Sorry Mattwurm99 but idk if I can do your topic for some reason I feel a bit uncomfortable. I hope you understand but I hope you enjoy this topic which is also inspired by "Helping Paws" fanfiction about Sunburns and in this one we also learn about something in Ryder's past
The paw patrol were enjoying their day on the beach that's near the lookout, the docks, and the town (the one we see in the s1 intro and it's not Adventure Beach, it's the small one) since they didn't get any calls yet. Ryder started to feel a bit warm on his skin but a bit cold as if he got something that he hasn't got in a long time that he doesn't remember getting. Anyways, the paw patrol all saw Alex running over to them and Alex hid behind Ryder as Mr. Porter came over. "Let me guess, Alex is scared of something?" Ryder asked Mr. Porter and he nodded. It turns out that Alex got a sunburn on his face and it needs to be treated with Aloe. So, the paw patrol had to help convince Alex to do it and it took almost an hour and it soon work. "Thanks Paw Patrol but speaking of sunburns." Mr. Porter told them and then Alex, Mr. Porter, and the pups all looked at Ryder who was confused but it hit him that he's the one who also got a sunburn. "So that's what I got! I thought it was something else!!" Ryder admitted and everyone laughed. "Cmon, let's get you both some aloe to put on." Mr. Porter told the two and the two boys plus the pups followed Mr. Porter to his restaurant where he sat the two down on some chairs. Once he came back with the aloe he put some on Alex but then he asked Ryder once he was done "Do you want me to put this on your or do you want to do it on your own?" "Can you do it please? I think this is the first sunburn that I got..." Ryder told Mr. Porter and Mr. Porter nodded and he put the aloe on Ryder which Ryder did coil back a few times but he soon didn't so Mr. Porter can put it on. When he was done he then told Ryder "This actually isn't your first sunburn." "Really?" Alex asked and Mr. Porter nodded. "Can you tell us please? I love the stories that you guys tell about Ryder when he was little!" Rocky explained and now Mr. Porter got everyone's attention. He soon chuckled and he then started to tell them the story.
-flash back-
A 3yr old Ryder and Katie were all currently playing on the very beach Ryder and the pups play on in the future. Ryder was a bit nervous tho because this was his first time and he doesn't know how to swim yet. Katie however knew how to swim and she was already swimming in the water as Ryder watched. Mr. Porter however was in the water but to his ankles as he was trying to convince Ryder that the water was ok and he's not going to die but Ryder wasn't going to have it. "C'mon Ryder, it's ok! The water is safe!" Mr. Porter told Ryder but Ryder shook his head no. "Look, Katie is swimming and she's ok! I can hold you in the water and if you want to then I can teach you how to swim." Mr. Porter explained to Ryder and Ryder shrugged. Ryder then saw how much fun Katie was having and he then made his way to Mr. Porter and once he was there Mr. Porter picked him up and he took him to where Katie was and the two spent almost two hours to teach Ryder how to swim.
Once Ryder was swimming, Katie and Ryder swam around where they can touch and while Mr. Porter watched them in the shade of the umbrella. It took awhile for them to get tried and when they went back to Mr. Porter, he saw that's Ryder's face and shoulders were covered in sunburns. "Ryder are you ok?!" Mr. Porter asked Ryder as he put his hands on Ryder's shoulders but that was a mistake because Ryder felt the pain from the burns and he started to cry. Mr. Porter started to panic but then he grabbed two ice packs and he put them on Ryder's shoulders as he took Ryder to the shade. Once Ryder stopped crying Mr. Porter put aloe on his burns whilst thinking of what just happened was a nightmare.

"So now that's stuck in my memory but while Ryder was distracted I put the aloe on him." Mr. Porter told Alex and the Paw Patrol who were all trying not to laugh. "I wish I remembered that now!!!" Ryder admitted as they all started to laugh.
