Ryder looked out the small window in the City Hall's basement. Him, Katie, Callie, Danny, the pups, Mr. Porter, Alex, Mayor Goodway, Chickaletta, Mr. Nibbles, Hailey Dailey, Cap'n Turbot, Franciou, and Wally all got stuck in the basement because of a huge storm that no one saw coming and it's too dangerous for them to leave with the strong wind and such. Luckily they have a lot of rations and such so they good and they brought two lap tops, one to help keep the pups and Alex entertained while the other is to watch the storm. Ryder continued to watch the storm outside and Mr. Porter asked Ryder "Is the rain keeping you entertained?" Ryder nodded. "Hey Everyone! I found an old box!!!" Cap'n Turbot exclaimed and everyone looked over to him as he brought the box over. Everyone soon surrounded the box and wondered what's inside of it, but their wondering ended when Mayor Goodway opened it and it was a bunch of old kid stuff. That's when Mayor Goodway remembered something so she got up and she brought two more boxes over and she opened them. "Ryder, Katie, do you remember these?" Mayor Goodway asked and the two shrugged but that's when he saw something in the box so he quickly took it out and he exclaimed as he took it out "I found him!!!" and it was a bunny plushy and Ryder immediately hugged it. "So that's where he went! I thought he was accidentally thrown out!!!" Katie admitted. Mr. Nibbles did his cat laugh and Alex asked "Who is the plushy?" "This is Bunnix, he was the last gift my dad gave me and I remember keeping him with me at all times even when I sleep. When I lost him I had a really hard time sleeping since I lost him the day I joined the Paw Patrol and it was a new place to me at the time but I soon learned to sleep without him." Ryder explained. "Awwww! That's sad! Also I like the stitching of a name on his stomach." Hailey admitted and Ryder told her "The name is actually my Father's name and stitching, that's what made Bunnix special." "That's adorable!!!" Skye admitted but then Mayor Goodway pulled out a few disks and they were old recordings of Ryder and Katie when they were younger. Ryder and Katie knew what they were so of course they had to watch them with the others so everyone gathered around the lap top for entertainment and Mayor Goodway popped in the first disk. "I remember you guys always stealing the camera and recording random things so this is what's kinda in this disk is along with the second one. The rest and most of the videos are just memories." Mayor Goodway told Katie and Ryder.
The camera started up and it was a young Katie holding the camera and she was running. "So, to who ever is watching this I made a new friend yesterday on his 3rd birthday and I'm going to wake him up!" Katie exclaimed as she ran into a room and she pointed the camera at a sleeping Ryder. She then ran to him, put the camera on the dresser and she jumped on the bed which woke up Ryder but he screamed a bit and he started to cry. "WAKEY WAKEY NEW FRIEND!!!!!" "P-pwease stwop k-k-kitty !!!" Ryder exclaimed as he cried and he hid his face from her because he was ready shy.
"I totally forgot about Ryder's lisp and stuttering problem." Katie admitted as everyone giggled.
Katie then grabbed the camera and she acted like a little kid to her parents on Christmas morning but Ryder was the same age as her and he followed her downstairs but she was faster than her. As the two made it down the stairs the camera turned back to Ryder which anyone can clearly see that he has scars on his face. "So to the people watching this, this is my new friend Ryder! He's really shy in public and he has a lisp along with stuttering a lot but he's really cool and amazing!!! Ryder, anything you wanna say?" Katie exclaimed and that's when Ryder hit the camera and the short clip ended.
Everyone started to laugh because of how funny it was and how the video. "Past Ryder was like nope to being filmed!!" Rocky exclaimed through laughs. "Did I grew out of that phase pretty quick tho?" Ryder asked Mr. Porter and Mr. Porter nodded. He then remembered a funny memory that was recorded and he knew it was gonna happen next but before he pressed play, he explained to everyone "This next one was when Ryder and Katie visited Farmer Yumi's farm and Mayor Goodway took them because she was a chaperone for Katie's preschool class. Ryder wasn't part of the class because he was still new to Adventure Bay and we didn't want to overwhelm him." then he pressed play.
The clip started in the car and the camera was pointed to Katie and Ryder who were in car seats and they were singing along but Katie was singing it the most because she's the more extroverted one out of the two of them.
"This proves who's the extrovert and who's the introvert." Chase admitted and it made everyone chuckled or giggled.
Just then the song 'You belong to me by Taylor swift' came on and Ryder started to join in on the singing but he was really quiet and it was obvious to hear that Mayor Goodway was trying not to laugh. The clip soon turned into when they got there and Mayor Goodway turned the camera to Ryder who was hugging her leg while trying to hide from the other kids. "What are we doing here Ryder?" Mayor Goodway asked Ryder and Ryder shrugged. "Is this your first time at a farm?" Mayor Goodway asked and Ryder nodded.
"The introvert everybody!" Marshall exclaimed and everyone laughed a bit.
The video played for a little bit throughout the day but then it came to the part of meeting the animals. Mayor Goodway nudged Ryder closer to a smaller Bettina and Ryder was nervous as Mayor Goodway stepped back a bit. Ryder then bowed and Bettina then bowed as well. Ryder then looked up and he walked slowly to Bettina, soon he started to pet Bettina and Bettina was happy. "Did he just did a Harry Potter reference?" Farmer Yumi asked and Mayor Goodway replied with "Yes he did."
That made everyone laugh.
The video played on and that's when they came across a black cat and Ryder quickly walked to it like he wanted to pet it. The cat arched it back and hissed but then it soon started to run so Ryder ran after it which means Mayor Goodway chased after Ryder. That's when Ryder tripped and fell and he started to cry. Mayor Goodway helped him up and that's when a dog walked over to Ryder and Mayor Goodway. That's when the dog sniffed Ryder's face and it licked it making Ryder giggled. The dog was an old dog and same goes for the cat.
"The dog and cat Farmer Yumi used to have didn't talk sadly and the cat was mean to any stranger. They were really old and the two had to be put down a month later but that dog in the video made me comfortable around any canines from that day forward and I legit cried when the dog and cat died even tho I rarely knew them." Ryder explained to everyone and Mayor Goodway confirmed it so the two high fived.
The video continued and when they were going to see the pigs, Ryder exclaimed to Mayor Goodway as he ran to the pig pen "Peppa! They have multiple Peppa's here!!" "I see that Ryder!" Mayor Goodway replied as she followed him.
"I forgot about that TV show!!!" Katie admitted while everyone was laughing or had their eyes lit up because of how cute it was.
The clip then showed Ryder getting on a box next to the pen and he just looked at the pigs. The clip then fast forward to Mayor Goodway having to pick up Ryder because the group was going to go to where they grow the corn and he wouldn't stop looking at the pigs.~Insert little timeskip because I'm lazy af~The clip was back into the car on the way back to the preschool and Katie was jamming out in the backseat in her car seat while Ryder was just knocked out in his carseat.
"How to tell that the extrovert gets energy from others while the introvert is knocked out." Marshall admitted and everyone giggled. "Oh! I know what this next video sequence is, so you know how I came out to you guys?" Mayor Goodway asked and everyone nodded. "Well, my girlfriend has a job where she gets deployed a lot and she rarely gets to visit because of work and everytime she visits now is when Ryder and you pups were busy so you never met each other but Ryder and Katie have when they were younger and I recorded it happening and it was like reunion of a child being reunited with their deployed parent because I told Ryder that I was dating her and he acted like she was his second godmother." Mayor Goodway explained as the clip played.
"So Ryder, are you excited to see Brittney? I'm excited for you to meet her!" Mayor Goodway told Ryder and Ryder exclaimed "Yeah!" "Did you make a poster for her as I was told that you did?" Mayor Goodway asked and Ryder nodded as he held up a poster that says 'Welcome Home Aunt Brittney' and it had glitter, star stickers, hearts, confetti drawn on it, a rainbow, rainbow stickers, and it also had Animal stickers. "I think she'll love it." Mayor Goodway told Ryder and Ryder just smiled. "Katie's going to come to city hall later today so she'll meet Brittney later before your guys's play date ok?" Mayor Goodway told Ryder and Ryder nodded as he looked out the window. When they got to the airport and they went inside, they got to the hallway where it takes them to where the gates are so they're able to meet up with the person at their gate that they're coming from. They found the gate and Ryder saw the moving sidewalks as they walked by them so when they got to the gate and when they're supposed to wait at the seats, Ryder ran with the poster in hand to the moving side walk that's just outside the gate and Mayor Goodway went to the other end of the moving sidewalk where it ends at and Ryder sat down on the moving Sidewalk and the moving sidewalk moved Ryder to the end of it. "You see the other people walking on the sidewalks? You should try that on the other side." Mayor Goodway told Ryder and he did so. It took a few gos to tired him out and the clip moved to the airplanes outside the window and one was pulling up to the gate.
"Is it bad that I'm tearing up already?" Rubble asked and everyone shook their heads no.
Ryder stayed next to Mayor Goodway who was holding the sign and when a woman with blondish brownish hair, dark brown eyes, and an army uniform walked up to them. Ryder ran to her and he hugged her because Mayor Goodway knew it was Brittney. Brittney picked up Ryder as he hugged her and she walked up to Mayor Goodway. "Well isn't this a nice surprise, is this Ryder that you told me about?" Brittney asked Mayor Goodway and Mayor Goodway replied with "Yep! He's usually shy but I think because I mentioned you as my girlfriend he thinks that you're also his God mother like me." "Well it's very nice to meet you Ryder! Aren't you a cinnamon roll." Brittney told Ryder and Ryder just smiled.That's when then clip ended!That's also when the power of the laptop ran out and it turned off. "Those were adorable!!!" Skye exclaimed and everyone agreed.
