Chapter 3: Crumbling Plans

Ragnok's voice had carried across the room causing numerous gasps from everyone around them. The reporters began muttering amongst themselves shocked that this was the reason they were brought in. "I will now begin," the Potter family account manager said:

We, James Fleamont Potter and Lily Jade Potter nee Evans, being of sound mind and body and not under the influence of any outside source such as: Potions, Compulsions, or Imperius Curse. As confirmed by the Gringotts Goblin Healers. Do hereby pen our Last Will and Testament with our account manager, Ragnok Battleborn VI as the Scribe, and Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore as a witness.

First and for most if either of us or both of us meet our end we want to be sure everyone knows who was responsible. On October 22nd, 1981 it was decided that we the Potters would go under the Fidelius Charm to keep ourselves and our son, Harry James Potter, hidden from Voldemort. The person chosen as our Secret Keeper will likely be blamed for betraying us, and we are sure many, if not all, in the wizarding community believe that that traitor is Sirius Orion Black. However, this is not the case.

The entire Wizengamot Council and the reporters all gasped in shock:

In an attempt to throw Voldemort, his Death Eaters, and others off our true Secret Keepers scent. We purposely leaked the information that Sirius Orion Black was our Secret Keeper. Because he was our closest and most trusted friend Sirius and would appear to be the obvious choice and so all who wanted our location would come after him. But this was merely a ruse to keep our real Secret Keeper safe. The one chosen to be our Secret Keeper was one no one would ever truly expect, Peter Pettigrew.

Again, gasps filled the room and murmuring insured:

Peter was a friend from Hogwarts, he was extremely inconspicuous, and would go unnoticed by many back at Hogwarts and within the Order of the Phoenix. Which was why Sirius recommended Peter as the Secret Keeper instead of himself. He told us no one would suspect Peter. At first we wanted to decline and have Sirius be our Secret Keeper, but Sirius refuse and adamantly told us we should chose Peter, who was suspiciously very willing to do this. For those who didn't know Peter personally, He was a coward all through out our time knowing him. Constantly running when ever confronted with possible conflict. So his eagerness to play the role of our Secret Keeper was surprising.

With that said, we would like to reiterate, our Secret Keeper was Peter Pettigrew, not Sirius Black. The spell was done on the night of October 22nd, 1981. Having been performed by Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore so he was fully aware of who our Secret Keeper actually was.

Furthermore, we would like to advise all our loved one who will be named in the provisions of this will. DO NOT TRUST ALBUS DUMBLEDORE!

Albus face blanched when he heard this read out. He immediately began looking for an escape route but when none presented itself he decided to silently attempt to call for his familiar Fawks, to his dismay he saw there was no response. He simply remained in his seat waiting for the oppritunity to interject as the reading continued:

We discovered a year ago, that Albus Dumbledore is 'A Man with a plan' and he will not tolerate anyone deviating from his plan. While in labor with her son, Harry James Potter, Lily Jade Potter nee Evans discovered she had been subjected to multiple Obliviations by Dumbledore. The stress and strain from giving birth unlocked the memories Dumbledore tried to hide. After the delivery she had herself checked for any additional interferences and discovered she had been dosed with Loyalty Potion that were meant to make her loyal towards Albus Dumbledore and had regularly been given them since her fifth year in Hogwarts. She immediately had her husband test himself as well and found out he not only had Loyalty potions in him but also Revulsion Potions that targeted Severus Snape.

In short, NEVER accept any candy or drink Albus Dumbledore offers you it is likely lace with a potion that will allow him to gain your trust and render you unable to refuse his request.

Fury had ignited in multiple people eyes, including Severus, Sirius, and even Albus Dumbledore. They found out…and now their telling everyone…Damn Lily! She was too smart for her own good! He thought. All eyes were on him he couldn't make a single move unless he wanted to be stunned by the multiple Aurors around the room which included his old friend Alastor Moody, who was eyeing him with his magical eye.

We will now list the assets we bequeth to our loved ones:

Should either of us survive, the surviving spouse will receive all assets and Custody of our son: Harry James Potter.

Should neither of us survive all of our assets and titles, aside from the provisions included, will be left to our son: Harry James Potter. The main Potter vault will sealed until Harry reaches his majority at Seventeen where he will take up the Titles left to him. Until such time there is a Trust vault available to him to live off of and fund his education. Until Harry is eleven years old the vault will remain under the supervision or the Potter family Account Manager Ragnok Battleborn VI and which ever guardian Harry is placed with. (Guardianship of Harry James Potter to be discuss at the end)

To Sirius Orion Black,

You have been a true and loyal friend and a loving Godfather to Harry. We leave you 15,000,000 Galleons. We know you don't really need it but if it will help you get out of that abominable flat and make an Honest man out of Remus then its worth it. We also advise you to see a Mind Healer to discover if your memories have been tampered with in anyway. We love you Padfoot. Protect Harry for us!

Sirius Black was sobbing, his face in his hands, "I failed you both…I'm so sorry." He repeated over and over.

To Remus Lupin,

We leave you the Cottage in Canterbury and 25,000,000 Galleons. We also leave you almost a decades amount of Wolfsbane Potion, all the research Lily has conducted on Lycanthropy, and a message from Lily "I was so close to figuring out a cure I know it Remus. Take my research to Severus he will be able to help you solve what I couldn't finish.- Lily"

Remus had already heard all this, but tears were still tricking down his face. Lily had been researching his condition for years and had been brewing him enough potions to hold him over until her research was complete. Oh, my precious Jade, I did not deserve you as a friend. He thought to himself.

To Minerva McGonagall,

For being an amazing Professor and outstanding friend we leave you 15,000,000 galleons, all the research James has required over the years in Transfiguration, and a message from James, "Sorry for all the grey hairs me a Sirius gave you back at Hogwarts. You know you wouldn't have us any other way though. I'm certain the research I have left will make up for a lot of that. Stay fierce Lioness of Gryffindor. -James"

Minerva chuckled a bit tears rolling down her face, You just had to get a joke in didn't you, she thought.

To Severus Snape,

We leave you 10,000,000 Galleons, the keys to Lily's lab in London, and a message from each of them. "My dear Sev. I have left you my lab. Please help Remus finish the research I could not finish. I also want you to know I have never once hated you. You will always be my best friend. Sev you are not only a Potions Master but a Master of Occlumency look into your own mind find the holes. I'm almost positive you have been Imperiused to never look into your own mind! Fight it! Find the holes and remember everything you had forgotten. -Lily"

"Severus, I know I was a prat when we were younger and I truly apologize. I was young, head over heels for Lily, and for some reason picking on her best friend was the only idea I could come up with to get her attention. Again, I'm sorry. I hope one day you will forgive me. -James P.S. If you ever hold a grudge against Harry for things I did to you I will come back and personally haunt you Snivellus!"

Severus stared wide eyed, when Ragnok finished his portion. I have been Imperiused? He glared over to Dumbledore who was refusing to look at him while simultaneously sweating profusely.

To Peter Pettigrew,

You filthy traitor, we leave you with the knowledge that thanks to a special ward Lily herself created your master is probably dead now! Congratulations! Now every Death Eater will know you are responsible for their master's demise. I'd run if I were you.

To Albus Too Many Names to Remember Dumbledore,

We know what you've done for the sake of your 'Greater Good' and have decided to leave you a special ring. This ring has been enchanted, the moment you slip it on you will be Oblivated of all the knowledge you posses. Don't even bother trying to put it on someone else the spell will only activate if you are the one wearing the ring, and will remain dormant until you put it on so you won't be able to mimic the spell. And if you or anyone attempt to use the Cloning charm to make copies you can try to tinker with the ring will automatically appear on YOUR hand and activate. Do yourself a favor old man and go ahead and put the ring on. You will not want to remember this next part. "Enjoy my final prank Marauders!- James"

Also to Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, I, James Fleamont Potter, demand you return the Invisibility cloak that you 'Borrowed' after you severely potioned me up just to get me to agree to 'loan' it to you. Should you refuse this demand I permit any of the Guardians listed below to initiate a Blood Feud between House Potter and House Dumbledore (Excluding Ariana and Aberfoth Dumbledore) Return the Potter's rightful Property or go down in history as the fool who incited a Blood Feud with the Potter Family.

Albus' eyes widened in horror at that last statement. James had threatened him with a Blood Feud, which would render House Dumbledore a traitor to House Potter. Meaning House Dumbledore would be cast out of any Alliance that House Potter had created or sponsored, which was almost all of the Light aligned alliances and many of the Neutral Alliances.

The following is a list of possible Guardian for our son, Harry James Potter, in the event a specific guardian is unable to take custody of our son Guardianship rights would immediately go to the next on the list:

Sirius Orion Black, Godfather to Harry James Potter by Godfather ritual.

Again gasps fill the room. The fact Sirius had performed the Godfather Ritual was further proof Sirius could NEVER betray Harry or his parents. For if he had he would have dropped dead on the spot.

Alice Longbottom, Godmother to Harry James Potter by Godmother Ritual.

Minerva McGonagall, Harry's Honorary Grandmother.

Remus Lupin, Harry's Uncle in everyway but blood.

Andromeda Tonks nee Black, The big sister Lily always wish she had.

Severus Snape, Long time friend and archrival.

Under no circumstances does Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore have ANY kind of claim as Harry James Potter's legal or magical guardian.

Under no circumstances is Harry ever to be sent to live with Lily Jade Potter nee Evans' sister Petunia Dursley nee Evans and her husband Vernon Dursley. Anyone who attempts to place Harry in the Dursley's care (Yes, we know your plan Dumbledork), will be in direct defiance of the Lord and Lady of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter, should one attempt this we hereby give our Allies in our numerous alliances permission to confront the one responsible on our behalf by any means our allies deem necessary.

The goblin then lowered the parchment in front of him and looked on to those in the crowd, "Thus concludes the Last Will and Testament of Lord and Lady Potter." Ragnok steps down from the chair and passes the will to Amelia before going over and sitting in the audience near Sirius.

Albus was just about to stand and voice his 'false' concern of the legitimacy of this Will. When Bagnold smashed her gavel numerous times, "I will have Order in this Court!" she called before drawing her own wand and flicking it in Dumbledore's direction. Albus felt his seat be pulled forward, the barrier in front of him split and he was pulled to the front of the court room stopping at the spot where a Defendant would normally sit, "This court will now proceed with its second order of business of the day: The Trial of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore."
