This was requested by Fer253 but I twisted it up a bit so it's different and such so I hope you enjoy it!
Ryder was running away from his mother who was chasing him. The ground was shaking and starting to break so Ryder got scared. He then started to slip and he fell but he caught the ledge of the cliff. His mother stood over him and she grabbed his hand. Ryder was starting to get scared but then his mother made him let go and she threw him off of the cliff making Ryder scream as he fell.
Ryder bolted up from the bed covered in sweat, his head pounding, his stomach cramping, and he has a stuffy nose. He started to shiver but that's when he realized that his alarm was going off so he turned it off knowing that probably woke him up. He then started to get ready for the day and once he was done, he will soon realize that he's wearing his vest but underneath it is his pajama top... Anyways, he went up the elevator to the main floor and he went to get the pup's breakfast ready not realizing that one of his pups could also be sick. "Ryder..." Rubble groaned as he went over to Ryder who was trying to process of making the pups breakfast. "What's wrong Ripple- I mean Rubble?" Ryder asked Rubble and Rubble replied with "I-i don't feel so good... Can you please check my temperature?" Ryder nodded and he did so. It turned out that infact Rubble does have a fever so that means Rubble is sick. Ryder then made Rubble laying down on the beanbag chair and he put a blanket over Rubble along with giving Rubble a bowl full of water. After he gave the other pups their breakfast, Chase noticed that Ryder looked off and it's not because of Ryder wearing his pj top instead of his normal white long sleeve shirt. "Hey Marshall? when you're done can you please check on Rubble? He's sick and I don't know what he h-has." Marshall nodded as he went back to eating.
Few minutes go by and Ryder wasn't feeling too good which concerned the pups (except Rubble who's sleeping) because Ryder brushed it off even when he either coughed or sneezed when he told the pups that he was fine. The pups got extra concerned about Ryder but they thought it was a little minor cold but oh boy they were wrong! Later that day, saying that Mayor Humdinger was causing trouble again which made it all paws on deck so while Alyssa (an oc of mine) stayed with Rubble. Ryder, Chase, Zuma, Rocky, and Skye went to go deal with it but since it was summer, it wasn't going to be so good for one person because fever and heat don't go well together. When they were all Done, Ryder noticed that Katie and Danny were struggling with some boxes that they're taking to the pet parlor so let the pups go back to the lookout while he goes help them. The pups were hesitant at first but Ryder told them that he would be fine and after he manages to convince them, the pups went back to the lookout. Ryder then went over to Katie and Danny and he asked them "D-do you need help?" "Yeah, It looks like us carrying three at once isn't a good idea!" Danny admitted and Ryder giggled so he grabbed the two boxes at the top of their stacks which are luckily light and the trio went to the pet parlor. When they were done and they all put the boxes in the main area in front of the desk. "I'll put the boxes away later, thanks for the help guys!" Katie told the boys and they replied with "You're welcome!" but Ryder stuttered a bit while saying that which Katie heard. "What are in these boxes anyways?" Danny asked and Katie replied with "Collars, Brushes, Shampoo, You know the normal pet stuff a pet needs. You know what, I'm actually curious on what you guys carried." Katie responded so the trio opened the boxes. Katie carried the Shampoo and dog treats (which she ordered from Mr. Porter so he probably put them in a box to send to her), Danny carried the canned food and fabric, and Ryder carried the collars and brushes. "Fabric? What for?" Danny asked Katie "That's because I'm working on some outfits that can fit animals so when they want to dress up then I can have just the right thing they want! Of course Alyssa is helping me." Katie explained but Danny smiled so he exclaimed "Oooooo!!! Your crush Alyssa is helping you~" Katie blushed so she threw a pillow at Danny. Danny laughed but then Katie noticed Ryder who was looking down at one of his boxes with a sick like expression. "Ryder, are you ok?" Katie asked Ryder which made Ryder perked up a bit and he nodded. Danny and Katie knew something was up so Danny went over to Ryder and he felt his forehead. If Ryder wasn't sick then he totally would be blushing because of how close Danny is to him but he was trying not to freak out. "Ryder, you have a fever. If you were sick then you could have stayed at the lookout!" Danny told Ryder as he put his hands on Ryder's shoulders.. Before Ryder could say anything he started to feel really light headed because one, the two were now standing up and two, he started to feel really exhausted. "Ryder? You ok?" Katie asked but before Ryder could say or do anything, he passed out and luckily Danny caught him so he technically passed out in Danny's arms which may seem embarrassed to Ryder, it's concerned to the others. "We should get him back to the lookout and have Marshall look over him." Katie explained and Danny nodded so he picked up Ryder Bridal style. Katie giggled while Danny blushed so he asked "What? Are you jealous?" "Jealous? Why would I be jealous if I'm giggling that you're carrying your crush~" Katie replied and Danny wished he could throw something at her but he can't so he managed to kick the pillow to Katie which got her in the face. Katie laughed while Danny smiled but then they realized on how do they get Ryder's ATV back to the lookout since it's in front of the City Hall. After they managed that and getting Ryder back to the lookout, the pups were luckily distracted so Katie walked the ATV to the garage while Danny took Ryder inside. He wasn't so lucky when he saw that Chase was inside the lookout chatting with Alyssa and Rubble so it was hard for Danny to explain what happened because they all literally saw Danny walk in with an unconscious Ryder in his arms. "Take him over here, I'll go grab the thermometer for humans after I ask Marhsall where it is." Alyssa told Danny and Danny nodded. He then put Ryder down on the beanbag chair that anyone is able to sleep comfortable in, he went to go help Alyssa but then he couldn't move because his arm was now being used as a plushy because Ryder was hugging his arm like a plushy. "Is Ryder ok?" Chase asked and Danny nodded while trying not to blush but Chase and Rubble noticed so Rubble replied with "So Ryder huh~" "I-i don't know what you're talking about! He's just a friend!" Danny admitted but Chase replied with "Sure Adrian Agreste, sure... Also try harder when you're trying to hide you blushing." Danny blushed because he felt embarrassed of what Chase just said.
When Alyssa came back, Marshall was with her so Marshall checked Ryder's fever which wasn't so good. "No wonder he's wearing his pajama top instead of a white long sleeve!" Chase and Rubble admitted. Danny then took off Ryder's vest because he can tell that it was probably making Ryder's fever not so good. Few minutes go by and now the whole paw patrol plus Katie and Alyssa were all inside all concerned about Ryder who was hugging Danny in his sleep so Danny was a blushing mess and everyone knew it. That's when Ryder started to wake up his head was hurting badly but hey at least he let go of Danny. When he looked towards the others he was confused on how he's back at the lookout and why was everyone staring at him with concerned and trying not to squeal over a ship looks. "Wh-what happened?" Ryder asked and Chase replied with "You passed out at Katie's Parlor so Danny had to carry you home while Katie walked your atv home which is now in the garage." Ryder started to blush but then he got into a coughing fit. "I'll go get some medicine." Katie admitted as she got up and went to get medicine for Ryder and Rubble. "So we're down two members... Zuma it's your turn!!!" Chase exclaimed and Zuma smiled. Rubble was so confused but Skye explained to Rubble that when Ryder is out of commission then it's one of the pups who has to be the leader and for each mission, they take turns until Ryder's able to lead again. Rubble nodded in understanding because he can tell when another member is out of commission, another member will lead when it's that member's turn.
Few hours go by and it's just Danny in the lookout with Rubble and Ryder. Alyssa and Katie went home and the pups are asleep in their pup houses but Danny stayed so he can help take care of Ryder and Rubble because two can be a hassle with just one pup *marshall* taking care of them. Danny was letting Ryder sleep against him while Ryder was covered in a blanket he was in his pajamas. Just then Ryder woke up feeling nauseous so Ryder ran to the bathroom. Danny was soon woken up to the sound of vomiting so Danny went to the bathroom and he knocked on the door. "Ryder you ok?" Danny asked through the closed door and Ryder just groaned because he didn't feel any better so he just said "The door's unlocked." so Danny opened the door. He then started to rub Ryder's back which always helped Danny whenever he was sick with the stomach flu. Once Danny was done, Danny wiped Ryder's face with a tissue and he threw it away. After flushing the toilet, Danny picked Ryder up and he helped Ryder back to the beanbag chair. Once Ryder was laying down, Danny put the blanket over Ryder and he layed down next to him. The two then fell asleep next to each other while they were hugging. It didn't help that the next day in the morning, the pups took a photo of the two on Danny's phone.
Boom! the ship has been revealed and if you don't like it then I'm sorry!!!! UwU Maybe I can write about their accidentally first kiss or when Ryder started to get strong feelings about Danny because earlier he had minor love feelings for the red head but that's because Danny was trying to impress someone without being himself. Let's just say the moment that Danny started being himself and he changed his look to who he wants to be, Ryder started to get strong feelings and he started to question his Sexuality. That's a whole story that idk if I'll be able to do unless someone request it~
