This is the short epilogue. Thanks again, everyone, for all the reviews, likes, and follows. I don't have a current SG-1 story in the works. You never know when I'll get inspired again. I hope you enjoy the ending.
Sam and Jack looked at each other, smiling brightly, as they looked up at Cinderella's castle. I can't believe it's already been five years. "Happy Anniversary," Jack said and kissed Sam lightly.
"Anniversary? It's my birthday!" the little girl looked at him.
"Right, it's your 4th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary," Jack claimed. They were picking up the little girl who had been standing out their feet.
"You're the best Anniversary present we could ever ask for," Sam claimed. The little girl smiled, then quickly pointed to a big Mickey Mouse Ballon, asking if she could have the blue one he favorite color.
Libby was Daniel and Deb's oldest child, who happened to be born on Jack and Sam's first anniversary. Daniel was carrying their sleeping son Dylan who just turned 2. Deb had secretly told Sam she was pregnant again about three months along. Sam wasn't even sure if Daniel knew. She wasn't sure how Deb and Daniel did it, but the kids had been all over the world. Deb and Daniel had agreed early on about how they were going to add a child to the mix. Daniel went with Deb when he could, but frequently he was helping at the SGC, out to other worlds, or researching in his office. Although the SGC was no place for a child, Lilly and Dylan were often seen in and out of Daniel and Deb's office, and everyone looked the other way.
SG-1 was no more. Sam has been back and forth between Atlantis and the Prometheus. When she was on Earth, she was still studying the latest tech brought by other teams. Jack was in charge of the SGC, but Sam had directly reported to General Hammond in Washington. Daniel went through the gate more often than Sam did now of days, but he was selective. Jack and Sam had been talking more and more about the possibility of starting a family, especially after Lilly even more with Dylan and now Daniel and Deb with baby number three. She wanted what they had. She wanted to take her own children to visit Cinderella's Castle, go to the beach, see the Grand Canyon. She wanted her kids to grow up with kids their age that would understand having parents who work at a top-secret government agency. Teal'c would come to visit often, but he was all over the galaxy helping free Jaffa. He had just introduced them to his first grandchild. It was hard to believe how old the man really was. Sam thought about how old they were all getting, and she wanted nothing more than to have a baby before time ran out.
Sam and Jack had married 5 weeks after returning from Disney World. No one was exactly shocked by the engagement, but the wedding date was a different story. Her dad's myriad of emotions was something to behold, he was pissed that he was finding 3 days before their wedding, but once everything was explained to him, he laughed, happy for his daughter. They had a small wedding on top of the mountain. Jack wore his dress blues, and Sam was in a lovely champagne-colored wedding dress; the whole dress was beaded and extremely heavy. She had shown Jack the second she found on a weekend in Nevada to visit him. He shook his head at the fact that Sam had just shown him the dress, and he told her it didn't matter what she wore. Sam's dad walked her into the clearing, the ceremony sweet and straightforward, the whole thing lasting about 20 minutes. They all went back into the SGC a massive celebration with a 5 tier wedding cake with almond icing. Everyone in the SGC was given a big piece, and there was still some leftover. When Janet suggested she takes the top to freeze, Sam refused.
"They're doomed." Janet joked.
Their honeymoon was on hold, and they went about 6 months later. There were several thoughts of where to go, but finally, they ended up in Hawaii. Neither really had wanted the predictable honeymoon, but when General Hammond himself had given the plane tickets after a mandatory trip to Washington, the 2 couldn't refuse. Sam loved the beach and seeing Jack without a shirt 80% of the trip was definitely a plus.
Deb and Daniel announced their pregnancy after Deb could no longer hide it and decided to get married similarly as Jack and Sam on the mountain top. Deb was in a flowy white dress. Janet joked that SG-1 or former SG-1 would cause the whole SGC to become diabetic as she cut a similar cake for Deb and Daniel. When Lilly was born, the entire group instantly fell in love with her, and then Dylan was somehow even better. It was exciting to see that for the first time in years, they were living for themself. They never felt better.
When they got to the hotel, Animal Kingdom Lodge, the group had adjoining rooms. Sam and Jack walk out to their balcony, a Giraffe and Zebra within eyesight.
"Deb's pregnant," Sam said quietly.
Jack's eyebrows shot up.
"Just how many are they planning to have?" Jack asks.
Sam smiled.
"Well, they're still young; I forget how much younger Daniel is. We just celebrated his 36th birthday."
"I know," Jack claimed.
"I want to retire," Sam claimed.
"Sam, are you sure?" Jack asks.
"Mmmhmm, I can contract like Daniel, not be in so much danger, start a family," Sam claims.
"Jack smiled."
"No time like the present." He claimed to kiss her lips and leading her back to the bedroom.
THE END
