Chapter 8: Ghost Boy Meets the Girl of Steel

"So bored…" Danny complained, lying on the billboard, looking at the clouds. "Where are the bad guys when you need them?"

It's been almost a week since the last ghost attack, involving giant meat monsters and oven monsters. Aside from that, the days been incredibly dull. It didn't help that both Sam and Tucker were out of town. Sam went to France to visit her uncle while Tucker and his parents went to a family reunion.

"Please something happen," Danny groaned. "Something. Anything. I'll even take Box Ghost."

As soon as he said that, he heard a loud explosion in the middle of the street. Surprised, he looked towards the source of the sound and saw smoke rising.

"Finally!" Danny shouted as he flew towards the commotion. "Some action!"

Danny flew towards the commotion and stopped in front of a jewelry store. Everyone watched as the trunk in front of the store was blown across the street. In front of the store was a woman in a black tight suit showing some of her body. She had light blue skin and spikey hair, her entire body crackling with electricity.

"To think that this rare beauty is in a lame town like this?" the light lady said, holding a light blue diamond on her hand, looking at it with a mixture of awe and wickedness. "This must be my lucky day."

"Who's that?" Danny mused as he watched the lady fire electricity towards the coming police cars. He watched as the cars exploded. "Well, whoever she is, time to show her not to mess with my home!"

The lady looked at the downed policemen, smirking wickedly. She raised her crackling hands and was about to finish the police off when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and saw no one. Confused, she turned back to the police and was punched on the face.

"Ouch!" Danny shouted, shaking his hand, which was numbing. "Man! You pack quite a shock!"

The lady looked at Danny and growled.

"Well, if it isn't the famous Danny Phantom," she spat.

"The one and only," Danny said, looking at the person in front of him. "And who are you supposed to be?"

"Call me Livewire," Livewire said, electricity crackling through her body.

"Okay Livewire," Danny said as he pulled out the diamond that was on Livewire's hand a minute ago. "What do you want with this pretty thing?"

"How did you?!" Livewire exclaimed as she looked at her hands with wide eyes.

"A trick I learned from a friend," Danny replied with a shrug. "Now what do you want with this?"

"That's none of your business, brat!" Livewire screeched.

"It is when you attacked my city, hag!"

"What did you call me?!"

"What? Are you getting so old you're going deaf?" Danny taunted.

Livewire growled and fired at Danny, who blocked it with a shield. Danny retaliated with a Ghost Ray, but Livewire quickly jumped aside.

"You're good, brat," Livewire said, looking at Danny. "Much better than the twit the media keeps portraying about."

"Who are you calling a twit!?" Danny exclaimed angrily.

Livewire saw the Danny was distracted and fired. Before the halfa could react, a volt of lighting was shot towards his chest, blasting him across the street. He fell to the ground hard, the diamond dropping to the ground.

Danny's entire body was numb, he couldn't lift a finger. He slowly lifted his head and saw Livewire picking up the diamond before walking towards Danny.

"Wow, I guess you really are a twit," Livewire taunted, causing the numb Ghost Boy to glare at her. She stepped on his chest, causing him to grunt as she lifted her hand.

"I wonder if there's an afterlife for you," she said with a sick grin. "Let's find out!"

Danny watched helplessly as her hand went towards his face, crackling with blue electricity. Just as the hand was a hair length away, a blur slammed into Livewire. The only thing Danny managed to spot was a familiar S-shield.

"Superman?" Danny called as he felt the numb slowly vanishing. He sat up and his jaw dropped. In front of him was a girl about a year older than him. She had blond hair that was kept by a black headband, a small red cape, white gloves, a blue miniskirt, red boots, and a white shirt with the S-shield on it. "Wow…"

That was the only word he had in mind as he watched the blond girl make a crater to the place Livewire was standing a second ago.

"Uh…thanks," Danny said as he stood up, stretching his numb joints. The girl turned around, revealing light blue eyes.

"No problem," she said. "So you're the Ghost Boy I've been hearing about."

"That's me," Danny said. "And I'm not a twit!"

"…Okay…I'm Supergirl…" the girl said before she ducked to avoid a lightning bolt.

The two looked and saw Livewire using the diamond in surprise.

"It's more powerful than I thought," she said, her entire body glowing. "With this, not even the Man of Steel can stop me!"

The two teens looked at each other before they nodded. Danny fired at Livewire while Supergirl charged with both fists raised. The ray was blocked by Livewire's own attack and Supergirl was blasted by another volt of electricity. Danny charged, swinging his fist, which Livewire caught. She then blasted Danny towards a fruit stand, breaking the crate of apples.

"It would love to stick around, but I have a town to take over!" Livewire shouted before she disappeared in a flash of light.

Danny groaned as he stood up from the apples, covered in splinters, juice and mushed apple. He looked towards Supergirl, who stood up, shaking her head.

"Well that could have gone better," Danny muttered as he turned intangible to clean himself. He then walked towards Supergirl, who was a little dazed.

"My head…she wasn't that strong before," Supergirl muttered.

"Who was she, anyway?" Danny asked, confused. "And are you related to Superman?"

"I'm his cousin."

"He has cousin? So much for the Last Kryptonian," Danny said. "So who was the crazy light bulb?"

"She's Livewire," Supergirl replied as the two flew up to avoid the civilians. "I was chasing her from Metropolis after she attacked a jewelry store. She kept saying the Lightning's Eye…"

"Lightning's Eye…" Danny mused said before he thought about something. "Hey, where's Superman?"

"He's in space," Supergirl replied casually.

"And he didn't invite me?" Danny said, pouting. "Some friend he is. So what's Livewire doing here?"

"The Lightning's Eye was transferred here for safekeeping," Supergirl replied as they landed on top of a building.

"Really? Transferring a very powerful object in a town filled with ghosts?" Danny said with a deadpanned expression. "That's a smart move."

He reached his communicator and contacted Batman and asked the Dark Knight to do some research on the Lightning's Eye. After that, Supergirl and Danny Phantom started searching for Livewire, looking for places she might be in.

"So…what's it like being a ghost?" Supergirl asked suddenly.

"…I don't know," Danny said, shrugging. "The flying and the phasing through solid stuff is cool…what's it like being an alien?"

"…The same, I guess…minus the phasing through stuff…" Supergirl replied.

"So where should we look?" Danny asked. "And why would that crazy light bulb want to take over my town?"

"She probably got tired of getting beaten every time so she decided to take over this town," Supergirl said.

"But why this town?" Danny asked, confused.

"Maybe because there's no heroes here," Supergirl guessed.

"Hey! I'm a hero!"

"Well you're not really well known," Supergirl said.

"Oh…so she thinks I'm weak, eh…" Danny said, laughing a bit.

"I'm gonna make her regret that," he added, cracking his knuckles in a menacing way. "I'll show her who's a twit!"

"…You're really sensitive…" Supergirl murmured.

The communicator in Danny's ear beeped, causing them to stop as Danny answered the call.

"Hey Bats, got some info I could use?" Danny asked.

"The Lightning's Eyes is an ancient tool used to harness the power of electricity," Batman said. "If Livewire has it, then it could by bad news."

"How bad?"

"She can be as strong as Superman…and crazy as the Joker…"

"So how do we stop it?" Danny asked as he watched the sun setting.

"You need to contain it in a vast amount of water."

"Like a swimming pool?"

"Something like that," Batman agreed.

"So all we have to do is find her-," Danny said before he heard an explosion. He and Supergirl looked at the source and saw a thick cloud of smoke coming from the town's power plant. "…I'm gonna have to call you back."

"The power plant…why didn't we think of that?" Supergirl asked.

"Well I am a C minus student…" Danny admitted, scratching the back of his neck.

The two quickly flew towards the power plant and saw a lot of unconscious policemen and workers on the ground. Inside, electricity seemed to be gathering in one of the machines.

"This can't be good…" Danny said as he and Supergirl flew in the building.

Inside, they saw Livewire standing on top of a giant generator, holding the Lightning's Eye on top of her head.

"So much power!" Livewire said, her eyes glowing brightly. "With this, Amity Park will be mine!"

"Not on my watch, you crazy light bulb!" Danny shouted as he tackled Livewire, causing Livewire to drop the diamond.

Livewire was surprised, but she quickly shook it off and fired at Danny, who quickly jumped away to avoid getting shocked again.

"Well, it seems the twit is back," Livewire said with a sneer.

"I am not a twit!" Danny shouted.

"And he's not alone!" Supergirl exclaimed as she tackled Livewire from behind. Livewire gave out a yelp as she smashed through the walls. "Quick! Get the diamond!"

Danny nodded and grabbed the diamond and flew through the roof.

"Vast amount of water…vast amount of water…" Danny said as he looked around the town and saw the beach. "That could work…"

He dashed off towards the ocean when he heard a large explosion behind him. Danny turned his head and saw Livewire flying towards him, looking insane.

"GIVE ME THE LIGHTNING'S EYE!" she screeched.

"Come and get it, you old hag!" Danny said, firing a raspberry at her. He yelped as a lightning bolt passed through his shoulder. "Ha! You missed!"

Livewire growled and fired again, this time, she was almost close on hitting him.

"…Maybe I should shut up…" Danny said as he started flying faster.

He yelped again when he felt his hair getting grazed by another bolt of lightning.

"Hey! I didn't say anything yet!" Danny shouted as he increased his speed. "What's your problem? Is it that time of the month!?"

Danny really needed to know when to shut up as another bolt of electricity almost hit his heart. He looked in front of him and saw that he was almost there. Before he could think, he was suddenly tackled to the ground, his entire body getting shocked.

He screamed in pain as he fell to the sandy beach. At least he made it to the ocean. Now if he could move.

Livewire stepped on his back, stopping him from moving. He grunted as Livewire grabbed the diamond from Danny's hand.

"Sorry, but this is mine," she said as she kicked Danny in the back. "How about you go and play in the sand?"

She stepped on Danny's head, burying his face in the sand. Danny growled and turned intangible, phasing through the ground. Surprised, Livewire looked around for the white-haired teen, only to sink in the sand.

"What!" she screeched as she found herself neck deep in the sand.

Danny appeared beside her and grabbed the diamond and flew up in the sky.

"Give that back, boy!" Livewire screamed as she struggled to get out of the sand.

"And here's the pitch!" Danny shouted as he threw the diamond towards the ocean, using his supernatural strength to make a good hundred yards before it sank in the ocean. There was a big explosion "And the crowd goes wild!"

He was cut off by his self-cheering when heard an explosion below him. He looked down and saw Livewire with a very angry expression.

"I AM GOING TO FRY YOU UP, YOU TWIT!"

She was about to fire, only for a pair of small, strong arms to grab her by the shoulder. Livewire turned around and saw a smiling Supergirl, who looked like she had her hair done with an electric socket.

"How about you take a dip to cool off?" Supergirl asked sweetly. Before Livewire could react, Supergirl threw her to Danny's direction, who grinned evilly.

"And this is for calling me a twit, you crazy old hag!" Danny shouted as he punched Livewire towards the water.

Livewire screamed as all the electricity she had in her body exploded as she touched the water. Danny and Supergirl covered their eyes as the water exploded. When they look, they saw Livewire unconscious on the water.

"Who's a twit now?!" Danny exclaimed.

"Let it go, already," Supergirl said.

Later…

Supergirl and Danny Phantom were on the air, watching as Livewire, who was on a stretcher, was placed in a police truck.

"Today's sure been interesting," Danny commented with his arms cross. "Nice hair by the way."

Supergirl glared at him while he chuckled. Her hair was still sticking in every direction. She tried to comb it, but it was no use.

"Laugh it up," Supergirl said, still glaring. "Sooner or later, you're going to be the one with the weird hair."

"My hair's already weird," Danny said.

"…You sure are interesting," Supergirl said with a smile as she started flying away. "We should hang out sometimes."

"Sure," Danny said with a grin. "See you around, Supergirl."

Danny watched as Supergirl flew away towards Metropolis.

"Man…for a super powered girl, she sure is cute," Danny commented before he flew away, unaware that Supergirl heard him. The Kryptonian grinned slightly, thinking how interesting it will be to see Danny Phantom again.

Yes! I finally did it! I done! Sorry for the delay, it's just I've been feeling less motivated lately…also, there are new fanfics that I can't help but read. Sorry about that. Anyway, hope you guys like the chapter, even though it's kinda short…well, short in my standards.
