Everyone who don't know Ryder personally will say that he's a boy, even the pups say this even tho they know Ryder alot ever since he got them. Those who know Ryder personally tho will know that he wasn't born a boy but they supported Ryder for being himself. Everyone except his parents. Ryder remember the day he came out to them when he was little and that was the day they hurted him even more than before. His father's pitch black hair and icey blue eyes always stook out to Ryder in his memories along with his mother's forest green hair and royal blue eyes. Ryder was lucky that he didn't get his looks from his parents but from his accepting Grandparents. Anyways, Ryder always thought he could keep a secret that he was born a different gender than what he looks like from the pups but boy he was wrong...
(In this AU Ryder's parents names are Audrey and Hector, if this was in my au ofc Ryu is supportive but Ryu sadly doesn't exist in this au. Also I ofc added some of my ocs in it, not all.)
It all started on a peaceful day in Adventure Bay and Ryder was hanging out with Katie and Alyssa in Katie's pet parlor but the pups were at the lookout playing in the front yard. As they were playing a black car pulled up in the lookout's driveway a couple got out of it which the pups notice. "She's got to be here, we've been looking for that brat all day ever and days before ever since she turned 7yrs old and ran away from us." The woman told her husband and the two talked a bit. "Excuse me? Who are you two?" Chase asked the couple who overheard him and they went over to the pups. "I'm Audrey Zachary and this is my husband Hector Zachary. We're looking for our daughter Riley Zachary who is currently ten years old with brown hair, brown eyes, and peachy skin. She believes that she's a different gender but she's supposed to be the gender she was born to be as." The woman explained to the pups but as soon as she said the last part, the pups immediately hated her. "We don't know a Riley Zachary ma'am, sorry!" Skye told Audrey whilr trying her best not to sound like she may kill this woman. "Honey, they may know her by a name that she would wabt to be called by." Hector told his wife who replied with "Oh yeah! What was it again? Ryker? Ranger? Ringo?" "I think it's... *shudders* that weird name..." Hector admitted which made Audrey shuddered as well. "Why are they being jerk holes to their child?" Rubble whispered to which the pups were shocked that Rubble said "jerk hole" but they didn't say anything about his language because they actually agreed with him. "I don't know Rubble but whoever their child is, we must protect them from their parents." Chase whispered back to which the pups nodded. "Aha! I know what is now!! Ryder!" Audrey exclaimed which shocked the pups but it didn't last long because it couldn't possibly be their Ryder. "Do you mutts know a... Ryder... Zachary?" Hector asked and the pups shook their heads no but that's when they heard a familiar atv engine pulling up to the garage. Before anything could happen, Ryder ran up to the pups with his helmet on without noticing the couple. "Hey Pups! What are you guys do-" Ryder asked but he didn't finish because he saw the couple looking at him confused but Ryder just angrily glared at them. "Uhhhh... Hello there, are you the owner to these pups?" Audrey asked and Ryder replied with "Yeah? So? If you have a problem with them then leave because no one messes with my pups." The pups's jaws all dropped because of Ryder's sass at the lady to which the lady huffed at. "Ok, don't talk to my wife like that ok? Also take off your helmet when talking like this, people will think you're a weirdo." Hector told Ryder to which Ryder groaned and he took off his helmet which shocked the couple. "Riley? Is that you?! What have you done to your hair and your whole appearance young lady!?!" Audrey exclaimed and the pups were shocked that the Ryder the couple meant was their Ryder. "1, I'm not a girl anymore mom. 2, it's Ryder. And 3, I changed myself to who I want to be! Not someone who isn't being themselves and happy. I'm much happier here and away from you guys so just go away ok?!" Ryder exclaimed at his mother. The pups had never heard Ryder so angry before at all but they understood why. "Riley, get over here right now." Hector told Ryder to which Ryder disobeyed. "Nope! You're not the boss of me." Ryder replied which made the couple pissed. The three then started to argue and argue until the couple finally left leaving Ryder in tears. "Wyder? You ok?" Zuma asked Ryder to which he nodded. "I was hoping you pups would never find ou-" Ryder admitted but Chase exclaimed "Those two are a*holes!!!" "Chase!!! Also, true!!!" Ryder exclaimed making the pups all laugh including Ryder. "One true and two... You guys aren't mad?" Ryder replied and the pups all nodded. This made Ryder tear up and he then hugged all of his pups in a group hug while he had tears in his eyes but he also exclaimed "I love you guys so much!!!!" "We love you too Ryder!!" The pups exclaimed back as they also teared up.

Ryder was trying to find a good way to bind his chest because of how he was starting to go through puberty he body is developing so he needed to find a way to still make his body look masculine. He thought of using bandages but he remembered that using them would cause seriouse harm to the body, he tried sports bras but failed yet again because he didn't like it. Skye noticed how Ryder was doing a lot of research on his pup pad to find ways to bind his chest so she decided to give Ryder a gift. When she was coming back however with the gift in it's bag, Skye heard something so she went to go see what it was but she then got tangled up in a trap which made her hang upside down in a tree so she had no choice but to call Ryder. Even tho she had to wait a few minutes Ryder, Rocky, and Marshall came to her rescue. Once she was safe, Ryder was about to question what's in the bag but Skye stopped him. "Once we get to the lookout, you'll see." Skye explained to Ryder to which he did. As soon as they got to the lookout, the pups all watched as Ryder opened the bag but as soon he saw what was inside the bag, he put his hand over his mouth. "Is this!?" Ryder asked Skye to which she nodded. "Thank you so much Skye!!!" Ryder exclaimed as he hugged her to which Skye giggled at. Ryder immediately took the bag to the bathroom, he took the chest binder out of the bag, and he tried it on which fitted him perfectly. Ryder couldn't be more happier than to be himself.
