Hey. Sorry I haven't been updating. I've just been a bit busy. I don't know how people do school and still have time to update. RESPECT! Anyway, I was going to write Chap 2 of It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done but I felt like writing something with Harry Potter so here you are.
I also realized I'm better at 3rd person instead of 1st, but I want to keep this in 1st so I can get better.
And the answer is yes, if you question if I know about ship of Percy and Hermes being Hercy. Just deal with it

Harry's POV
We were really excited. The scarlet train looked like it went on for miles. And we would be traveling miles to get to the school, according to a history book about Hogwarts we read. We also found some on ourselves. It was weird but we read it anyway, just to try to fit in.
We actually found a spell that helped us manipulate the mist. It was called a glamour charm . We were currently using it to shield our scars, as well as a basic ruin to keep it in place. We weren't that good at ruins yet, it was very advanced. So we decided to ask the ruins teacher for help when we got to the school.
We had decided to not reveal we were the Potters unless we needed to, or we trusted someone a lot. So for now we were Percy and Harry Jackson.
As we climbed in, we ran into two of the read-heads out of the family of red-heads that were standing next to us. Neither one was the excited girl, or the boy that had dirt on his nose. These were the twins that looked the same to the last freckle.
I guess it looked a bit comical. Two pairs of twins facing different ways in the narrow hallway, sizing each other up (which meant, who was more identical in this case).
Then all four of us broke out laughing.
The redheads introduced themselves first.
"Hi, I'm Fred-"
"and I'm gorge-"
"and we are the Weasley twins."
I looked at my brother and thought, 'These are the guys Professor McGonagall was talking about, aren't they?' Mischievous grins spread over our faces.
"I'm Harry-"
"and I'm Percy-"
"and we are the Jackson twins."
"This is so cool, ain't it Gred?" Fred asked. How do I know it's Fred? I think it's a twin thing, you just know.
"Oh, this is spectacular Forge." Gorge replied, smirking, but we just stayed back.
I heard a voice in my head, 'Two can play at that game.'
"This is rich, don't you think Parry?" Percy questioned.
Catching on, I said, "Definitely Hercy, what do you think Fred?" I could visibly see them deflate when I pointed at the correct Fred without hesitation.
"Wow, you guys are good. We've never met someone who can tell us apart. Now can we guess which is which for you?" Fred said. He looked like he was trying to be confident. It wasn't working. I could see the uncertainty in his eyes that he tried to hide.
They conversed in whispers until they turned around, "We have decided that you are Harry and you are Percy," they said confidently.
We, on the other hand, burst out laughing. "Nope." we said, popping the 'p'.
"Eh, doesn't matter. So, which year are you in? Oh, what house are you in? How's the work load?" Percy fired off. We were extremely excited. These were the first people from Hogwarts we had talked to and we were going to get all our answers.
"Sheesh, slow down. And I thought you could help us out in pranking, turns out you're some bookworms." Fred said, rolling his eyes, smiling in a playful manner.
We stood up straight and crossed our arms. Identical smirks then made their home on our faces.
"We have been kicked out of 5 schools or more, we lost count, -"
"We strangled a snake when we were babies, making everyone panic. Couldn't go back, -"
"We pulled a lever at an aquarium on a school excursion and fell, with our class and teacher, into the shark tank. Then we played tag with the sharks, -"
"We have also blown up a school bus with a war canon, -"
"We flooded our classroom too and so much more -"
"So you can't actually say we're just 'bookworms' ." Percy finished.
By the time we were finished they were staring at us with their mouths hanging open.
"Close your mouth, you'll catch flies." I teased. They looked ridiculous, like fish out of water. Eventually they managed to control their mouths again and started nagging, or more begging, to help them.
"Please please please! We are Hogwarts's current pranksters. Please join us! We can teach you everything we know! We can show you all the secret passage ways! Just help us. We can even show you how to not get caught!" they begged.
At the last exclamation I could feel my brother's interest peek.
'Think this through first. Do you think it's a good idea to become pranksters. What if we get expelled. Do you really want to risk losing all this just to make a joke.' I thought to Percy.
He just rolled his eyes and responded, 'I was just interested of course I wouldn't want to cause trouble in the first week I'm there. I'm not that stupid, thanks.'
The twins, in the mean time were studying us closely.
"You guys are talking in your heads, aren't you?" Gorge asked.
Percy and I nodded, assuming they could do the same.
"You were doing it for so long and you look like you weren't even concentrating! How is that fair. We have to think about it really hard before it actually happens. And just a few words too."
"Oh," was our only response.
'Godly genes boosting our powers, right?' Percy asked.
'Right. We need to stop assuming everyone is like us. It's revealing too much.' I responded.
I predicted us falling into awkward silence so I said, "Thanks guys, but we're good. Once we get the hang of the school then maybe we'll see about joining you." When I finished, my brother and I squeezed past the redheads and made our way to the nearest empty compartment, which was actually very far away.
We heaved our trunks onto the rail and sat down. It was very comfy. It was mainly wood but the seats themselves were scarlet and looked very... poofy.
Soon a girl with bushy hair came to our compartment, "Have you seen a toad, a first year named Neville has lost his."
My brother and I were going through all the spells we could use to help in our head. After much debating, in thoughts obviously, and just as the girl was about to leave, Percy asked her what the frog was called.
"The frog's name is Trevor, but I don't think that'll help much -" the girl stopped talking when Percy took out his wand.
"I don't think it's a good idea to try magic unless you've read all the instructions properly," she told us in a condescending tone.
"Um," Percy put on his if-you-don't-treat-everyone-as-equals-you-aren't-my-friend look, "No offense completely intended, but we know people like you. You think you're better than everyone, and maybe you are, but then you go and rub it in others faces and being an overall annoying person. I can tell you a couple things about you right now even though I've met you for a couple seconds. Like the fact that you were a teachers pet in you previous school. Or that not many like you. With that attitude, you probably didn't have any friends. Whenever a teacher tells you to help someone, or you do it of your own accord, you rush through it and take pride in making them ask again because it makes you feel smarter. You can't stand not being 1st, not even caring what it's for. And I know for a fact that you've tried some spells because you want to be the best and hinder everyone else.
She stared at us, completely shocked.
"Anyway, I'll get the toad. Accio Trevor the toad." I waved my wand and a couple seconds later Trevor came flying through the sliding door.
"I read about Accio charms! That's in the fourth year's curriculum! Who taught it to you?" she asked. She tried to sound curious, but it came out jealously.
"We got a couple extra books and taught ourselves some extra spells. Don't worry, we might not be doing it right anyway. Only the teachers will know what to actually do." Percy quickly amended the 'self taught' part due to the angry/jealous look on the girl's face.
Standing up, she said "I should get going now. Thank you for helping me find Trevor. I'm Hermione Granger by the way."
"Percy and Harry Jackson" we said.
"That's convenient. Did you know there were twins with your names that were famous. Their parent were killed by You-Know-Who and then they disappeared. They also had black hair and green eyes. If you guys were Potters then you would be exceptionally famous." she said.
We didn't look at each other, knowing that would look suspicious, so we just tried to keep a politely curious face.
"Anyway, you also remind me of another pair of twins I ran into..." and she walked of muttering under her breath.
We smiled, happy we weren't caught so soon and knowing exactly which twins.
There was a lady with a trolley that stopped by our compartment with lots of sweets (which we bought ten of each), and another red-head called Ron who was sent by his brothers to try and convince us to join them (he then left, going to sit with his friends). Other than that, nothing else really happened. We just relaxed and watched the scenery pass by.
/LINE BREAKS-UNIVERSE ENDING-PERCY AND HARRY SAVE IT\
When we got off the train we spotted this giant man, well he wasn't that hard to miss. He was twice the height of a normal person and at least 3 times as wide as one too.
He was yelling, "Firs' years! Firs' years! Firs' years over 'ere!"
We made our way to him and saw all the boats. As we made our way to the lake, we saw the other students getting into carriages that were pulling themselves. Of course we knew they were thestrals. We read about them in a book about dark creatures and what they do. Doesn't really make sense. I mean, thestrals aren't 'dark' creatures themselves. It's just that they can only be seen by people who have witnessed death. We could see them, probably because of our biological parents' death.
We hadn't exactly made any friends on the train, so we ended up sitting in a boat with the giant man.
"Hi there. I'm Rubeus Hagrid, keeper o' groun's and keys o' Hogwarts. Just call me Hagrid thoug'." he introduced himself.
"Hi Hagrid. I'm Percy and this is Harry. As you've probably noticed, we're twins. The Jackson twins." Percy greeted.
"Ar' ya related to a Sally Jackson?" Hagrid asked.
"Wow, mom really.. got... around..." I trailed off. We had just rounded a bend and we now had a full view of the castle. It had tall towers and many archways, a majestic sight to behold.
As we glided through the lake, my brother and I reached out to touch the water. It felt so warm and inviting that I almost jumped in right then and there.
Then a tentacle wrapped around my hand and, next thing I knew, I was submerged. I looked left (dismissing the fact that I could see clearly in what looked like murky waters) and found my brother's face.
I realized then, that I wasn't wet. Surrounded by water, yes. Physically wet, not so much.
There were still two tentacles wrapped around each of our hands, but now we could see the rest of the creature.
Welcome, little lords. I am Sheldon.
"What the hell?!" Apparently my brother had temporarily misplaced the fact that we were still submerged in the lake. I watched the bubbles leave his mouth, dread filling my stomach.
But nothing happened. He wasn't drowning or unconscious ar anything. He was perfectly fine.
He seemed to have come to the same conclusion as me, that we could breathe underwater. Not to mention it gave us a whole lot of energy.
Sorry if I startled you, my little lords. I was told to be expecting you. The merpeople of this lake had received a message from Lord Poseidon saying his sons would be attending the magic school this year.
"It's fine Sheldon. And please don't call us lords, it makes us feel old. I'm Harry and that's Percy." Speaking underwater was weird, but it didn't hurt, so it couldn't be bad.
Percy asked, "Look, it was nice meeting you Sheldon. We're definitely going to visit. But, for now, do you mind getting us back to the shore? I think everyone will be a bit scared. We need to show them we're okay before they all think the lake is dangerous."
I nodded my head in agreement. We did need to get back. They would probably be in the castle now.
Okay little lords. I know a bit of sea magic. Maybe I can help you get to your destination faster.
Before we could tell him not to call us lords, we felt the tentacles on our arms heat up and felt ourselves floating for a second. Then we felt the solid ground beneath our feet and opened our eyes.
We were in a magnificent hall, with large windows and torches lit along the walls. There were four long tables parallel to each other, each having the theme of green, red, blue and yellow respectively. At the front of the hall, was a table perpendicular to all the others. Definitely the teachers table, with all the adults sitting there. we even spotted Hagrid, who was staring at us. Actually, everyone was staring at us.
"Um, hi. sorry we're late. We fell in the lake and She-, uh, the giant squid transported us here." I explained awkwardly. Wow, not even first day and we're already turning up randomly.
"How did-" the lady with the tight bun said. Isn't she Professor McGonagall? she was standing next to a three legged stool. A boy sat on it, wearing a stereotypical worn wizards hat. The hat shouted Slytherin, and the boy scuttled towards the green table which was clapping. Anyway, not important.
"Why don't we just skip the reasoning, Professor? They do, afterall, have to be sorted." an old man said. And when I say old, I mean old. He looked like onw of those wizards out of a fairytale. Or Gandalf. He could pass as Gandalf. I think our mom told us about him.
'Isn't his name dumb-door or something?' Percy thought.
'Can't really remember, but he's definitely the headmaster' I thought back. It was quite easy to distinguish, his chair looked more like a throne at the staff table.
Professor McGonagall stared at us for a few moments before calling my name.
My birth name.
"Harry Potter."
I walked up to the stool and she placed the hat on my head. My brother and I were very aware of the silent hall and the eyes staring at us.
"Well well well. Looks like I've got myself a demigod."
The hat talked in my head, much like my brother and I did, and I didn't like it one bit. It was like an invasion of privacy.
"What's even more peculiar is you have traits of all the houses. Definitely brave and daring, could be has a silver tongue, cunning and you can speak Parseltongue, very possible Slytherin. You have a thirst for knowledge and the creativity to use it, Ravenclaw material. And Fatal Flaw of Personal Loyalty? Hufflepuff would suit you well. You are a very difficult decision, Mr. Potter, Why don't you choose?"
"The house I pick embraces and develops those specific traits. Right?"
"Yes."
"Then I've made up my mind."
"Then you'll be placed in RAVENCLAW!"
The hat shouted the last word to the hall.
The blue table erupted into cheers. That's a bonus, it's blue! Yes! My brother and I love blue.
Percy's sorting was really long, but judging by the stares I received, mine was too. I heard people muttering 'that's got to be the longest haystall ever!' or 'we have Potter! Now we'll definitely win the cup!'
After the while, the hat shouted "RAVENCLAW" and Percy jumped in the seat next to me.
After five minutes, most were still staring and you could hear the occasional whisper. My brother and I had had enough.
Percy started, "Stop staring-"
"-and I'm starving-"
"-so when are we going to eat?" we finished together.
Most of the students were laughing while most of teachers looked like they were having traumatic flashbacks.
Looks like we really should have stayed Jacksons, it would have been easier.
Review please ;)
