Finally, after waiting for so long, a Danny Phantom episode! Let's see what this chapter can do! In this chapter, other characters in the DC world will appear, so don't be surprised! Well, let's rock and roll!
Chapter 13: Pirate Radio
It was just a quiet night in Amity Park. No traffic, no music. Just peaceful, undisturbed silence. Suddenly, an eerie green pirate ship was flying across the town. It was being manned by Ghost pirates, and leading them was a small boy dressed like a pirate captain, complete with a skeleton parrot, a hook hand and a peg leg.
"Fire!" the boy exclaimed as he pointed his sword at the town's electronics store.
The ghosts aimed their cannons at the store and they fired. Suddenly, a green ray hit the cannon balls, causing them to explode in the air. They looked up in shock and saw Danny Phantom flying towards them. Phantom fired at the ship, causing it to rock a bit.
"Hey! Cut it out!" the ghost kid exclaimed.
"Isn't it passed your bed time, peewee?" Phantom asked, his hands glowing green.
"It's not peewee! It's Youngblood!" the kid exclaimed indignantly. "Uh…I mean…Argh! My name be Youngblood, matey! And I'm here to take your booty!"
"How about I kick your booty instead?" Phantom asked before he fired at the ship. He managed to shake to ship a bit.
"Grr…Fire!" Youngblood exclaimed as he pointed at Phantom. The ghost pirates aimed their cannons at Phantom and fired. Phantom just fired at the balls, making sure they won't hit the town. He destroyed about six of them and the entire area was covered in smoke.
"Ha! Is that the best you can do?" Phantom taunted before a cannonball hit him on the gut and towards the electronics store. The cannonball exploded, creating a big hole in the store. Phantom groaned in pain, holding his gut. "Okay…that one was good…ow…"
He stood up as the pirates started stealing the electronics in the store: radios, treadmills, microphones, satellite dishes and record players.
"Now get those booties on my ship!" Youngblood ordered as he faced Phantom. "I'll take care of this…this…uh…"
"Scallywag?" the parrot suggested, sounding like an English gentleman.
"Yeah!" Youngblood exclaimed. "I mean…Argh! That scallywag!"
Youngblood charged at Phantom, swinging his hook. Phantom dodge the hook several times before he grabbed Youngblood by the wrist.
"Don't you know kids shouldn't play with sharp objects," Phantom said as he lifted the struggling Youngblood up. "Now be a good boy and go to your room."
He was suddenly attacked by the skeleton parrot, causing him to yelp as he dropped the kid and started swatting the bird off him.
"Get off me, you featherless turkey!" Phantom exclaimed.
"I am a parrot! Not a turkey!" the parrot said in an indignant voice. As Phantom tried to get the skeleton bird off him, the pirates finished raiding the store and started flying away.
The parrot finally got off him and flew towards the ship. Phantom saw the pirates escaping and flew after them. Youngblood noticed him and ordered his goons to fire their nets. Two of them went to use their two net launchers and fired at Phantom.
The halfa saw them and managed to dodge the first net, but he got caught by the second net. Phantom was hanging on the side of the building, struggling to get it off. He then watched as the pirate ship disappeared in the sky.
Phantom growled as he blasted the net off him. He turned and saw the now damaged and looted electronics shop.
"Great," Phantom muttered as he could hear Batman's reprimanding him for not calling backup. "Can't wait for tomorrow…"
He sighed as he flew back to his home. He was too tired of this, and was in too much in pain.
The Next Day…
Danny Fenton groaned as he and his friends walked through the hallways, feeling sore. He was still aching from that cannonball.
"You okay there, Danny?" Tucker asked his friend, seeing him wince.
"Fine," Danny said with a groan. "Nothing some pain reliever wouldn't fix…and what is up with this music?"
It was now that he realized the evil sound coming from the school's speakers. It made him want to pull out his ears, and from what he can see in his schoolmates' expressions, he wasn't the only one.
"It's the school's new broadcast radio," Sam replied. "We're actually going to the gym for the DJ Auditions."
"Hope whoever gets pick won't play this," Danny muttered as they all gathered in the gym. Once the gathered, they saw Mr. Lancer in the announcer's box, being the DJ. He seemed to be enjoying the music, seeing the smile on his face.
"There is nothing more relaxing than listening to this new hip music, 'Sounds to Relax to Vapor Drone' after we installed the new DJ program in our school," Mr. Lancer with a smile, which then disappeared. "But I know you kids would want to 'get down and funky' with your music."
Everyone shared a look at his weird choice of words, but decided not to comment.
"So the board have decided to let you students run for DJ," Mr. Lancer continued. "Anyone can audition."
"Really?" Danny said before he dashed up the announcer's box and stepped in faster than they can see. "Where do I sign up?"
He ran up the controls and grabbed the headphones from Lancer's hands before placing them on him.
"Like you can ever be a DJ, Fentoad," Dash taunted.
"Oh yeah?" Danny said before coughing. "What do we want!?"
No one said anything, they just stared at Danny with deadpanned expressions.
"Uh…this is the part where you say 'good music'," Danny said before he coughed. "Now what do we want!?"
"…Good music?" Tucker and Sam said.
Danny was suddenly pushed aside by Dash, who grabbed the mic.
"What do we want!?" he exclaimed.
"Good music!" the students exclaimed.
"When do we want it!?"
"Now!"
Danny grumbled as he stood up from the ground.
"That's how you become a DJ, Fentonio," Dash said as he grabbed the headphones from Danny's head. "You need people to listen to you, something you can't do."
Danny didn't say anything, he just stood up and walked out the box. While he did that, he used his intangibility to make Dash lose his pants, revealing teddy bear briefs. He smirked when no one noticed what he did.
After school was over, and Dash finally realized he had his pants down, Danny was walking back to his house. He needed to drop his stuff before heading out to the Watchtower.
"At least I won't hear that awful noise again," Danny said as he entered his house. He froze up when that torturous sound reached his ears. "You have got to be kidding me."
He walked towards the living room and saw his parents and Jazz all having the same goofy look as they did their work. Danny looked around and saw the radio playing the song. He slowly made his way towards the radio and touched the knob.
"Danny!" they all exclaimed, surprising the teenager as they all grabbed the radio and got it out of Danny's reach. "Don't touch that!"
"Oh come on, what's so great about this song?" Danny complained.
"It's relaxing," Maddie said with a sigh.
"Yes," Jazz said with a smile. "I never felt so relax before."
"The only time I felt this relax was when talking about ghosts," Jack said as he continued doing his job.
"Well great," Danny said a sigh as he walked up to his room. "If you need me, I'll be upstairs, sleeping."
No one seemed to hear him as he made his way upstairs. He didn't noticed how their eyes released a faint glow.
Once he was in his room, he placed his backpack on the bed, covered it in the blankets along with a pillow and a basketball with a black wig. Once his decoy was done, he turned Ghost and flew out the house.
"At least I won't hear that music in the Watchtower," he said as he turned intangible and flew up to space as fast as he can.
He flew passed the clouds and then out to space. It was always a marvel be outside the atmosphere. He would have taken a deep breath if there was air in space. He spotted his destination just a few feet away.
He flew towards the Watchtower and grabbed his security code. He stopped in front of the door and pressed the button, letting them know he was entering. Once he was inside, he turned tangible and sighed.
Suddenly, he heard it again. That horrible, torturous music.
"This cannot be happening!" he exclaimed as he flew towards the control center. In it, he saw Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern having the same goofy look on their faces. It really freaked Danny out that these three had that same goofy grin.
"What dimension is this!?" Phantom exclaimed in horror. "And when did the Watchtower played music?"
He looked around the room a record player near the speakers. Phantom flew towards it and tried to turn it off, only to be stopped by a green gate.
"What do you think you're doing?" Green Lantern asked as he levitated the recorder away.
"Saving my mind," Phantom said as he flew towards them. "C'mon guys, please let change the music!"
"No," Hawkgirl said with a protective glare. "I never felt so relax before."
"Indeed," J'onnz said. "Earth music is very…relaxing."
"You guys are scaring me," Phantom said, stepping away from the three. "And I'm a Ghost. Look, is there anything for me to do? Building on fire? Bank robbery? Cat on a tree? Seriously, I'll even take that!"
Suddenly, the doors opened and Phantom turned to see Flash walking in, covering his ears.
"What are you guys listening?" Flash asked, looking at them incredulously. "It makes me wanna sleep."
"Finally!" Phantom exclaimed, raising his arms up in relief. "Another sane person!"
Flash looked around the room and saw the looks on Hawkgirl, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.
"…Did I miss something?" Flash asked, looking at Phantom.
"It's the music," Phantom said, pointing at the recorder. "It's evil."
He gave the recorder an evil look before turning back to Flash.
"So, wanna get out of here? Please say yes," Phantom said to Flash.
"Sure," Flash said with a shrug. "Better than falling asleep."
"Great! Let's go," Phantom exclaimed before flying out the room. Flash shrugged and dashed after him. As they left, J'onnz winced a bit as he held his head. His eyes glowed before he had the same relax look on his face.
Metropolis…
"Why?" Phantom groaned in annoyance as he looked up. "Why do you enjoy torturing me?"
Once again, 'Sounds to Relax' was playing in every radio in Metropolis. Every adult had the same goofy look on their faces. And the worst part, criminals were also enjoying the music and choose to do nothing but listen to it all day long. He was currently on top of a building, glaring at the sky.
"Well, I gotta go anyway," Flash said after running around the city to look for trouble. "Central City might be in trouble."
"Sure," Phantom said in a tired tone. "I'll see you later."
Flash disappeared in a scarlet blur. Phantom just groaned and fell flat on his back. He was not safe at home, at the Watchtower, at everywhere. This music was more haunting than the Box Ghost. He groaned as he rubbed his eyes.
When he looked up, a pair of blue eyes were looking at him. He screamed, causing the girl to scream as well. When Phantom stood up, he looked at the person and saw Supergirl holding her chest.
"Geez, you scared me!" Supergirl said as she landed in front of Phantom.
"You scared me first!" Phantom exclaimed.
"So what are you doing here?" Supergirl asked once they calmed down.
"Eh you know," Phantom said with a shrug. "Trying to escape the un-escapable."
"The music?" Supergirl guessed. The music was also driving her crazy.
"Why is the world so cruel?" Phantom asked before he looked up. "Is this punishment from those old people who hate teenage music? If it is, I'm so sorry!"
"Okay, no need to be dramatic," Supergirl said with a deadpanned look. "I'm going to Gotham to see a friend of mine. Wanna come?"
"Yes! Please!" Phantom exclaimed. "Anything to get away from 'Sound to Relax'. I am this close from ripping my ears off!" he used his fingers to make half an inch. "I swear, it's like this music is a virus."
"More like a parasite," Supergirl said as they started flying towards Gotham City. "So how are you?"
"Eh, it's been good," Phantom replied before looking at Supergirl. "Fighting villains can really pass the time."
"Yes it does," Supergirl agreed. "So, how's it like working with the big leagues?"
"Not bad," Phantom said with a shrug. "I mean some of them are serious, but not bad."
"So…" Supergirl said with a sly look. "Any chance you can…invite me to join?"
"Why?" Phantom asked, looking at Supergirl. "Didn't Superman invited you?"
"He said I'm too young," Supergirl said with a huff. "Said that it's too dangerous for me."
"Dangerous for you?" Phantom said with a deadpanned expression. "You have skin made of steel."
"Exactly!" Supergirl exclaimed. "And it's not like every bad guy has a chunk of Kryptonite in their pockets."
"Unless they're rich," Phantom commented. "Or crazy. Or both."
"So…you think you can recruit me?" Supergirl asked as she moved closer to Phantom. "It'll be a really big favor."
"Yeah," Phantom said, trying not to blush. "As much as I love another teen in the League, I love it more if Superman try not to hurt me."
"Scaredy cat," Supergirl said as she crossed her arms.
Gotham City…
"Hey Supergirl," Phantom asked as they stood on top of a tower. "Do you know where to hit people on the head to get amnesia?"
They were currently in Gotham, the baddest, dangerous city in the states, and it was peaceful. The air was not dirty, people were not shouting, the roads were clean and the city was safe, somethings that are the complete opposite of Gotham City.
The music 'Sound to Relax' was playing everywhere; radios, stereos, cars, cellphones, T.V.s, etc. And like every adult, they had the same goofy grins on their faces.
"Just follow me," Supergirl said as she dragged the depressed Ghost Boy by the arm. "I'm sure we can find some trouble here."
Supergirl dragged him to the bank, the jewelry stores, the museum, Black Gate Prison, even Arkham Asylum. But no trouble. Every adult was listening to the brainwashing music. Soon, even Supergirl was starting to lose hope.
"I guess we're not needed anymore," Supergirl said as they sat on the edge.
"We should be happy, but now I feel so empty," Phantom said with a sigh. "So where's that friend of yours?"
"She's behind us," Supergirl said simply.
"Hey!" a female voice exclaimed, causing Phantom to jump in shock. He forgot that they were sitting on a ledge. Phantom fell of the building and landed on a truck. Supergirl and her friend stared at him as Phantom slowly flew back up, holding his lower back.
"I'm okay," Phantom said as he looked at the newcomer. It was girl about their age wearing a costume similar to Batman with a shorter cape and a yellow Bat symbol. She also had blue eyes and red hair that reached her shoulders. "So this is your friend?"
"Yeah, this is Batgirl," Supergirl said, gesturing to the newcomer. "Batgirl, this is Danny Phantom."
"The Ghost Boy," Batgirl said as she and Phantom shook hands. "Nice to meet you."
"Same here," Phantom said as he looked at Batgirl. "Have to say, I thought you'd be more uptight."
"I thought you'd be scrawny," Batgirl said before looking at Phantom. "Well, scrawnier."
"Yeah, I got that a lot," Phantom said as they ended the handshake. "So how's the big Bats doing? Is he going crazy with 'Sounds to Relax'?"
"Actually, he's enjoying it," Batgirl said. "Said he never felt so relax before."
"You're joking, right?" Phantom said with a deadpanned expression. "You're telling me Batman, the Dark Knight, is actually enjoying something?"
"Yeah, that shocked me too," Batgirl said. "But this might be good for him. He needs to relax."
"Well I can't argue with you there," Phantom said, thinking how uptight Batman is. "He really needs to relax."
"So, what's it like being in the big leagues?" Batgirl said with a sly look, the same look Supergirl had earlier.
"Nice try," Phantom said. "But I am not risking that. Superman is scary enough, but Batman? I wanna be alive…somewhat alive."
Batgirl huffed, so did Supergirl. With nothing else to do, the three decided to grab something to eat. No one seemed to mind three teenage heroes buying two boxes of doughnuts, except for the kids and teens. They were sitting on Wayne's Tower, munching on some powdered doughnuts.
"You know," Phantom said as he licked his fingers. "I just realized that Superman isn't the 'Last Kryptonian'. I mean, you're a Kryptonian, so he's not the last one."
"He's got a point," Batgirl said as she ate another doughnut.
"Tell that to the media," Supergirl said with a nod.
Before anyone can say something, a blue wisp escaped from Phantom's mouth, getting their attention. Out of nowhere, the ghost ship appeared again, the pirates all shouting and swinging their swords.
"Finally!" Phantom exclaimed in glee as Batgirl and Supergirl cheered.
From the boat, Youngblood appeared and pointed his hook at the tower's big satellite.
"Avast matey!" he shouted. "Go out there and get me…uh…"
"Try 'booty'," the parrot said.
"You said booty," Youngblood giggled.
"Okay guys," Phantom said to Batgirl and Supergirl. "Here's the plan."
Before he could say a word, the two girls sprang into action, leaving the Ghost Boy there. He just sighed before he charged as well.
Supergirl smashed right into the ship, causing it to rattle. She started punching it, making pieces of green wood fly off it. Batgirl was using her grappler to swing on top of the boat, throwing explosive pellets. The Ghost Pirates were thrown off their feet as Batgirl landed on the boat. One big pirate was in front of her and she tried to punch it, only to see her fist go through it.
"What the?" she said as she tried again, only to pass through. She tried kicking, but the Ghost caught her leg. "Uh oh."
The pirate raised his sword, about to cut Batgirl in half. Suddenly, his head was throw off his shoulder courtesy by a white boat. The body started running to its head, dropping Batgirl in the process.
"Next time, wait for the guy who can fight Ghosts," Phantom said as he helped Batgirl up. He pulled out the Fenton Thermos and gave it to her. "Use this."
"For what, soup?" Batgirl asked as she stared at the Thermos.
"Just don't point that at me. Press the green button," Phantom said before he flew towards Youngblood. The kid noticed him and quickly turned his hook into a slingshot. He fired at Phantom, who dodged it.
"Go and get the goods you dogs!" Youngblood ordered. The pirates saluted and went to the satellite, carrying thick rope and hooks.
"How come people listen to you?" Phantom said incredulously. He didn't noticed a cannon aimed at him.
"You just need to know the right words," Youngblood said with a smirk. "Like this; fire!"
There was a loud 'BAM!' that caused Phantom to turn around. He saw a cannonball flying towards him, causing him to create a Ghost Shield. When the cannonball made contact with the shield, it exploded, sending Phantom towards the ground.
Meanwhile, Batgirl was dodging swords as she tried to figure out the silver and green device in her hands. She managed to open it, but it was empty.
"He said the green button," Batgirl said as he aimed at the Ghost in front of her and pressed it. The pirate quickly moved to the side, missing the silver light. Phantom, who was falling, got hit by the light.
He screamed as he was suck into the Fenton Thermos, much to Batgirl's shock. Once he was inside, the thermos closed.
"Oops…" Batgirl said before she was swatted by the pirates, sending her flying off the ship. She grabbed the thermos and pulled out her grappler, firing at the ship. She managed to connect to the ship and swung herself up, but one pirate saw this and went and cut the rope.
Her eyes widened when she started falling to the ground. Supergirl, who managed to make a hole on the ship, noticed her friend falling. She quickly flew towards Batgirl, leaving the ship alone. Meanwhile, the pirates managed to connect the satellite and ship together with the rope. They gave the signal, which made the ship fly away. With a powerful tug, the satellite was taken.
"Set sail!" Youngblood exclaimed as the ship flew away. The sails were raised, causing the ship to go faster. Once they were in the sky, the ship disappeared.
Supergirl managed to catch Batgirl and carried her to a nearby roof. Once Batgirl was out of danger, Supergirl turned and saw that the ship was gone, so was the satellite.
"Great," Supergirl said sarcastically as she landed near Batgirl. Suddenly, she noticed that Phantom was missing. "Hey, where's Phantom?"
"I'm in here!" Phantom exclaimed from within the Fenton Thermos, surprising Batgirl and Supergirl. "Can you get me out of here? I can't feel my everything!"
Supergirl stared at the thermos before at Batgirl, who was laughing sheepishly.
Next Day…
"You got trap in the Thermos?" Tucker said, laughing.
"It's not funny, Tucker," Danny said, glaring at his friend. They were currently at school, which was over for the day. He told his friends about last night and Tucker was having a good laugh.
"You got trap in the thermos," Tucker repeated as he took a breath of air. "How can I not laugh at that?"
Danny gave him a deadpanned look. He then looked around and saw Dash in front of him, carrying his books under his arm. Danny slapped at the books, causing it to fall.
Startled, Dash turned and glared at Danny, who then pointed at Tucker. Growling, Dash grabbed Tucker by the shirt before shoving him in the nearest locker before slamming the door shut. Danny leaned on the lockers with his arms crossed.
"Still funny?" Danny asked as Sam unlocked the locker.
"No," Tucker said as he got out the locker. "So, it's Friday. You guys wanna do something fun?"
"I have one," Sam said with a grin as she pulled out a flier from her bag. She showed the flier to her friends, showing a radio and the word P.A.R.T.Y. on it. "We open our own radio station!"
"When did you decide that?" Danny asked as he took the flier.
"Just last night," Sam said with a grin. "We can use your parents' equipment to start our own station. To bring back real music."
"As much as I love to do that," Danny said as he handed the flier back to Sam. "I can't. I'm going back to Gotham City."
"Is it about that pirate ship?" Tucker asked as they made their way to the Fenton house.
"Batman might be furious," Danny said in a hushed tone. "Besides, it's my job and lately, the other heroes are acting weird."
"Well, can you at least lend us your parents' equipment?" Sam asked pleadingly.
"I'll ask them," Danny said once they were in front of the house. "But be warned, if I'm going down, I'm taking you guys with me."
He took a deep breath and entered the house with his eyes closed.
"Mom, Dad, can I borrow your equipment!" Danny shouted to the living room. When he heard nothing, he opened his eyes and saw that it was empty. "Hello?"
"I'll take that as a yes!" Sam said with a smile.
Danny and his friends walked towards the kitchen and saw that it was still empty. Danny spotted a note with his name on it placed on a table. Curious, he took the note and read it.
"Dear Danny, went on cruise with Jack and Jazz. Be back in a week. Love, Mom," Danny said as he noticed a flier on the table. "M. Bersback Cruise Line? Weird name."
"So can we borrow the equipment?" Sam asked as Danny pocketed the flier.
"Just be sure to clean the mess before they come back," Danny said as he turned into Phantom. "I need to go and pack somethings."
He grab a silver knapsack filled with some of his parents' weapons; two Specter Deflectors, the Fenton Ghost Gloves, Fenton Ecto Sabers and a spare Fenton Thermos. He grabbed some Fenton Earphones and placed them on his ears.
"See you guys on Sunday," Phantom said as he waved at his friends before he went to the Specter Speeder and flew through the ceiling, using his intangibility to make the vehicle intangible. When he was outside, he activated the Speeder's stealth mode. "Next stop, Gotham City."
Later…
Phantom parked on top of Wayne's Enterprise, sitting on the edge with his legs swinging. He arrived at Gotham half an hour earlier and was now waiting for Supergirl and Batgirl. He had to admit, but it was nice to hang out with heroes his own age. Working with adults was very tiring. Flash was a good friend, but it wasn't the same as hanging out with someone his own age. He turned around when he heard some footsteps and saw the two people he was waiting for.
"So how did Batman take it?" Phantom asked Batgirl as he stood up.
"He's not here," Batgirl said with suspicion. "He left leaving me a note. He said something about going to a cruise."
"You mean M. Bersback Cruise Line?" Phantom asked as he showed them the flier in his pocket.
"Weird, Superman went to the same thing," Supergirl said as she looked at Batgirl and Phantom.
"Okay, this is getting weird," Phantom said with narrowed eyes. "It's not weird for Superman to go on vacation, but there is no way Batman would."
"That's what I thought too," Batgirl said with a worried tune. "I'm starting to worry."
"Hang on," Supergirl suddenly said, causing Batgirl and Phantom to quiet down. Her eyes suddenly widens. "Metropolis is in trouble!"
"Let's go then," Phantom said as he walked towards the invisible Specter Speeder. "Any of you need a lift?"
Their eyes widened when Phantom showed them the Specter Speeder. A minute later, they were flying towards Metropolis. Batgirl was with Phantom in the Specter Speeder with Supergirl beside them. The two were wearing Specter Deflectors to protect themselves from the Ghosts.
"So how come you have this?" Batgirl asked after Phantom explained what the Specter Speeder can do. "Can't you fly already?"
"I can, but it's tiring," Phantom said with a shrug. "Besides, this thing has a cup holder."
"Look!" Batgirl exclaimed as she pointed in front of them. They were in Metropolis and they saw the pirate ship kidnapping adults.
"Wanna drive?" Phantom asked as he handed the steering wheel to Batgirl before he pointed at the buttons. "Steer, fire, explosions."
"Got it," Batgirl said as Phantom stood up and jumped out the ship, carrying the bag. He flew towards Supergirl, carrying the Ghost Gloves. "Supergirl!"
Supergirl turned and saw Phantom handing her the Ghost Gloves.
"What do these do?" Supergirl asked as she looked at the gloves.
"They're good for punching Ghosts," Phantom said.
"Not really my style, though," Supergirl said as she put the gloves on.
The three attacked, surprising the Ghost pirates. Batgirl fired at them with the Speeder's blasters, Phantom and Supergirl attacked the pirates to make them drop their hostages before they caught them and put them to safety.
Youngblood growled in annoyance before he turned around.
"That scurvy dog is ruining are plans!" he complained to a shadowy figure.
"Then how about you unleash the sharks?" the shadow suggested.
Phantom was firing at the pirates before his earpiece activated.
"What's up?" Phantom asked as he dodged a sword and kicking the pirate away.
"Danny, we found something weird," Sam said through the earpiece. "I was fooling around with 'Sounds to Relax' and I found something weird when I scratched it."
Phantom listened as he heard the horrendous music before some scratching. His eyes widened when he heard some words.
"Leave you kids…come to the cruise…Leave you kids…come to the cruise…"
"Mind control music?" Phantom said. "That sounds like…Ember!"
"You got that right, Dipstick!" a voice exclaimed before he heard a guitar strum. He was blasted by some music notes, causing him to slam to the side of a building. Phantom opened his eyes and saw Ember dressed like a pirate in red clothing. Next to her was Youngblood who was making faces at him.
Suddenly, stereos and a giant satellite appeared from the ship, playing 'Sounds to Relax'.
"Ember's back!" Phantom exclaimed until something clicked. "M. Bersback Cruise Line…Ember's back…I really need to start paying attention to this stuff."
He flew off the building at charged at Ember when a green fly swatter swatted him away. Supergirl saw this and tried to help him when a gold lasso caught her and pulled her to the ground. Batgirl was shocked when she saw Green Lantern and Wonder Girl attacking her friends.
She tried to stop them, but the vehicle jerked and didn't move. Surprised, she looked behind her and saw Superman holding the vehicle with one hand, his face blank. He threw the Speeder, causing it to fly out of control.
Batgirl held on to the wheels, trying to steady the Specter Speeder. She managed crash land it away from the buildings. She was shaken a bit as she got out the Speeder, holding her head. She jumped when Phantom and Supergirl landed in front of her, having blank stares.
"You like my new fans?" Ember asked as Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter and Batman appeared in front and beside her.
"So you're the reason why every adult was acting weird," Phantom said as he and Supergirl.
"No duh!" Youngblood exclaimed. "I mean, argh!"
"Why? What do you need them for?" Supergirl asked as she glared at the Ghost.
"They power up my station, of course," Ember said, thinking about the mind controlled adults, using treadmills to power up their radio station. "They really help a lot with the 'ruling the whole world' and stuff. And Youngblood here is my little helper. As for your super friends, they're my new bodyguards. Now, take them out!"
The controlled heroes all looked at the trio before they charged. Phantom quickly grabbed the two heroines and turned invisible. The controlled heroes looked around and saw no one. In the sewers, Phantom, Batgirl and Supergirl were regrouping.
"Great, we're outnumbered and outmatched," Supergirl said as she looked at the ceiling with her X-rays.
"I think I know how to stop them," Phantom said, but no one heard him.
"Batman, Superman, everyone is gone," Batgirl said. "What do we do now?"
"Hey, guys."
"We just have to fight them," Supergirl said in a determined voice.
"Hey!" Phantom exclaimed, getting their attention. "I know this may look bad, but I have a plan."
"What's the point?" Batgirl asked in a depressed tone. "It's just the three of us left."
"Because we're heroes," Phantom said. "We give everything we have and more if we ran out. We may be outnumbered and outmatched, but we have a job to do. Now, are you guys with me?"
Batgirl and Supergirl stared at him as he held out a hand to them. Slowly, they smiled and placed their hands on his hand.
"Where did you learn that speech?" Supergirl asked with a smile.
"You just need to know the right words," Phantom said as he reached for his communicator. "Flash, you there?"
A minute later, the controlled Justice League were looking for the three young heroes in Metropolis. The pirates managed to snag the last adults and placed them in the ship.
"Guess those losers ran with their tail between their legs," Youngblood said as he sat at the ship's edge.
"Phantom doesn't give up, so be alert, squirt," Ember said, tuning her guitar.
Without warning, a tomato hit her guitar, surprising her.
"What the-!?"
"Hey!" a voice exclaimed from the side. They turned and saw Flash standing on a building, making faces at them. "You can't catch me!" he disappeared in a red blur.
"Gr…get that speedster!" Ember ordered. The Justice League soon chased after Flash, who was smirking.
He made a turn to a corner before he disappeared. The League turned to the corner and found that he was gone.
"Now!" Phantom exclaimed as he appeared behind Green Lantern and Hawkgirl, firing at them. He hit the two on their back, sending them to the ground. Flash created a small tornado to cushion their fall before trapping them. Phantom then charged at Wonder Woman, his hands glowing.
Superman was about to attack Phantom when Supergirl flew from the rooftops and tackled Superman towards an empty building. There were a lot of shaking in the building, like an earthquake. Batman was about to charge when a bunch of pellets landed in front of him. He quickly used his cape to shield himself.
The pellets released a large amount of smoke, shrouding the Dark Knight. Batman just stood there before he moved his head, dodging Batgirl's foot. Batgirl quickly spun around and aimed a roundhouse kick at Batman's head, who dodge it.
Phantom was firing at Wonder Woman, who was deflecting it with her silver bracelets. She charged and punched, but Phantom just dodge it and went behind her. He grabbed her in a submission hold.
Wonder Woman struggled a bit as Phantom gritted his teeth to keep his hold on Wonder Woman. Suddenly, he was distracted when he heard a loud crash. He slightly turned his head and saw Superman carrying Supergirl on his shoulder.
He lost his concentration and Wonder Woman broke free from his hold. She then grabbed him on his shirt before throwing him towards Batgirl, who was blocking Batman's punches. He slammed into the girl, sending them to the ground.
Flash was still running around the two controlled heroes when Hawkgirl suddenly slammed her mace to the ground. Flash was blown off by the shockwave before he was restrained by Green Lantern.
Phantom gritted his teeth as Wonder Woman grabbed him by the back of his shirt. As he and the others were being dragged towards the ship, they didn't notice the smirk he had as he noticed something silver and green in Superman's ear.
The tied up Phantom, Supergirl, Batgirl and Flash were kneeling in front Younblood while Ember was standing way behind him, smirking.
"You think you scurvy dogs can beat Captain Youngblood? Well time for you dogs to walk the plank!" Youngblood taunted.
"You know that some of us can fly, right?" Phantom commented in a deadpanned tone.
"Then I'll just cut off your head!" Youngblood exclaimed, his hook replaced by a sharp blade. He placed the blade on Phantom's neck. "Any last words, matey?"
"Just one," Phantom said with a grin. "Now!"
Without warning, Superman punched at the wooden floors, creating a big hole. Superman then used his laser eyes to cut the rope that were restraining the others.
"Hey! What are you doing!?" Ember exclaimed as she stared at Superman. She suddenly noticed the earpieces Superman was wearing.
"Good to have you back, Superman," Phantom said as he rubbed his wrist.
"Thanks for getting me out of the mind control," Superman said as he rubbed his head. "I still don't remember anything."
"Remember later," Supergirl said as she noticed the Justice League and the pirates charging at them. "We have trouble!"
"Batgirl, you know what to do!" Phantom shouted. Batgirl nodded before jumping in the hole. Phantom then charged at Ember while the others charged at the Justice League.
Batgirl ran through the woody corridors, looking for Ember's radio station. She found it on the lowest level, with all the kidnapped adults, and one orange haired teenager, powering the ship and station using the treadmills. The machine was playing 'Sounds to Relax' at maximum volume, the DJ a single skeleton pirate.
Batgirl pulled out a batarang and threw it at the machine, getting the DJ's attention. Without warning, the machine explode, turning the pirate into a pile of bones. The explosion started a chain of explosions, destroying the stations.
When the station was gone, the adults stopped moving at looked around in confusion.
"Everyone!" Batgirl shouted. "Follow me!"
Back at the ship, Superman, Supergirl and Flash were restraining the Justice League when they heard the explosion that shook the ship. The controlled heroes suddenly looked around in confusion.
"What's…going on here?" Hawkgirl asked, holding her head.
"Long story," Superman said, glad that his team was back to normal.
Phantom was punching and kicking at Ember, who was blocking with her guitar. Youngblood was just watching, not knowing what to do.
"Stay still, Dipstick!" Ember exclaimed, swinging her guitar at Phantom.
Phantom just grabbed something in his pocket and a green saber appeared from the metal tube. He swung and hit Ember's guitar, slicing it in half. Ember growled and removed her hat, revealing flaming hair.
She fired at Phantom, who flew and dodge it. Ember turned and fired again. Phantom dived down, causing the fire to hit the giant sails. Soon, the ship was on fire.
"Well, that was bad," Ember said before she flew up. She noticed Youngblood looking at her. "See ya later kid! See ya at my next concert!"
In a swirl of fire, Ember disappeared. Youngblood looked around his ship and saw Phantom. He growled before charging at him. Phantom noticed him and quickly blocked Youngblood's blade with his Ecto Saber. The two jumped away before landing on the wood that supported the sail.
"Bring it on, Snot nose!" Phantom shouted. They charged and clashed blades.
Meanwhile, the Justice League managed to drive the pirates away, though Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter were the only ones who could hurt them. They noticed the hostages and started helping them get off the ship.
Phantom was still clashing blades with Youngblood, blocking the swings instead of attacking since he didn't want to hurt the kid. He jumped over Youngblood, avoiding a wide swing that hit the burning sails, slicing it.
"Stay still you dog!" Youngblood shouted as he went to stab Phantom.
"How about you go to bed!" Phantom exclaimed as she slashed the blade off before kicking Youngblood to the ground. Phantom pulled out the Thermos and was about to capture Youngblood when the skeleton parrot peck him on the head, hard.
The skeleton then flew towards Youngblood, grabbing the kid by the head before flying away. Phantom would have chased him, but he noticed that the ship was heading to the Daily Planet.
He quickly flew to the steering wheel and steered the crashing boat to the nearest lake. Once the ship was on course, he flew off the ship. He watched the burning Ghost ship go down the water before he looked for the others.
He spotted them, along with the kidnapped adults. He was about to fly towards them, but he noticed his parents. Acting out of instinct, he turned invisible.
"What happened?" Jazz asked, looking around the room. "Where are we?"
"And why do I feel like I have buns of steel?" Jack said, looking at his butt, which seemed to have shrunk.
"At last!" Maddie cheered. "I mean, I love you just the way you are." She said as she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek.
"Ew," Jazz said.
Later...
"And…done!" Phantom cheered as he finished repairing the Specter Speeder.
"So why did you hide yourself?" Supergirl asked as Phantom wiped the grime off his face.
Phantom, Supergirl and Batgirl were currently on top of a tall building away from the people. They were still in Metropolis, resting after the hard work. The Justice League, minus Phantom, were busy helping the mind controlled victims.
"The Fentons…don't like me very much," Phantom replied with a chuckle. "They're Ghost Hunters, and as you can see, I'm a Ghost."
"Well that's not fair," Batgirl said. "You saved them."
"No, we did," Phantom said with a grin. "So, I don't have any plans today. You guys wanna do something?"
He grinned at his new two friends, who were telling him about the hot spots in Metropolis.
Gotham City…
Batman was looking at his Batcomputer, looking at some info. On the desk was the Specter Deflector that he got from Batgirl. From what he can gather, the Specter Deflector was created by a family called the Fentons.
"The Fentons…" Batman said, looking at the F on a green fire ball. "Amity Park…"
He narrowed his eyes as he looked at a picture of the Fenton Family. Jack Fenton, the big guy of the family. Maddie Fenton, a woman with brown hair. Jasmine Fenton, a young girl with orange hair. And Daniel Fenton, a young boy with black hair.
He narrowed his eyes as he stared at Daniel Fenton's picture before bringing up a picture of Danny Phantom. Their appearance, names, and age were quite similar.
"Daniel Fenton…"
And boom, there you go! Sorry for the delay, there was a cold going on at my home, also I had orientation. So here's what happening, Danny Phantom meets Batgirl and became friends, Youngblood has made his appearance, and now Batman is one step away of discovering Danny's secret identity. What's gonna happen? Find out next chapter.
Review reply time.
Guest1- Powergirl will be in the story at the Unlimited story.
swinglepdon- Yeah. Their adults and adults treat kids like they might get hurt. Look at Superman, he's afraid that his super cousin might get a sprain for fighting bank robbers.
Shadow- Thanks.
shugokage- You'll see soon.
OpalIstas- Nah, Batman's not like that. He could give subtle reveals about his identity, but not to others. He won't be treated like a sidekick by Batman, but the rest might. As for the team, they might be freak out, and that could be funny.
KodiakWolfe13- Yes it is. Just one more proof is needed. And yeah, torching homework for BBQ fire is fun, and tasty.
princessbinas- Whizzer? That's a worst name than Bob. Anyway, they might ask some questions, but maybe not. They are private about each other's life. That's hero 101, don't ask, just let them tell you.
scheffelman- Then it would feel like ripping Batman off. Let's just go with above average intellect. I might even get him to graduate early…
Squidgod812- Thank you.
RHatch89- Thanks.
tigergirl1723- They'll experience the Ghost Zone, during Reign Storm! Oh yeah! Reign Storm!
animegal1357- Not everyone, just the creepy ones with powers.
RandomCitizen- Yeah, you can't think about private things about an itchy rash or your diary. And not really, a Kryptonian draws power from the sun. Phantom's powers comes from his Ghostly Core. He might be more related to the Martians, with his Ice Core being weak to fire.
EasilyDistractedBookWorm- Nah, Batman's not like that. Flash might be.
InsanityPie- Yeah, that's his thing, knowing everything. And besides, Batman lies a lot, so he won't be mad for Phantom lying.
Pegasus Sword Master- Does a belt made to deflect Ghosts created by Ghost Hunters a clue enough?
Guest2- Danny hasn't met Clockwork yet.
JP-Ryder- Yeah, when he's suspicious, he's right. And all he needs is one more clue before getting the answer. Thanks for that chapter idea, sounds great!
Dion ComicWiz- For Starcrossed, no. Hawkgirl leaving was something Hawkgirl needed to do. She needed to leave so she can find herself. For Wild Cards, that's a surprise. Lastly, I'm gonna do what Danny did do Dani.
PhantomWorks- Stories division- It's gonna be a sequel. Don't want to make this story a hundred chapters long.
Pedro52- Thanks.
Guest of honor- Nah, the first time they'll go to the Ghost Zone, it'll be fighting Pariah Dark.
Long Reviewer- Thanks for the ideas. I might use the second one for Superman. Also, I don't mind the long reviews. Just happy that someone is reviewing. Well, peace out!
dracula-key- Oh he will know. As for Joker, he might take it, but it's too good to resist. As for Savage Time, that will be a secret
Totong- His secret was going to be revealed in Starcrossed, so it's not a big deal. As for the Antlantean Invasion, well thanks for giving me next chapter. Excelsior!
Guest3- Thanks, glad you like it.
DinoZilla- He doesn't watch it. The Philosopher's Stone exist in the DC Universe. Sorry for busting the bubble.
newboy- Maybe he will, I mean, he is The Batman.
Locobat12345- Ultimate Enemy will have a surprise, so I won't answer your question.
EcoReibun- They'll appear next chapter.
Guest4- Like I just said, that's a surprise. Here's a hint, it will involve the Justice League in more ways than one.
Atom King- Good questions. Justice Lord, someone else will die. He might meet Static in the future, and yes, he will.
Fanboy 316- Yeah, I wanted a fanfic like this, and I found one just like it. It's called Days of Justice. Read it.
PhantomReaper13- I will, just very different than this.
Well, there you go! Next chapter, Joker in Wisconsin?! What will the Clown Prince of Crime do withint Vlad's territory? Read and find out! See you later!
