Chapter 17: An Unwelcome Meeting

"Please explain this immediately Sir Ragnok." Minerva said, "How can a ten year old boy have a Horcrux attached to him?"

"Well you could probably figure it out for yourself when I tell you where its located." The goblin said, "It's hiding behind the boy's scar."

They all gasped, "Voldemort." Severus said, "Of course that explains the Parseltongue!" he said looking back at the Blood Status test, "Voldemort himself was a Parseltongue if a piece of his soul is latched on to Harry then some of Voldemort's abilities could have passed over to the boy."

"That's not the worst of Severus," Minerva said, "If it is a piece of Voldemort's soul then that means the bastard isn't dead!"

Everyone looked at each other with grim expressions when Ragnok cleared his throat, "I'm afraid I'm not done." They all looked back to him, "After detecting the one behind the boy's scare our medical goblins detected additional traces of the same type of magic…six to be exact. One of which is in this very building."

All of their eyes widened even more, "He made six Horcruxes!" Augusta said, "No wonder he looks more like a snake than a human being."

"Indeed," the goblin told them, "I've sent the Medical goblins to fetch the one detected in this building they are bringing it here as we speak."

At that moment a knock came to the door it soon opened and Nagnok walked in, "Brother…we found it."

"Where was it?" Ragnok asked.

"Bellatrix Lestrange's vault. We also found the Gemino Curse had been use on all the items within the vault this is a clear violation of our code of conduct."

"Indeed," he looks to Sirius, "Lord Black as Madam Lestrange's head of her family house all of her assets will be revoked and transferred to you her account shall be closed as well. Not that she was actually using it."

"I don't need her money." Sirius said, "See to it all dark artifacts are destroyed and the assets divided between Augusta Longbottom and Narcissa Black." He turns to Augusta, "I know it could never make up for what my cousin did to your family but please accept this. Think of it as an investment into Neville's future."

Augusta scoffed, "I don't want the bitches money, but Neville could always use it. Fine…I'll accept." She said.

"Now Nagnok…" Ragnok said to his brother, "The artifact."

Nagnok walked forward and pulled a small golden goblet from a small bag placing it before his brother. The others looked it over and Minerva noticed the crest of Helga Hufflepuff engraved on it, "Merlin! This is an ancient relic of one of the founders of Hogwarts!" she exclaimed, "How dare that filth defile it!"

Ragnok waved a hand at the object and it began to float above his desk. He then pulled out a map of England and had the cup float over the map. He stood there with his hands up muttering in Gobbledegook. A blue light circled the cup then it began to fall leaving the cup bare as the light fell onto the map sinking into it. The map glowed with the same blue light until six markers popped up on the map. They immediately noticed one of the marks indicated on the map was the one that was currently before them. Then saw another not too far from that one. They all assumed that was the one attached to Harry.

"Look here." Severus said pointing to a specific spot light, "That is where Malfoy Manor is!" he said.

"Figures," Sirius said then scanned the map his eyes widened, "This one," he pointed to a completely different light, "I'm positive that is Grimmauld Place."

"Oh god," Andromeda said, "Was it your mother or Regulus who put it there?"

"I don't know but I will find out. Kreacher!" he bellowed.

There was a pop and a ugly looking house elf appeared beside Sirius, "You called master?" the elf said in a disgusted tone.

"Tell me now, is there a powerful dark artifact connected to Voldemort sitting in Grimmauld place?" Sirius asked the elf. Kreacher didn't appear to want to answer, "Tell me right now. The only reason I haven't sold that house is cause I didn't want to have to put up with you so I decided to leave you there to care for it. If you don't answer me not only will I sell the house I'll free you too."

The elf gasped, "Yes master, there is. Kreacher is hiding it. Kreacher couldn't destroy like master Regulus had asked him to."

"Wait…Regulus asked you to destroy it?" Sirius asked.

"Yes master…Kreacher helped master Regulus steal it from it's original resting place. It was in a very bad place...undead were everywhere. Master Regulus told Kreacher to destroy it before he…before he was dragged into the lake the creatures came out of." Kreacher was now sobbing, "Kreacher tried…he couldn't."

Sirius eyes widened, his brother, who he had thought was a proud Death Eater died trying to steal one of these Horcruxes. A tear was in his eye, 'I'm sorry I doubted you Regulus.' He thought, then looked back to the elf, "Go get it now!" he demanded the elf who immediately popped away to fetch the item. A moment later the elf returned holding a golden locket with the Slytherin 'S' on it.

Minerva gasped, "Yet another Founder relic. He has no shame!"

Kreacher shakily held the locket out to Sirius, "Be careful its makes you think Dark thoughts sir." The elf said.

"Don't worry Kreacher we will help you destroy as you promised my brother. In return I expect you to keep Grimmauld place PROPERLY maintained and get that horrid picture of my mother our of the foyer. You may keep it in your closet if you wish but I do not want it out in the open. Understood?"

The elf bowed, "Of course master."

"You may leave and the next time I see you I expect you will have properly learned how to speak to you master." The elf nodded and snapped his fingers vanishing. Sirius laid the locket on the desk, "Now we have three."

"What about this one." Remus spoke up point to a location, "Minerva, Hogwarts is unplottable. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this where Hogwarts would be."

"Merlin's beard!" she exclaimed, "There is one of those things in my castle!"

"We'll find it!" Remus he assured her.

"What about this one here?" Augusta point to a part of the map labeled 'Little Hangleton'.

"We should inform Amelia." Remus said, "She'll be able to help us round the rest up."

"Wait isn't one missing?" Andromeda said looking to Ragnok, "You said, aside from the one on Harry, there were six so that makes a total of seven." She gestures to the map, "There's only six on this map…Where is the seventh?"

Ragnok looked at the map and narrowed his eyes, "I'm not sure, but if we destroy the ones we currently have we will be able to get a stronger read on the others."

"So you can destroy them?" Minerva asked, "What about the one attached to Harry?"

"We will have to pull it from the boy that will be difficult and likely painful for him we will need your consent for this." He looked to Minerva who paled at hearing the process could hurt Harry.

"I'd want to talk to him about it first." She said looking down. It broke her heart to think about Harry in pain.

The group summoned Amelia Bones who arrived promptly. She had been surprised to see all of Harry's named guardians there but when she learned the reason why her face paled. Sirius explained their plan to her about finding all the Horcruxes and destroying them before Voldemort could return she readily agreed to help stating she would send Aurors to Little Hangleton and Malfoy Manor. She had been a bit pleased at this development she had been wanting to slap Lucius with a charge ever since she had learned what he had done to his own wife, and now she had a very good reason to.

Amelia left to prepare and Sirius went to get Harry so they could discuss with him what needed to be done. He found them in Flourish and Blotts. He smirked a bit spotting Harry and Hermione looking over a large tome while Draco read a copy of 'Quidditch Through the Ages'. Sirius called them to get their attention and everyone came over. Narcissa walked up after putting a books back on the shelf, "Is it time to go Sirius?"

"Not quite dear." He looks down at Harry, "We need to go back over to Gringotts…Grandma is there and needs to talk about what we found out today." Harry nods. The Sirius turns to the Grangers, "I know your very busy people but this is rather important would you mind accompanying us a bit longer?"

"Not at all." Emma said. "Right dear."

"Its no problem." Daniel replied.

With that settled the group made their way back up to Gringotts, but as they ascended the steps someone none of them wanted to see was blocking their way. Lucius Malfoy was standing at the top of the steps to Gringotts, "Well hello there." He smiled.

Draco's eyes filled with a cold fury. He recognized then man only because they looked so similar, he hated that fact. This was the bastard who hurt his mother and Draco himself resembled him. 'I must be a constant reminder of what he did to her any time she looks at me.' The boy thought causing him to get even angrier.

Lucius saw Draco glaring and smiled, "Ah, Draco…I'm glad to see my son is doing well. Though we Malfoys always seem to survive even the harshest of environments."

"I'm not your son!" Draco barked to the man, "My name is Draco Arcturus Black. I have no connection to you."

Lucius narrowed his eyes at the boy but Draco did not flinch in the slightest he simply glared back at him, "I see." Lucius says, "Well you've turned my own son against me. Of course, that is the Black Family way isn't it." He looked to Sirius, "Sons betraying their fathers."

Sirius stepped up, "Draco is now my son and Heir. You have no claim on him, and I believe I told you what would happen should you ever come near him or Narcissa again." Sirius' eyes were burning with hatred.

Harry wanted to glare at the man as well but he saw his Aunt Cissy trembling and gently took her hand. The woman looked down at the boy who smiled at her, "Its okay." He whispered, "We'll protect you." Her shaking eased up at this and she smiled back.

Lucius had saw Narcissa's shaking and smirk realizing she was still afraid of him, "You can't blame this on me I didn't purposely seek them out I had just left a meeting with an investor and happened upon you all here. Oh by the way how is that House Elf I sent you? Did he die? I gave him quiet the beating."

"Dobby is just fine." Harry said now glaring at Lucius. Dobby himself had told Harry how he became Harry's personal elf after Harry had asked him. Harry had been furious when he heard how the small elf had been treated by his former master, "He's my personal elf and he is in perfect health."

Lucius sneered at the boy, "Pity. I had hoped he'd dropped dead on your door step."

The Grangers gasped at this. They weren't quite sure what was going on but they could deduce from the conversation that this man was Draco's biological father, meaning he was Narcissa's ex husband, and none of their companions like this man in any way. Daniel decided to step forward, "Ok I think its time you got out of our way?" he told the man.

Lucius eyed him for a moment, "What is a muggle doing-" he then spotted Hermione who flinched as his gaze fell on her. Emma immediately put herself between her daughter and this man's eyes then Daniel moved to block Emma from Lucius vision. The blond man's lip curled in disgust, "Taking in muggleborns now? How far House Black has fallen."

"I assure you these people are much better company than you." Narcissa spat.

Lucius glared, the first words she had spoken since spotting him and she was insulting him. He had thought he had beaten her defiance out of her. In his anger Lucius pulled his wand from his walking cane which caused everyone eyes to widen, but before he could cast a single spell, he felt a massive fist hit right in the nose. Then his attacker grabbed his wrist, twisted it forcing him to drop his wand, and finally he was thrown over his attacker's shoulder and slammed into the ground knocking the wind out of him.

Lucius was gasping for air as he looked around to see who had done this to him. Sirius had positioned himself in front of the women and children, but he was looking shocked yet also pleased at the person standing to his left. Lucius turned his head and his eyes widened as he saw the muggle man standing over him cleaning off his glasses.

"You wizards are too cocky." Daniel Granger said as he slipped his glasses back on, "You think just cause you have that wand you're invincible." He then knelt beside Lucius with a smirk, "But if the one you're attacking knows what you can do and what your weapon is, even a 'muggle' like myself can put you on your ass." He leaned closer and whispered, "Remember that, oh and the next time I see you looking at my wife or daughter with that expression," in a swift motion there was a large Swiss army knife pressed to Lucius' neck, "I won't just put you on you ass. Are we clear?"

Lucius couldn't speak he simply stared at the man wide eyed before giving him nod. Daniel smiled giving Lucius two firm pats on his cheek calling him a 'Good boy' as if her were a dog. The man slips his knife back into the holster in his boot then stood turning to the others. Sirius had a big fat grin on his face, "Well…I see why Emma married you Daniel." He said, "If we weren't a taken men and you swung that way I might've gone after you myself."

Daniel laughed heartily, "Thank you…I think." He said as he looked to his wife.

Emma sighed, "Ever the valiant soldier." She said, "You just won't give up those knives will you?" she scolded her husband.

He smirk, "Not a chance, especially now I've pissed of an asshole wizard with a superiority complex. Might have to carry one at all times now." He said.

Harry walked up to Daniel looking up at him with starry eyes, "Mr. Granger you're so cool can you teach me how to do that?" he asked.

"Of course." He spots Draco who is also looking at him as if he were a hero, "I'll happily teach you too Draco but I believe we have people waiting on us inside."

With that said everyone made their way up the steps, stepping over Lucius as they did. Draco stopped and looked down at the man. Lucius' nose was pouring out blood, "You got off easy today." The boy said glaring at him, "Come near my mother again and I'll end you myself." Then like the others he steps over Lucius and makes his way to his mother taking her hand. He vowed then he would get stronger. Strong enough to always keep his mother safe and protect his friends.

A/N: HAHAHAHA Lucius got his ass BEAT! Oh my god I got such pleasure out of writing that scene. Oooooo! It was so good to have him get his ass handed to him by one of the muggles he so despised. Draco showed incredible bravery standing up to defend his mother from the man who hurt her. And wasn't Harry so sweet to comfort the woman who was trembling at the sight of her abuser. Still though the best part of that whole scene was Mr. Granger judo flipping Malfoy onto his uptight ass. God Yes!

Up Next: The goblins proceed to remove the Horcrux from Harry's scar.
