While on a trip away from home, due to health concerns, Jackson and Ramona are put into quarantine with one another. With little to do for two weeks, the two teenagers begin to explore their feelings and deep desires for one another.

Ramona then plainly said, "I'll let you take first night, if you let me get first dibs on the shower now." Jackson nodded and said, "Fair enough."

Day 2:

Jackson was laying on the bed reading a book, as Ramona stepped out of the bathroom rubbing her nose. Jackson glanced at Ramona and said, "Ramona, you feeling okay?" Ramona turned her head and said, "No. Those things those guys stuck up my nose at the door... Err. I think I can still feel it." Jackson rolled his eyes and said, "It was unpleasant, I know. But we should get the results soon." Then the nearby hotel phone rang. Jackson immediately turned on the speaker phone and said, "Yes?" The two teenagers heard a voice on the other end say, "Yes. Jackson, Ramona. The test results came back. And... I'm sorry to say but you two and several other students tested positive. And since we've been ordered not to have you leave town, you're both going to have stay in quarantine together for another twelve days." A wide eyed Ramona moved her face towards the phone and said, "What!? But I wanted to go home. I can't stay cooped up in this room with..." The voice on the phone said, "Ramona, all of the other rooms in the hotel are already filled with other people in quarantine. We cannot have you leave. Now, someone from the hotel staff will be calling you soon and will take any requests for any food or essential items you need. I'll be checking in every day too. I'm sorry." The the phone cut off. Ramona looking angry, stood up, and kicked the wall as she said, "Ugg. I stayed safe! I followed the rules and wore a mask. I even didn't leave the house for two weeks before this trip. And now... ugghhh!" Jackson trying to sound calm said, "I know it's rough Ramona. But hey. We'll have essential items delivered to us. We got TV and books. Plus, we got wi-fi so we can still video call with our families. We'll make it through this." Ramona then sat down in the chair as she said, "Err. Maybe..."

Day 3:

Jackson was laying in a sleeping bag on the floor in the early morning. Jackson then heard painful moaning sounds from the bathroom. Jackson instantly got up and saw the bed was empty and Ramona was not in the bedroom. Jackson turned his head as he said, "Ramona?" Jackson then stepped into the bathroom and saw Ramona standing near the sink, bent over a bit, with one hand on her chest. Jackson looking concerned said, "Ramona, what's wrong?" Ramona with a painful look on her face said, "I'm okay. Just couldn't sleep." Jackson then put a hand on Ramona's head and said, "You have a fever. Quick, take some pain meds I've got here." As Jackson prepared a glass of water, Ramona said, "No, I can't be sick. I did everything right. I was supposed to go home and..." Jackson then handed Ramona pain medication as he said, "Swallow and drink." Ramona did as Jackson requested. Then Jackson led Ramona towards the bed as he said, "Now just lay down and rest. Are you experiencing any other symptoms? Any problems breathing?" Ramona then said, "No, I can breathe fine, but the pain... Ugg. My whole body is in pain. Especially my chest." As Ramona laid back in bed and Jackson tucked her in he said, "Well hopefully the pain meds will help with that. I'll text our teachers and our moms right now and let them know what's going on. But just rest Ramona. You will get better." As Ramona closed her eyes, she laid back as she said, "Uggg..."

Day 4:

Ramona slowly woke up and sat up in bed as she saw Jackson looking at his phone with an upset look on his face. Ramona briefly looked at the alarm clock near her as she said, "Wow. 11am. I really slept in today. Hey Jackson, anything wrong?" Jackson rubbed his forehead for a brief moment but then said, "Wi-fi in the building is out. We can do regular phone calls on the land-line here but... Ugg. And it looks like we're both in a dead zone for phone service." Ramona then laid back in her bed as she said, "Are you kidding me!? No wi-fi or internet!?" Jackson then trying to sound more calm again said "Well we can still call the outside world, so there are worse things. So you feeling any better this morning?" Ramona then put a hand over her chest as she said, "Some symptoms better. Pain in chest is still pretty bad though. And I'm still freaking tired." Jackson nodded and said, "Okay. Well that doctor we talked to yesterday said your symptoms still aren't bad enough to need to go to the hospital. So just keep resting. I left some books near the alarm clock over there for you to read." Ramona glanced at the books near her as she said, "Sure. Why not?"

Day 5:

Ramona was sitting up in bed reading a book, while Jackson was preparing a meal in the nearby kitchen. Ramona then glanced at Jackson as she said, "So Jackson, you're still not feeling any symptoms?" Jackson glanced at Ramona as he said, "No. I feel fine." Ramona rolled her eyes and said, "Great. The boy who eats nothing but junk food and meat is asymptomatic, while the vegan girl gets ill." Then Jackson said, "Hey. Maybe my immune system is just stronger. My moms works with all sorts of pets that don't wash their hands when they come in from all sorts of homes. Maybe she brought home more germs to me over the years than your mom did, and I just got a more boosted immune system." Ramona looking more annoyed now said, "Jackson. That doesn't make complete sense." Jackson then said, "Hey. The world doesn't make a lot of sense right now." Ramona then laid back on the bed as she said, "Fair enough." Jackson then walked over to Ramona and looked at her as he said, "Ramona... you've been looking really uncomfortable for the last few days. And I don't think it's just the virus." Then Ramona rolled her eyes and said, "I'm uncomfortable because I don't wanna be here." Jackson looking skeptical said, "No. I think it's more than that. I hear you tossing and turning every night, even before you started getting symptoms. Is there anything I can do to make you feel more comfortable?"

Ramona sighed and had an embarrassed look on her face as she said, "It's stupid, really." Then Jackson said, "Hey. I got enough free time to hear something stupid right now." Ramona tilted her head back so she was looking at the ceiling and avoiding eye contact with Jackson as she said, "When I'm alone in my room at night, I usually sleep... in just my underwear. Jackson stood at Ramona's clothes for a moment, and then at Ramona's form that could be seen through the blanket. Then Jackson stood up and said, "I'm gonna finish preparing our meal now." Jackson then walked away as Ramona made a little smile and said, "Okay. Thanks."

Day 6:

Jackson woke up in the middle of the night as he heard Ramona making shivering noises. Jackson stood up and saw Ramona shaking under the bed. Jackson got on his knees near Ramona and said, "Ramona, are you okay?" Ramona turned her head and said, "Cold. I got up and adjusted the temperature to the max. Got all three spare blankets from the closet. Still cold." Jackson then said, "Ramona, it sounds like you've got chills. Now if this gets worse, we can call for help and..." Ramona then grabbed Jackson by the hand and said, "No. Please Jackson. I just need a little more warmth. Could you come into bed with me and help me warm up?" Jackson nodded and said, "Okay." Jackson then slowly brought himself towards the bed. Jackson then moved his head up as he pulled on the blanket and said, "I promise I won't look." Then Ramona said, "Umm... actually... could you strip down to your underwear too. I need body heat as close to me as possible." Jackson looked a little caught off guard, but nodded as he said, "Okay Ramona."
