Goodbye, Dear Friend

Since the day Hope Andrea Mikaelson and Charity Morgan Mikaelson were born into the Mikaelson family, Charity has been neglected and Hope has been loved and appreciated.
It was a part of Charity's life, that everyone was favoring Hope instead of her, so she didn't question it. But when she did, she found reasons why they would do it and cool it down.
The reason why she didn't think it was a big deal was because everyone was acting like that towards her.
Charity gave herself the fault since she understood she was different from her family. Her father, Klaus, is a hybrid, her aunt's and uncles are the original vampires, her mother, Hayley, is also a hybrid, her sister, Hope, is a tribrid, the first and only kind and Charity?
Charity is a normal human being.
Surprised?
Everyone was, every supernatural being, including hunters, thought she would at least be a witch or a werewolf. But there was nothing supernatural in her.
As if that wasn't enough, Alaric Saltzman made a deal with Klaus and Hayley to let Charity enroll into the mystic falls high school and not the salvatore boarding school.
At first Charity was angry about it, deeply, but then she noticed it wouldn't have changed a thing, no one cared about the human Mikaelson.
When the twins turned seven and their family came back to life, Charity noticed how they acted individually towards the girls, she put them one to one.
Years went by and Charity changed, at the beginning she tried to turn the attention towards her but when she turned nine she gave up and ended up drifting herself away from them more and more until she was a complete stranger to them.
"Sometimes I forget how young I am", Harvey says out of nowhere.
Confused, Charity looked up to him after her glance was at the turquoise water of the abandoned swimming pool.
"What do you mean?", Charity asked him disoriented and kept on biting into the red vine licorice.
Harvey was playing with the water with his feet and tried not to make a big deal out of what he just said.
"I mean, there's enough time, you know. I have time to try new things out, we won't be stuck in our current situation forever", he tried to explain it to her and looked her deep in the eyes.
"Right, and unicorns will start to come out of the woods, oh and I will start to get powers", Charity joked around and let herself fall back.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was out for the first time since spring started. The birds are singing, the trees are starting to get their green dresses out and the water is glowing beautifully when the sun is shining on it.
The sky is bright blue with no clouds in sight, it's the perfect day to go out with the whole family. Just what Harvey's and Charity's family did, the only thing they left behind is both of the teenagers.
"Come on, Red, you know what I mean", Harvey tried to stay serious and gave Charity his best puppy face.
As she finally came down from her sarcastic state she considered thinking about what he said.
Charity sighed heavily and finally shared her thoughts with her best friend.
"Everything will change for good for you, not for me. I will always stay Charity Mikaelson, the second born twin sister, the human girl who will stay in the shadows1 of Hope Mikaelson, the perfect tribrid daughter. It will never change for me, I'm just a burden"
Their silence was somehow comforting and spoke for itself, it was peaceful in a way where they could feel at home, even though they never knew what feeling at home felt like, and knew that no matter what was happening, they were forever there for each other.
"I will always be there for you, Red. All in or all out, right?", Harvey assured her and smiled at her understanding.
"All in or all out", Charity smiled at him and snuggled up to him, feeling at peace for once.
With good to no effort she climbed up into the second floor. In all these years she taught herself a lot of things such as climbing up floors through the window, fighting, just as killing.
No one beside Harvey knows about it, even though she keeps herself in the shadow, she would never stay in the shadow if someone is getting hurt, just like that one specific night.
It was a hard day for Charity, she found out that Harvey would be sick for the next few days, so she was all alone in school against all of her bullies, Dana threw a slushie at her and more.
It was horrible, she had no one to turn to and at moments like that she wishes she had powers or at least a sister to talk to.
"Help!"
Bewildered Charity searches for the cause of the scream of help, as the voice screamed for the second time, she became alerted and walked into an alley.
Charity caught sight of the situation, it was three teenage boys who were getting dangerously close to a girl, but instead of backing off, they got closer and laughed at her.
"Hey!", Charity tried to get the boys' attention towards her, but they ignored her.
The girl was giving her a desperate look, a silence cry of help. Charity straightened her hat and made her hands into a fist, ready to throw some hands at them.
"Hey, you you desperate scumbag filled with hormonal outbreaks, are you fucking deaf or can't you hear me through your own bullshit and ego", Charity yelled at them not giving a fuck about the outcome of what she just did.
"What did you just say to me and my boys", the boy asked her to make sure she wasn't joking and left the girl before to circle the blond Mikaelson.
"You heard me right, so you're also deaf, aren't you?", Charity provoked him, distracting him and his minions from the girl that ran away to get a deputy.
For a hot second it was silent until the boy remembered something and started laughing.
Puzzled Charity gave the other two boys a look, who also didn't understand his action but laughed anyway.
"What is so funny?", Charity finally asked.
"Nothing beside you are the girl whose sister is in a private school and you are in mystic falls high, even your parents don't want you", Ryan said through his laughter and wielded his knife around.
"Good to know you find it funny, at least I have a real friend who is there for me and will cover for me anytime", Charity told him and started to get into work.
She kicked the red haired guy in his nuts, while hitting the other guy in his head with her elbow real hard.
She acted so fast that the leader of the threes forgot how to attack her.
Charity beat into the guys until they were, at the time thought, unconscious. Her outfit was covered in dirt and blood, her fist was dark red, some from her own cuts, some from the boys.
"You crazy bitch", the guy shouted at her and ran towards her, wielding the knife at the same time to hurt her badly or kill her, but Charity acted fast and took the upper hand, swiped his knife away and rammed it into his neck.
For a second he started screaming very loudly of pain, but immediately stopped when she pushed it deeper into him.
For the first time it was silence, she was proud of herself, she did that all by herself, she killed three boys, because they tried to hurt a girl.
It was a relief, Charity thought about helping this girl nothing else, she didn't think about her family, herself being useless or anybody else, not even what she was worth for, her only thought was to protect the girl and probably the girls after her.
She killed those guys to protect others.
Charity started to chuckle in the alley, covered in blood and dirt between three corpses. The only thing she heard or felt was the sirens of a deputy's car and the sting of the wounds in her hands.
That was the turn for her, she wanted to help the poor human beings, even though they didn't help her, but she was the only one who knew they were endangered by the supernatural world and scumbags like Ryan.
"Where were you?", Hayley asked her disappointedly and crossed her arms in front of her breasts.
Per usual, when someone came in, it was to be disappointed by Charity and her presence.
"I was at the library helping Harvey study for our exam tomorrow", she answered her mother and took off her jacket, but hid the truth about what she really did.
"Don't you think you forgot something?", she asked her again, sighing disappointed.
Confused, she thought about what she maybe could have done.
"Eh.. n.. no?", Charity answered, disoriented.
"You forgot your sister's birthday, you should have been here for her important day", Freya also came to discuss with her angrily.
"Really? You can't be serious? Don't you also forget something? We are twins!", Charity thought to herself, she would have loved to tell them the truth but left it by that.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot, I'll make it up to her", Charity lied to them and started to ignore them.
After both of them noticed she wasn't listening, they left but not unnoticed.
"Charity, Charity, open the door, I need grandma's memoir", Hope screamed from behind the closed door, waking Charity from her sleep brutally.
Charity breathed in startled, but tried to ignore her. She was too tired to interact with Hope so early, so she turned around and struggled with getting back to sleep with Hope's loud knocking in the background.
After a few minutes it started to get silent on the other side, with that Charity closed her eyes to get back to sleep, but was interrupted again. This time with Hope opening up Charity's closed door with her magic.
"That's not fair for you to use your magic, do you know what privacy is?", Charity complained to her sister and threw her blue bed sheets to the side to get up.
Hope ignored her and looked for the book she broke in in the first place. Instead she found Charity's opened laptop with a symbol.
"What is that? The government? Why do you have it on your laptop?"Hope asked her sister's curiosity, taking the best of her and took a better look at it.
Charity acted fast and got out of her bed, not thinking about covering herself, just to get to her laptop and close it, before Hope put the clues together.
"Not really, it's SHIELD, I.. just like the logo.. it's a cool bird", Charity tried to sound stupid and closed her laptop.
Hope raised an eyebrow, but forgot all about the symbol and got back to searching.
"I had the book first", Charity spoke up and didn't give her twin sister their grandma's book.
"I'm bored and want to read it, dad said I can have it", Hope argued with her sister.
"But I'm reading it at the moment, get another one", Charity argued back and crossed her arms.
"You are only reading the book, I create magic with it, read something else, like..", Hope searched for something that looked like a boring book," This.. sciencey book thing".
She picked Charity's science book for advanced children and threw it towards her way.
"Now give me the book", she demanded.
The discussion went on like that until their uncle, Elijah, walked in annoyed by their screaming.
"Girls what happened now?"
"Hope wants grandma's book even though I'm reading it at the moment", Charity was faster and explained it to him.
"Charite doesn't need it, she's human and weak, I need it to practice my witchcraft", Hope explained it from her side of view.
"Really? My name is Charity, not Charite", Charity corrected her sister furiously.
Elijah stopped the two girls with a hand motion, both of them gave their uncle their attention.
"Charity don't scream at your sister and give her the book, she needs it more than you do", he demanded.
"As always on her side..", Charity thought to herself and was deeply disappointed in him, but it was nothing new, she always won, they were always on her side.
Hope on the other hand achieved her goal, Elijah was on her side, she got her book that she snatched right in front of her sister's nose and Charity got in trouble, even though she only corrected her sister. Hope smiled triumphantly.
"Sorry", Charity forced it out of herself, just so they could leave her room and let her change into a different outfit in peace.
Charity huffed through her nostrils furiously, but she kept storing the anger inside herself like a hidden place with lots of locks on it until she was far away from them to let it out.
Faster than usual, she took off her pyjamas, grabbed her black jeans and a black hoodie, on the way to her window she put on her red vans and her black leather jacket, while putting on the hood.
As quietly as she could she opened her window, she was lucky that she got the room with the view to an alley, otherwise it would have been difficult to sneak out, but she managed it well until now.
With her legs first she climbed down, the last bit she jumped and checked again if someone saw her. Since no one noticed her being gone, she walked out of the alley, still looking around to make sure she won't get caught.
Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. In meditation, the mind is clear, relaxed, and inwardly focused.
When you meditate, you are fully awake and alert, but your mind is not focused on the external world or on the events taking place around you.
Harvey loved to meditate, he was a more relaxed person, even if someone hit him with a baseball bat, he would sort things out calmly. Not like Charity, who would behead the person.
For years Harvey was Charity's anchor, even though Charity had some serious anger issues, he was the only person who calmed her down after a fight like the one in the morning.
"How does this help me again?", Charity asked him as always, when they meditate, while opening one eye to only see the blue sky again.
"Our ultimate goal today is the feeling of relaxation and inner peace. It's going to help you to forget your anger towards... towards everything", Harvey answered her question and opened his eyes to check on her.
"We've been doing this for years and it isn't working, besides that I know now how my heart beats and how loud you brea-", she complains but silences after she hears something.
"How loud do I do what? Come on say it, I won't be mad", Harvey encouraged her to end her sentence, but only got silenced down by her.
Silence overcame the abandoned house, even the two teenagers were silent. For a second Charity thought she heard something, but it turned out it was nothing.
"I thought I heard something", she whispered to Harvey, so he would finally understand why she acted weird.
He nodded, still keeping still and silent, if it was something different than the birds.
Again, the silence overcame the whole building, the only thing that was to hear was the breathing of Harvey.
They were frightened for the first time in their life, no one knew about their secret place, because no one cared enough. But now it felt like they were watched from every angle.
Maybe it was paranoia, but maybe it wasn't. Maybe they were right and someone was breaking in without noticing it.
"I think we should go", Harvey was the first one to break the awful silence and stood up.
"Yeah, we should", she whispered and also stood up, walking through the hallway of the abandoned house.
With their luck, they could see a single thing, it started to get dark outside and the house didn't have electricity, so it was harder to find the way out.
"Maybe we should go eat something, a way of passing the time", the young girl suggested and walked ahead through the mess of a hallway.
But as she didn't get an answer she turned around to look for her best friend, but there was no way to be found.
"Blue, it's not funny, for real, come out, we don't have time for those games", Charity chuckled nervously and thought about going back, but was against it.
Just when she wanted to say something to Harvey someone shot an arrow with anesthetic in it into her body.
"Hey you, girl, wake up", a teenage voice whispered in her ear and shook her.
"Her name is Red", Harvey's voice appeared.
"Good to know and yours?", the girl asked him in a more sassy voice.
"Blue"
The teenage girl was about to say something about the strange names, but ignored it.
"I'm Magnolia, but please call me Jordan, it sounds way too girly for me", she introduced herself and checked on Charity, as she started to move more.
Slowly her eyes fluttered open, it took her a while until she got used to the bright light.
"Where are we?", the dry voice of Charity asked the two, still getting used to the environment while taking a look for herself.
They were locked in a small dark room with a little window to view out, but sadly there was nothing but bright white snow. The small room looked old and wasn't taken care of, there were still prints of blood and mould. Beside the gate across the window, there was no other way to hear or see the hosts or other imprisoned people.
Harvey eyed Jordan, since she was longer in this hell hole than the two teens from New Orleans.
"A HYDRA base somewhere in the Russian high arctic, Severnaya Zemlya, it has-", Jordan was in the middle of explaining but was cut off by a confused Charity.
"37,000 km of area and zero population, great we are captured by HYDRA and there is no way of escaping, it couldn't get any worse", she ended Jordan's sentence and sighed.
It's the third night the two best friends were stuck in the cell with Jordan, the only time they saw or heard someone was a doctor or agent who worked for HYDRA while carrying a dead, screaming, scared for their life or unconscious patient.
"Blondie get up, you're getting picked up by the doctor", an agent came in with one of his big guns and a man in a white coat behind him.
Fear brewed up in Charity's stomach, her breathing and heart rate increased rapidly, her body was building up for her 'fight or flight' reaction, still deciding on which one it's going to be.
"No", Harvey reacted fast and stood in front of his best friend.
He swore himself from day one he saw Charity
he would protect her no matter what, might it be from bullies, supernatural or, in this case, a HYDRA agent. He knew he would never win against a buff guy with a weapon, but the thought counted.
He loved Charity like a sister, he couldn't let someone hurt her. But the buff agent had other ideas, he shot Harvey in the middle of his chest two times, making sure he would never try something like that again.
Trying to realize what happened, he put his right hand on the wound that was already streaming out of blood.
Harvey swallowed heavily, he's sight started to get blurry and dark until he let himself fall beside Charity who just started to realize what happened.
Her best friend was shot and he will most likely not survive it.
Her frozen body defrost and let herself fall to the ground beside Harvey, thinking it was all a dream, a bad one.
"No, no, no, no, no, y-you can't just leave me, Blue", Charity tried to say through her crying.
Harvey tried his best to stay alive for at least a few more seconds for Charity, he grabbed her hand and pressed the hardest he could.
"It's okay, Red, you got time, use it, be happy, free", Harvey tried to tell her through his breathing, attempting to breathe despite the blood blocking his lungs.
"Not.. not without you, I can't function without you, B", she cried even harder.
Poor Jordan was only watching in fear for their life's and the sad fate of Harvey.
"Stored anger, use it, meditate later, I love you, Morgan", Harvey said his last words until he started coughing and throwing up blood, before his time was up.
"I love you, Harvey Francis"
His body gave up and lost all the power it had just a minute ago. His eyes got glossy and were wide open up until Jordan closed them for him, slowly and careful.
The room was filled by the cries and sadness of the teenagers. No one cared to say something till the buff agent did.
"Quit the sadness, get up now, ain't got time for your drama!", the guy shouted through the room, what was a big mistake.
Charity's sadness turned into pure anger, anger towards the man who did this to Harvey.
"Come on or I'm gonna put the next bullet through that girl's forehead"
Right at the same time that Charity looked up, Jordan eyed Charity, but she noticed something new, something different. Her grey-blueish eyes turned into a pink-redish color with anger written all over it, just before she turned around and snatched that agent's weapon away and did what she could do the best.
Kill and fight.
