I can't do your topic FireStorm21, I just feel really uncomfortable doing it also Mattwurm99 you can suggest another topic if you want to tho! This one is inspired by "The pups and a snake bite" which is made by the lovely Month4. But of course it's going to be a bit different from this one because Ryder didn't get bitten in his room nor it was caused on purpose.
It was a normal peaceful day in Adventure Bay but Ryder wasn't with the pups at the lookout. He was currently at the forest just walking around and he was just hanging out with some forest animals. He really enjoyed being out in nature and with the forest wildlife since it helps calm him down after a long day or the previous day was pretty stressful and he was still feeling the effect of it the next day. Anyways, he was just walking around and he noticed a little fawn in trouble so Ryder immediately ran to the fawn that was stuck in a hole but he was able to reach it while it's mama was watching him just to make sure her fawn was safe. When Ryder got the fawn out he gave it some berries to help calm it down and the fawn immediately ate it and then it returned back to it's mom and the two pranced away. Ryder couldn't help but smile since it's always wholesome to see a kid or baby reunite with their parents. That's when Ryder started to feel a bit sad since he doesn't really have parents to go back to at all unless you count Godparents but he doesn't have biological parents since his mother hated him and luckily his dad didn't hated him but his dad was in a coma at the hospital. He then looked around at all of the forest animals and he saw many mothers with their children and sometimes a mother, father, and their child together. He started to feel upset and he just learned against a tree, slid down it, and he just started to cry. He knew he had a father to go back to when his dad wakes up but he didn't have a mother to go back to and he knew it would never happen. That's when a strange wolf that heard Ryder went over to him and it nudged his hand like it wants to help calm him down. Ryder looks up and he saw the wolf and he jumped a bit like the wolf startled him but the wolf didn't hurt him or anything. Ryder didn't know what to do but the wolf then put it's head underneath Ryder's hand and Ryder of course petted the wolf. He couldn't believe that a wolf that looked like who wanted to eat him actually wanted pets from him. Ryder was so confused on why the wolf was doing this but it turns out that the wolf understood Ryder but Ryder didn't know that. When Ryder was calmed down he got up from the ground and he told the wolf "Thanks Buddy! I really needed the comfort." the wolf barked twice and it wagged it's tail. "What's your name?" Ryder asked the wolf and the wolf grabbed a stick and it wrote in the nearby sand Buddy and when Ryder wrote it, he couldn't believe that he got the wolf's name right but then Buddy wrote in the sand I'm also a male which Ryder understood. "Well I'm Ryder! It's nice to meet you Buddy!" Ryder told Buddy and he just barked as he wagged his tail. "Do you have a family to go back to?" Ryder asked and Buddy shook his head no. "Well it's ok! I can come visit you whenever I'm free. Ok?" Ryder told Buddy and Buddy jumped while he barked. Ryder giggled and the two then walked around together in the forest and they were in a bit deep but neither of them cared. Buddy looked at Ryder and he couldn't help but think he found someone he needs to help protect because Ryder's scent was both Human and Ultima but Ryder had no idea that he was half human half Ultima. So, Buddy knew he couldn't just stay in the forest with no family but he was a wolf and wolves belong in the wild but Buddy wanted to live with humans and other civilians and to help them out by making them happy.
(A/N: Buddy is a wolf pup but since in my au all animals age like humans, Buddy's 10yrs old plus Buddy is a white wolf with royal blue eyes)
The duo then continued to walk around in the forest for a bit but then they started to hear a hissing sound. "You hear that Buddy?" Ryder asked Buddy and Buddy nodded. The two then looked around for a bit but then a big snake jumped and Ryder immediately blocked Buddy but it ended with Ryder getting bitten in the arm. Both then snake and Ryder fell to the ground and Ryder screamed in pain. The snake went to bite Ryder again but Buddy head butted the snake away from Ryder and the two fought while Ryder pressed the button to call the pups but the only thing he could say before passing out was "Pups help! A snake bit me but a wolf named Buddy is protecting me but I don't know how long he could handle the snake! Please... Hurry..." Before Ryder knew it everything went black.
-With the pups-
When the pups got the call on their pup tags they all immediately ran to the elevator and this time no one crashed into each other because they were all Lazer focused on helping Ryder. When they got to the control room, Marshall took charge and he explained to the pups "So we all know that Ryder was bitten by a wild snake and a wolf named Buddy is protecting him from it but we don't know for how long tho. So for this mission I'll need Chase, you can use your net to capture the snake but if it were to get out then you're going to need to use your tennis ball cannon or drone to distract and get it away from the two." "Super Spy Chase is on the case!" Chase exclaimed. "Skye, I'm gonna need you to locate where they are and to possibly locate a safe place to put the snake in." Marshall told Skye. "This puppy gotta fly!" Skye exclaimed. "I'm going to have to give both Ryder and Buddy a check up and see if they're both ok. The rest of you are backup so be ready in case we need you." Mayor explained and everything howled. "Alright! Paw Patrol is on a roll!!!" Marshall exclaimed as he ran to the slide and was followed by Chase and Skye.
-Back with Ryder and Buddy-
Buddy was trying his best to protect Ryder from the snake. Buddy was in front of Ryder in a protective pose that wolves normally do to protect their pups but since Buddy didn't have a family, he was doing what wolves do so he can protect Ryder from the snake. The snake was really tough and it got Buddy down on his paws next to Ryder so Buddy gave up ready to get bitten but then he heard a helicopter and two sirens. That's when he saw a drone circling around the snake making it dizzy and confused but then the snake chased it but then the snake was attack by tennis balls and soon the snake plus the tennis balls were caught in a net. That's when a German Shepard in a police cruiser plus a Dalmation in an ambulance came in view and Dalmation ran over to the human and himself while the German Shepard attached the net to a hanging hook that was on the helicopter and soon the snake flew away to a safe location. Buddy trusted the Dalmation to get close to Ryder because he can trust him for some reason and both the German Shepard and Dalmation looked really nice. "How is he Marshall?" the German Shepard asked the Dalmation who was looking over Ryder. "His bite isn't good Chase but I have some anti-bite venom in my ambulance." Marshall explained as he ran back to his ambulance. He soon came back with the anti-venom and Marshall rubbed rubbing alcohol on the bite and soon Marshall injected it into Ryder. Marshall then checked over Buddy and surprisingly Buddy only had a sprain paw. So, Marshall used some bandages to bandage up Buddy's sprain paw and both Marshall and Chase went to go take Ryder into the ambulance but Buddy didn't want to leave Ryder alone and he stick close to him which the two pups noticed. "You have to stay here in the forest." Chase told Buddy to which Buddy whimpered. "Do you have a family?" Marshall asked and Buddy shook his head no which both the pups can tell that Buddy doesn't have anywhere to go so Chase told Buddy "Ok, hop into my police cruiser. We'll take you to the lookout." Buddy was extremely happy and he followed Chase into his police cruiser while Marshall put Ryder into the ambulance in the back seat and before they all knew it they were all on their way back to the lookout.
When they got back, Marshall continued to look over Ryder's bite in the lobby as Ryder was laying down on the beanbag chair with Buddy next to Ryder. The pups were all surprisingly not going to question it because they can tell that Buddy doesn't want to be separated from Ryder as if Buddy was separated by his family before the worst happened. When Ryder woke up, Rocky asked Ryder "How you feeling Ryder?" "My arm really hurts, what happened?" Ryder replied and Marshall looked over Ryder's arm where the bite was on and Chase told Ryder what happened. When Chase was done Ryder exclaimed "Thank you guys so much! You're all such good pups." Buddy looked at Ryder with the puppy dog and Ryder giggled. "Does this mean we got a new member and he's a wolf pup?" Rubble asked and all of the pups gave Ryder the puppy dog eyes. "You guys don't need to give me those. After what he did to protect me from the snake I think he's fitted to join the team!" Ryder replied and all of the pups exclaimed "Backup Pup!!!" Everyone then giggled and soon the pups and Buddy howled with Ryder joining in.
How many of you guys like this cinnamon roll named Buddy? He's my first pup oc and he's going to make a few appearances in these stories too!!! As you can read he can't talk but he loves to get pets, cuddles, snuggles, and to be a pup plus he wouldn't hurt a fly unless they hurt someone he cares about.
