Star Trek:

CTU Scenarios

Part 1:

Chapter 1:

January 2, 2162

UFP President's Log January 2, 2162. It's been close to a year since the founding of the United Federation of Planets, and I personally miss our DTI Officer Daniels (DTI: Department of Temporal Investigations), and I'm hoping that he has some new adventure up his sleeve.

As for my former crew, everyone has stayed aboard Enterprise, although we are waiting for my wife and her guest to arrive, while simultaneously waiting for Daniels.

Captain of the Enterprise is my wife, Erika Hernandez-Archer, former captain of USS Colombia and her first officer is Ambassador T'Pol, wife of Charles Tucker, still chief engineer.

Malcolm Reed, Travis Mayweather, and Dr. Phlox has also chosen to stay on board Enterprise.

"Hello, Mr President." Jonathan Archer turns to see the man behind the voice. "End Log. Well, Daniels, it's been a while since you've graced your presence among us in the 22nd Century. What new adventures do you have for us?"

Daniels replies, "There are several scenarios in history that need to be amended." Daniels handed him a PADD. "What do you know about Terrorist Attack history on this planet alone?" "Probably not as much as you, Daniels, so why don't you enlighten me."

Daniels replies, "Okay. We can't change what happened on 9/11/01. But we can change scenarios for one man or at least one organization." Jonathan Archer was confused. "I'm confused, please elaborate."
Daniels pushed some buttons on the monitor on Archer's desk. He turned the monitor 90 degrees. "Do you know this man?" Jonathan Archer looked at the image. "No, who is he?" "His name is not important right now; but he is responsible for preventing terrorist attacks after 9/11/01. Of course, he's not alone. He's a director at a government agency office known as CTU. Counter Terrorist Unit."

"And you want me to help him stop these attacks?" Jonathan wanted clarity. "Yes, Jonathan. With your approval, the Enterprise is to be tasked at doing everything in your crew's power to stop these attacks and save American lives. You can commandeer your old ship, or you can have Captain Hernandez-Archer to take command. It's your choice."

Just then his wife Erika enters the room. "Daniels, a pleasure it is see you...I think." Daniels nodded her way. "Captain. I was just telling the President of a new adventure taking place on Earth in the 21st Century." "Hm, sounds exciting." T'Pol, who followed Erika asked, "How long will this mission last?" "Indeterminate, at the moment, Madame Ambassador." "When do we begin?" Jonathan asked. "Today, if your crew is ready."

Jonathan Archer assembles his former crew members in the shuttlebay on Earth. "Okay, folks. It's good to see you all back. We have a new assignment. The location is Earth, early 21st Century. Our mission is stop any and all terrorist attacks in this nation's history. Our primary point of contact on the ground is this man. He's a very highly trained law enforcement officer. Hand-to-Hand combat, enhanced interrogation methods, the works. You MACOs would be wise to learn a few things from this man. His location is in the downtown district of Los Angeles at a highly secure facility known as CTU: Counter Terrorist Unit. All non-human personnel, like the doctor, will have to remain behind; but will coordinate any and all medical tasks as needed. Clear?"

Everybody nodded. "I, President Archer, will be taking the USS Washington as a primary command base. Captain Hernandez-Archer will be commanding the Enterprise. All orders will be given by her. MACOs, please begin your training regimens en route. Dismissed!"

T'Pol asked, "Sir, it is possible to for to disguise myself as we did before during the Temporal Cold War on Earth, with the other Vulcan officers." "Yes, T'Pol, that's right, I remember that. Proceed. And, as you'll be the second officer on the ground, although it is not customary for Vulcans: good luck!" Archer smiled. "Live long and prosper to you, Mr. President." She walked toward the entrance of the shuttle, "And Jonathan, it is very agreeable to see you again."

As the shuttles reached the bays on the Enterprise, Captain Hernandez-Archer gave the order, "Lt. Mayweather, set a course for the Sun. Maximum Impulse Thrusters." "Aye sir." "Polarize hull plating!" Malcolm Reed acknowledged, "Full power to shields, sir." To Engineering, "Mr. Tucker, watch those engines." "Got it, Captain. Ready when you are."

Erika looked ahead. "Engage." The Enterprise and the Washington went around the Earth's Sun and came out the other end safely.

Erika belted, "Report." Malcolm reported shields held. "Tucker to Bridge, impulse engines are down to 25%." "Begin repairs, Mr. Tucker, don't let me hold you up." "Aye, sir. Tucker out." "Sato, can you raise the Washington?" "I'll try now, sir." Looking at Earth, "Ain't it beautiful?" "No doubt, Captain," Mayweather responded. "Did we get to the right time?" Reed asked. Looking toward T'Pol, "Ambassador?" "Based on atmospheric densities and the satellites in orbit of Earth, my calculations confirm we are in the early 21st Century. October 1st, 2001 to be exact. Stardate: 55214.9

Sato annouced, "Captain, I'm getting hails from the President's ship." "Onscreen." The face of her husband appeared. "Enterprise, everyone all right?" Erika nodded. "Minimal damage to the ship, sir. Permission to begin landing procedures." Smiling, Jonathan replied. "It's good to see the ship in one piece. While you're down there, Captain, be advised there will be no ship-to-ground communication, so as not the spook our contact on the ground. Clear?" "Crystal clear, Mr. President." "You are green-lit to proceed. The doctor will have an open comlink imbedded in your temporary ground uniforms. You know how to use and when." "Affirmative, sir." "Team Enterprise: Good luck. Archer out!" The screen went blank. "Malcolm, Travis, you're with me. Ambassador, you will join when you're ready. Bridge to Engineering, Trip, meet us in the shuttlebay and put your best man in charge of Engineering while you are away." Trip acknowledges. "Sato, keep an open comlink and have constant surveillance." "Aye, sir." Erika gave her last order on board ship: "Let's go!"
