Fingers through my hair woke me with a start, but the sun shining through the window was also another thing that woke me from my slumber. The heat warmed my skin making goose bumps trail along the exposed skin and although the heat from the sun was warming me it wasn't the only thing. It was mainly Robb's fingers running though my hair and then over my shoulders that woke me. It stirred a heat within my body, one I hadn't felt in so long. This was his way of telling me that he was in the mood for love-making, something he wouldn't be receiving for another few weeks.

"What are you thinking about?" his voice whispered into the morning rough from just waking. His voice made my fingers tingle and if I could have been intimate with him during this time today I would have gone ahead with him and made love. A small smile managed to creep across my lips and I moved closer to him, pressing my back to his chest.

"I know what you want," I mumbled looking over to Eddard's bassinet hoping he wouldn't wake at this moment. Robb's hands lowered from my shoulders and ran over the tops of my arms and closing in on my chest; his fingers were running alone the tops of my breasts as if waiting for their opportunity to lower. "You can't have what you want Robb." A deep sigh could be heard and felt from him and even though I had just refused him what he wanted he captured my breasts in his firm grasp, covering them fully with his warm, rough hands.

"You knew for a quiet girl you are such a tease." He remarked pulling my closer to his chest, almost lifting me from my place on the bed. A giggle erupted from my lips and I attempted to cover the sound by turning into Robb and burying my face into his chest.

"I wouldn't say I'm a quiet girl." I stated taking in a breath and then pulling away to peer up at hi through my lashes. I gave him a soft smile and I could tell that my face was heated and my hair was a mess; I probably looked like a wild mess to him right now.

"I suppose after the months spent with me before and after we married that you have changed considerably; more than one would expect." He pointed out adjusting to my change in position so he could pull me against his chest but look down at me at the same time. "You did spend near one and ten months with me, maybe I corrupted you."

"Is it hard for you to think I was this way before we met?" I suggested rolling over fully so I was perched upon his chest and looking down at him. "You forget the words my father spread about me Lord Stark. When your mother picked me, my father accused her for doing so because of my looks, he warned her then not to blame him when she saw the fire within me." I mumbled running my fingers over his chest as I peered down at the exposed flesh.

"That was the night I turned up at The Twins for a feast. I was told my betrothed would be there yet she wasn't when I sat with your father. I thought then that I was going to be married to a brat that only thought about herself." Robb told me capturing my hands and bring one hand up to his my fingertips as he sent me a soft smile.

"I was only thinking about myself that night. I didn't want to see you after I had been named your betrothed so I hide in the library for the evening. I had never met you but I had a feeling you would be a horrid man, spoilt for years by your father and vile towards bastard because you had spent years with Jon in your shadow." I told him hiding my eyes as I could feel his emotions burning off of him like the sun. "That changed after I got to know you. My favorite part of getting to know you was the bow and arrow lessons you taught me. I think I started to fall for you then, it was defiantly when I fell in love with the body the gods graced you with." I could feel a blush spread across my face when I told him about my thoughts, I was still learning not to blush when I spoke of the intimacy between Robb and me.

"You still grow red with heat when you talk about me, my queen. When will the fire stay from your cheeks?" he question leaning up and capturing his lips with mine. From his action I could tell that he wasn't bothered about my first thought of him. I pulled away pecking his lips before resting my head against his chest as I closed my eyes.

"Do you think my father knew about my mother's family? His mention of the fire within me, do you not think he was hinting that he knew?" I mumbled thinking about the words my father had mutter long ago, before I had even thought about marrying Robb and having his children.

"I don't believe he did. Tyrion had to dig deep to find out any information on your mother's side and I do not think your father was bothered to be honest." Robb sighed wrapping his arms around my back, holding me close to him before we could be interrupted by our son. "He was probably talking about your hair; it really does look like a fire. When the wind blows through your hair and there are strands flying it looks like a burning flame."

"I haven't seen Tyrion in the last week, where has he wandered too?" I asked my husband peering into his eyes as if he knew the answer which he did. Robb gave out a chuckle as he rolled us over and trapped my legs between his; I remember doing this when we were both naked and making love.

"Tyrion has gone down to the village to spend his time with the whores." Robb told me bluntly as he captured my lips in a fierce kiss, one we would normally share in the evening and not after waking up. I opened my mouth excepting the kiss as I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer as our kiss deepened.

A shrill cry broke out into the room preventing our kiss from becoming any more romantic. Robb sighed as he pulled away and rolled off me as he slipped off the bed and over to our son. Robb cooed as he picked up his son kissing his nose lightly before holding him close against his chest, cradling his head within his hand. Eddard was shown in my arms and his head was turned in against my chest searching for a beast to get his morning feed.

"Time has passed us show quickly Robb; our prince has already been with us for three weeks." I pondered watching as Eddard greedily sucked on my breast having his fill as his small hand curled and rested above his head. "We've had our son for a near three weeks and it seems as if time has flown by. What have we done in those weeks Robb?" I asked peering up at my husband as he sat opposite us and stared at Eddard as he feed.

"We have become a family Evie, not just you, me and Eddard but everyone as well. The Stark family has grown and become stronger than one could ever think. I have my mother, Jon, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon, Gendry, Sam, Tyrion, Eddard and you. This is the strongest the Stark family has become, but we wouldn't be like this if it wasn't you." Robb told me running his arm over the arm that held Eddard's back to support him as he fed. "I believe that we had Eddard before he was born, he was with us since you feel and he's been building this family months before his arrival."

"Robb Stark who knew you could speak such strong and true words? Your enemies should just sit down with you instead of going into battle." I teased leaning forward to peck his lips as Eddard pulled away from my breast to yawn before capturing it once again to continue his feed.

"If I wanted a normal, obedient wife I would have gone to The Twins with my mother and picked out a girl after getting to know them." He joked running his fingers through my loose hair before settling with a kiss against my cheek as I tried to slap him away.

"I would have still been one of your top picks. You can't deny that you would have been interested in me because of my looks." I stated knowing that he would considering his mother picked my just off of my looks and nothing else.

"You would have angered me with your personality, you did the first few months before we married, and you still do now. I would have been drawn to you constantly and that would have made my decision." He stated standing from the bed and giving me a smile as he went over to his chest and pulled out a clean shirt and breeches.

"Your words flatter me sweetly my dear husband." I muttered looking down at our son as he opened his blue eyes and stared at me. His eyes reminded me of his father so much, but if I looked closer I could see small flecks of green within the blue. The green also took me to thinking about Cersei and were she was within Westeros now and Joffrey; where was her bastard son? "Have you heard more on Cersei and Joffrey?" Robb avoided my eyes as he dressed it seemed he was trying to debate what to tell me and what to keep to himself. If he wanted to be an honest husband he wouldn't keep anything from me but he was trying to protect me and he would do anything to protect me.

"Stannis doesn't know how they escaped but he does know that they won't be getting back into the castle. He has people guarding the Red Keep and the surrounding city so if they attempt to get in he will know." Robb sighed running his hands through his hair as he told me the news I asked for. "I've got men all over our territory; if they plan on coming up North they will have to go through The Twins. I have men there as well but if they get through some other way then we'll be ready for them." He added giving me a look that made me realize he hadn't kept anything from me.

"I'm sure you will be able to protect your family Robb, you would never let anything happen to us." I whispered to him pulling my nightdress over my breast as Eddard finished his feed and dozed back into sleep. Robb pulled on his boots giving me a grateful smile before grabbing his cloak from his chair and throwing it over his shoulders.

"If you plan on leaving this room wrap up in your cloak and wrap him up in a thick blanket and a fur." Robb advised in a warning tone as he pecked my cheek and lifted Eddard from my arms. I had just stood from the bed and was preparing to can into a dress when the door opened and Jon entered his face red and out of breath.

"Bran has woken." He spluttered trying to catch his breath.

GOTGOTGOTGOT

The hallways were far cooler than I could remember and I hoped that the gods would bless us this winter and take the chill from the castle. I would not spend my first winter as a Stark mourning the death of my first and only son. Robb had left in a hurry this morning and I hadn't seen him for the entire afternoon, but I had no doubt that he was spending his time with Bran. I would have gone to see Bran by now but I had Eddard to take care of and I wanted to give him some time with his siblings and his mother. Although I was family it was still not my place to intrude on moment like these.

I turned the corner hoping to find a guard that would be willing to walk with me down into the village; I had a feeling that some of the village people had not been pleased by my departure after Eddard's name-day ceremony. I f I could make it up to them by venturing out of the castle to present my son to them once again I'm sure they would forgive me. I had to think about the Robb and his position as King; if I was his wife I was their Queen. I certainly did not feel like a Queen if I hide away in the castle and let their Prince hide away with me.

"Gendry!" I called out upon finding the boy wandering round the hallways. His head snapped in my direction and he frowned at my appearance before running over to me and giving me a scolding look.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked looking down at Eddard checking that he was covered in think furs. It seemed that all the men in this family thought I couldn't look after my own son; if I was going to be able to do anything in this family I would probably have to ask them beforehand.

"I wish to go down to the village, would you accompany me?" I requested him ignoring the question he had asked me and just continued to walk down the hallway and to the kitchens. I was hoping to find Osha, Lily and Hot Pie, maybe they would like to go down into the village with me as well; the more people that came with me the less Robb would be angry.

"Does Robb know you wish to go down to the village?" Gendry called after me as he rushed to follow me as I descended down into the kitchens. As soon as I opened the door into the kitchen the loud noises that couldn't be heard anywhere else in the castle could now be heard. It seemed astonishing that such noise could be stopped by a simple door, yet it was something that had been prevented for many years.

"Robb doesn't need to know where I am going, but I do not doubt that he will find out." I replied smiling politely at the cooks as they dipped their heads down in respect as I passed them to reach Hot Pie. Hot Pie was making loaves of bread, many of them were different and I could tell some even had fruit within them. "Hot Pie, I was hoping you wouldn't be busy." I muttered to the young boy as I stopped in front of his work station. His dark eyes looked up at me and he stopped rolling the dough of bread, wiping his hands on his breeches before giving me a smile.

"I have nearly finished your grace." He mumbled stacking the balls of dough on a thick board before rushing over to the stone oven and sliding the board into the alcove. "What did you want me for your grace?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to get out of the kitchen for a while, come down to the village with me." I asked him seeing the hope and joy flash in his eyes at my words; I knew he didn't get out much unless he was sent to the village with another cook.

"I would like that very much your grace." He gushed looking over to Mara as she rushed passed with Lily following at her heels. It seemed Lily was stressed and it made em think that inviting her along with us would be a good idea, she really needed a break. The last three weeks she had constantly been at my beck and call; it was my fault that she was worn down and tired.

"It's Evie, Hot Pie." I reminded him before giving Gendry a look as I rushed over to where Mara and Lily were standing folding clothes. "Mara, how bsy is it today? Could you spare Lily and Osha for the afternoon?" I asked the older maid as she turned at the sound of her name.

"Little Evie, I was wondering when I would be seeing you down here with the young Prince." She said lifting her arms in a silent beg to hold my son. I handed him over without a worry and then turned to Lily, who had her hair up in a tight bun.

"Lily dear you look exhausted. I really am sorry for having you rushed around the castle to fix my needs." I told her running my hand over her red, hot cheek. Lily gave me a tired smile as she grabbed my hand and squeezed it lightly.

"Do not apologize your grace, I am only doing my work. It is a pleasure to see you and young Eddard every day." Lily mumbled leaning back against the cool stone wall as she dropped her gaze down to Eddard as Mara cradled him in her arms. "He grows more like his father every day."

"Of course he does, he is a Stark." Osha added interrupting the conversation with Rickon clinging to her skirts. "This one is bored of staying inside."

"It seems the gods have answered you Rickon, I was about to venture down to the village so I assume you will be coming down with us as well then?" I told them both looking down at little Rickon who was nodding enthusiastically hoping that we would not forget him when we all left for the village.

"You're not leaving without me!" Arya's usually bossy tone exclaimed as she ran into the kitchen grabbing an apple as she barged into Gendry, who had been attempting to make his way over to Hot Pie. "Watch what you are doing Gendry!"

"You ran into me!" he called out giving her a frown as he turned to me and raised his eyebrows "Are we actually going to leave or stay in here all day?" he asked me looking at everyone that was supposedly coming down to the village with us.

"Yes, come on you lot we better get going before Gendry ends up killing us all." I muttered to the others as I took Eddard from Mara's arms as I gave Gendry a teasing glare.
