You Were Good To Me
Warning: attempted suicide
Her head was filled with words, somewhere loud, screaming and shouting, but others were quieter, whispering. She sat there in the interrogation room paralyzed from what happened earlier.
Charity kept repeating the events in her head, how she killed every doctor, agent or person who was part of the cause of hurting someone. Right when she killed the last person SHIELD broke in and found all the dead corpses, the relieved patients and in blood covered Charity.
Something happened in there but no one knew what exactly beside someone or something killed the enemy.
Behind the bulletproof glass were standing some of the high ranked SHIELD agents who were confused, watching every move that Charity makes, but to their surprise nothing happened.
The teenager was traumatized, watching her best friend die so young and so fast.
"You can't be serious, her? Killing everyone? A teenager killing trained assassins who are part of the HYDRA for decades?", Director Fury expressed his annoyance and disbelief, but kept on watching Charity.
"Super soldiers existed back then, you really are doubting this theory?", Agent Coulson asked him back and lifted an eyebrow.
"You are still arguing what happened there? How about talking to her?", Maria came in with files and suggested a good idea.
Fury and Coulson gave each other a look and nodded, through their facial expression they decided who was going to talk to her. Maria, still kept in the dark, watched the whole plan making between the two via facial expressions until Coulson walked into the investigation room.
"I'm not gonna ask what the two of you just did there", Maria whispered more to herself.
Charity's gaze was fixed on the same point as before, even after Coulson walked in. He kept it casual, walking in, pushed the chair back and sat down. The first few seconds he tried to find a change in her face, but she still wasn't looking up.
"I'm agent Phil Coulson from the global law-enforcement organisation known as S.H.I.E.L.D. I still have no idea what it stands for, but probably something with fighting of HYDRA or something like that", Coulson tried to sound casual and normal about the situation he got in front of himself.
Finally Charity found interest in what he was talking about and stared at him without any emotions showing.
"Look, the girl, who was locked up with you, didn't want to leave your side, the others on the other hand were scared of you, how come?", he asked her in a softer tone, but all he got was silence.
"How about we start small? Sounds good to you? What's your name? Where did hydra take you from?", he attempted another try but failed and again he was greeted by silence.
Coulson sighed defeated and stood up, there was no chance that she would come out of her trance, she needed time to process what happened back there, he thought to himself.
But Charity was already back, not fully, but enough to react to others. She thought about revealing herself, but was against it. The least she could do was talk back, not tell the truth, however speak up.
Just when agent Coulson was about to open the door, Charity's voice appeared, a little shaky and dead.
"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division" With eyebrows drawn together, he returned back to his place, while thinking about what she said.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.", Coulson spelled the first letters of each of the words out and was impressed by her knowledge, when Maria confirmed it through his earpiece.
"I don't remember what happened, a guard... killed my best friend since then I can't really remember what happened."Charity started to answer all of his questions. Now it was his turn to be the silent one.
"Call me Red and they picked us up at an abandoned house we hung out for years, Manor Loan, a little outside of Mystic Falls", her voice started to break down so bad that when he ended her sentence, Coulson could barely hear her.
"We should maybe get you back to your parents, they probably are worried sick for you, Red", he told her after he heard the approval of letting her go in his ear.
"Not really, they most likely didn't even notice the disappearance", Charity said and looked him dead in the eye.
New Orleans is world-renowned for its distinct music, Creole cuisine, unique dialect, and its annual celebrations and festivals, most notably Mardi Gras. The historic heart of the city is the French Quarter, known for its French and Spanish Creole architecture and vibrant nightlife along Bourbon Street.
However New Orleans isn't only home to human beings, it also includes werewolves, vampires and witches. Some of them take part in human life, partying, drinking, having the time of their lives. Some of them on the other side are the ones that protect, find answers or are confused by the blond Mikaelson who was born completely human.
When she was finally out of public's eye, she climbed up the walls to her room, where the window was still open from the last time.
After closing the window, she walked up straight to her bed, spreading out like a starfish.
The images of Harvey's dead body played in her head over and over again.
Harvey is dead.
He won't come back, won't show her how to meditate or do the best out of their miserable lives.
She was all alone with herself.
A tear of sorrow flows down her light pink cheek. She continued to stay in the same position as before, she felt paralyzed again. Charity tried to feel something else beside the hollow inside of herself.
"Hey Charite- I mean Charity, I'm gonna borrow your laptop, I accidentally blew mine as I was practicing, Mom said it's fine", Hope stormed in and went straight to her sister's laptop, however she noticed her sister not fighting for it as usual. Hope glanced at her, her brow went up as she started to inspect her sister.
She felt that something was off, but couldn't make up her mind what she was feeling right now. It's like she was emotionless. Her clothes were filled with dirt and were ripped on some parts.
"Charity? You're scaring me", Hope warned her twin sister, however Charity wasn't reacting to her.
"I'm getting someone", Hope finally decided after she kept an eye for her for five minutes.
"Mom! Dad! Anyone!", she screamed through the mansion, only when she started to walk down the staircase, she got an answer.
"What happened, Hope?"Freya, frightened and walked out of the kitchen.
"I think something is wrong with Charity", Hope told her truthfully.
Freya sighed relieved and shook her head.
"I thought something happened to you, Hope. Don't scare me like that", Freya shared her feelings to her and laid a hand over her heart.
Hope gave her a confused look and expanded her answer," but something probably happened to Charity, can you please just go up there and look for yourself?".
"Fine, her school has called anyway for her absence for over a week without a note", Freya decided since she was the only family member at home right now to take the role as the parent.
"However you should go into your room and change your outfit, the others are about to come back to take you on a trip", she informed her niece happily and slowly walked up the stairs into her other niece's room, that she was most likely never in.
"Charity, your sister thinks something is wrong with you. Please don't make your sister be distracted from training.", Freya walked right in with a lecture instead of looking after her second born niece.
No sound came out of Charity, her thoughts were still in Romania, where she lost control and Harvey. Hope walked by but stopped after she saw how her aunt handled the situation.
"Your school called, they were asking what happened to you, Charity. Why did you skip school again? Do you want them to expel you?"
At last Charity woke up from her trance noticing her aunt in front of her waiting for answers. She had no idea what she was talking about but had a feeling Freya tried to use the don't distract Hope from her training card again, so she nodded and apologized.
"I'm sorry, won't happen again, I promise"
Freya nodded happily and left. Hope on the other hand stayed, kept watching her sister who looked exhausted, miserable. She opened her mouth to ask her the questions she had in her mind.
"Are you ok? Did something happen?"
But she left it by that and left her sister alone.
It's been a week. A week of fighting through her sadness and madness. The school got wind of what happened to Harvey, yet it wasn't the real story, SHIELD covered it well.
While we are talking about SHIELD, Charity wasn't contacted by them ever since they found them in Romania.
Everyday she was getting worse and worse, until she couldn't take it. Her world was crashing and no one noticed it. Not even her old best friend, Landon Kirby, who transferred to the Salvatore Boarding School, also who turned out to be a phoenix.
The day he started dating Charity's sister, Hope, he completely forgot who she was. Her days seemed to stay the same, everyone was bullying her or ignoring her, the only difference is everyone acted like they knew Harvey and were mourning for him, which was activating her gagging reflexes.
But that will stop, like anything else. She had nothing to live for, she was a broken madness. Charity had no one that cared for her, no family, no friends, no one. She was a human being in a supernatural world that was a burden to everyone. She was done with everything and everyone.
"-Sincerely, Charity", Charity signed off her letter to whoever's going to read it.
She read over it, if she forgot something or not, but it was fine. Who would judge her for the writing? Until then she wouldn't exist anyways.
She had already placed a video tape in Landon's room in the salvatore boarding school for him to explain everything, if he was interested enough or still thought about her.
"I guess, I'm ready now", Charity whispered to herself even though she was alone in the mansion. The other's left her alone and went on a trip with their favourite child.
She left the letter on her bed, she gave her room a last glance until she was ready to go to the abandoned house.
Her plan was to fire up the whole place, no one cared for the spot anyways, but then again she didn't want to die by burning herself alive, so she would drown herself beforehand. It was a weird plan, but she knows about witches and they can do everything.
Near the front door the fire started to spread slowly but surely, giving her enough time to do it.
Her feet touched the cold water in the pool, she sighed heavily, but at the same time peacefully.
Charity sat there until she was finally ready to do it. She let herself fall into the water, her eyes were wide open, seeing how the bubbles of air went up.

The water closed in around her, filling her with a deep dread. Her head is pounding, every cell in her body is screaming for oxygen. She felt her strength leaving her alone until she sank into the darkness, where she felt at peace.
