This is why the paws never watch horror movies ever again with Ryder or scare him from behind
It was a dark and stormy night and the 5 pups in the lookout decided to watch horror movies since they know they can handle it along with telling scary stories. Rubble however was staying on the top floor of the lookout because he didn't want to join the others in the horror stuff also he couldn't handle it. Ryder however stayed with the pups doing the horror stuff even tho he disagree on doing the horror stuff, he didn't want them to think that he's not as brave as he seem to be. Anyways, when they were done watching the movies the pups were not scared at all but Ryder kinda was but he managed to act like he handled it pretty well. That's when it was time for the scary stories and Skye decided to read them a book that Katie gave her on her birthday since Skye was old enough to handle scary stuff and Skye loves reading horror novels. Anyways, Skye then read in her book "'The group couldn't help but think that they were all being watched and as soon as they took shelter in some caves and thought they were safe... Some shadow started to creep over to the group and as the group turned around they saw the bloodpath murderer right behind them! They all let out a scream of fear as the murderer grabbed Anna and stabbed her right in the head. The group started to run again but before they knew it and looked in front of them, the murderer's friends came out and attacked the group killing them all off one by one till they were lifeless husks courpse that were only discovered by a group of kids the next day. They tried calling their parents with their backs turned to the bodies thinking that they were safe, the kids then turned around and saw the ghost of the bodies and before the kids knew it the ghosts scared them and started to possess them now out for revenge on everyone! No one knows where they are now but beware, you may think you're safe for now but there may be something behind you right now...'" That's when thunder boomed really loudly and Ryder and the boys screamed a bit in fear because they saw a shadow on the wall that was being casted by the lighting and flashlight. "SKYE GHOST BEHIND YOU!!!!!" Ryder exclaimed as he held the pups in his arms. "Are you sure that it's not the coat rack with Ryder's still soaking wet jacket hanging on it?" Skye asked and the boys turned around to see the coat rack was casting the shadow. The boys all laughed and Ryder slightly did but he didn't laugh fully because of how much it scared him. "I think we should head to be-" Chase admitted and Ryder quickly exclaimed "I'll go check on Rubble and tell him that it's time for bed." The pups were confused but they didn't stop Ryder. After Ryder came back with Rubble, the pups were gone but then they all tipped toed behind Ryder which Rubble saw but said nothing of and the pups exclaimed "Boo!" which made Ryder jump and scream a bit. The pups giggled a bit and Ryder sighed in relief that the pups were ok. "Sorry for scaring you Ryder! We thought it would be funny." Skye admitted and Ryder replied with "It's ok Skye! It was kinda funny but you guys should sleep in the lobby tonight just to be safe." Ryder hated lying about thinking the jumpscare was funny but he did what he had to do.
When the pups fell asleep and when Ryder was now in his room alone. Ryder couldn't fall asleep because he was getting a bit paranoid from the movies and stories. Ryder kept telling himself in his head that ghosts don't exist over and over again. That's when he saw a shadow figure for a moment and then when lightning struck which made the figure disappear. It freaked Ryder out a bit and he then told himself "It was probably just the trees..." then he added in a kinda scared tone "But trees can't make a human like figure." Before Ryder could possibly think of anything else on what it can be, Ryder heard stuff being moved around outside of his room so Ryder went to go investigate. As he walked in the hallways with a flashlight in his hand, he knew the pups were inside the lobby area asleep so it couldn't be them. That's when Ryder saw a jar in the kitchen falling and shattering onto the floor. Ryder also saw a shadowy figure go by very quickly so Ryder immediately ran back to his room and he closed the door shut with his back up against the door really tight like he's keeping it close. When Ryder thought it was safe, Ryder immediately went to his bed, grabbed his pup pad, went underneath the blanket, and he called Katie who was not happy being woken up for. "Ryder... Why did you call me? It's literally almost midnight. Shouldn't you be asleep?" Katie asked Ryder and Ryder told Katie what just happened. "Ryder, it could be one of the pups who don't want you to know that they're awake. Go to sleep." Katie explained but Ryder then replied with "But none of them have their pup packs on and they couldn't fly like a ghost also they don't have a human shadow figu-" That's when Ryder realized that Katie hung up on him. "Wow, thanks for the pep talk Katie..." Ryder said in sarcasm but that's when he heard a ghosty sound and a bit of movement. Lightning and Thunder then struck a few times which made everything worse and even more spooky. Ryder managed to fall back asleep but woke up an hour later because of his alarm. Ryder turned it off and he realized that it was day time because of the sun that's shining through his really small window at the top of his wall which is hard to reach on your own. Ryder was glad that he survived the night and that he was alive, but it wasn't so great for him because this "haunting" lasted for a few days and Ryder couldn't call anyone because he felt embarrassed about it.
As the days went on, Ryder grew more and more tired from the all-nighters he's been pulling from the haunting but each day Robo-Dog comes to him somehow with a new scratch or Robo-Damage to him that Ryder had to fixed. Other people in Adventure Bay including the pups started to notice how tired Ryder has been looking and acting lately to the point they're concerned. Danny then got the idea to ask Ryder what was wrong with him, so when the pups were away so the two can be alone Danny made his way over to the garage that was open. When he got up close, he saw a really tired Ryder fixing up a damaged Robo-Dog but Ryder looked like he was struggling to stay awake. "You ok Ry-" Danny asked Ryder as he put his hand on Ryder shoulder but Ryder was about to fall asleep. When Danny put his hand on Ryder's shoulder, it scared him so he quick got away from Danny's grasp and he got into a fight stance. Danny was shocked because of how fast Ryder moved but when Ryder realized that it was Danny, he lowered his guard down and he sighed in relief. "Daring Danny X, you scared me." Ryder told Danny as he went back to fix Robo-Dog, but then Danny stopped him. "Ryder, you look extremely tired. Take a break ok? You need to re-" Danny told Ryder but Ryder cut him off by saying "I can't take a break and I'm not going to take a nap. I don't want anything bad to happen and if I'm sleeping then something bad could happen to you, the pups, everyone, or myself!"

"Ryder, I may be reckless and all but you need to rest! Even I get rest after stunts and such. You. Need. Rest." Danny told Ryder and Ryder shook his head no. "Ryder, what's making you not sleep? You can tell me because it's just us, the pups are away from the lookout." Danny told Ryder and Ryder hesitated at first but then he told Danny what he has been experiencing recently about some ghost and he took Danny inside to show the evidence because Danny didn't believe it at first. Once they were in Ryder's room, they were both sitting on the bed and Danny was comforting Ryder like how friends comfort each other. "Why didn't you tell the pups?" Danny asked Ryder and Ryder looked away a bit and he replied with "Because... They would think I'm crazy and think I'm delusional or something like that. They may think I'm weird or not brave at all, those scary movies that me, Marshall, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye saw along with the story Skye told made me reconsider that ghosts don't exist and that they may exist instead." Ryder explained remembering the movies and the story. Danny payed attention and he started to think what Ryder could possibly saw but then Danny thought of something. "Wait, so in the morning when the pups and Robo-Dog wake up, Robo-Dog is in a new place in the lookout everytime right?" Danny asked Ryder. Ryder nodded and Danny then asked "And he has a new dent or broken part on him right? Along with how you added a new update so he can feel more like a pup right?" "Yeah, I have to fix him almost everyday since the horror stuff and a few days before that I gave him an update so he doesn't need to turn off everytime he needs to sleep." Ryder explained to Danny. Then it hit Ryder like a truck. "Do you think that Robo-Dog could be the mysterious ghost?" Ryder asked and Danny replied with "Possibly and if so then that's extremely weird but wouldn't extremely explain how the ghost could fly, Robo-Dog's "injuries", you both being tired, Robo-Dog looking worn out like he doesn't want to exercise, and how you told me that you both wind up awake a bit extremely early than the pups." "But what about the human figure?" Ryder asked and then Danny told him "Remember the sleepover you had when it was super stormy to go home so me, Katie, Jake, Carlos, Taylor, and the paw patrol pups plus WildCat stayed in the lobby of the lookout. I accidentally left my blanket here and you told me that you couldn't find it at all." "Yeah- Ok, I think I figured it out on where it went but that means I'm going to have to take it off of Robo-Dog." Ryder admitted and Danny giggled at Ryder's expression.
When it was late at night, Ryder let Danny spend the night and as soon as they heard the sounds of the "ghost", they immediately left the room to see it in front of the door but Ryder being the tired boy didn't expected that so he jumped a bit and he fell on his butt but it also made him slip on a baseball bat Ryder had in the room which hit the wall hard but it woke up Robo-Dog so he stopped flying as Danny took the blanket off of him. Robo-Dog went over to Ryder and immediately licked his face which made Ryder giggled. "Thank goodness it's you Robo-Dog and not an actual ghost! Also thank you Danny." Ryder admitted. Danny was about to correct him but he best decided not to and Danny instead said while impersonating Ryder's voice "No problem, whenever you're in trouble just yelp for help!" The two boys giggled and Robo-Dog was soon put back to his sleeping area before the two boys went back in Ryder's room. Let's just say in the morning both Ryder and Robo-Dog got to sleep in and Danny got to spend a day with the paw patrol pups.
