We all saw this coming!
"Ahhhh Valentines day, the day were all people find love, give out love, feel love, and sometimes the single pringles get self love so they won't be alone." Katie explained as she looked out the Parlor's window. The lookout was already decked out in Valentines day stuff so Ryder, Skye, Rocky, Ella, Rex, and Rubble were helping Katie out decorate the parlor along with helping the five pups get ready for the Valentines Day dance while the others (Chase, Zuma, Tuck, Tracker, Everest, WildCat, and Marshall with the help from Robo-Dog) were decorating town hall. The reason they did two groups is because this time Mayor Goodway didn't need that much help with setting up the decorations.
Anyways, Skye then asked everyone "So who's going to the V-Day dance with who? It can be as a friend or not. I'm going with Chase!" "I'm going with Zuma." Rocky admitted. "I'm going with Rex." Ella admitted as the two highpawed. "I'm going with Robo-Dog but as a friend tho." Rubble added. "I'm going with Alyssa!" Katie chimed in. That's when everyone looked at Ryder and he then admitted "I am planning to ask someone but recently I haven't gotten to because he wasn't alone or he was always busy or because I keep on blushing when I try to ask and I say something stupid." "He? Who's the lucky boy!" Rubble asked and Katie exclaimed "Danny~" Ryder's face immediately went red as the pups giggled. "Ummm- What are you talking about Katie? I-i don't have a crush on him or anything!" "We didn't say crush." Zuma admitted and Ryder's face went redder. "Ryder, He still hasn't had a date to the dance yet so it's still a good opportunity to ask him to the dance!!!" Rex admitted as he went over to Ryder. "I-i don't know, he's probably asking the person he likes to go to the dance with him." Ryder admitted but that's when the Parlor's door opened and it was Danny but it was like he was nervous for some reason. "I think I know the person." Katie whispered to Ryder in a teasing way and Ryder pretended to slap her. "Hi Danny! What's up?" Skye asked and Danny said "I-i need to talk to Ryder." "Ok!" Rubble admitted but that's when Danny replied with "Alone."
Ryder felt his face go red again and Katie then pushed the two outside so they can get their privacy. When the doors finally closed and the two were alone, it was an awkward moment between the two but Ryder spoke up and asked "Wh-what do you need to tell me Danny?" as his face went red. "Well uhhh..." Danny admitted but then he pulled out a flower from behind his back and he held it out to Ryder for him to take. Ryder was shocked but he also smiled as he gently took the flower and he looked at it. "Thank you for the flower, it's pretty!" Ryder admitted and Danny blushed a bit. "Well, I do have something to ask you." Danny admitted and Ryder asked as he looked up "Yeah? What is it?" "D-do you want to go to the dance with me?" Danny asked a bit quickly as he blushed even more. Ryder was a bit shocked but then he replied with "Y-yeah! I can go with you to the dance!" "Thanks! See you at 6 at the dance?" Danny asked and Ryder nodded.
When Danny left and Ryder went back inside with the flower still in his hand. Rocky, Skye, Rex, Ella, Rubble, and Katie were giving Ryder a teasing like look. Ryder then told them "So Katie was right about when she meant that he's going to ask me..." Katie smiled as she high-fived the pups. "Did you say yes?" Skye asked and Ryder nodded as he hid his red face behind the flower. "That means you also need to get ready for the dance!" Rex admitted and Ryder then admitted "Not yet, we still need to get you guys ready for the dance!" The five pups nodded and Katie giggled.
-Le Timeskip to 4pm-
The all of pups plus WildCat were helping Ryder decided on an outfit because Ryder doesn't know about the concept of WEARING YOUR NORMAL CLOTHES ISN'T ROMANTIC!!!!! Anyways, Skye pulled out a dress shirt and dress pants. "Where's a suit jacket and a pink with red hearts necktie that you have?" Chase asked Ryder and Ryder replied with "I don't know..." That's when Zuma found the tie but there was no suit jacket. "I totally forgot about that tie that Mayor Goodway forced me to wear one time." Ryder admitted and Chase chuckled. "Yeah! It was for last yeaw when we wewe all had to dwess nice because a mayow from a diffewent town was visiting and the woman was stwict about what boys and giwls had to weaw." Zuma admitted and Rocky then added "She was mean!" "And I hid for that day." Rubble admitted. The other pups (Everest, Tracker, Ella, Tuck, and Rex) and WildCat were shocked to hear this. "I. Hate. Ties..." Ryder admitted as he looked at the tie. "Hmmmm... I think I have the perfect outfit for Ryder!" Rocky admitted as he ran out Ryder's bedroom which they were all in.
Rocky soon came but with a Pink button up sweater, a white long sleeve shirt with a red heart on it, dark red jeans, and light pink socks with red hearts on it. "It's perfect Rocky!" The animals of the paw patrol exclaimed and Ryder held up the outfit and smiled. "Now this I can do!" Ryder admitted as he compared the size of the sweater to himself so he knows that it fits. The pups (plus WildCat) soon left Ryder alone in the room so they can all go get ready a bit early for the dance. Ryder soon got ready and when he was done he realized that something was missing. He looked at the flower, back at himself, and then at the flower an idea popped in his head.
-When it was time for the dance-
Danny got to the dance (while wearing a red suit, white shoes, white dress shirt, and a pink tie) on time just as it started like everyone else. His eyes lit up as he saw the outside decorations where the party was being held at. The tables had some foods on it, decorations on there, Ballons hung up with streamers, a heart pedal walkway to the dance floor, speakers at the top of the pillars of the front of City Hall like a stage. Pink and red lights were hung all around along with heart streamers, plus there was a banner at each of the entrances that says
"Welcome to the Valentines Day dance!"
Danny's eyes lit up at the decorations and he couldn't believe he was here at the dance. He then saw all friendships along with couples and single pringles at the dance and he was excited. Just then he saw the pups (plus WildCat) run from behind him excited and that's when he realized that he was here. "Danny?" a voice asked from behind him.
Danny turned around and he saw Ryder wearing his normal white shoes, pink socks with red hearts on it, a white shirt underneath a pink button up sweater, and dark red jeans. He then noticed Ryder wearing the flower Danny gave him in his hair in a stylish cute way. Danny couldn't help but blush and Ryder blushed as well. "You look lovely tonight Ryder." Danny admitted as he walked over to the brown spiked hair boy. "You too Danny! you look amazing!" Ryder admitted while trying not to blush too hard. The two then chuckled and they smiled. "Wanna head to the others? Alyssa and Katie are here." Danny asked Ryder and Ryder nodded.
After talking to a few of their friends and hanging out while grabbing 1 sugar cookie each at the snack bar. They were sitting on a bench but just then a slow dance song came on and Danny got a good idea. Ryder can tell what it was but then Danny grabbed Ryder's wrist and he pulled him to the dance floor. Ryder didn't know what to do but Danny put his hands on Ryder's waist and Ryder wrapped his arms around Ryder's neck. The two then started to slow dance and they didn't pay attention to anyone else but they made sure that they stayed on the dance floor and danced to the music.
Everyone around them including the paw patrol were shocked that these two know how to dance. They all thought the two were terrible at slow dancing and that's why they didn't dance earlier but everyone watched the pair danced like they know how to do it. Everyone then knew that the two were perfect for slow dancing while the paw patrol, Jake, Katie, Alyssa, Ace, and Carlos all thought that the two were perfect for each other.
When the music stopped and the two stopped dancing, the two boys realized that they were surrounded by everyone at the dance. The two didn't know what to do but that's when everyone started to cheer and clap as the two slightly blushed from embarrassment. The two then bowed but they didn't know that they were holding each other's hands like their bound can never be broken. After that, the non slow dance music came back on and everyone started to go back to what they were doing. Ryder and Danny went to a bench to sit down and talk about stuff.
As the two talked, they started to talk about what the other missed and what experience that they went on. Danny then told something funny to Ryder and Ryder laughed a bit as he smiled making Danny slightly blush. What the two didn't know is that the main 6 pups (plus Robo-Dog) were watching the two's conservation. "You know, those two are perfect for each other." Skye admitted and the rest agreed. "Yeah, and it's obvious that they like like each other and Danny asked Ryder to come to the dance and Ryder said yes! It's signs that they both have a crush on each other plus, Ryder is wearing Danny's flower in his hair." Rocky explained and Zuma exclaimed but not too loud "Danny gave him that flowew!?! I thought Wyder just picked it up while thinking about Danny!" The pups giggled. "Well, if they become a couple after this then I'm calling it now!" Marshall admitted but the other pups facepawed. "It'll take time for them to become a couple and we just have to let it go with the flow." Chase explained and that's when Rubble asked "So who wants to go ask Ryder if we should all including Danny go into the photo booth?" The pups went silent and they waited a few minutes before going up to Ryder to ask him if they can do the photo booth.
After the dance, Ryder and Danny had time to themselves for a bit as they walked to the lookout since they all walked to the dance. The pups (plus WildCat) were way ahead of the two so they can have their privacy in a way. "I had fun tonight!" Danny admitted and Ryder nodded. "I can now imagine people the next day talking about how we danced together to a slow dance." Ryder admitted and the two giggled/chuckled. "You know, maybe we can just hangout one day if your free just the two of us." Danny admitted and Ryder blushed a bit and then he asked "L-like a date?" "I- uhhh- Kinda but just a normal hangout!" Danny admitted as he blushed a bit as well. "I'll let you know when I'm free ok?" Ryder admitted and Danny nodded. "I also noticed that you have the flower that I gave you in your hair still." Danny told Ryder and Ryder replied with "Yeah, when I tried on the outfit I realized that something was missing and when I looked at the flower I got an Idea. I also did something so it won't wilt and I could keep wearing it like this and a different way along with keeping it in a safe place." "Wait, you like the flower?" Danny asked and Ryder nodded "I never gotten a flower from someone before and this one is special to me in a way." Ryder admitted and the two blushed slightly. When they reached the lookout, the two said their good-byes but then Danny held Ryder's chin a bit and he quickly kissed Ryder. Ryder blushed and then Danny had to leave quickly so the two waved good-bye and Ryder then went inside.
As Ryder came inside, he saw the paw patrol (saying this because I'm tired of typing pups WildCat and Robo-Dog) sitting down *Standing up in Rex's case* with their tails wagging with excitement. Jake and Carlos were spending the night at Jake's cabin and they're letting the pups spend the night at the lookout which is why the two weren't there and Taylor was at the lighthouse with her family. Anyways, Ryder asked the pups "What's up? Why are you all like this?" "You know the doors are kinda see through in a way right?" Ella asked and Ryder nodded but that's when Ryder blushed and he asked "D-did you guys see Danny..." and they all nodded. "We saw Danny kiss you!" WildCat admitted and Ryder's face went red. Everyone giggled but that's when Rubble and Tracker sang in a way "Ryder likes Danny! Ryder likes Danny!" Ryder felt so embarrassed.
The next day, Ryder woke up and he realized that he forgot to change into pajamas but he didn't care because he didn't sleep in his shoes. Anyways, as he got up he looked in the mirror and he saw the flower Danny gave him still in his hair. Ryder also then remembered the pictures from the photo booth in one of the corners of the mirror because he remembered putting it there but Ryder put all focused on the flower. Ryder couldn't help but smile and blush but that's when Ryder realized something and he told himself "I just slow danced with Danny in front of all of Adventure Bay..." Ryder's face then went red as he remembered the moment of dancing with Danny and how they held hands together afterwards.
