Sorry to keep you guy waiting! Next week school starts, so I'll be busier again. But I won't stop updating, so no worries. Anyway, last chapter, the team dealt with one of DC's heaviest threats, and somehow survived. Danny made a new friend named Starfire, who is now under Hawkgirl's watch. Let's see what our protagonist is doing now. Enjoy!
Chapter 19: The Knights of Gotham
"Ow…" Danny groaned as he removed the muscle relief patch on his body. "My body hurts…And it's been a week already…"
Danny was in his room, in his boxers as he removed the patches all over him. He still can't believe that last week really happened. It felt so surreal. He and the Justice League went to a terrifying planet, where he was abducted by an alien robot that tried to learn his ghostly energy, and then escaping with an alien girl from a destroyed planet.
He kept contact with Starfire, who was staying with Hawkgirl, who met her kind before, and she seems happy to be living on Earth. He should introduce her to Megan and Supergirl.
He sighed as he stretched himself, trying to ease the pain. It wasn't as bad as the day after they escaped Brainiac's lair, where he's entire body seemed torn inside out. In fact, the last time he felt like that, it was during his first time fighting against the Lunch Lady. He's body hurt so much that walking made him cry in pain.
Eventually, he got used to it, after constantly fighting Ghosts and Ghost Hunters, so it surprised him to feel so sore. Luckily, he still has those patches under his bed, where he kept his emergency first aid kit.
Suddenly, the door busted open, and his parents came in, holding a letter in excitement.
"Guess what, Danny-boy!" Jack exclaimed.
"Mom! Dad!" Danny exclaimed as he quickly put on a shirt, to cover his many battle scars. "Knock first! And stop breaking the door! That's the third one this month."
"Sorry, sweetie," Maddie said with a smile as she took the letter from her husband's hand. "But you won't believe what we got from the mail."
"Another Paranormal Convention?" Danny asked as he quickly put on some pants.
"Nope, but that would be good too," Jack said with a grin. "No, it's from Bruce Wayne!"
"Wayne?" a voice in the hall said. Everyone turn and saw Jazz, who looked like she just gotten off of bed. "As in Bruce Wayne? The Playboy Philanthropy Billionaire Bruce Wayne?"
"The very same," Jack said as he showed his children the letter. "Bruce Wayne wants to make a business deal with Fenton Works! At long last, all my and your mother's hard work is finally paying off!"
"He invited us to Wayne Enterprise tomorrow, to discuss a possible partnership!" Maddie exclaimed with excitement.
"So, get ready kids! We're leaving at 900 hours!" Jack exclaimed before both parents left and went to pack for the trip tomorrow."
"…Good thing the school is closed for renovations, again," Danny commented with a sigh as he grabbed his phone as Jazz sighed and walked to the bathroom, to take a bath. He contacted them and sighed again. "Hey guys. Sorry, but I can't hang out today. My parents are taking me and Jazz to Gotham to meet Bruce Wayne. C'mon Sam, don't be like that. Who knows, maybe he isn't a bad guy. Okay, while you two duke it out, I'm gonna go pack. See ya, and be careful."
He put his phone in his pocket and went to grab a suitcase. He wanted to spend the weekend with his friends and relax. Guess he'll just relax in Gotham, the place full of lunatics and clowns.
Once they all had their stuff packed and had breakfast, the Fentons rode on their Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle, or the RV, and drove on to Gotham City. Danny was looking out the window with a tired expression while Jazz looked at him.
Unknown to him, Jazz knew his secret. She found out by accident during the Spectra event. She was shocked to found out her little brother became a Ghost, but she was proud. Instead of abusing his powers, like getting revenge or going into the girls' locker room, he used it to do good.
But then he joined the Justice League and she saw that it was taking a toll on him. His grades were on the verge of failing, he looked tired, he barely hangs out with his friends and seems to be getting more injured every day. She wanted to talk to him, to ask him to stop doing this dangerous job, but this was his life and his choice.
But if something life threatening happens to him, she will do something about it.
Later…
"Okay, we're here!" Jack called as he drove the RV through the streets of Gotham, with people staring and pointing at the weird vehicle. "Gotham City! Take a good look, kids! We're in one of the big city! Hey, Danny! You excited in catching a glimpse of the Batman?"
"Uh…" Danny said, already having met the Batman. "Kinda."
"Oh, turn left here, dear," Maddie said, looking at her GPS. "The hotel is just around the corner."
"You got it, Mads," Jack said as he turned left.
Danny and Jazz looked at the hotel and saw that it was a fancy one, causing Danny to whistle.
"Fancy," he commented.
"Mom, you sure we can afford to stay here?" Jazz asked.
"Oh, don't worry Jasmine," Maddie said. "Mr. Wayne was kind enough to pay for our stay here."
"Wow, I'm starting to like the guy," Danny said with a grin.
"Don't take advantage of it, Danny," Jazz said sternly.
"What? I just wanted to try buying something from the mini fridge," Danny said. "I heard it's expensive."
The RV was parked in the hotel's parking lot and the family of four went to the hotel's lobby. Once they checked in, they found themselves in the penthouse suite, which was as big as the lab in their basement. There was a bar, a big mine fridge, a big screen T.V. in front of a giant, plushy couch, a big, fancy bathroom and three separate bedrooms.
"Wow, rich people are weird, but they sure know how to pick a hotel room," Danny said as he hopped on the couch and lied down on it. "Wow, it's like lying down a giant marshmallow."
"This is actually neat," Jazz said as she looked at one of the rooms. "I call this room."
"Okay, we all had a long ride, so let's just relax tonight and order some dinner," Maddie said as she picked up the menu. "Wow, most of these food sound so fancy."
Meanwhile, in the parking lot, a bunch of thugs wearing ski masks were making their way to the Fenton RV.
"Man, look at this thing," one of them said as he eyed the vehicle. "We can sell this thing for big bucks."
"Yeah, let's break in it," one of them said as he held a crowbar. He made the mistake of trying to open the door, since the moment he tried to jam the crowbar to the door, it electrocuted him. The others jump away in shock as the thug fell on the floor, burnt and smoking, twitching randomly.
"What the hell happened!?" one of them exclaimed.
"Never mind, just break the windows!" another one exclaimed as he grabbed a bat and swung it at the driver's seat window. He swung as hard as he can, but it barely cracked. In fact, it rebounded and hit another thug, smashing into his face, knocking him out and causing his mask to be soaked in nose blood.
"What kind of car is this!?" one of them exclaimed.
"Let's just push the stupid thing!" another one shouted as he placed his palms on the back of the vehicle, which caused several lasers to appear and aim at him. He blinked and slowly moved away from the vehicle, the lasers following him.
Suddenly, one of them sneezed.
The parking lot was filled with screams as the lasers lighted up the dark place. The thugs, now burned and injured, ran away, carrying their unconscious comrades.
The Next Day…
"Huh, looks like someone tried to take the Fenton RV last night," Maddie said as she and her family walked through the parking lot and saw the scorched marks on the concrete ground.
"Hope they enjoyed the lasers," Jack said with a grin.
The entire family were dressed for business, at least the kids were. Danny was wearing a blue business suit, and Jazz was wearing a blue pants and white blouse shirt, but the parents were wearing their jumpsuits, with Jack having a tie around his neck.
"Why do we have to dress like this again?" Danny asked Jazz as he pulled on his collar.
"Someone has to make a good first impression," Jazz said, gesturing at the parents.
"…Point taken," Danny said as they climbed in the RV. "Well, let's go meet the philanthropy playboy billionaire."
Jack turn the RV on and drove on to Wayne Enterprise, the parents eager to share their inventions. They drove to the tallest building in the city, with the words WAYNE ENTERPRISE proudly displayed on the building. A lot of the people were pointing at the RV, talking pictures and whispering as Jack parked the RV in an empty lot nearby.
"Okay, Mads, let's grab the good stuff," Jack said as they exit the RV.
"Sure thing, Jack," Maddie said as the kids got out.
"Need help?" Danny asked.
"Sure, just grab the box full of blueprints," his mom said, which Danny and Jazz complied.
They group walked towards the entrance, which suddenly opened. Walking towards them was a handsome man in his thirties, with neatly combed hair, a strong jaw and blue eyes, dressed in a black business suit.
"Hello there, you must be the Fentons," he greeted with a charming smile. "I'm Bruce Wayne, a pleasure to finally meet you."
"Thank you for taking time to meet us, Mr. Wayne," Maddie said.
"Get ready to be blown away, Mr. Wayne!" Jack said jovially.
Meanwhile, Danny was looking at Bruce Wayne with a confused expression. Jazz noticed and nudge at him.
"Something wrong, Danny?" Jazz asked.
"Nothing, just an itchy nose," Danny said as he scratched his nose before turning back to Wayne. "It feels like I met this guy before…but that's impossible."
"These must be your children," Bruce said as he walked towards Danny and Jazz. "It's a pleasure to meet you…"
"Oh, Danny Fenton," Danny said as he shook the man's hand. He mentally noted the grip Bruce Wayne had.
"That's quite a grip you got there," Bruce said as he let go before turning to Jazz.
"I'm Jasmine Fenton," Jazz said as she shook his hand. "It's quite an honor to meet you, Mr. Wayne."
"Please, let's go to my office and discuss our contract," Bruce offered as he led them inside and walked towards the elevator, leading them to the top floor.
"So, Mr. Wayne, why the interest in Fenton Works?" Danny asked as they listened to elevator music.
"I've read all about your parents' works these past years," Bruce replied as he looked at the young boy. "I'm amazed how advance your technology is, and it would be a great boost for both of us if we work together."
"You hear that, kids?" Jack asked, looking at his children. "The Fentons are finally making their name known!"
They finally made it to the top floor, a wide, circular room with double, oak doors. There was a desk with a secretary, who greeted them before looking back at her computer.
"We can go in my office to discuss business," Bruce said to the adults before turning to the kids. "You kids can explore the building if you want. Business talk is really boring."
"Um…Sure," Danny said after he and Jazz exchange looks. "Always wanted to see what billionaires make."
The two kids walked back to the elevator and went down as the parents walk in the office.
"So, what do you want to know first, Mr. Wayne," Maddie asked as she and her husband sat down.
"Well, what can Fenton Works offer to Wayne Enterprise?" Bruce asked as he leaned on his desk.
"Well sit back and enjoy, Mr. Wayne!" Jack exclaimed with an excited gleam in his eyes as he rummaged through the inventions. "Because Fenton Works has a lot to offer! Like this, the Fenton Ghost Finder! It can locate a nearby ghost in a mile radius!"
"There is a Ghost nearby, in the elevator," a female voice from the machine said.
"Though for some reason, it keeps getting locked on Danny's genetic signature," Maddie said as she grabbed it and put it back in the box.
"…" Bruce simply blinked at that. "So…I guess they don't know…"
"Fascinating," he said with a small smile. "What else?"
"Well, here's the Fenton Ghost Gloves!" Jack exclaimed as he showed Bruce the mechanical gloves cackling with energy. "No Ghosts can escape these baby's clutches! I should know, I beat up the Wisconsin Ghost with it!"
Meanwhile, Danny and Jazz were walking through the building, passing office to office.
"Man, this is boring," Danny said as they walked by another office full of cubicles. "Mr. Wayne sure spends a lot of money for cubicles."
"Have to say, this is kinda boring," Jazz agreed.
Suddenly, Danny bumped onto someone, causing him to fall to his bottom.
"Ow…Sorry about that," Danny said as he looked at the person he bumped on to. It was an old, dark skinned man with gray hair and a mustache, dressed in a business suit.
"I'm fine, young man," the old man said with a smile. "So, what are you doing here? You're too young to be working here."
"Our parents are making a deal with Mr. Wayne," Jazz explained as she helped her brother up.
"Oh, you must be the Fentons' kids," the man said. "I'm Lucius Fox. I run the place whenever Bruce leaves for business. How about I show you kids around, to where the cool stuffs are."
Back on the top floor, Bruce was resisting a twitch on his eye as Jack babbled about the 80th invention they brought. He never thought there'd be someone who would spend a lot of time babbling. Despite that, he was impressed by the couple's inventions. They really were geniuses, despite their quirks.
"Okay, I've seen enough," Bruce said as Jack went to grab another invention.
"Aw, but I was about to show you the blueprints for the Fenton Ecto-Skeleton," Jack said, holding the blueprints.
"Mr. and Mrs. Fenton," Bruce said in a serious expression that made the two nervous, before he broke into a small smile. "I'm impressed."
"Wait, you mean…" Maddie said as she and Jack grinned.
"I can't wait to do business," Bruce said as he walked towards them and offered a handshake. Suddenly, Jack gave him a bear hug that almost cracked his spine before he and Maddie cheered.
Meanwhile, Danny and Jazz followed Lucius around a different part of the building, showing them advance vehicles and gadgets.
"This is where the really business is," Lucius said as he saw the kids looked at the vehicles that matched their family's RV. "Creating advance vehicles and exo-skeletons to help the less fortunate."
"This is amazing, Mr. Fox," Jazz said as Danny looked at the vehicle, which reminded him of something.
"That looks like…no…no way," he thought as he saw that the structure of the vehicles reminded him of the Bat Mobile, even the exo-suit looked like a prototype Bat suit, with the pointy helmet, gliders and jet boots.
Unaware to everyone, a man wearing a fedora and a trench coat was inside the building's maintenance office, two guards beaten on the ground. Beside him was a cannister, which he connected to the tower's air conditioning. With a twist of the knob, he spread the contents of the cannister through the building.
In Bruce's office, after Jack and Maddie signed the contract, the three were about to celebrate by sharing a bottle of champagne, when Bruce felt something wrong. He could smell something weird in the air.
"Sleeping gas!" he thought as he felt woozy. Both Jack and Maddie suddenly fell to the ground, dropping their glasses. Bruce weakly walked to his desk and pulled out a breathing mask, which put on. Once he wasn't woozy anymore, he pulled out a secret compartment from his desk, revealing his uniform.
Meanwhile, Danny was wide eyed as he watched Lucius and Jazz fell to the ground. He felt tired, but he wasn't sleepy. He tried waking them, but no use. Seeing something wrong, he looked around before he stood up and let a white halo appear on his body.
The man in the fedora was walking through the halls, making his way to the elevator. He pressed the button and waited for the elevator. After a few seconds, there was a ding and the elevator opened. A green blast suddenly hit him, surprising him as he was blown off his feet.
"Well, aren't you a suspicious character," Phantom said as he walked out of the elevator.
The moment Danny transformed, he flew through the halls and saw that the elevator was moving down, so he thought it might be cool to wait inside and fire at the guy.
The attack destroyed the fedora, revealing a man wearing a black and white Lucha Libre mask. He removed his trench coat, revealing a buff body in a sleeveless black onesie, with yellow wires attached to the back of his gloves and head.
"The Phantom?" he said in a Spanish accent. "What is a spirit doing here?"
"Vacation," Phantom said with a shrug before he got ready. "And who are you, Lucha Libre?"
"I am Bane," he said he grabbed the dial on his hand and turned it. "Get out of my way Fantasmito."
"Hey, I am not little!" Phantom exclaimed before he blinked. "Wait…Did I understood Spanish?"
Suddenly, in front of him, Bane started growing, becoming bulkier and taller until he was five foot taller than Phantom.
"Wow…that doesn't look legal," Phantom commented before he quickly dodged a fist that made a dent on the ground. He then charged and punched, but it barely fazed him.
"You call that a punch?" Bane said as he grabbed Phantom's arm and lifted him up. "This is a punch!"
He punched Phantom on the gut, but it went through him. The villain's eyes widened as he kept punching, but nothing.
"All I need is a little more juice," Phantom said as he phased out of Bane's grip and landed on the ground, covering his fist with ecto energy. When he punched Bane on the face, the giant was surprised to find himself off his feet. He crashed to the ground, a little daze.
A shadow appeared next to Phantom, causing him to turn and saw Batman.
"Oh, hey Bats," Phantom greeted. "How you been?"
"…" Batman didn't say anything as he looked at Bane before at Phantom. "Don't let your guard down. It's not over yet."
"Don't worry," Phantom said with a grin. "I can handle this wrestler drop ou-."
"Look out!" Batman exclaimed as he pushed a shocked Phantom away, and Bane swatted Batman towards a wall, destroying it. Before Phantom could defend himself, faster than he looks, Bane was in front of him and punched him through the ceiling, making a hole on it.
Bane exhaled before walking to the elevator. He looked at the unconscious Batman, but he will have to wait. The real prize was in the top of the tower. He got in the elevator and pressed the button to the CEO's office.
A few minutes later, Phantom jumped from the hole, holding his jaw. If it wasn't for his unnatural endurance, he wouldn't have a head. He looked around and saw Batman, groaning. He quickly flew towards him and helped him up.
"You okay, Bats?" Phantom asked as Batman slowly steadied himself.
"I've been hit by worse," Batman said before looking at the elevator. "What's Bane after?"
"…Oh no," Phantom said with wide eyes before he grabbed Batman and turned intangible. "We have to go up!"
He flew through the ceilings until he was in the top floor, just as Bane was about to enter Bruce Wayne's office. With a growl, he dropped Batman and flew towards Bane with glowing fists. When Bane turned around, Phantom flew through him before punching him away from the door. Bane growled before Batman jumped on his shoulders and aimed two punches on his eyes before he jumped away, to dodge his grabbing hands.
"What do you want with the Fentons, you wrestler rip-off?" Phantom asked as he stood in front of the door protectively as Batman pulled a few batarangs.
"I don't want the Fentons, Fantasmito," Bane said as he eyed the Ghost. "I want their technology."
"What purpose would you want Fenton tech?" Batman asked with narrowed eyes.
"I heard about the Joker's temporary power boost," Bane explained as he recalled the 'Joker Specter' debacle, where he almost defeated Earth's greatest heroes, but was stopped. "And I learned from a source that he got his powers by a device called the Ghost Portal, and only one family has that technology, the Fentons."
"So, you want to steal their blueprints, to create your own Ghost Portal," Batman said as he tensed.
"Just imagine, an army powered by both Venom and Ectoplasm, under my liderazgo," Bane said as he raised his arms, picturing himself as becoming powerful with a combination of Venom and Ghost energy. "I will be unstoppable, and no one, not even your Justice League, will stop me!"
He then turned the dial on his hands. The two heroes watched as Bane grew even larger, his muscles bulged so much that veins started appearing and throbbing painfully. He grew unnaturally large, towering over the two heroes. Even his eyes started to bulge out of his sockets.
"Batman…any advice?" Phantom asked as he backed away from the monster.
"Destroy the tubes!" Batman exclaimed as he threw the batarangs aimed at Bane's back, but it bulged, causing him to miss. Bane looked at him and charged, causing him to dodge and jump on the desk, where the secretary was sleeping on.
Batman quickly grabbed her and jumped away as Bane rushed towards them, crashing into the desk. Suddenly, green rays hit his back, causing him to turn to Phantom, who kept firing. With a growl, Bane grabbed the destroyed desk, and threw it at Phantom.
He quickly fired at it, destroying it, but he didn't see Bane rushing over and punching Phantom. Phantom turned intangible, causing him to fly through the door without breaking it. He groaned as he rubbed his chest before looking around. He saw that his parents were still sleeping. He then saw their inventions.
Meanwhile, Batman, after putting the secretary to a safe place, jumped on Bane, holding on as he tried to cut the tubes. But the rampaging made it hard to cut the tube. Bane suddenly moved backwards, slamming Batman to the wall, causing him to release his hold on Bane's back.
Bane then grabbed Batman's head and started crushing it, causing Batman to scream in pain.
"I broke you years ago, Batman," Bane said in a distorted voice. "My mistake was not ending you then, but I won't make it again!"
"Hey, feo!" a voice exclaimed, causing Bane to turn, and got a faceful of green foam. He screamed as he dropped Batman as he wiped the foam off him. He growled at Phantom, who was smirking at him, armed with a lot of Fenton tech. "You want Fenton tech? Let me give it to ya."
Bane roared and charged at Phantom, who aimed the Fenton Foamer and fired, blinding the giant with foam. He then grabbed the Fenton Fisher and threw the line, causing it loop around Bane's legs. Phantom then gave a strong pull, causing the line to tighten and for Bane to fall face first. He then fired the Fenton Grappler, ensnaring Bane in a green net.
"You think this will work on me!" Bane exclaimed in anger as he easily tore the net.
"Nope, just wanted to make you mad," Phantom said with a grin as he dropped the Fenton Grappler and put on the Fenton Ghost Gloves. He focused his Ghost energy on the gloves, causing it crackle with green electricity.
Bane roar and charged at Phantom, green foam on the edge of his mouth, all reason lost. Phantom just stood there, readying his fist. Once Bane was close enough, Phantom threw the punch. He hit Bane's face. There was a small shockwave as Bane's face turned to the side, a few teeth flying out if his mouth, blood spurting from his mouth and nose, tearing half of his mask, and the tube on the back of his head. He then flew to towards the elevator, crashing into it as he started shrinking to his normal size, unconscious.
The Ghost Glove on Phantom's hand shattered as he grabbed it, gritting his teeth in pain as he held his fist.
"Ow…ow…ow…ow…ow…" he breathed as he cradled his throbbing hand. "I guess I punched him too hard."
Once his hand went from very agonizing to bearably painful, he walked towards Batman, who was slowly standing up.
"You okay there?" Phantom asked as he offered his uninjured hand to Batman, which the Batman look at before accepting. Batman looked at the damage the fight done before at the beaten Bane in the elevator.
"…Not bad," he said as he looked at Phantom, whose eyes widened when he looked at Batman's face. "What?"
"Mr. Wayne?" he asked, causing Batman to narrow his eyes.
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
"You have the same eyes as him," Phantom said as he stared at Batman's eyes. When Bane was crushing his head, the lens popped out of his mask, revealing his eyes. "You're Batman!?"
Batman remained calm, looking at the shocked Phantom.
"Wow, rich people really are weird," Phantom said, causing his eye to twitch under his mask. "I mean, you spend a lot of money dressed like that."
"Shouldn't you change back before your parents wake up?" Batman said as he walked back to his office.
Phantom froze with his jaw wide as he looked at Batman's retreating figure. He sighed before he phased through the ground and back to where Jazz and Mr. Fox were before turning back to human. When they started stirring, Danny quickly kneeled down.
"Jazz, Mr. Fox, are you guys alright?" he asked in a concerned tone as they opened their eyes.
"Ow, my head," Jazz said as she looked at Danny, and saw his hand. "Danny, your hand!"
Danny looked and saw that his entire knuckle was bruised. He quickly covered it and smiled at Jazz.
"Don't worry, someone probably just stepped on it when we were unconscious or something," he said as Lucius stood up, rubbing his head.
"Are you children alright?" he asked as he looked at the two.
"We're fine," Danny said before Jazz could and placed his hand in his pocket. "What happened?"
"I don't know," Lucius said before pulling out a radio. "Security, searched around the place around the premises."
Jazz was looking at her brother, who seems to be holding a wince. The trio walked back to the main building, and she was shocked to see security pulling out an unconscious Bane from the elevator. She looked at her brother with wide eyes.
"Don't tell me he…" she thought as the security guards called the police.
A few minutes later, the Fentons, Lucius and Bruce were outside the building, being checked up by the hospital as a lot of photographers and reporters were taking pictures of the beaten Bane while asking some of the employees what happened, though they don't know what happened.
"I'm sorry for what happened to your family," Bruce said to Jack and Maddie once they were done with the check-ups.
"Don't worry about, Mr. Wayne," Jack said with a wave of his hand.
"Yes, I'm just glad no one was hurt," Maddie said, her arms around her children before looking at Bane. "But still, that Batman fella sure did a number on the hooligan."
"Too bad I wasn't awake," Jack said. "I would have shown that hooligan a thing or two for trying to hurt my family. No one tries to hurt Jack Fenton's family when he's around!"
"How about we continue our new partnership over dinner?" Bruce offered with a smile. "Think of it as a way of apologizing for what happened."
"I don't know…" Maddie said in an unsure tone.
"C'mon mom, he's offering," Danny said as he looked at his mom. "Besides, we're leaving tomorrow, so how about we enjoy some of Gotham's finest. It'd be rude to refuse."
"Danny's right, Mads," Jack said, agreeing with his son.
"Well…" Maddie said as she thought about it. "Alright, we accept, Mr. Wayne."
"Call me Bruce," Bruce said with a smile. Now that Danny knows who he is, that smile looked so creepy. "Is there a problem, Mr. Fenton?"
"Oh, nothing, Mr. Wayne," Danny said with a chuckle. "Just thought of something funny."
The two laughed, causing a lot of tension between them, that almost anyone was oblivious to.
Later…
"To our new partnership," Bruce said as he raised his glass. "Let's make the world a better place."
"Cheers!" Jack, Maddie, Lucius, Jazz and Danny exclaimed as they clinked their glasses together. They were at the fanciest restaurant in the city, all dressed in fancy clothes, except Jack, who just put a black tie on. Jazz was wearing a light blue, spaghetti strap dress, Maddie was wearing a dark blue, strapless dress, and Danny was wearing a dark blue suit.
Waiters laid down a lot of delicious, mouthwatering food in the big, round table and they dug in.
"This is delicious!" Maddie said as she held her cheek as she chewed on some Wagyu beef.
"I'll say!" Jack agreed as he turned to the waiters. "Hey, another plate, buddy!"
Bruce simply laughed, so did Lucius, the kids just sighed, but they also enjoyed the meal. They never thought they would eat something like this before.
"I really am looking forward in working with you," Lucius said to Jack and Maddie. "I've seen your inventions, and I am very impressed."
"Oh, thank you, Mr. Fox," Maddie said with a smile. "And we can't wait to work with you, too."
"Yeah!" Jack agreed. "I can't wait to see all the cool stuff we'll build together! Maybe we can even get started on the Ecto-Skeleton!"
The group continued eating and chatting, drinking wine or eating desserts. Danny, who feels so full he would burst, was walking on the balcony, a glass of sparking apple juice in his hand, leaning on the ledge. He looked at the city, which was dazzled with neon lights. The place really was dazzling, despite the high crime rates it had.
He then saw someone stopped next to him, so he turned and saw Bruce Wayne, a glass of champagne.
"Enjoying some fresh air?" Bruce asked the young man.
"Yeah, it was getting stuffy in there," Danny said with a chuckle.
The two then just stood there, enjoying the peace and cool, night breeze.
"So…how'd you find out?" Danny asked, turning to the older man.
"You shouldn't talk private things with your enemy in front of others," Bruce said as he leaned his back on the ledge. "It wasn't hard to piece it together once you have the right pieces."
"You really are the World's Greatest Detective," Danny said with a smile before it dropped. "…Are you going to tell them?"
"Tell who? Your family, or the team?" Bruce asked, his voice changing to Batman's.
"…"
"…I don't have the right," Batman said as he looked at the young boy. "It's your privacy, not mine. If you want them to know, then you'll tell them yourself."
"Thanks," Danny said with a sigh. "But still, can't believe that Playboy Philanthropist Billionaire is the brooding Dark Knight. Rich people have weird lives."
Bruce merely chuckled at that before raising his glass. Danny looked at it before raising his glass as well.
"Cheers to secrets," Danny said as the two drank to that.
After that magnificent dinner, the family went back to the hotel to retire for the night. Jack and Maddie immediately went to bed, having drinking too much. Jazz was watching T.V., frying her hair. She heard the bathroom door open, and out came Danny, drying his hair.
She saw the bruise on his chest just barely hidden in his shirt before he put a towel around his neck.
"Man, that was a good bath," he said with a sigh as he walked to his room. "Well, goodnight, Jazz."
"Hey, Danny," she said as she stood up.
"Yeah?" Danny said, looking at her. "Something wrong?"
"I…" Jazz said as she looked at her brother. "I don't think you should be doing this hero business anymore! It's dangerous! You'll get yourself killed! If you won't stop, I'll tell Mom and Dad!"
"…I had a great time," she said with a smile.
"Yeah, me too," Danny said with a grin before he yawned. "Well, night."
Jazz watched him closed the door in his room, sighing to herself. She sat down and rubbed her head.
"It's his secret, not mine," she said to herself with a sigh as she turned off the T.V.
The Next Day…
"Have a safe trip home," Bruce said as he came by to bid his guests goodbye.
"Thank you, Bruce," Maddie said as her family stood in front of the RV.
"Talk to you soon, Brucy!" Jack said as he got in the driver's seat.
"Thanks for everything, Mr. Wayne," Jazz said as she got on the RV.
"Well, have a good day, Mr. Wayne," Danny said as he and Bruce shook hands. "Guess I'll see you at work, Bats."
"Try not to be late," Batman said quietly as they stopped shaking hands.
Danny just smirked before he got on the RV. Bruce watched them go before he got in his black car, where an elderly man dressed like a driver waited for him.
"Where to now, sir?" he said in a British accent.
"Take me back home, Alfred," Bruce said. "I got some work to do."
Now that he had some anti-Ghost Tech, he can finally upgrade some of his gadgets. After what Bane wanted to do, he was worried that others would try what the Joker did.
"Very well, sir," Alfred said as he drove the car towards Wayne Mansion.
And finish! Well, hope you liked this small team up. Danny found out the greatest secret of Gotham City by accident, and the Fentons got a partnership with billionaire Bruce Wayne. How will this effect Fenton Works? Bruce also got some Fenton tech, which can give him an edge against Ghosts. Also, we got a few Easter Eggs, at least, I think they're Easter Eggs.
