For some reason my bold and italics aren't working some times. Sorry about that if it gets confusing. Thanks for all the follows and favorites. Really appreciating it. I'm going to try updating sooner with chapters that are between 2 and 3 thousand words so you can sit for a bit and just read. I'll TRY. School is finishing soon so that'll either mean more updates or a lot less. Depends on the woman that is my mother. *cough* control freak *cough*

Chapter 4
Harry's POV
"Whoa", that was the only word I was capable of saying. Clearly my brother had other thoughts, as he was jumping up and down like a little kid on Christmas. I don't really blame him though. We did get 1 of the things that we were mostly looking forward to.
On our beds, lay 4 beautiful fancy sticks. Well, after what we learnt, we were guessing they were wands. 2 of them were a bright, polished white as long as our forearms. The other 2 were a pitch black colour. They each had a piece of paper on them.
Seeing as I am the only one who seems to have enough self control to not act like an even smaller child than I am, I walked up to the white ones and picked up the notes.
"These ones are made of yew wood. They have a Phoenix feather cores from the same bird. They are supposed to be very good for curses and channel our inner darkness that everyone has. Wow. Maybe not those. The other 2 are -"
"Please can I read those!" Percy interrupted.
"Fine" I sighed.
"These are made of a dark ebony, yeah no kidding. They're black! Anyway, they have a core of merperson's hair. I hope they didn't mind giving them. They're meant for people who don't get swayed from their purpose easily. Guess that's accurate." Percy was going to continue but Harry beat him to it.
"So it kind of balances the other wand out. So we can use the powerful darkness but also stay true to ourselves. That's awesome. Do you think all ambidextrous people get 2 wands?" Harry questioned.
"Possibly. We can check with all the others at the school. Come o~on. We need to pack so we can get to school in England by magic!."
And so we packed. We packed all our shoes, shirts, toiletries, well all items we owned in general really.
Just as I was going to close the cupboard so that we could go to the living room, Percy stopped me. He gave me the I've-forgotten-something-impossible-to-forget look.
In my head he said, 'you forgot the box' . I quickly opened the cupboard fully and bent down to pull the corner part of the cupboard floor up. Inside was an old, worn down shoe box. But it's what inside the shoe box that we treasure, even more so now.
Inside the box were 4 pearls and a card. The pearls were a ocean blue and looked like they were glowing. Under them the card was open.
Percy reached in and took the card out, then we read it aloud, like so many times before.
Dear Harry and Percy,
I know you won't believe me but I'm your father. Just know that I love you dearly. You'll know what to do with the pearls, actually they'll know what to do. Just keep them safe.
Dad
When we finished reading, the pearls shot up into the air, as fast as lightning, and flew towards the wands. As they reached the base of the wands a bright flash emanated from where the pearls and wands met that made us shield our eyes.
When we looked back we stared at the wands. Instead of the original four, there were two. Each was half black and half white, with the pearls decorating the base. It looked even more beautiful then before and we longed to try a spell with them.
It was then that we realized that we hadn't even touched the wands. Just read the papers on them. We went to pick up the wands. It was like a connection that called us, a buzzing in our arms.
As soon as both wands were in our hands the winds in the room started picking up speed. They went faster and faster until there was a miniature hurricane surrounding us. With my ADHD I noticed nothing in our room was wet, including us. The hurricane slowly died down and eventually stopped.
"O~okay," Percy said, back to his childish excitement, "I really need to try a spell now. Let's go Harry! I want to travel by magic."

When we went downstairs, our mom showed us what we were using to get to England, and to say we were shocked was an understatement.
In her hand she held: an old boot, yes, an old boot.
"Hurry up boys! Hold on tight to all your luggage otherwise you might loose them. Quickly, the portkey's going to leave soon!" mom urged us, trying to get us to move faster.
When we heard 'porky' we immediately put it to magic and grabbed the old boot. Just as we were starting to think it was a prank the ground was swept out from under our feet and we left in a whoosh. There was a churning feeling in our stomachs that just got worse as the ride went on.
It felt like hours to us but when we landed in an alleyway, meaning Percy and I face planted into the ground while mom laughed at us, mom informed us it was only 10 seconds. We talked as we walked, still focusing on thee magical part and not exactly where we were.
"10 seconds! it felt like hours! And do you mind actually explaining a porky before we use another one. I don't think we ate anything yet I can't get the feeling of wanting to puke to go away." Percy complained.
"Firstly, it was 10 seconds. Secondly, a port - key, not porky. It's an object that wizards charm to get somewhere. It sort of carries us and anything we are holding to the place it's charmed to take us to, as long as you are touching it. The reason I told you to hurry is that if you aren't touching the object then it still leaves at its' assigned time. That one was sent by my friend from here, her name is Augusta Longbottom." mom explained. Suddenly somber, mom continued, "Her son, Frank, and daughter in law which she treated like her own were about my age. They went mad while they were tortured for information during the wizarding war. They never gave in." A tear slipped down her cheek.
Seeing this, not knowing fully what the 'wizarding war' was, (but any war was bad) Percy and I stepped forward and gave her a hug. It must have been horrible for mom to lose someone so close to her.
"Anyway, come on boys.", she said wiping the tear away and smiling brightly, " I think their son will be in your year if my math is right. Also we have to buy your school supplies and wand!" she exclaimed excitedly.
"Actually, um, dad, I guess? Yeah, I'll just call him dad. He gave us our wands." I supplied.
"Well lets see then!" she looked so happy and excited we couldn't help but smile with her, even though we have already seen our wands.
"That's a bit more complicated..." I ruffled my hair a bit, worried about how she'd react.
"The black ones are ebony and have a merperson's hair as a core while the white ones are yew and have a phoenix feather from the same bird as cores. We found them as 4 wands, but then they kind of melted together and created 2. Oh, and you know that gift you have us for our birthday last year? The pearls from our dad? They became the base thing, " Percy explained excitedly, beaming at his mom.
As I watched mom she went from ecstatic to confused to realization to disbelief.
Her eyes went even wider than before, which shouldn't have been possible, "Don't go around giving that information to anyone, okay? If they ask... tell them it's a Jackson House thing." she seemed to snap out of the shocked mood and into a more casual one. "And I need to explain some things to you as well but only once we've gotten settled in our room."
We had arrived at what looked like a pub. It was small and looked run down. We definitely would have missed had mom not steered us. Apparently people show up like this all the time as no one spared us a second glance. We walked pasty the many tables and towards the counter and mom greeted the barman.
"Hello Tom, how are you?" she greeted politely.
"Oh Sally! Been too long, eh? Went to New York, right? Well, don't matter now, does it? Oh, and who are these 2?Whose the lucky man?" Tom rambled.
"Well, it's nice to see you. These are my boys, Harry" she said gesturing at me, "and Percy," she said, gesturing at my brother. "I adopted them but, surprisingly, they are still part of our world. I'm actually going to do an inheritance test after we get settled in. They are still a bit new to this so I was thinking tomorrow. And their adoptive father was lost at sea soon after the boys were at home, so they never knew him." she continued.
"Sorry 'bout that. Well, I'm not going to keep you waiting after such a long day. Here are your keys, room 29, on the house. Off you go, and don't forget to explain the system to them, Sally. I heard Malfoy's boy is starting this year too. I'm sure his father brainwashed him as well. Well, anyway, see you later." Tom finished before going between some shelves to look for something.
"Lets go sweeties. The faster we get to the room, the faster I can explain things, the faster we sleep and the more energy we'll have for shopping, which you'll definitely need."

We walked into a room, but clearly it was tinkered with magic. The room was much bigger than it looks on the outside. There were 2 doors right next to ours on either side yet the room was still a descent size, plenty of room for just us.
"Harry! Percy! Please come in and stop staring at the doors. I understand they involve magic but I need to talk to you about something." she added the last part due to Percy opening his mouth and wanting to say something about magic.
We walked into the room and sat on the edge of one of the three beds.
"Okay," she seemed to brace herself before continuing, "You know how we used to have racism, right?" we just nodded, "well, the Wizarding world has it too, but rather by blood status"
"What?!" we both exclaimed. "But they're wizards! They can't be apart of something so cruel when they can use magic. And if your talking about blood status sort of like Hitler then this is just-just wrong! Wizards are supposed to be, uuugh, I don't know! But they aren't supposed to be like this." we ranted.
"Look boys, I know it's not something you like but your going to have to face it either way."
And so she explained. She explained about purebloods, she explained how they thought they were superior, she explained about muggle borns, she explained to not call them mudbloods and everything else. Then she moved on to goblin etiquette, inheritance test, banks, potion supplies, book shops, wand shops, and everything else in Diagon Ally, which we soon learnt is where we would get all our stuff.
Eventually it was dark and we had to go to bed. We were buzzing with excitement for tomorrow. We realized how tired we really were when we put our heads down.
/linebreak\
We woke up early the next morning
'mornin' Harry' Percy mumbled sleepily in my head.
'morning' I said back.
"Come on boys, we need to go get your books, then you can maybe try some spells," mom greeted with a teasing smirk on her face.
We were up and ready before anyone could say magic.
We walked down the Ally gaping at the shops passing by. There was a store for books called Florish and Blotts that mom said we needed to go to as well as a store for potion ingredients and we were allowed pets. But first, we went to the bank to do an in heritance test which we learnt last night was a blood test to see which vaults we have access to.
We stopped in front of a glistening white building that seemed to stretch up high into the clouds. It had Greek pillars and a warning carved into the white marble.
Enter stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
The warning sent shivers down my spine and I could tell my brother felt the same way.
Our attention quickly left the warning and focused rather on the goblins. As we walked past the they bowed to us. Our mom told us about this but we weren't told what to do in response. So, tentatively, Percy and I bowed back. Our mother looked at us with a mixture of surprise, satisfaction and pride on her face. Looks like she wanted to see what our reactions were and it also looks like we did the right one. The goblins, on the other hand, gasped and started gaping at us, looking like fish out of water. Then one of them caught sight of mom and came over to shake her hand. She met him half way and he lead us inside.
Once we reached a desk, a goblin called Griphook, by the looks of his name tag, lead us through a squeaky door after mom told him about the inheritance test.
He leaves to get a knife and bowl of water.
When he comes back we're bouncing on our feet to start. We never knew where we were from and what happened other than what Mrs Longbottom tells us, which isn't much. Apparently the Ministry doesn't know much about what happened, except that our parents were killed, we survived a killing curse from Voldemort and that we defeated him, then went missing. Mom told us that we were going to be Jacksons for now, at least until someone finds out, and that there is a teacher that will help us keep our identity.
Percy sat down on a chair that was next to a table (it seemed to just appear there... it probably did). He took the knife from Griphook bowing his head in thanks. Griphook seemed a bit surprised but hid it fast. Percy made a small cut on the side of his hand and 3 drops of blood fell into the bowl of water. Griphook placed a piece of paper in the water and writing started appearing. When it looked like it was done, Griphook took it out of the water and inspected it.
He gasped in shock before composing himself and reading it out loud.
(I am making some of this up even though I researched, but most of it is true)
"Child conceived of J-james Potter and Lily P-potter. Adopted by Sally Jackson and unknown adoptive father. Y-you are Lord's of the m-most ancient and n-noble houses of P-potter, G-gryffindor and P-peverell from James Potter. You are the he-heirs of the most ancient and noble house of J-jackson, M-monroe, S-slytherin and G-gaunt from S-sally Jackson. " he stuttered almost the whole way through, making quite obvious this wasn't normal.
"Is everything okay Master Griphook?" I asked to check if he was alright.
"I apologize for my stuttering but the ancient and noble house of Monroe was thought to be extinct after Voldemort killed the last known relatives, but it seems not. The Jackson family line was lost long ago, no one has heard from them. And no one thought in millennia that Gryffindor and Slytherin lines would cross each other. Then there is the fact of who your birth parents are and that they are connected to the deathly hallows. And the Gaunts were never known to have a squib, but of course they would have kicked them out of the house." he rambled, until mom cut him off.
"Don't worry about it Master Griphook. And we won't need to do it again, they're twins." she said.
"Also, don't forget to take your rings of the houses, my colleagues will show you how to conceal them. Due to the circumstances of twins we will make you co-lords and there shall be two of every ring. Be very careful, those, such as the Malfoys will want to get their hands on the riches." Griphook warned us.
"Don't worry, I explained everything to them. Thank you for your services Mr. Griphook." we bowed our heads and started out of the door.
Wow, looks like we are different, even in the Wizarding world.
Review Please, it gives me motivation ;) BTW most of those houses are 'real' I tried a little longer of a chapter too, so please review and tell me what you think.
