He screamed like a bit- oh my- what the hell, Naruto!"
Naruto was taking a serrated blade back and forth over Mizuki's wrist. It started making a scraping sound when he hit bone.
Sasuke, who had his Sharingan on, turned around and threw up.
Naruto wasn't doing great either, but what else was he going to do? Mizuki had to pay and T would probably want him alive. The Hokage needed to know Orochimaru was planning something, and Naruto couldn't just tell him that, he'd already been shady enough about his knowledge, and knowing information crucial to himself was very different from knowing the future.
"Naruto! Don't do thi-...oh..oh my god."
An unpleasant sound was made when Naruto made it through Mizuki's second wrist. Naruto then put seals on each stump to cut off the blood flow.
Naruto turned around to see Iruka patting Sasuke on the back.
"I see you guys had it handled, I guess. Did Mizuki put you up to stealing this?"
Time to lie in the best way possible, telling the truth.
Using his squeamishness from cutting off another human's hands, Naruto stuttered through saying, "M-mizuki-ssensei t-told us that it was tr-tradition to send the t-too three of the ac-cademy into the Hokage's office to st-steal this scroll. He's said no-noone had d-done it before."
Iruka made a pained face.
The ANBU appeared then, seeing Naruto holding the Scroll out to them with shaking hands.
Cat, being more familiar with Naruto's general behavior, gently took it from him without saying anything. The other ANBU just observed.
Naruto and Sasuke hadn't killed Mizuki but had done something equally as hard.
Sasuke seemed to have realized his part in it but Naruto noticed he wasn't angry, just kinda sick.
Naruto walked towards him and sat down.
"That...that wasn't fun.", Naruto started.
"I grinned. I put him in the tsukuyomi, not thinking about what we needed to do after. I get it now, it was this or kill him, since you can't seal a living being yet... but…"
"Yeah. I got caught up in the night as well."
"We need to talk to the Hokage and go home…"
"Yeah."
