This story was inspired by Zootopiafan's story called Vulnerable but it's going to have a few twists because my version of Ryder has two insecurities but they're kinda in the same category.
It was a dark and stormy day and the Paw Patrol were all stuck inside the lookout because it was too dangerous to go out because it was also hailing outside. This time instead of the main 6 plus Ryder it's main 6, Ryder, Ella, Tuck, Rex, Tracker, Everest, and WildCat along with Taylor, Carlos, and Jake. Katie was also with them with Calli so that means it was the WHOLE paw patrol plus a few of their friends. Ryder wasn't paying attention to the conversation because he was too busy looking out the window worrying about if a certain someone was going to be ok. Everyone noticed and Katie asked in a teasing way "You worried about your boy crush Ryder?" Ryder started to blush with embarrassment and he exclaimed "No I'm not!!!" Everyone including Ryder then started to giggle or laugh. That's when thunder boomed and it made everyone jump and they all immediately got into one big pile to protect each other but that's when they realized it was just thunder. "We all got scared because of thunder!?!" Chase exclaimed which broke the silence that only lasted a minute. That's when everyone started to giggle and Taylor then exclaimed "That kinda reminded me of a time when I felt insecured about something and all it took me to feel better was one big dino and Rex hug!" Rex nodded and then everyone except Ryder got an idea. Everyone (not Ryder) then exclaimed "Let's confess insecurities!!!" "What?" Ryder asked and then Katie told him "We should all confess what we all feel insecure about and why we do, it's like a small get to know your teammates and friends thing." Ryder then nodded slowly like he understood it but in a way he didn't want to do it. Everyone got the first message but they didn't get the second message so they all sat around in a big circle and Ryder wasn't ready to confess his insecurities. "Ok, who wants to go first?" Jake asked and Chase raised his paw. "Ok, so I feel insecure about letting my father down as the Police pup on the Paw Patrol. The reason is because, our parents were the first paw patrol ever but we don't know what happened to the original leader. As me, Marshall, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye grew up a bit together my dad trained all of us and I wanted to be like him and Mom who was the spy pup of the og patrol. Anyways, I always tried my best but even when My dad started to teach Ryder how to lead I always try to not mess up but in the back of my head I had a feeling like I was going to fail one day." Chase explained and Ryder gave him a hug. The other pups along with Taylor, Jake, Carlos, and Katie went and it turns out that Skye is insecure about her height, Rubble is insecure of being alone, Rocky is insecure of failing and drowning during a water mission, Marshall is insecure about his clumsiness, Zuma is insecure about his lisp problem, Ella and Tuck were both insecure about what their old owner finding them, Rex is insecure about his wheels getting stuck on something, Tracker is insecure about not being able to hear one day, Everest is insecure of being left out, WildCat is insecure about failing a stunt in front of an audience, Carlos is insecure about his birthmark on his head which would explain why he always wear his hat, Jake is insecure about the back of his hair which would explain why he always wear a beanie or a baseball cap, Taylor is insecure about failing of helping a dino, and Katie is insecure of loosing Callie to a wild predator. That's when everyone realized that it was Ryder's turn to tell them what he's insecure about. "Cmon Ryder, we said our stuff now it's your turn!" Carlos admitted. "Yeah! it can't be that bad!" Everest replied. Everyone then tried to convince Ryder and soon enough Ryder caved in and he then told everyone "I'm insecure about two things, my eyes and my scars." Everyone was confused on why he said those things but then Ryder took out a tissue and he wiped his face with it revealing his scar covered face. "I have a few more scars but I don't want to freak you all out because of how much I have which is why I never been seen shirtless. I rarely wear short sleeves because only little bit of my scars on my shoulders showed and I have a few scars on my arms but I hide them up with special makeup like the ones on my face. The reason I'm insecured about my eyes is because they're exactly same color as the person who gave me these scars. I'm not going to say who tho because I don't want to upset you all... I'm sorry!" Ryder explained and after he was finished explaining, everyone immediately hugged him and gave him one big group hug. That's when it all caved in on Ryder and he slightly started to cry and a few minutes go by and Ryder started to fall asleep and in surprise no one moved out of the group hug at all and everyone soon fell asleep in the hug pile but now the pups know that his markings were actually his scars.
