Over the next week, the students who weren't in Syltherin gave nasty glares to Snape in the great hall. They truly thought that Snape was being a prat during the Quidditch match, and that any sane person would have attacked him. Nicole Timor was yelled at by her fellow Slytherins, when she was actually defending Dipper's actions. She lost it when Pansy Parkinson called Dipper a mudblood, and gave her a detention.

The main 6 were studying in the library. They had their exams coming up in 10 weeks. Hagrid then showed up, and he suspected no good. "Please tell me yer still not lookin fer information on Nicolas Flamel" he said. "You don't have to hide anything else from us, we know about the Philosopher's stone" said Dipper. "Not here, we'll talk later at me hut" said Hagrid.

When they got to Hagrid's hut, it was really hot in there. "Okay, it's time to spill it" said Harry. "What enchantments are guarding the stone?" "I can't tell ya, mainly cause I don't know me self" said Hagrid. "Plus you six know too much, so I wouldn't tell you even if I knew." "Well you definitely know who's casting the enchantments" said Hermione. "At least tell is who's helping guard it." "Alright, if I told ye it wouldn't be too much information" said Hagrid. "Dumbledore's got some staff members helping him." "He's got something put in there by Sprout, something, put in there by Flitwick, McGonagall added something, and so did Quirrel." "Dumbledore himself even put something there." "Now who am I forgettin?" "Oh that's right, Snape." "Then in that case the stone is as good as gone, He knows how to get to it" said Dipper. "Don't be stupid Mason, yer just cross with him over the whole Quidditch incident" said Hagrid. "Professor Snape is one of the teachers protectin the stone, he's not about to steal it." "Oh God, please tell me that isn't what I think it is" said Pacifica. She pointed to a large black egg in the fireplace. "That's a dragon egg, those things are illegal" said Ron. "Where did you get a dragon egg?" asked Mabel. "I won him off a chap I met in the hog's head, he seemed quite glad to be rid of it" said Hagrid. "You are keeping a dragon...in a wooden house" said Hermione. "Wait a minute, if he's sharing this information with us, that means we're accomplices" said Pacifica. "If he get's found out, all 7 of us are going to Azkaban."

The next day in the great hall, Harry got a letter from Hagrid at breakfast. It was only two words, "it's hatchin" "I can't believe he's going through with this" said Mabel. "I cannot believe we are at risk of being expelled in just our first year" said Hermione. "We need to talk Hagrid out of this" said Harry.

During one of their breaks, they came down to Hagrid's hut to see the dragon hatch. They watched the egg split in two, and out came what looked like a crumpled black umbrella. "It's a Norwegian ridgeback, this type of breed is rare" said Hagrid. "Dear God, we are on the threshold of hell" said Dipper. Hagrid went down to pet it, and it snapped at his fingers. "Look at that, he knows his mummy" said Hagrid. "I think i'll call him Norbert." "Three headed dogs, dragons, why are you so obsessed with dangerous animals?" asked Pacifica. "An animal can be cute when they are tamed" said Hagrid. "And what do you plan on doing when Norbert gets bigger?" asked Hermione. Hagrid was about to answer, until he saw someone at the window. He walked over to it, and was just in time to see someone running back to the castle. "It's a student" he said. "They looked out the window, and could obviously tell it was Malfoy. "The one person we can't trust, is the one who finds us out" said Dipper. "This is not good, this is not good" said Harry.

Over the next few days, Hagrid had been neglecting his gamekeeping duties in favor of Norbert. The group was constantly trying to convince him to get rid of Norbert. "Malfoy knows what's going on, he can go and tell Dumbledore at any time" said Ron. "I know I can't keep em, but I can't just throw em out, he could hurt" said Hagrid. Harry then turned to Ron. "That's it, Charlie" he said. "Now you're as mad as Hagrid, my name is Ron, not Charlie" said Ron. "No, I meant your brother Charlie" said Harry. "He takes care of dragons in Romania, maybe he can take Norbert in." "That is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard" said Dipper. "How the hell are we going to transport something so illegal, from Scotland all the way to Romania with nobody noticing?" "What other choice do we have?" asked Hermione.

Ron eventually sent an owl to Romania, and they were waiting for a response. Shortly before their scheduled curfew, he and Dipper were actually going down to Hagrid's hut to help feed Norbert. It went horribly wrong, as Norbert ended up biting Ron's hand. If that wasn't bad enough, Norbert breathed fire, and Dipper's back caught alight. JESUS CHRIST, I'M ON FIRE!" shouted Dipper. He began to stop drop and roll, but the flames wouldn't go out. It didn't stop until Hagrid pulled out a pink umbrella, and used it to douse water on him. Dipper way laying face forward on the ground, with several tears in the back of his shirt, along with several red marks on his back. "Ron, get back to your dormitory, i'll get Dipper to the hospital wing" said Hagrid.

When Mabel found out about what happened to her brother, she began to panic. "It's alright Mabel, he's going to be fine" said Hermione. Then Hedwig flew in the window, with a letter in her mouth. They all leaned in, and read the letter.

Dear Ron,

How are you? Thanks for the letter - I'd be glad to take the Norwegian Ridgeback, but it won't be easy getting him here. I think the best thing will be to send him over with some friends of mine who are coming over to visit me next week. Trouble is, they mustn't be seen carrying an illegal dragon

Could you get the Ridgeback up the tallest tower at midnight on Saturday? They can meet you there and take him away while it's still dark.

"So it's settled, the Astronomy tower on Saturday night" said Harry.

Leading up to Saturday, Ron's hand got even worse. It kept growing in size, and was a bad shade of green. He eventually gave in, and finally went to the hospital wing. The group was actually visiting him and Dipper. Dipper was laying face down on his bed, with bandages covering his back. Edward flew into the room, and Dipper gently began stroking him. "Sweet birdie, majestic birdie" he said. He was glad that his owl was there to comfort him. "This is really bad, Malfoy was just here" said Ron. "He saw the letter in one of my spell books, he knows everything." "It's too late to change the plan now, it's now or never" said Harry. Madame Pomfrey eventually shooed them out of the hospital, saying that Ron and Dipper needed their sleep.

Back in the common room, Harry was explaining the plan. "The cloak is only big enough for three of us, one of us will have to be outside the cloak and be extra careful." "You three get under the cloak, i'll be the risk taker" said Mabel. Harry, Hermione, and Pacifica then got under the cloak, and they all went down to Hagrid's hut.

Mabel had to be extra careful, and had several close calls with Filch, and even Peeves. They then made it down to Hagrid's and he gave them a crate containing Norbert. It was a tearful goodbye for Hagrid.

On their way up to the Astronomy tower, Mabel had to duck under a table, as Malfoy was rounding a corner. Malfoy was then caught by Professor McGonagall. "What do you think you are doing Mister Malfoy?" she asked. "You shouldn't be out at night." "Detention and 20 points from Slytherin. "You don't understand, Harry Potter is transporting an illegal dragon" said Malfoy. "As if I need to hear any more nonsense" said McGonagall.

The group managed to make it to the Astronomy tower, and handed Norbert off to Charlie's friends. They were so excited about being rid of him, along with Malfoy being put in detention, that they forgot the cloak, and were caught by Filch. "Oh dear, the four of you are in trouble" said Filch.

Authors note: In a world without magic healing, I do not see a way for Dipper so survive his back catching on fire.
