Hercules kissed his new bride. Megara smirked as he pulled back, and she was amused to see her Wonder Boy blush. As they strode toward Mount Olympus, Megara turned to see a thin man with tanned skin and black hair leaning against a tree, watching them. She glared at him, but that only made him laugh. He pushed off the tree and strode over. Hercules looked up at the noise and gave a cry.

"Merc!" he boomed. They embraced, and the one called Merc smiled at Megara.

"Heya, Megsy," he teased.

"And you are?" she asked, arching an eyebrow.

"This is my older brother," Hercules said. "You know him in another form."

The man grinned then shifted his form. His skin turned light blue with a bright glow about him, and his hair changed into a dark blue mane. She frowned when she realized who he was.

"Hermes," she greeted cautiously.

"Megsy," he teased again then turned to Hercules. "Father said he'd allow it. But she'll have to prove herself in some way to become a goddess. Just like you did."

Megara listened to this with a puzzled look. "What do you mean?"

Hercules clapped his hand on his brother's shoulder then turned to smile at his bride. "You get to come up to Olympus. I had Hermes talk to Father about you getting a chance to become a goddess."

"Really?" Megara asked uneasily.

"Of course," Hermes said. He smiled at her and took her hands. "I have a few ideas. You've got the spunk to become an amazing goddess. And don't you want to spend forever with Herc?"

She nodded. "Wonder Boy is worth it," she said.

"Then we'll work on it. In the meantime, Father has decreed that you are allowed on Olympus. You're only the fourth mortal allowed in a long time."

"Who are the others?"

"Herc!" a male voice called.

Megara turned to see a tall, lanky man sliding down the steep incline. A beautiful pale woman with long pink hair and shining green eyes stood up on the mountain. She looked haughty, but when she saw Megara looking she smiled and inclined her head.

"Glad you could make it, Icarus!" Hercules exclaimed, catching the man as he caught his foot and fell forward.

"Of course, Herc! We couldn't make the wedding. Cassandra had a premonition."

The pink-haired woman joined them. She had a necklace made of beads around her throat, and when she reached Icarus, he took her hand and drew her in for a kiss.

"These are my old friends from high school," Hercules said. He flushed. "The ones I told you about."

Megara smiled. "Oh yeah. I thought you said they weren't dating."

"That was high school," Cassandra said. She tossed her long hair over her shoulder. "Things have changed."

Icarus beamed and gave Cassandra a simpering look. Hercules smiled and wrapped his arm around Megara. "They've been married for three years, Meg. A lot of things have changed."

"Yep," Hermes said. "And we get to talk all about it at the feast to welcome you to Olympus."

Megara looked up the mountain and hugged herself. "What if I can't become a goddess?" she asked uneasily.

Hercules pulled her into a hug. "You'll do fine. If you can withstand Hades, you can handle anything."

"And you'll have some help," Hermes said, gesturing around at them. "Now, come on. The feast is ready and waiting."

Megara hesitated a moment longer then linked her arm with her husband and stepped forward. Hermes stopped her for a moment then smiled.

"Welcome home."

Megara smiled as he conjured a portal and they all stepped through. The sight that met her eyes was more amazing than she'd ever thought. And standing around was her new family. Hercules had told her about the dysfunction that had marked them for so long. And as Zeus stepped forward, she bowed low. He shook his head as he pulled her back to standing for a position.

"No, Meg. You don't have to bow." He paused then swept his arm out at the assembled gods and goddesses. "Welcome to the family, Meg."

Hermes and Hercules stood on either side of Zeus and smiled. They glanced at each other, meeting each other's eyes. Things had improved so much in the last few years, and they proved it as the two of them repeated sincerely.

"Welcome to the family."

They shared a smile then turned to head to the feast.
