Man, I'm almost close to 1k reviews. I can almost taste it. Taste like 900 reviews. Alright, time to continue the story. Last time, Dr. Destiny got a date with destiny, and by destiny, I mean the Justice League. Reason I didn't follow how it went with the cartoon is simple, wanted to make it feel original without being too original because it isn't really original.
I just blew your minds, didn't I? Or did I? Did you?
Well, let's go before I type anymore nonsense. Feel free to review, fav or follow. But seriously, review. I'm almost to having the three 1k's. 1k reviews, 1k favorite and 1k follows.
Chapter 23: Nightmare Doctor
Everything was perfect in Metropolis. The sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky, there was no traffic, and all the people were safe. Superman was flying through the air, a smile on his face as he looked at his city.
Times like these are the reason why he enjoyed being a hero, to see the people on Earth safe and happy, because they felt safe when he was around. And not just him, he also had his friends to help, people like him, to protect this world.
"Help!"
Superman quickly looked, using his super vision. He saw a couple of children on the hospital room, and he saw one boy hanging on the fence, holding on for dear life, crying for help. Suddenly, he couldn't hold on anymore and lost his grip. He screamed as he fell towards the ground, the people gasping in shock. Just as he was about to land, a red and blue blur flew towards him and carried him back to the roof.
The children watched as Superman gently carried the child and putting him down on the roof.
"Wow!" the children cheered as they looked at Superman.
"You kids shouldn't be playing like that," Superman said in a stern voice. "It's dangerous."
"I'm sorry, Mr. Superman," the boy he rescued said in a sad voice, looking teary eyes. "I…I just wanted to see what it would be like to fly like you."
Superman looked at the boy, whose eyes were covered in tears. With a smile, he picked up the boy and let him sit on his shoulder.
"Well, if you want to fly like me, then hold on tight," Superman said before he floated to the air and increased his speed, letting the boy cheer.
As they flew across the sky, he didn't notice the boy's face changing into Dr. Destiny's face, a smirk on his skinless lips.
…
Everything was peaceful in Athens, Greece; the night was quiet, and the stars were shining brightly in the dark sky. Diana was peacefully walking through the shore, enjoying the salty air and the quiet laps of the waves. There was no supervillain, no criminals, no Earth ending plot, just a calm night for her to enjoy.
Times like this was rare, so she made it a point to enjoy it when she could. A nice, peaceful walk on the beach reminded her of her home. She smiled sadly, the idea of being exiled from her birthplace still hurting her.
She looked at the stars, wondering how her mother was. She used to enjoy a walk like this with her, telling her stories, using the stars to paint the scenarios.
Suddenly, she heard someone crying. She looked around and saw a little girl, about eight, crying on the beach. She walked towards her, a worried expression on her face. She had brown hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a dark blue blouse and black shoes.
"Are you okay, little sister?" she asked as she knelt beside the girl.
"I…don't know where mommy is," the little cried, hiccupping a little.
"Do not cry, little sister," Diana said gently as she took the girl's hand. "I will help you find your mother."
The girl, sniffling and rubbing her eyes, accepted her help and let Diana pull her out of the beach. As Diana led the girl, she didn't see how the girl's face changed into Dr. Destiny's grinning face.
…
In the hospital of Central City, the sick children at the children's ward were happily laughing and clapping hands as Flash kept running around the room so fast that there seemed to be four of them; two was juggling twenty balls at each other, one was balancing five plates on sticks, and one was standing on a unicycle on one foot.
He grinned as the kids kept laughing and cheering. In a blur, all the Flashes disappeared with their props all neatly piled on a nearby table with Flash standing on the center, bowing at their applaud.
"That was awesome, Flash!"
"So cool!"
"You were super-duper fast!"
"Mr. Flash?" a little lady asked, getting Flash's attention. She was five years old, with yellow hair tied in pig tails.
"Yeah?" he asked with a small smile.
"Who's faster? You or Mr. Superman?" she asked with wide eyes full of curiosity.
"Well, not to brag, but I did outrun Superman during that charity event," Flash said with a smirk.
"Cool," the girl said before she started coughing. Flash looked worried as a nurse nearby walked towards her, giving her some water as she gently rubbed her back.
"Iris, it's almost time for your surgery," the nurse said.
"Okay…" the girl scared, looking scared.
"Hey…is there something I can do to make that frown go upside-down?" Flash asked.
"…Can you get my teddy bear?" she asked sweetly. "Mommy wouldn't let me bring Teddy Flash with me."
"Sure thing," Flash said, making her smile. "Where do you live?"
As the girl gave her address, the nurse smirked, her face changing into Dr. Destiny.
…
In a rundown neighborhood, John was wearing a pair of sweatpants and a loose shirt, dribbling a ball as he played with his old high school classmates. He swerved left before shooting a three pointer, getting the ball in with a 'swoosh!'.
"Still got it, huh, John," one of his friend said with a grin as he caught the ball, passing it back to John, who smirked. "So, what's been going on with you?"
"Nothing much," John said as he passed the ball to one of his friends. "Been doing some social services with some people."
"Oh?" one of his friends asked as he dribbled the ball. "Met anyone cute there?"
"Cute? Nah," John said as he stole the ball an went for a layout shot, getting it in. "She's a little intense sometimes."
"Oooh. The feisty type, huh?" one of them said as he grabbed the ball from the ground. "Not bad for a prude."
John as smirked as the ball was passed to him. Times like this was rare, so he took any advantage to rest and relax. He didn't plan to play with his old high school friends, but it was a welcome distraction.
"Oof!"
John turned and saw an elderly lady fall on the sidewalk, spilling the contents of her grocery bags. He passed the ball back to his friends as he went to help the old lady.
"Here, let me help," he asked as he knelt down and picked up the scattered goods.
"Why, thank you, sonny," the old lady said with a smile as he handed her the groceries bags. She winced as she took it, making John quickly grab the bag back from her. "Oh dear, it seems my arms are acting up again."
"Do you need help?" John asked.
"Well, if you don't mind," the old lady said. "I just live a few blocks from here. Thank you so much, sonny."
"No problem, ma'am," John said before he turned to his friends. "I'll be back. Try and get better while I'm gone."
His friends laughed before they continued playing. As John followed the old lady home, her face changed into Dr. Destiny's grinning face.
…
Hawkgirl was flying through the mountain tops, enjoying the fresh and crisp air. This was one of the few things she enjoyed about Earth, flying through the mountain air and Chinese takeout.
"Friend Shayera!"
Hawkgirl turned her head and saw her Tamaranean ward flying towards her, a gleeful expression on her face. It took a while for her to get used to watching over someone, but Starfire was good at adapting, even if she was a little eccentric.
Her food was also delicious.
"Koriand'r," Hawkgirl said with a small smile. "How are you enjoying the trip?"
She noticed the sad look on her new ward's face whenever she looked at the stars, so she took her to her usual hang out, a place where it made her feel at home.
"It is glorious!" Koriand'r exclaimed happily. "These mountains remind me of the terrain in my home planet. Though the air lacks the smell of fire and smoke, it is still most pleasing."
"I'm glad," Hawkgirl said with a smile. "This is the first place that made me feel at home. It shows that Earth can be home to anyone."
Hawkgirl saw a hawk flying nearby, smiling slightly. She didn't see Koriand'r's face changed into Dr. Destiny, grinning wickedly at her.
…
"This isn't good," Phantom said as he failed to get in touch with Wonder Woman before turning to Martian Manhunter. "She's not picking up either. Any luck with Superman?"
"…I found him, but we were too late," Martian Manhunter said as the glow in his eyes disappeared. "Dr. Destiny has already invaded his dreams."
"Then I guess he already got the others," Phantom said with a frown before touching his communicator. "Batman; can you give us the others' locations."
"Why do you think I know?" Batman asked.
"Because it's you," Phantom said in a deadpanned tone. Having spent a lot of time with the Dark Knight, he could see Batman knowing about everyone's daily life, including their secret identities and addresses.
"…Sending coordinates," Batman replied. "Flash and Hawkgirl are at the Watchtower. Wonder Woman is in Athens, Superman is just a flew blocks from your position, and Green Lantern is in Detroit."
"Thanks. Any leads on Dr. Dentist?" Phantom said.
"Not yet, but I'm still looking. Focus on getting the others, I'll handle John Dee. Batman out," Batman said before ending the call.
"Any word?" Martian Manhunter asked once the call ended.
"He's still on it, but I know where the others are," Phantom said as he received the coordinates from Batman. "We should split up. I'll get Wonder Woman; you go and get Superman."
"Very well," Martian Manhunter said as he started floating. "Good luck, Phantom."
"You too," Phantom said before he flew towards Athens while Martian Manhunter flew to Superman's apartment.
Meanwhile, Batman was driving back Metropolis, listening to the police reports about John Dee, the robotic voice droning about John Dee's crimes. He went to the cabin where he attacked his ex-wife, seeing if he could find any clues to his current whereabouts, but found nothing.
"Arrest support: John Dee," the voice said. "Subject was found guarding smuggled weapons in LexCorp's harbor warehouse, during a search that was initiated by the Justice League. Threat level at a minimum..."
As Batman listened in on the report, he could feel himself getting drowsy. He rubbed his eyes, trying to fight off the sleep, since he spent countless nights awake.
"…And so, the Justice League ruined a man's life, and he will get his revenge, one by one, by destroying them!"
Startled by the change in the voice, Batman looked up and saw Dr. Destiny crouching on the hood of the Batmobile, shocking him. Suddenly, he disappeared, and Batman saw a truck coming at him. He quickly swerved his car, barely missing the truck and hitting the road rails, almost flying off the road.
Batman looked at the truck before back to the hood, rubbing his eyes, both tired and frustrated. He pressed a button, restarting the police report.
"…found guarding smuggled weapons in Lexcorp's harbor warehouse..."
He narrowed his eyes at the mention of the warehouse, remembering where it was located. With a goal in mind, Batman pulled back to the road and drove to Metropolis.
…
Superman carried the boy all over Metropolis, smiling at his gleeful cheers. The cool air gently breezing through them and the view was calming to the Man of Steel, looking at his adopted home.
"Metropolis is so cool!" the kid exclaimed.
"Yes, it is," Superman agreed.
"Too bad my dad isn't around anymore to see it," the kid said.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Superman said in a sad tone.
"He talked about you a lot," the kid said. "Keep saying that despite getting into police business, you always help."
"Really? Well, I'm honored," Superman said with a small smile.
"You should be. It's your fault he died."
"What-?" Superman asked in shocked before there was a loud, booming thunder noise that shook the skies. Surprised, he looked up and saw dozens of Boom Tubes appearing, and armies of Parademons poured out and covered the skies, much to his shock and horror.
…
Diana was walking through the villa, holding the girl by the hand, looking for her mother. They've been looking for her for hours but found no sign for her. To keep her distracted, Wonder Woman kept telling her stories about Themyscira.
"Wow, it sounds so magical!" the little girl exclaimed in awe.
"Yes, it is a magical place," Diana said with a sad smile. "So, how did you get separated from your mother."
"We got into a fight," the girl said sadly.
"Why?" Diana asked, surprised on why they would fight.
"Because I disobeyed her," the girl said with a small sniffle. "I did something she told me not to do, and then she got mad at me. I never saw her since then."
"I'm sure you can make up," Diana said in an encouraging tone.
"Did you make up with your mommy?" the girl asked.
"I…" Diana stuttered as she remembered the last time she spoke to her mother was when she banished her for bringing men to Themyscira.
"My mommy doesn't want to see me anymore," the little girl cried. "She hates me! Just like how your mommy hates you!"
Diana was too shocked that she let the girl's hand go, making her run away in tears. Just as she was about to chase her, the ground violently shook, making Diana fall to the ground, surprised.
The ground before her suddenly split open and fire erupted before a familiar figure floated from the crevice.
"Well, it's been a while, Diana," Hades said with a smirk to the shocked Diana.
…
Flash was in the girl's apartment, looking for her teddy bear. Her parents weren't home, but he was sure it would be alright. He got the kid's permission. He zipped through the house, until he ended up in her room, which was pink and frilly, full of toys. He then saw Teddy Flash, a teddy bear dressed up like Flash.
Smiling, he took the teddy bear and ran out of the apartment, making a beeline to the hospital. Suddenly, he heard some sirens. He changed directions and found himself in front of a burning building with people screaming around him.
In a flash, Flash ran back and forth to get the people out of the burning building. Once the last chihuahua was in a blond girl's arm, the fire fighters arrived and took care of the fire.
"There, no harm done," Flash said, patting his hands.
"It would have been better if you got here sooner," a middle-aged lady exclaimed, with curlers in her frazzled hair and wearing a dirty bathrobe. "The apartment wouldn't have caught on fire if you were faster!"
"Hey! Ease up, lady," Flash said, frowning at the lady. "I got you guys out there."
"If you were faster, you would have stopped the fire!" the lady exclaimed. "Fastest man alive? The other Flash was faster than you."
"Whatever, lady," Flash said as he started running again, grumbling.
The words that annoying lady said hit hard. After all, the Flash before him could do more. He could have gotten those people out and repair the entire apartment before the firefighters could arrive. He could never be that fast, but he did his best.
Finally, he made it to the hospital. Grinning he ran to the hospital room, the teddy bear in hand.
"Here's…Teddy Flash!" Flash exclaimed, appearing in the room. He blinked when he saw that the room was empty and cold, with the nurse fixing the beds. "Hey, where's the girl."
"You were too late," the nurse said coldly. "She had the operation…she didn't make it."
"W-what?" Flash said, shock. "But how!?"
"You've been gone for days," the nurse said as she walked out the room. "So much for being the fastest man alive."
"No…I couldn't have been gone that long," Flash said, looking down on the ground. He dropped the stuffed bear on the ground. Suddenly, he felt something grab his hand.
Shocked, he looked to where Teddy Flash was, and his eyes widened when he saw who was holding his hand.
"Why didn't you save me!?" a skeleton Flash exclaimed as he grabbed Flash.
…
John was helping the woman carry her groceries to her apartment, making small talk to pass the time.
"My, what an interesting job," the old woman said. "Sailing around the world, you must have been through a lot of places."
"You could say that," John said, only telling her that he was a Marine. "Meet a lot of good people."
"That sounds delicious," the old woman said.
"Huh? Delicious?" John said, looking confused.
"Yes, it is a nice day today," the old woman said as she opened her door. "Thanks again, sonny. And yup yap yipyip yop."
"What?" John asked before the old lady closed her door, leaving a confused John alone. He blinked before he noticed that the number of her down looked more like squiggly lines, causing him to rub his eyes.
Suddenly, his cellphone rang, making him jump. He grabbed it from his pocket and answered it.
"Rex?"
"Blop, blap bleepbleep bloop, blap," John's eyes widened as he recognized Rex's voice, but not the words.
"What was that?" John asked, confused.
"Blerp, blop blap blep, bloop?"
Confused, John walked out the apartment, trying to figure out what his friend was saying, before he accidentally bumped onto a short woman.
"Sorry," John said to the woman.
"Krrrrrew! Krrew! Krrrrew krrreeew," the woman said, causing John to look confused.
"W-what?" John said, walking back from her, accidentally bumping into a man.
"Gabba habba ho!" the man exclaimed, glaring at John, who backed away from him.
Soon, a crowd was gathered around him, all talking in nonsensical gibberish. As he looked around the crowd, he noticed that the signs on the buildings and billboards were written with unreadable squiggles. Eyes wide, John covered his ears and closed his eyes shut.
"Stop!" he exclaimed as the people kept talking. "Stop! Bwop! Bwahp? Bweep bwap bwooop!"
John looked up into the sky in horror as he could no longer understand the language he was born with.
…
Hawkgirl and Koriand'r peacefully floated through the mountain tops, enjoying the silence.
"So, how are you liking Earth, Koriand'r?" Hawkgirl asked as they flew passed a hawk.
"It is most majestic, friend Shayera," Koriand'r replied with a bright smile. "The culture is most interesting, and the entertainment is most enjoyable."
"Got to admit, you've been adapting well," Hawkgirl commented. "When I got here, it hasn't been easy."
"I am adapting well because you are very helpful," Koriand'r said with a small smile before looking up into the sky, looking melancholy. "Though I still miss my home world."
"I understand," Hawkgirl said with a sad smile. "I miss Thanagar too."
"And yet you decide to stay here on Earth while Thanagar is fighting the Gordanians."
"What?" Hawkgirl said in shock, staring at Koriand'r's back.
"And not only are you not assisting your home world, you are spying in this world as well," Koriand'r said, her voice becoming cold as the sky turned gray. "You are betraying both of your homes!"
Shocked, Hawkgirl look at Koriand'r with wide eyes. Before she could say something, there was a loud sound, something she has heard before. The clouds were blown away as a fleet of Gordanian battleships appeared before them.
Shocked, Hawkgirl just stared in horror as Gordanions flew out the ships, waving laser axes, releasing horrendous battle cries.
"Kyah!" she heard Koriand'r scream as she was tackled by a swarm of Gordanians.
"Kori!" Hawkgirl exclaimed as she tried to rush towards her, only to stop as a horde of Gordanians appeared, all snarling at her. She growled, grabbing her mace and was about to smash their ugly faces in, when one of them suddenly lifted its burly arm, showing her something.
Her eyes widened when she saw that it was a beaten and chained Green Lantern. Shocked, Hawkgirl couldn't react when the Gordanians tackled her and held her down, sneering as she screamed and struggled as they took her to their Mothership.
…
"Wow, this is a nice place," Phantom commented as he walked through Diana's surprisingly nice apartment. "How's she paying for this?"
He jumped when he heard a scream.
"Okay, admire it later, save her first!" Danny said to himself before phasing through a door. He saw Diana on her bed, screaming and trashing, looking like a woman possessed in her bed. "I hope this works!"
Turning intangible, Danny flew towards Diana's head, going into her dreams.
He found himself in a battle-torn street, feeling a sense of déjà vu as he looked at the stalagmites and fire that covered the buildings of Athens. He felt like he's been here before.
"Nooooo!"
He jumped when he heard Diana's scream. He flew towards the scream, seeing the city becoming more like an underground cavern. He finally reached the end of the cavern and his eyes widened when he saw Hades sitting on a throne of stone and fire, with Diana standing next to him, wearing a black dress suited for royalty, with a crown of bones adorning her head, her wrists shackled as he held the chain. She struggled to get the chains off, but it was like she was weakened.
"Stop struggling, my dear," Hades said as he lifted her up using the chains, holding her chin with a finger. "This is your life now, as my new Queen."
"I will never be your Queen, you traitor," Diana said with a glare before kicking him the face.
"Feisty, just like your mother," Hades said, not affected by the kick. "How is she, by the way? I guess you haven't seen her since your banishment."
"Be quiet!" Diana exclaimed in anger.
"I guess your mother doesn't love you anymore," Hades taunted. "Why else would she throw away her only daughter?"
"That's not true!"
"Then let's ask her," Hades said as he snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, Hippolyta appeared between the two, surprising Diana.
"Mother?" Diana said in shock.
"How could you, Diana," Hippolyta said in a sad tone. "How could you betray me? How could you leave me?"
"N-no, Mother!" Diana said as her mother glared at her.
"You broke our rules, and my trust!" Hippolyta exclaimed. "And now you have joined with the monster who destroyed our home!"
Suddenly, they were in a ruined and burning Themyscira, the Amazons lying on the ground, dead. Diana's eyes widened as she looked at the devastating state of her home.
"This is all your fault, Diana," Hippolyta exclaimed as her appearance changed, becoming more ghoulish. She then grabbed Diana's neck, choking her as Hades laughed.
"No! This can't be real!" Diana cried as she struggled from her chains, struggling to breath.
"It's not real!" Phantom exclaimed as he blasted the monstrous mother away from Diana. "Diana, this is all a dream!"
"Danny?" Diana asked, surprised to see him.
Before he could reply, monster Hippolyta suddenly tackled him, sending the two away. As the two fought, Diana watched them before looking around the place.
"A dream…" she said before looking at her chains. With a glare, she started pulling on the chains before it broke free.
"No!" Hades exclaimed before Diana threw a punch at him, sending him stumbling off his throne.
"I don't know who you are fiend, but you have made a grave mistake," Diana said as she ripped the black dress off her, wearing her armor.
"It's you who's made a grave mistake," Hades said as his face melted off, revealing Dr. Destiny.
"Who are you?" Wonder Woman exclaimed as she dodged Dr. Destiny's arms, which extended.
"Your worst nightmare!" Dr. Destiny exclaimed as he grabbed Wonder Woman and started slamming her to the ground.
Phantom was trying to push Hippolyta off him, but she was stronger than she looks. Grinding his teeth, his eyes glowed brightly before he fired Ghost Rays out of it, blasting Hippolyta off him.
"Great, now that Mother Ghoul is gone," he said as he was about to help Wonder Woman, when the ground suddenly sprouted arms, holding him in place. "Okay, now you're just ripping movies off."
Phantom tried to fire at them, but another pair of arms grabbed his hands and pulled him to the ground. He tried to get free, but the arms started pulling him into the ground. Suddenly, Wonder Woman was slammed next to him as Dr. Destiny started pushing her into the ground.
"You two will be buried in your greatest fear!" he exclaimed as both Phantom and Wonder Woman were being dragged into the ground.
"Phantom, can't you fly us out of here!?" Wonder Woman asked as she tried to break free from Dr. Destiny's grip.
"I can't!" Phantom exclaimed as he tried to phase through the hands. "I guess Dr. Dentist is getting better at controlling dreams!"
"You will not mock me again," Dr. Destiny said as some of the hands started punching him.
"Ow! Someone's-ack!- sensitive-ouch!" Phantom said, yelping from the hits.
"How do we stop him!?" Wonder Woman exclaimed as she struggled in vain to free herself.
"Even if he's in control, this is still your dream!" Phantom exclaimed. "You need to dream up a way to save us!"
"How!?"
"I don't know!" Phantom exclaimed. "Just think of something that makes you warm and fluffy!"
Desperate, Wonder Woman closed her eyes, trying to think of warm and fluffy things, whatever he meant by those. She thought about her mother, but the recent attack made it difficult, she thought about ice cream, but it was cold, she thought about those cute fluffy animals she saw in those TV commercials, but she can't imagine those big, cute eyes saving her right now.
As she sank deeper into the ground, she was trying hard to think about something strong and reliable to get them out of here, something she knew could save them, someone she knew is trustworthy.
Just as she was about to be fully buried by Dr. Destiny, a black projectile hit him on the face, making him stumble in shock. The projectile flew around, cutting the hands holding Phantom.
The two stood up, confused as they looked at the familiar, black projectile. The projectile flew towards the waiting hands of Batman.
"Batman?" Phantom said in shock as Batman landed in front of them, glaring at Dr. Destiny. "How are you here?"
Not replying, Batman just charged at Dr. Destiny, who was surprised to see him. He didn't react when Batman suddenly punched him on the face, making him stumble. Batman kept going, throwing a jab to the guy followed by two hits to the face, then he kicked Dr. Destiny on the gut, making him lurch down, letting his knee hit his face, followed by a roundhouse kick that sent Dr. Destiny flying to the sky, taking Tartarus with him. Soon, the landscape returned to the peaceful land of Athens, the moon weirdly shining on Batman as he turned to face them.
"Woah," Phantom commented as he walked towards Batman. "You been working out? What are you doing here? I thought you were looking for Dee's body? And how'd you get here, anyway?"
Phantom tried to place his hand on Batman's shoulder, only to jump back in shock when as soon as he made contact, Batman dispersed into a hundred bats, flying into the night sky. Phantom blinked before looking at Wonder Woman, who seems to be avoiding eye contact.
It took a few seconds before Phantom grinned.
"I see," he said with a knowing nod as Wonder Woman blushed a little.
"I-it's not like that!" Wonder Woman said as Phantom waved her off.
"No, no, I get it," he said as he turned around so she wouldn't see the growing grin. "The popular girl falling for the emo boy. Tale as old as time…pft!"
"J-just who was that that attacked me?" Wonder Woman said, trying to change the subject. "And you said we're in my dreams?"
"Yeah, some sad dude who got caught because of us wants revenge," Phantom explained. "Now he's using his new psychic powers to do a cheap movie knockoff revenge scheme on everyone who's asleep."
"Then we must save the others!" Wonder Woman declared.
"We will," Phantom commented. "So, I'm gonna get outta here and wake you up."
Wonder Woman nodded as Phantom slowly disappeared.
"Oh, and don't worry," Phantom said as he disappeared. "I won't tell anyone about your crush."
"Shut up!"
Metropolis…
Martian Manhunter flew to Clark Kent's high-rise apartment, sensing his dilemma. He phased through the wall and ended up in his bedroom, seeing Clark tossing and turning on his bed. He quickly floated to his side, grabbed his temples, and concentrated.
He soon found himself in Superman's dream, and it wasn't a good one.
Metropolis was on fire, with Parademons filling the skies and ground, hundreds of bodies piled into a gruesome mountain. The skies were black with smoke, with the rivers and sea somehow on fire. On top of The Daily Planet was Darkseid, sitting on the destroyed globe like a throne. Hanging above him like a trophy was Superman, bloodied and bruised, weakly struggling from his chains.
"You see, Kal-El," Darkseid said as he gestured at the devastated Metropolis. "No matter what you do, you will always fail before me."
"Y-you won't…get away with this," Superman growled as he pulled his chains.
"Oh? Let's see then," Darkseid said with a cruel smirk. "Bring in the next one."
Superman watched as a Parademon carried Jimmy Olsen towards Darkseid, who grabbed him with one hand.
"No!" Superman exclaimed as he struggled to get free.
"Superman! Help!" Jimmy cried as Darkseid wrapped his large hand around his neck, slowly strangling him. "Ack! H-help!"
"Jimmy!" Superman cried as Jimmy's face slowly turned purple. Darkseid looked at Superman before there was a loud 'crack!'. Jimmy's body went limp in Darkseid's hand. "No!"
Darkseid walked towards Superman and cruelly dropped Jimmy's body in front of him, forcing Superman to look at his unmoving, pale eyes.
"You can't stop me, Kal-El," Darkseid said as he grew bigger. "You couldn't stop me when I killed Dan Turpin. You couldn't stop me when I made you attacked your home. And you couldn't stop me when you've beaten me on Apokalips. And you know why? Because you're weak. And the weak falls!"
He grabbed Superman's head and slammed him head first to the ground, his chains breaking. Darkseid laughed as he drove Superman to the ground, slowing crushing him.
Suddenly, Martian Manhunter appeared in front of Darkseid and gave the giant titan a strong punch that sent him falling off he building. He then flew down to Superman, helping him up his feet.
"…J'onn?" Superman said in shock. "How are you alive?"
Martian Manhunter noticed his gaze, which he followed, seeing what remained of the Justice League, which were tattered uniforms.
"Superman, this is all a dream," Martian Manhunter said. "You are under the influence of John Dee."
"…Who?" Superman asked.
"Me!" Darkseid exclaimed as he got back up, his face changing into Dr. Destiny. "And you will pay for forgetting me!"
He was about to hit Superman, but Martian Manhunter blocked the giant hand with a punch. Growling, Dr. Destiny started swatting at the Martian, who kept swerving around his hits. Meanwhile, Superman was still on his knees, weak and beaten.
"No…" he said, shaking his head. "This is all a dream…"
"You let my dad die, Superman!" the boy suddenly appeared beside him, with the burning ghost of Dan Turpin behind him. "You failed him! Because you weren't strong enough to save him!"
"No…" Superman said as he looked at Dan Turpin, who despite their differences, still helped him on his time of need, before looking at his son. "Wait a minute…Dan Turpin didn't have a son!"
The boy and the ghoul looked surprised before they popped out of existence. With a growl, Superman stood up and glared at Dr. Destiny, who managed to catch Martian Manhunter. He started squeezing the Martian, cackling.
Superman flew towards him and punched Dr. Destiny on the face, surprising him and making him stumble down Metropolis. He groaned before looking at Superman and Martian Manhunter, the former glaring at him. Dr. Destiny raised his hand, causing the Parademons to fly towards the heroes.
"Enough!" Superman exclaimed as he raised his arms. "Get out of my head!"
He clapped his hands, releasing a strong shockwave that blew the Parademons out of Metropolis. Shocked, Dr. Destiny looked at Superman, who flew towards him, fists raised. Before he could react, Superman slammed into his gut, causing Dr. Destiny to popped like a balloon.
The moment he was gone, Metropolis was slowly fixing itself, the bodies disappearing, the buildings rebuilding, and the skies clear. Superman sighed as Martian Manhunter landed beside him.
"What's going on?" Superman asked Martian Manhunter.
"Trouble," Martian Manhunter simply replied.
Metropolis…
Batman drove through the dark streets, focus on the job. As he sped through, he could feel something humming in his head, a nice, peaceful lullaby.
"You gotta sleep sometime," a voice gently whispered to him, making Batman slowly nod off. "That's it, go to sleep. By the time you open your eyes, you'll be sleeping forever…"
Suddenly, Batman gasped, just in time to avoid a garbage truck, hitting a few garbage cans. The adrenaline rush made him alert, seeing a crack on his windshield. Eyes narrowing, he decided to make a quick stop.
In a coffee shop, a group of citizens were calmly waiting for their cup of joe and glass of smoothie. Suddenly, the door opened, and when people looked back, they all gasped and stepped back. The barista was calmly making a latte, unaware of their special guest.
Suddenly, cash slapping on the counter got his attention. He turned around and gasped, dropping his cup.
"Give me a triple, now!" Batman ordered.
…
Phantom and Wonder Woman rode the Javelin to the Watchtower to wake up Flash and Hawkgirl. The two found them in the monitor room, with Hawkgirl sitting on the chair with a blanket covering her, and Flash leaning on the controls, both of them thrashing in their sleep.
"Great Hera," Wonder Woman said as she went to check on Hawkgirl. "Will they be alright?"
"If we wake them up," Phantom said as he grabbed Wonder Woman's hand. "Now, let's wake Flash up."
"Why Flash first?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Well…I don't wanna see what's in Hawkgirl's dream," Phantom said.
"Really?" Wonder Woman said in a deadpanned tone.
"She scares me sometimes, okay!" Phantom exclaimed before grabbing Wonder Woman's hand and phasing them through Flash's dream.
The two found themselves in Central City, with Wonder Woman disoriented a little. Once she steadied herself, she looked around the place in surprise.
"So, this is Flash's dream?" she asked. "I expected it to be more…Flash."
"Me too," Phantom said, expecting a large group of beautiful cheerleaders cheering him as he unveils a big statue of him. "Where is he, anyway?"
"AAAAGH!"
The two looked at each other before rushing towards the scream. As they ran, they noticed something odd. There people around them, but they weren't moving, as if frozen in time. Suddenly, a red blur rushed past them, causing them to stop and look.
"Well, there he goes," Phantom said.
"He looked scared," Wonder Woman commented.
"Man, I'm surprised you can see that," Phantom said. "What was he afraid of?"
There answer came in a black blur that ran past them, nearly knocking them off their feet. The two looked at each other before flying after the two blurs.
Flash kept running as fast as he could, breathing heavily and sweating profusely, a look of fear plastered on his face. His feet were burning, but he wouldn't dare to stop.
"You think you can run from me?" a voice said beside him. With eyes wide, Flash turned his head and saw the monster chasing him; a ghoulish skeleton wearing a worn and torn Flash costume, his skeletal hand reaching out for him. "You couldn't run fast to save me? What makes you think you can run fast now!?"
Flash screamed as he increased his speed, but Skeleton Flash only cackled as he easily caught up to him. He then smacked Flash on the back of his head, causing him to trip and stumble across the road. He kept tumbling until he smashed on a building.
Flash groaned as he tried to stand up, but skeletal hands grabbed his shoulders and pushed him to the wall, forcing him to look at the Skeleton Flash.
"I trusted you with my life, Wally," it said menacingly as the space behind Flash started shifting. "How could you let me down like that! How could you let me die!"
"I…I didn't mean to," Flash said. "I-I tried to save you…b-but…but…"
"You were too slow," the skeleton said as he let Flash go. "And you will go through the same torture I've went through."
Suddenly, a white portal appeared Flash, making him gasp as he felt himself getting sucked by the portal.
"No!" he cried as he tried to run, but he barely made any distance as he got closer to the portal.
"Go through the same fate I did in the Speed Force," Skeleton Flash said. "Suffer for all existence."
"Not if we can help it," Phantom said, delivering a surprise kick to the Skeleton Flash, knocking him away.
Surprised, Flash didn't react when a gold lasso suddenly wrapped around his waist and pulled him to the side, saving him from getting sucked into the portal. He was caught by Wonder Woman, who supported him as he panted heavily.
"Diana?" Flash asked in confusion.
"Agh!" Phantom slid towards them, holding his stomach. "Geez, for being just bones, that guy packs a wallop."
"Danny?" Flash asked as he looked at the two. "What are you two doing here?"
"Flash, I know this is gonna sound crazy, but this is all a dream," Phantom said.
"What?" Flash asked.
"Look, this bad guy got mind powers and he's using them to attack us in our sleep," Phantom explained. "I'm real, she's real, you're real, but Flash Skellington there isn't. But he can kill you."
"You mean…this is a dream, but you guys aren't?" Flash said.
"Yeah, so let's take care of Skellington over there," Phantom said as he turned to face Skeleton Flash, but was shocked when he saw its grinning face right next to him. "Right, I forgot it can do that."
Phantom couldn't react fast enough as the skeleton punched him on the face. Wonder Woman charged with a punch, but it dodged, grabbed her arm and threw her over its shoulder. She spun in the air to land on her feet, glaring at the Skeleton.
Phantom flew towards it from behind, but before he could hit it, it disappeared in a blur. Phantom looked around before he felt a slap on the head. He turned around, glaring at the Skeleton. He tried to punch it, but it easily dodged his attacks. He growled before he started throwing punches and kicks, which it easily blocked and dodged.
Suddenly, Skeleton Flash disappeared from his view, causing Phantom to look around, before noticing that it was back to fight Wonder Woman. Growling, Phantom flew towards it. Wonder Woman kept trying to hit it, but it was too fast for her. When she threw a right hook, the Skeleton Flash disappeared, and she accidentally hit Phantom.
"Phantom!" she exclaimed as Phantom fell on the floor. "Sorry. Are you alright?"
"Easy peasy, lemon squeezy~," Phantom said with a dazed smile.
Suddenly, Wonder Woman was shoulder tackled by the Skeleton Flash, knocking her off before it grabbed Phantom, spun around and threw him towards Flash, the two stumbling on the ground.
"Ow…where's the bus that hit me?" Phantom groaned before he saw Wonder Woman being tossed around by Skeleton Flash. "That thing's too fast! Flash, you're the only one here that can beat it."
"I…I can't," Flash said. "I can't beat him. I'm…to slow."
"What are you saying?" Phantom said, giving Flash an incredulous look. "You? Slow? Did you eat something off the floor or something?"
"I wasn't supposed to be the Flash," Flash said as he looked down on the ground. "I got these powers by mistake…I have these powers, but I couldn't save my uncle. He's gone because of me…"
"…Flash, I've seen everything you've accomplished, even before we became a team," Phantom said. "You've raced against Earth's Greatest Hero, you've saved countless lives, saved the day, and you've finished five hundred burger meals in ten seconds. I don't know about the Flash before you, but to me, you are the best Flash there is. And right now, we need you."
Flash looked at Phantom before looking Skeleton Flash, his eyes changing and his fists clenching.
Wonder Woman tried her best to defend herself against the attack, but it was too fast even for her. She blocked the first few punches, but couldn't defend against the other hundred punches. Soon, Wonder Woman was on the ground, barely able to move.
Skeleton Flash stopped moving before looking around. It grabbed a nearby parking meter, tearing it off the ground. It then appeared next to Wonder Woman, intending to stab her.
"It's time to go to sleep," it said, changing into Dr. Destiny.
Before he could plunge the steel in her, a red blur punched him away from her. He turned back to the Skeleton Flash and turned to look at Flash, who no longer looked frightened. Phantom flew towards
"You can drop the cheap mask," Flash said. "I saw who you really are."
"It doesn't matter, I am still faster than you in this world!" Skeleton Flash said before he disappeared into a blur. Flash just stood there, standing as Skeleton Flash appeared behind him, intending to stab him. Suddenly, Flash disappeared from Skeleton Flash's sight.
Surprised, Skeleton Flash looked around, before it got blindsided by a punch. It stood back, growling as he barely spotted a red blur. It tried to use the parking meter to hit Flash, but it kept missing. After the fifth swing, the parking meter was punched out of its hand, followed by three punches on the face, two to the gut, and one uppercut to the chin, sending it flying. Before it could hit the ground, Flash grabbed him by the top of his mask and tore it off it, throwing him over his shoulder.
Dr. Destiny slammed on to the wall, sliding to the ground, groaning. He looked up and saw Phantom, Wonder Woman and Flash in front of him.
"Guess my dream was too fast for you," Flash said as he placed the Flash costume over his shoulder.
"This isn't over!" Dr. Destiny said as he disappeared. Flash then looked at Phantom and Wonder Woman.
"So, who's next?" Flash asked.
…
Superman and Martian Manhunter appeared in the neighborhood of Green Lantern's dreams. After Martian Manhunter explained to Superman what has happened, they immediately left to help the others. They already learned that Phantom rescued Wonder Woman and were now in the Watchtower to get Hawkgirl and Flash.
Martian Manhunter decided to use his powers in Superman's dream to connect to Green Lantern's dream instead to save him faster.
"Where is he?" Superman asked, looking around the dreamscape.
"…There," Martian Manhunter said, feeling Green Lantern's distress. Superman nodded and the two flew towards it.
John was curled up on the wall, covering his ears as he was surrounded by humans, thought their words were gibberish to him. He was always afraid of the possibility of his Ring making him unable to live in his home. And now, it happened.
First, he couldn't understand what they were saying, and then he suddenly grew an extra arm and tail, he grew pink hair and multicolored eyes, a long nose, giant teeth and blue skin. And now, his neighbors surrounded him with harsh looks aimed at him.
"Goba blag blag!" one of his friends said, holding a rope. "Goba blag blag!"
The crowd roared in agreement as they went to grab John, dragging him towards a light post. He tried to fight back, tried to use the Ring, but the green accessory was just hanging on his finger, nothing more than a fashion statement to his demise.
When he felt the rope wrapped around his neck, John just closed his eyes, awaiting his inevitable fate.
Suddenly, he felt a gust of wind and the rope was no longer on his neck. He opened his eyes and saw Superman and Martian Manhunter standing protectively in front of him.
"Balgubag balguab!" Martian Manhunter said to Superman, who nodded and took a deep breath before he blew a gust of wind that made them mob tumble away. Martian Manhunter then turned to John and grabbed his head, his eyes glowing. "Balgubag! Balgubag! Balg-it! Snap out of it! This isn't real!"
"Bwahp?" John said as he heard Martian Manhunter speak English.
"This is all a trap! None of this is real!" Martian Manhunter said. "Your fears are making the nightmare stronger! You must fight blagubag! Blagubabag!"
Martian Manhunter's eyes widened before he was suddenly pulled by an invisible force into the air, so was Superman. The two found themselves restrained in the air before it shimmered, revealing Dr. Destiny.
"You heroes have interfered for the last time!" he exclaimed as he started slamming them together, like how a kid plays with his action figures.
John looked at Dr. Destiny before he noticed the mob gathered back to him. They suddenly grabbed him, intending to continue. But John ignored them as he looked at his ring. When he first got it, he didn't expect to see a world bigger than his, nor did he think he would defend it. He enjoyed his life as a Green Lantern, but he also feared it, since he thought that his time away from Earth would make him different, to make him unable to live on his home planet with his own people, that the Ring would make him something else.
"….Bwahguba, bwhagugupa," he chanted with his eyes close. "Bwabagabagudah. Bwabagaba bwagagaba, bwere my power, Green Lantern's light!"
He raised his ring in the air and a green burst of energy erupted around him. When the light dispersed, Green Lantern was back to normal, his eyes glowing brightly as well as his ring. He turned to Dr. Destiny, who was laughing as he slammed the two heroes together.
With a glare, he flew towards Dr. Destiny and created a giant, green fist. Before Dr. Destiny could react, a green fist smashed him on the face, causing him to tumble over and letting the two heroes go. Superman and Martian Manhunter floated beside Green Lantern.
"Thanks for the save," Green Lantern said to them.
"Don't thank us just yet," Superman said as they looked at Dr. Destiny, who stood back up, glaring at them in anger.
…
Batman was almost at his designation, fully alerted thanks to the coffee. Suddenly, the caffeine rush he had was slowly dying down as he felt a lull in his mind.
"Come now," Dr. Destiny chided. "Nothing good will come from caffeine and adrenaline rush. It's not healthy to fight it. Just go to sleep. You know you want to-Agh!"
Batman was jolted awake from the scream. His eyes narrowed before he broke his windshield and changed the channel in his radio, listening to a very loud jingle.
…
"Okay, are you guys ready?" Phantom asked as he psyched himself up, looking at the sleeping Hawkgirl. "This could be the most dangerous place we'll ever go to."
"Dude, it's just Hawkgirl's dream," Flash said before he paused. "Huh…okay, I think I see where you're coming from."
"We're wasting time," Wonder Woman said impatiently.
"Okay, okay," Phantom said as he grabbed both Wonder Woman and Flash. "Here we go!"
He turned them intangible and the trio flew into Hawkgirl's sleeping form. Soon, the three found themselves in a battlefield. Alien ships rained fire down upon a destroyed land as monstrous, winged aliens flew down the ship.
Phantom and Flash looked at Wonder Woman with deadpanned expression, which she ignored.
"There!" she exclaimed as she pointed at a big ship.
They turned and saw Hawkgirl restrained by electric cuffs, forced to watch the carnage caused by the aliens. In front of her where the Justice League, beaten and restrained.
"Earth's mightiest heroes?" the big alien monster said in a mocking tone as he zapped Superman with a staff. "Your might is overexaggerated. We conquered this pathetic planet so easily, just like how we conquered Thanagar."
"No…that's a lie!" Hawkgirl shouted.
"Does this look like a lie to you?" the alien said as he pulled out a helmet shaped like hers, all bent and burned. "Your people put up a fight, but it was for naught. And now this planet is next!"
"No…" Hawkgirl said in a defeated tone as the Gordanians continued torturing the Justice League. She then saw Green Lantern being shocked. "Stop it!"
"Oh? You think shouting will make us stop?" the Gordanian said in a mocking tone before grabbing Green Lantern. "It seems you like this one. Perhaps I should skin him and let his pelt hang in your cage!"
Hawkgirl watched in horror as the Gordanian grabbed a giant knife and was about to hit Green Lantern with it, a green ray hit him, causing him to drop the knife.
Surprised, the Gordanian looked up, only to get his ugly face punched by Wonder Woman, sending him to the ship.
Hawkgirl took a while to process, since she saw Wonder Woman punching the alien, even though another Wonder Woman was in front of her, beaten and restrained.
"Hey, Sleeping Beauty," Flash said, appearing next to her, being carried by Phantom. "You dreaming about me?"
"What's…going on?" she asked, dazed and confused.
"Long story short, criminal with mind powers, attacking us in our dreams," Phantom explained as they landed on top of the ship and went to undo her restraints.
"This…is a dream?" she asked in disbelief. "But…me and Koriand'r were…"
"That wasn't Starfire," Phantom said. "This isn't real. But we are, so if we die here, we die in real life."
"And that's what I intend to do!" a voice exclaimed as Wonder Woman flew back towards them, her arms crossed to block a punch. They turned and saw the Gordanian changing into Dr. Destiny, so did the other Gordanians. "I will kill you all!"
They all flew towards them, but before the heroes could defend themselves, Hawkgirl rushed towards the group of Dr. Destinies with her mace on hand, and smashed them with one hit. Startled, Dr. Destiny looked at Hawkgirl, who gave him a very bloodthirsty look.
With a loud war cry, she rushed towards the rest of them, bashing them left and right.
"Told you she scares me," Phantom commented before they joined the fight.
Dr. Destiny watched as Hawkgirl easily beaten his doppelgangers left and right. With a growl, he grabbed the Gordanian weapon and flew towards her. He swiped the weapon at Hawkgirl, but she blocked with her mace. She pushed him back, and he was about to charge again, before he saw Green Lantern in front of him, punching him on the face.
Surprised and confused, Dr. Destiny found himself in Green Lantern's dream, fighting Superman, Martian Manhunter and the dreamer himself. He quickly used his arms to block Martian Manhunter, sending him flying to the air. He saw Superman, ready to punch him, which he was going to block, before he felt a blow on his stomach.
He looked down and saw Wonder Woman's fist on his gut, making him double over. He was back in Hawkgirl's dream, confused on what's happening. Suddenly, Phantom was behind him and blasted him back to the ship.
…
John Dee gasped as he winced, feeling pain in his body. He was in a dark room full of dusty crates, the LexCorp warehouse where he was arrested.
"Curses," he muttered as he felt the pain from the heroes' attacks. "Why am I having trouble with this? I thought I had my powers under control."
Suddenly, he heard some noise outside. Eyes closed, he saw Batman exiting his vehicle, looking at the warehouse.
Growling, he grabbed his pack, pulling out a syringe and a vial of drugs that could make Batman fall asleep.
Batman quietly entered the warehouse, walking through the dusty crates. As he walked by a broken window, he saw Dr. Destiny instead of his reflection.
"You've come a long way, Batman," he said as he used his powers to enter Batman's mind. "You must be exhausted."
Suddenly, Batman found himself inside a labyrinth, with stairs all over the place, leading to doors attached to the walls, ceilings, and floor.
"It must be so tiring being the only one in the group with no powers," Dr. Destiny said in a taunting tone as he tried to get Batman to sleep.
"I do have a power, and that's never giving up," Batman declared. Concentrating, Batman mentally hummed the song he was listening from the radio. Soon, the place returned to normal, letting Batman walk safely. He stepped on a puddle, showing Dr. Destiny's annoyed look.
"What is that?" he said in annoyance before he disappeared.
"Something that's keeping you out of my mind," Batman replied as he kept mentally humming, preventing Dr. Destiny from making him fall asleep.
"I'll be able to go into your mind even if you're awake!" Dr. Destiny exclaimed.
"My mind is not a nice place to be," Batman countered as he kept humming.
Dr. Destiny growled in annoyance as Batman kept walking, getting deeper into the warehouse. He entered a barely lit room full of crates. He walked through it and spotted an empty bag.
"Raaah!"
Batman turned and saw Dr. Destiny emerging from the shadows, holding a syringe. Before he could reach Batman, he suddenly doubled over, like he was punched in the gut. Groaning, he slowly looked up, only to get his face punched, followed by being kicked from behind.
Batman watched as Dr. Destiny seemed to be fighting the air, and losing. Soon, he saw Dr. Destiny's form changing into John Dee before going back.
"Seems you're having trouble with your powers," Batman said as Dr. Destiny leaned on a crate, panting as his appearance kept flickering. "Guess you bit off more than you can chew."
Dr. Destiny growled as he charged at Batman, only to find himself being met with a blurry of punches from Flash that sent him skidding across the ship before find himself wrapped by a green chain construct and was hurled around the street before he was met with Hawkgirl's mace, sending him into the hair, getting punched by Martian Manhunter, sending him towards Wonder Woman, who gave a roundhouse kick that sent him to the street, where he received an uppercut by Superman, sending him into the air where Phantom delivered a hammer fist that sent him crashing through the ship, then down into the street, before finding himself back in the warehouse.
His world was spinning, not knowing what was real and what wasn't. He kept seeing his surroundings changing, from the warehouse, the streets, on the Gordanians warship, then back in the warehouse. Groaning, he weakly looked up and saw a gloved fist, hitting him on the face, causing him to spin and land on a crate, breaking it.
Batman walked towards the broken crate, seeing a groaning John Dee on the ground. The man weakly looked up before he felt a stinging pain on his leg. He looked down and saw the syringe stuck on him, the glass empty. His eyes widened before they rolled to the back of his head and he fell to the floor, unconscious.
Watchtower…
Hawkgirl slowly woke up, finding herself on the chair, dropping the blanket covering her. She looked up and saw Phantom, Wonder Woman, and Flash in front of her.
"Had a good sleep?" Phantom asked, noticing how tired he looked.
"…Am I still dreaming?" she asked, rubbing her head.
"I could give you a kiss to wake you up," Flash asked in a teasing tone, getting a deadpanned stare from Hawkgirl.
"It's real," Hawkgirl said.
"Martian Manhunter to Phantom," Martian Manhunter said through their comms. "Superman and Green Lantern are safe."
"So's Wonder Woman, Flash, and Hawkgirl," Phantom replied. "Any word on Batman?"
"Got John Dee into custody," Batman's voice said through the comms. "And prep the med bay."
"Are you hurt?" Wonder Woman asked, concerned.
"I need to lie down," Batman replied, releasing a yawn.
"Best idea I ever heard," Phantom said before he passed out, Flash quickly catching him. The three adults just smiled as they heard Phantom lightly snore.
"Huh, didn't know Ghosts sleeps," Flash commented as he carried him to the medical bay.
Stryker's Island…
In the prisoners' med bay, John Dee was lying on the bed, a blank expression on his face. In his mind, all he could hear was himself humming a certain song on the radio.
Finally! Done! Man, this was a lot of work. I tried to be original with the dreams. Sorry for the wait, and I hope it's worth it. I had a few delays, with jobs and the pandemic, got hold up by my allergies, you know, normal problems. I hope things get better soon, though one of my bosses is leaving, so it's gonna be busy, and a little lonely on my job. So, the Justice League dealt with Dr. Destiny, who's now mind broken. Will he ever appear again? Maybe someday.
Oh yeah, thanks to MiracleKing64 for suggesting to do an intro for Ghostly Leaguer. He made this one.
Play Justice League 2001 theme
The sun began to rise as eight imposing silhouettes slowly walked away from it as the light engulfed them turning them into the words Justice League. Zooming out revealed the dark silhouette of Batman glaring before he threw his batarang, and in a bright light it transitioned to Wonder Woman who was blocking attacks with her bracelets with each flash lighting up her face, before the last shifted to a man who was holding a power battery in his left hand while holding his right hand to it as green lightning surge, before it engulfed the man who was now had a green ring on his finger as green light lite up his face revealing it to be the Green Lantern before it went out. The scene changed to a wall that was punched in by the dark silhouette of Superman leaving a big hole in the wall before he slowly flew through it. it quickly transitioned to a serpent that spiraled in place before it changed into the Martian Manhunter as the camera zoomed into his eye. As the shadow of Phantom walked through a wall disappeared and flied to the side, blocking the view as the slowed down blur of the Flash ran leaving a trail of dust behind him. As the silhouette of Hawkgirl slowly flew across the setting sky, before cutting to the silhouettes of all the heroes standing on a cliff with the setting sky behind them, with Superman in the front with Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter on his right. While Batman, Phantom, Flash and Hawkgirl stood on his left.
And that inspired me to make this one.
Play Danny Phantom theme.
Techno music as the members of the Justice League appeared in flashes. By order; Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Danny Phantom, Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter.
"They're the Justice League."
Superman flew through the air, followed by Batman gliding down, Wonder Woman flying behind him, followed by Danny Phantom.

Flash zoomed through the ground, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl above him before Martian Manhunter appeared from the ground, closing in on his left eye, changing the scene.
"Chaos so enraged. Police are too engaged. Bad guys so deranged~ (They're gonna beat them all, 'cause they're the Justice League, league, league)."
Criminals causing chaos, attacking the police, with supervillains like Livewire, Cheetah, Copperhead, Grundy, and Shade leading them and slowly overpowering the police as they laughed before they looked up, losing the smiles on their faces.
"Villains don't stand a chance. Senses are enhanced. Powers so advanced~ (They're gonna catch them all, 'cause they're the Justice League, league, league)."
The Justice League appeared before they charged at the criminals. Flash and Green Lantern easily gathered the criminals into a heap as Danny Phantom blasted at Livewire, Wonder Woman tying Cheetah up with her lasso, Batman taking down Copperhead with a batarang, Hawkgirl sending Shade flying with her mace, and Superman punching Grundy.
"Villains all unleashed, their evil plots and deeds, hoping they could beat them~! (They're Earth's greatest heroes)."

"They're gonna beat them all, 'cause they're the Justice League!"
Superman threw a punch, followed by Batman throwing a kick, then Wonder Woman with a punch, and Danny Phantom firing a Ghost Ray.

"They're gonna save the day, 'cause they're the Justice League!"
Superman stood on the front, standing imposingly. Batman was on his left, his arms crossed, followed by Phantom who was grinning with his arms crossed, Flash next to him, hands on his hips, smirking, and Hawkgirl next to him, holding her mace. On Superman's right was Wonder Woman, hands on her hips, standing heroically, followed by Green Lantern, his power ring glowing, and lastly by Martian Manhunter.
Whelp, hope you like it. Next time, time to party with one wild princess. See you later, and thanks for the support!
