I know I'm so late with the update, sorry, but life is full of struggles, but I somehow overcame those struggles. So here you go, a new chapter for Ghostly Leaguer! Last chapter, Batman and Phantom fought Bane, learned each other's secret identity and Danny learned he can speak Spanish.

This is also the twentieth chapter, so hurrah!

Oh, and Happy Holidays. Man, the year just flew by, huh?

Enjoy then.

Chapter 20: Tabula Rasa Part I

In an abandoned lab underneath the outskirts of Metropolis, Lex Luthor was busy studying something he was lucky to come across, the damaged body of Brainiac.

He smirked, thinking that some power from above was finally giving him the chance he deserved. It all started when he managed to escape prison, using his genius to turn the old television set and radio into both a hologram projector and a high-tech sonic drill to make a tunnel to escape. And somehow, just as he was within the southside edge of Metropolis, something fell from the sky in a ball of flames, nearly hitting him.

When the smoke and dust cleared, he looked at the crater and was astounded to find the damaged body of Brainiac.

And then, with the help of his loyal subordinate, Mercy, he managed to cover up everything while taking Brainiac's body to one of his secret labs.

Right now, he plans to study Brainiac's advanced, alien body, to see if he can create one for his own and transfer his mind to it. Not only will he finally rid of this dying, weak, Kryptonite-poisoned body, but he will finally have a body worthy of his intelligence.

"Now, let's see what makes you tick," Luthor as he picked up a scanner, using it to scan the broken body of Brainiac. "Hm…as expected, your body is made of some unknown alien material, stronger than the hardest steel, yet lighter than any metal on Earth, which means you can take a few hits from Superman, and return the strikes. And the circuits and boards are like nerves and organs, but more refined, making you react superhuman fast. Truly a body worthy of my mind. Now, for your brain. What vast knowledge is stored within your dead body?"

He grabbed a universal connector from his computer and connected it to the socket on Brainiac's head.

The moment he did that, Brainiac's eyes suddenly glowed, and his computer and everything connected to it started malfunctioning.

"What the Devil!?" he exclaimed as he looked at all the electronic gear in the lab, going crazy before exploding. When he turned around, he suddenly saw the destroyed body of Brainiac sitting straight, looking at him with dead eyes.

Frightened and shock, Luthor ran towards the door as Brainiac lifted his remaining arm and fired, hitting him from the back just as he reached the door. As soon as the beam hit, Brainiac's body became limp again, his eyes dimming.

Luthor groaned as he rubbed his head before he managed to get out of the burning room. He wasn't hurt, but he felt strange.

"Blast it all," he growled as he quickly put on his armor. Because of the computer exploding, the shields protecting him from the Justice League's radar has been destroyed, making him vulnerable to be seek. "I need to get away, quickly!"

Ten Minutes Earlier…

In the streets of Metropolis, the Batmobile was cruising through the streets, with some people pointing and taking pictures, since it was rare for the Dark Knight to be in the city protected by the Man of Steel.

Sitting shotgun was Phantom, looking through the windows, watching as they blurred through the streets.

"So, got any clues where Luthor might be hiding?" Phantom asked, looking at the Dark Knight.

"A few, but I don't think he'll go there," Batman said as he kept his eyes on the road. "Use everything you know about Luthor, his accomplishments, mistakes, personality, obsessions, and then think of how those connect to find where he could be hiding."

Phantom hummed as he went back to thinking.

It's been three weeks since Danny Fenton received a school-credit internship from Wayne Industries, courtesy of his parent's new business partner, since he said that he saw a lot of potential in Danny and wants him to reach it.

His parents and sister encouraged him to accept, so he did, since he needed the extra credits, so he could pass high school.

But when he got to Gotham, he learned that the internship wasn't what he thought it was. He learned that Batman actually wanted to train Phantom for a while, since after the fight with Bane, he saw that Phantom had potential, but was a little rough around the edges.

So, for the week he stayed there, he was Batman's temporary sidekick, watching and learning from the Dark Knight. He had to admit, it was hard, grueling work these past weeks. The man made him do Spartan training in his human form, saying he relied too much on his powers. He made him run laps, push-ups, sit-ups, squats and sparring with Batman.

Safe to say, he collapsed and threw up the first few days. But after a while, he got used to the brutal training, though he hadn't beaten Batman in a single spar.

It wasn't just physical training, Batman had Phantom use his mind more, teaching him to think like a detective. He made Danny solve difficult puzzles and riddles, made him recite every fallacies and theories.

He never felt his brain throb so much, but he felt a little smarter than before, which was saying something, being a C-minus student.

Then they're training was interrupted when they heard that Luthor escaped prison again. And then here they were in the Batmobile, trying to look where Luthor could be hiding. The others were in the city too, since the last time Luthor got out, he almost killed them with his team of hired supervillains.

"Hm…wait…Luthor's a pretty smart guy," Phantom said as he spotted LexCorp tower, one of the tallest towers in the city. "So smart that maybe he knew we would look for him in big places…so he would hide somewhere less conspicuous. Any small streets in Metropolis, ones where people like Luthor wouldn't normally go to?"

Batman looked at the small computer on the dashboard, showing a map of Metropolis. After a few seconds, a location was showed.

"Suicide Slum," Batman replied, setting the coordinates to the Batmobile's GPS.

"…That's a map of Metropolis, right?" Phantom asked as the car drove through the streets.

"Yes," Batman replied.

"And we're going to a place called Suicide Slum?"

"Yes."

"…Guess even a clean place like Metropolis has something like that," Phantom commented.

"Don't be fooled by how clean and glamorous it looks," Batman said. "Everything and everyone have something to hide."

"…Well, I guess you would know that, huh?" Phantom said with a grin as they made it to the street. "Then again, me and everyone in the League have secrets, well, maybe except for J'onn."

Suddenly, when they reached Suicide Slum, an explosion caught their attention. Batman drove the car to the explosion and when they got there, they saw Lex Luthor in his armor, hurriedly flying away.

"Seems like your deduction was spot on," Batman commented before he noticed that Phantom was gone. "Hm. So that's what it feels like."

He then reached for the communicator in his ear. "Batman to Justice League. Lex Luthor has been spotted flying over the southside of Metropolis. Phantom is in pursuit."

Phantom was in the air, flying after Lex Luthor, who seem to have taken notice of him.

"So, they decided to send the runt?" he exclaimed as he fired at Phantom, who simply flew around it.

"Runt? Wow, never been called that before," he called as he dodged the beams. "How about you just give up before you get beat up, again."

Luthor frowned and fired at Phantom again, but he blocked it with a Ghost shield. When he lowered the shield, a small sphere was suddenly in front of him. Acting quickly, turned intangible as the sphere exploded, sending a strong flash of light, blinding Phantom.

Luthor smirked as he increased his speed, taking advantage of Phantom's temporary blindness. Before he could enjoy his short-lived brilliance, an electric mace was flying towards him, hitting him on the chest. He stumbled for a little before regaining his balance.

He looked and saw that it was Hawkgirl, and behind her was Green Lantern. He cursed before he spotted Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter arriving from the left side. He knew it was only a matter of time before Superman himself arrives. He needed to get away, quickly.

"Give up, Luthor," Green Lantern said, stopping beside Hawkgirl, his ring raised. "You're surrounded."

"Why should I give up, when I have the upper hand?" Luthor said with a smirk before he fired at Hawkgirl and Green Lantern, causing Green Lantern to make a shield to block it.

Luthor took that time to fly away from them. Hawkgirl growled before following him, with Green Lantern right beside her. Soon, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter caught up.

"He is determined as always," Martian Manhunter commented in his usual deadpanned voice.

"That would be an admirable trait, if he wasn't using it to destroy us," Wonder Woman commented.

Wonder Woman suddenly increased speed as she grabbed her lasso. She then threw it towards Luthor, catching his leg. Luthor, who felt something pulling his leg, looked and saw the lasso. He then grabbed the golden rope and released some electricity that traveled through the lasso, hitting Wonder Woman.

She screamed before the lasso released a small shockwave that pushed Wonder Woman towards the group, hitting Green Lantern and Hawkgirl. Martian Manhunter managed to avoid the collision and continued his pursuit on Luthor.

Luthor flew around the tall buildings in hope of losing the Martian, but he simple phased through them, getting to Luthor faster. Just as Martian Manhunter was getting closer, Luthor saw a barbeque party happening on a rooftop condo.

With a smirk, he flew towards it, with Martian Manhunter right on his tail. Luthor flew through the crowd, shocking them as they ducked and jump aside, and right above the grill, he threw something. When Martian Manhunter got above the grill, it suddenly exploded, releasing a torrent of flame that hit him.

He screamed in agony as his body was covered in fire. He quickly ran towards the pool, extinguishing the flames.

Meanwhile, Luthor was smirking, thinking he has evaded all the flyers, except for Superman, but by the time Man of Steel gets here, he'll be safely hidden awa-.

"Surprise!" Phantom exclaimed as he suddenly appeared in front of Luthor and punched him on the chest, destroying the chest plate that was keeping the affliction at bay and powering up his armor.

With the armor's power source gone, Luthor started falling towards the street, feeling the pain from his affliction. Phantom flew after him, to grab him, but Luthor used the remaining power his suit has and fired, both propelling him away from Phantom and hitting the halfa, sending him away from him.

Luthor landed in an alley, hitting the dumpster, scaring a few cats and rats. Groaning in pain, Luthor slowly stood up and started walking as fast as he could.

Just as he reached the end of the alley, a black limousine suddenly stopped in front of him, the passenger side was opened and a figure quickly walked out, helping Luthor up.

"Quick, get in," she said in a hurried tone as she helped Luthor inside the limousine, which drove away once he was inside.

Later…

Phantom, Flash, Batman, Superman and some police were gathered to the last place Luthor was seen landing while Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl and Green Lantern were searching through the city. Aside from the toppled garbage, there was no sign of Luthor. The police were either keeping people at bay while looking for some eyewitnesses.

"Geez, how did he get away so fast?" Flash asked as he scratched his head.

"Not sure," Phantom said as he looked for some clues. "I know I destroyed his chest plate. That would have shut down his armor, so he wouldn't escape."

Phantom then noticed something on the ground. Kneeling on the ground, he spotted some faint marks on the ground.

"Hey, I found something!" he called to his fellow heroes.

They walked towards him and saw the faint marks. Batman used the lenses on his mask and saw that it was faint skid marks, and they were leading somewhere.

"Flash, go search through the city in these locations and report what you find," Flash saluted and disappeared in a red blur.

"What are we going to do?" Phantom asked.

"We're going to see the CEO of LexCorp," Batman said. "Mercy Graves."

LexCorp…

At the top room of LexCorp, a woman wearing a business suit and skirt with long, brownish blond hair, was doing some paperwork. As she wrote her signature on the tenth paper, she heard some shuffling feet.

"What can I do for you today?" she asked in a bored tone as she swiveled her chair and saw two familiar faces, though the third one was new.

"Where's Luthor?" Batman asked with Phantom and Superman flanking behind him.

"So that's how intangibility feels," Superman whispered, still feeling a little tingly.

"Yeah, you get used to it," Phantom whispered as Mercy Graves sighed and put her pen down to look at the three invading her office.

"Why do you think I have anything to do with his recent escape?" Mercy Graves asked, raising an eyebrow while crossing her arms.

"Who else would he go to but his most loyal employee?" Batman said, causing Mercy to give an unlady-like snort.

"Please, I wash my hands off him when he got arrested," she said in a dismissive tone. "Why would I do something that would jeopardize my career as CEO of the richest company in the world?"

Batman glared at Mercy, who didn't back down. After a minute, he turned around and walked towards his companions.

"Just know that if there's even a single evidence that you're still involved with Luthor, it won't end well for you," Batman said ominously. Suddenly, the three disappeared, causing Mercy's eyes to widen in surprise.

After a while, she took a deep breath to calm herself and sat back on her chair. She looked at her paperwork before she moved it slightly and tapped on the desk, causing a screen to reveal hidden in the desk, showing a map, and a red dot where Luthor was located.

She sighed, not knowing why she saved her former, villainous boss, who treated her very poorly. Perhaps she just wanted to repay him for taking her from the streets, like a stray dog that he describes her often.

Meanwhile, in the alley beside LexCorp, Batman and Superman looked at Phantom, who landed on the dumpster, which was thankfully closed.

"Ow…need to work on that," he muttered as he stood up, rubbing his back. With a combination of spreading invisibility and intangibility, Phantom tried to make the three disappear in thin air without touching them. The older heroes didn't have any problem landing on their feet from a very tall building, but Phantom still need some practice. "So, what now?"

"We wait," he said as they walked towards the Batmobile.

"Oooooh. Always wanted to do a stake out," Phantom commented as he sat back. "Got any snacks? It could be a while."

"No."

"…Want me to buy some? I think there's a café a few blocks from here."

Later…

Above the city, the pair of Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter were searching through the city, looking for Luthor. Martian Manhunter was using his mindreading powers to look for Luthor, but got nothing. The Martian could only hear people a few feet away, and none of them were pleasant.

"Man, I hate my boss! I should break his stupid car!"

"Tsk. Look at this guy, drooling at that skank."

"That nasty old hag is gonna pay! I'm gonna steal that stupid necklace of hers!"

"Stupid jerk! He spilled ketchup over my new dress!"

"Why did I go out with this chick? Oh yeah, to get her hot friend to like me."

"Ew, what a loser. As long as he does my homework, I'll let him stand close to me."

"J'onn, are you alright?" Martian Manhunter mentally jumped as he looked at a worried Wonder Woman. "You were spacing out."

"I was using my Martian abilities to look for Luthor, but there are too many people," Martian Manhunter said, hiding what he heard from their minds.

"I am sure we can find him," Wonder Woman said. "Oh, Danny told me about your new ward. Megan, I believe her name is. How is she adjusting to Man's World?"

"She is adjusting well," Martian Manhunter said. "She has quickly adapted to living on Earth faster than I have."

"That is good to hear," Wonder Woman before a sad smile came to her friends. She suddenly remembered the little sister she used to spend time with before her exile. She saw her among the crowd before she was exiled by their mother, crying as she watched Wonder Woman go.

She quickly shook it off, focusing on the mission at hand.

"Perhaps you could spread your telepathic powers further?" Wonder Woman suggested. "We could locate Luthor more efficiently."

"…I will try," Martian Manhunter said before he closed his eyes and put his hands on his temples. Focusing, he expanded his mind reading powers. Soon, he could hear across the city, and they were not all pleasant thoughts.

"I'm gonna break into that store and rob that old croon blind!"

"Stupid alien! He should go back to that dead planet where he belongs!"

"Where's my knife!? I'm gonna rob some people on the streets tonight!"

"Hehehe, with this picture, I can blackmail that moron for all the money he has."

"Who does he think he is, blowing me off!? He's getting fired tomorrow!"

"Ngk…stop…" Martian Manhunter said as the voices become unbearable.

"J'onn?" Wonder Woman said in a worried tone as the Martian's expression become frightened.

"Steal!"

"Kill!"

"Burn!"

"Break!"

"Liar!"

"Aaagh!" Martian Manhunter exclaimed, shocking Wonder Woman. Before she could do something, Martian Manhunter flew away as fast as he can.

"J'onn!" Wonder Woman exclaimed as the Martian flew as fast as he can, so fast that Wonder Woman couldn't react fast enough to follow him. "Wait!"

Meanwhile…

In a dark estate, Lex Luthor was walking through the living room, looking for the one scientist he believed could help him, Professor Ivo, one of his company's former best scientists, the leading expert of robotics. Though he was fired when Mercy took over the company, to save money, he was able to live comfortably in his estate.

Luthor, after being rescued by Mercy and given first aid and repairs, was directed to this estate when he said he was looking for him, in hopes of repairing his chest plate, maybe even improve it to cure him.

"Ivo?" he called through the dark house, confused. Trying to see through the dark, he spotted a figure sitting on a velvet club chair. He walked towards the lamp and turned it on. Adjusting to the sudden brightness, he was greeted with the sight of a gray-skinned Ivo, unmoving and not breathing, with a used cigarette on his lap. "Hm…seems like smoking finally caught you. Ngk…And maybe I'm not so far behind."

He noticed something dangling on the corpse's neck, an entrance card of some sorts. Raising an eyebrow, he took the card from his neck. He was already here, might as well used the man's tech to fix his chest plate.

Using the scanner on his armor, he started searching for a hidden lab Ivo has hidden in his estate. The scanner then beeped as it found something.

"Of course, it'll be under the mansion," he said in a scoffing tone before walking towards the hidden entrance behind the bookshelf, which opened by pulling on a book connected to the switch, revealing an elevator.

After riding the elevator down, he found himself in a lab full of tools and robotic parts, though he found nothing that could help him repair his chest plate. He could feel his ailment paining him, though the small, rush repairs were prolonging the problems, but it was only a matter of time.

"Blast it all," he said as he slammed his fist on a table, scattering some robot parts. "Nothing here can help me, and it'll only be a matter of time before those blasted heroes find me."

As he thought about what to do next, a joint ball rolled across the floor and entered a room. It hit something, making a noise that caught Lex's attention.

He looked at the dark room, and since he couldn't find something useful here, he might as well check what was inside.

He entered the dark room and saw the ball joint next to something covered in a white cloth. He walked towards it and removed the cloth and was surprised as a pair of red eyes stared at him, scanning him. He saw a huge silver, humanoid figure, a few feet taller than him.

"Well?" Luthor asked as the robot finished scanning him, thinking that it was going to kill him. "It's not like I have some time left."

And then, before his very eyes, the robot's face started morphing, like melted mercury, until Luthor was looking at his face.

Back in Metropolis…

Martian Manhunter landed on top of the church, breathing heavily as he tried to stop the voices, but he was still hearing them. So many wicked thoughts. Was this how humanity really is? Selfish, wicked and wishing to cause harm to others, worrying only for themselves and no one else?

He needed to get away, to somewhere quiet, void of any humans.

He then flew through the night sky, ignoring Wonder Woman looking for him, calling his name.

Ivo's Estate…

"So, Ivo called you AMAZO?" Luthor said, wearing a lab coat as he attempted to properly fix his chest plate, the giant AMAZO looking outside the window, staring at the night sky, his face back to being blank with red, beady eyes. Thanks to the equipment he founded near AMAZO, he could finally fix his suit.

"Yes," it said as it looked at Lex Luthor. "When will the professor wake up? He hasn't seen me in days now."

"Never," Luthor said, fixing the chest plate. "You will never see him again."

"But I have to," AMAZO said in an urgent tone.

Luthor stopped with the repairs as a devious smirk appeared on his face before he hid it with a look of sadness, weakly walking towards AMAZO.

"You miss him, do you?" he said, putting a comforting hand on the giant's back, who just stared at him. "So do I. He was one of my best friends, we were almost like brothers. And I'm sure he would have wanted me to look after you in his place. Though I might not have enough time."

Luthor looked at his suit before at the intrigue AMAZO, mentally smirking that he has the naïve android hooked.

"If I am to live alongside you, I need your help."

Later…

Hawkgirl was flying through the south side of the city, looking for any clues on Lex Luthor's whereabouts. So far, she had no luck.

Suddenly, her comm started making contact. She turned it on and heard the panic voice of Wonder Woman.

"Wonder Woman to anyone within reach, something is wrong with J'onn! He suddenly panic and left. I can't find him!"

"I'll see if I ca-," Hawkgirl said before an alarm caught her attention. She turned to its direction, narrowing her eyes. "Hang on, I might have something."

She ended communications and flew towards the source of the alarms, which was a science facility. When she got there, she saw a big figure tearing off the electric fence and throwing it to the guards pursuing it, causing them to retreat and call for back up. As it started to walk away, Hawkgirl landed in front of it, blocking its path.

"Where do you think you're going, big guy?" she asked before noticing the yellow cannister on its hands. The android started running the other side. Hawkgirl quickly flew towards it and shoulder tackled its leg, causing it to fall, dropping the cannister, which Hawkgirl picked up. "Now, what do you want with this?"

AMAZO looked at Hawkgirl before scanning her, taking note of her wings and Nth metal mace. It then stood up and suddenly, wings formed on his back, as well as a mace, causing Hawkgirl's eyes to widen.

Before she could react, AMAZO tackled her the same way she tackled him, pushing the two of them back through the broken fence and causing Hawkgirl to drop the cannister and hit some oil cans.

Hawkgirl quickly recovered and flew towards AMAZO, striking with her mace. AMAZO flew to the air as well, blocking with his mace. Sparks flew as their maces made contact before AMAZO gave a strong hit that almost sent Hawkgirl to the ground. She quickly recovered and flew towards AMAZO, before she flew down and up towards AMAZO's back, striking the surprise android and sending it back to the ground, crashing on the electric fence.

"Didn't figure on that one, did you?" she said with a smirk as she landed in front of AMAZO, who had a large portion of the electric fence on it. Just as she was about to land, AMAZO threw the fence around Hawkgirl, shocking her from the remaining electricity inside and wrapping around her, trapping her.

AMAZO then stood up and walked towards the groaning Hawkgirl. She opened her eyes and struggled to get out of the fence. AMAZO simply stared at her, not knowing what to do with her, it felt something hitting its back.

It turned and saw the guards returning with two more, using the oil cans as coverage as they fired at it. One of them picked up the yellow cannister. AMAZO quickly flew towards him, knocking the guards off their feet as it grabbed the cannister and flew away, leaving Hawkgirl and the guards alone.

Hawkgirl watched the hulking figure fly away, narrowing her eyes.

Later…

Luthor was looking at the blueprints Ivo created on AMAZO and was intrigue by it. He was impressed on the new program he created, allowing the android to mimic anything it scanned perfectly with its nanobots.

He suddenly saw a shadow, causing him to turn to sliding doors and saw AMAZO, with wings, holding a mace and the object he needed, causing Luthor to smirk as AMAZO entered through the door, giving Luthor the cannister.

"It seems Ivo is right on the money with his duplication program," he said, taking note of the mace and wings. "I assume you ran into Hawkgirl?"

"The girl with wings? Yes," AMAZO replied as Luthor took the cannister.

"I take it that since you got away with this, she didn't fare too well," Luthor said as she held at the fuel cannister that could power up his suit before turning to AMAZO. "Is she still alive?"

"Yes," AMAZO replied, causing Luthor to release a sigh of disappointment. "What is wrong?"

Mentally smirking, Luthor walked towards the sliding door to stare out the night sky.

"Let me tell you about Justice League," he said, preparing to trick the robot. "They are a group of evil villains who tricked the populace. I am the only one who knows their true intention and has done anything I can to defeat them. Alas, my efforts were almost fruitless, as I have been afflicted and weakened, and now the Justice League will stop at nothing to end my life…That is why I need you to help me, AMAZO."

AMAZO looked at Luthor's back before clenching its robotic fists.

"The Justice League will not harm you, Lex." AMAZO said. "I will destroy them."

Luthor smirked as AMAZO exited the estate, to destroy the Justice League.

Meanwhile…

Martian Manhunter landed in the forest, panting and sweating heavily. He was finally able to hear himself clearly. Suddenly, his comm started beeping, but he shut it down.

Looking at the forest, he suddenly changed to his Martian form and walked through the darkening path. He needed time to clear his mind, to see why he chose to protect humanity.

He needed to be alone.

Metropolis…

"J'onn, pick up," Phantom said before he sighed. He turned to Batman and Superman, who had a cup of coffee in his hand. "Wonder what happened to him?"

"J'onn can take care of himself," Batman said. "Right now, we have to wait here."

"What about Hawkgirl's android?" Superman asked as he took a jelly donut from the box between them.

Earlier, they received some bad news. From Wonder Woman, they heard that J'onn suddenly flew away, and he cut off communications, so they have no idea where he is. And from Hawkgirl, an android stole something from one of the facilities and beat her.

"The others will have to find it," Batman said, turning to Phantom. "Focus on the current mission. If you try too much, you'll miss vital information."

Phantom nodded before he leaned back and grabbed a chocolate glazed donut while Superman looked at the two, amused.

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman was finishing bandaging Hawkgirl's injuries with Flash standing next to them. They were on top of a building in the middle of the city after receiving a call from Hawkgirl.

"So, the robot had wings and a mace like you?" Flash asked as Hawkgirl nodded.

"Just like me," Hawkgirl said. "Scary, huh?"

"Whoever build this android must have you in mind," Wonder Woman said.

"Yeah…it even acted like me," Hawkgirl said, remembering how vicious and crafty the android was.

"Wow, that is scary," Flash said with a smirk.

Wonder Woman suddenly noticed something on the streets, causing her to look down.

"This android…is it ten feet tall, looking like it's made of silver?" she asked, causing Hawkgirl to look surprise as she and Flash walked towards her.

"Yes…how do you know?" Hawkgirl asked, and Wonder Woman pointed down at the streets, causing the two to look.

There, they saw AMAZO beating several police officers, easily overpowering them, throwing them around like ragdolls.

Wonder Woman quickly flew towards it and threw her lasso towards the android, causing it to look surprise, before hoisting it with her through the air. Once they were off the streets, she slammed the android to another rooftop.

AMAZO stood up and looked up at Wonder Woman, its eyes lighting up to scan her powers and abilities. It then grabbed the lasso, pulling Wonder Woman to the ceiling, surprising her by how strong it was. Hawkgirl, who was carrying Flash, arrived and landed next to the struggling Wonder Woman.

"You forgot to mention that it was as strong as me!" Wonder Woman said through gritted teeth.

"It wasn't before," Hawkgirl said, surprised on how strong the android became as Wonder Woman was being pulled towards the android. As she was close enough, a mace appeared on AMAZO's hand and attempted to hit her, before a green blast blindsided AMAZO, causing it to slam into an air conditioner, releasing Wonder Woman.

It looked up and saw Green Lantern aiming his ring at it. AMAZO scanned him, studying the ring. Unknown to the gathering heroes, a silver ring similar to Green Lantern's morphed into its finger. It acted dead, letting the heroes get close to it, before it suddenly blindsided them with a green wall. Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl slammed into a billboard that fell on them while Flash just hit the edge.

Seeing that his friends are down, Flash glared at AMAZO before running towards it. Flash ran circles around the android, sending quick punches, though it seemed to annoy the robot. It tried to hit Flash, but he avoided its strikes.

Flash circled around AMAZO before charging forward. AMAZO quickly used the ring to make a slide that made Flash run off course, causing him slam into a wall. AMAZO walked towards Flash and picked him up, scanning him.

The others finally got the billboard off them and saw what happened to Flash. Hawkgirl quickly flew towards the android, who dropped Flash and suddenly disappeared, only to reappear next to a shock Hawkgirl, crossing its arm.

"Didn't figure on that one, did you?" it said in a cocky tone toward the shocked Hawkgirl and punched her, making her land on her back.

Before it could do something, Green Lantern tackled AMAZO, sending them off the roof. Green Lantern created a giant fist that made AMAZO tumble in the air before wings sprouted from its back to steady itself and charged at Green Lantern with a mace, sending him flying.

Wonder Woman charged and punched the android's head, causing it to stumble. It looked at Wonder Woman before aiming the ring towards her and started firing. Wonder Woman started blocking and deflecting with her silver bracelets. AMAZO noticed and started rapid firing, sending small, but faster, blasts instead. Wonder Woman was able to quickly block the shots, but one hit her face, knocking her out and sending her falling, only to be caught by Green Lantern.

Green Lantern quickly made a shield, blocking a blast from AMAZO's ring that sent them down the street, creating a crater. He could feel himself straining as AMAZO landed in front of them, still firing at the duo.

Meanwhile, the trio of Batman, Superman and Phantom were still near LexCorp, still monitoring Mercy Graves.

"Still nothing?" Phantom asked.

"Just be patient," Batman said. "She'll give away Luthor's location sooner or later."

When he said that, his monitor suddenly lit up, showing a call Mercy Graves received. The three looked and the number was identified as Professor Anthony Ivo.

"Ivo…who's that?" Phantom asked, not recognizing the name.

"He's a scientist that worked for Luthor, when he was still CEO of LexCorp," Superman explained, remembering the name before looking at Batman. "A business call?"

"Not likely," Batman said digging up information on Ivo. "LexCorp let him go when Mercy Graves became CEO, and he's an MD, something Luthor would be need right now…One more thing, Ivo's specialty is nanotechnology."

As soon as he said that, they received an emergency call.

"Green Lantern to Batman! We found Hawkgirl's robot!"

"Where are you?" Batman asked.

"Don't even think about showing up!" Green Lantern warned, his voice strained. "It can somehow copy our powers just by looking at us! You come here, you'll only make it stronger!"

"We can't just stay here!" Superman exclaimed.

"That's exactly what you're going to-AGH!" communication with Green Lantern suddenly ended as the three looked at each other.

"Well? Let's go!" Superman said in an urgent tone.

"We need a plan first," Batman said with narrowed eyes.

"…Green Lantern said it copies power just by looking," Phantom said, getting the two's attention. "What happens if it can't see us?"

Batman and Superman looked at each other before back at Phantom as he told them his plans.

Later…

Green Lantern was still protecting him and Wonder Woman with the green dome, but now AMAZO was using an electric mace to smash the dome, causing Green Lantern to grit his teeth as he concentrated on the shield, but powered with the strength of Wonder Woman, the dome started cracking until it finally broke.

Green Lantern fell on his back by the impact, leaving him and Wonder Woman vulnerable. Just as AMAZO was about to finish them off before it was suddenly smacked away by something. It turned around but saw nothing. Suddenly, something punched its face, sending it flying to the sky.

"Hey, don't move so fast!" Phantom exclaimed as he held on to Superman's back, using his powers to keep the two of them invisible. "I can't keep you invisible if I'm not touching you."

"Just hold on tight," Superman said before flying towards the confused AMAZO, sending punches, trying to destroy the android. Superman kept punching it until they reached a construction site. There, Superman grabbed the android and slammed it to a couple of metal beams. Superman then threw it to the ground, grabbed a heavy pipe and started smashing AMAZO until it was no longer moving. Superman and Phantom looked at it before Phantom ended the invisibility and let go of Superman.

"Remind me not to do that again," Phantom said, feeling like he just experienced his dad driving with him not wearing any seatbelts.

"At least your plan worked," Superman said as he patted Phantom on the shoulder. "Good work, Phantom."

"Thanks," Phantom said with a grin. "Now, let's take this android and see what it ca-AGH!"

Phantom was suddenly blasted by a green blast that sent him a few feet away. Surprised look at AMAZO but got hit with a mace to the head. A little daze, Superman couldn't prevent AMAZO from scanning him, gaining his powers.

Superman got his bearings and saw AMAZO, now with his symbol on its chest. He flew towards it and throw a punch, something AMAZO copied. The punch sent a shockwave that blew the debris away from them. Superman then threw an uppercut that sent AMAZO to the sky and he flew towards it, but AMAZO countered with a punch to the right cheek, followed by a hammer strike to the head.

When Superman looked back at AMAZO, the android suddenly grew wings, a mace appeared on its hand and a ring on its finger. Superman narrowed his eyes and charged.

While they were fighting, Phantom slowly stood up and looked at the two fighting in the sky. He then reached for his comm.

"Batman, we need a plan B."

Aaaaand cliffhanger. I'm sorry for the long update delay. With work and some school, it got tough to update. But now I have winter break, I can have some time for fanfics, though don't get your hopes up. Updates will still take a loooong time.

Okay, so I did it kinda different to the episode. I tried to play it on memory and YouTube clips. Hope I did alright.

Recap, Luthor found Brainiac's body, did not go well for him, he ran away from the JL, got his chest plate crack, was rescued by his former employee, found Ivo's dead body and then tricked a naïve android to destroy the Justice League. Meanwhile, Phantom, who was dupe into training with Batman, was doing a stakeout with two of the best heroes in DC, and then a reference to a favorite YouTube channel. And our favorite Martian hero is doing some soul searching.

Anyway, next chapter, AMAZO vs the Justice League, part 2!

See you later and have a Happy Holidays!
