Best Time of My Life Chapter 26, an a bugs life fanfic

"Where's Dexter?", I asked, feeling a bit scared. "He's dead as well.", Chris said with a grin.

"What?", I asked in surprise. "Dexter was going to stab Hopper..but an officer shot him in the chest.", Flik explained with a nod.

I gasped in shock, and then I gave a sigh of relief, glad that my twins and Hopper are safe, and I then hear my twins calling out to me, "Mommy! Mom!", and I slightly leaned down on my knees as they gave me a bear hug, and I can't help kissing them all over the face, relishing into their familiar scents.

"My babies, are you okay?!", I cried out in concern. "Mom, we were so scared!", Ashley cried, feeling her shoulders shake momentarily. "We were afraid that Tiffany and that mean man would hurt us!", Alex cried with a frantic nod.

I shushed them gently, "Now, now, it's all over now.", and I saw Hopper coming up to us. I smiled warmly, giving out a hand, and Hopper grinned, joining into the hug happily as he replied, "She's right. Tiffany and Dexter won't hurt you no more. Now, let's go home.".

Alex looked disappointed, "Did we ruin the rehearsal?", and I rubbed his back in comfort, "Hey, we already know our vows and everything.".

Ashley gasped in surprise, "Are you two going to actually get married this afternoon instead of tomorrow?...We really want Dad to be our father officially.", and Alex blinked, "But the rest of the family? I mean, they got the invitations for tomorrow...not today...".

Alex looked disappointed, "Did we ruin the rehearsal?", and I rubbed his back in comfort, "Hey, we already know our vows and everything.".

"Well, we will have the wedding at night...so it could give the others time to get here.", I said with a smile. Hopper then kissed me on the lips, and I kissed him back.

Alex cheered happily as Ashley laughed, "Awesome! Come on, Mom, Dad, let's get the wedding dress and tuxedo out!", and they broke away from us, running to Chris, Dad, Rosie, and Francis nearby, telling the news of my decision, and Hopper wrapped his arm around me, "That sounds brilliant, my love. Getting married at night, I actually like that better than waiting for tomorrow.". I smiled as I hugged Hopper. Tiffany and Dexter were gone...at least we can all live in peace and harmony.

Time skip-

It was now night time. Everyone of my family and friends were able to get here in time.

I am so excited to walk down the aisle with my father by my side, and see Hopper at the end with our kids at either side. Gypsy cooed at me, "You look so beautiful, Angela! You were right about the curlers. Those ringlets certainly bring your eyes out. Hopper is going to be quite surprised about your choice of wedding dress.".

I giggled softly as I moved gracefully, loving the feel of the satin feel of my skirt. It sure took a week to find it and fix it to my needs, showing it off to all the girls and of course, Chris as he's best man and best friend. It was true that A Bug's Life was my favorite movie, but as my twins grew up, they had their individual favorites. Alex favored 'Hercules' while Ashley favored 'Cinderella', comparing me to a mix between Megara and Cinderella, so it hit me last month after the whole proposal. What if I had a combination of their dresses?

So, I have Cinderella's crown/veil, satin skirt while having my hair down like Megara, and a top that has spaghetti straps. Almost all cloud white with a purple sash belt. And of course, there's the traditions of the wedding attire itself. The dress is obviously new. My eyes are blue. I am wearing a old necklace that I had kept for years. And of course, the wonderful bouquet of violet/red roses is technically borrowed through it came out of a shop.

I wonder what Hopper is wearing, through I know he will be handsome and cute. I then heard a gasp from the door, and I peeked at the mirror to see Dad stepping into the room with a awestruck look. "Oh, Angela...I can't believe I am giving away another daughter after Katie...You look heavenly.".

I giggled as I went over to hug my dad. "Thanks, Dad.", I said with a smile on my face. "Is everyone ready?", Rosie asked.

Dad nodded with a warm smile, "Yes, everybody's ready. The kids are especially ready to do the flowers and all.". I smiled widely, "Then let's do this.", I take a deep breath, "I'm ready, Daddy, if you are.".

Dad gave out his arm, and I wrap my arm around his as I held my bouquet in my other hand as Gypsy and Rosie exited, kept the door open for us to the hallway, and to the end where the entrance of the aisle is.

"Here comes the bride!", Rosie and Gypsy shouted. We saw all the guests stand up, and at the end...I saw Hopper...

(Hopper's P.O.V.)

I am wearing my white shirt/black tux, my light purple vest, and black jacket/pants, and sharp dark gray shoes, along with a red rose in my jacket pocket. When I heard the announcement, I looked on, holding my breath, and just as Samuel turned the corner, I saw...Angela...

I exhaled a long breath, "Wow!", smiling widely as she seemed to blush with a slightly shy, ear to ear smile. She's gorgeous! I saw that the kids were throwing flowers everywhere.

"Alex and Ashley came up with the idea of the wedding dress.", Manny whispered to me with a smile. I smiled even bigger, proud of my kids for coming up with that. Angela looks so perfect in it, and I knew the baby/babies, even if small, they're feeling her joy and happiness.

(Angela's P.O.V.)

"I bring you your bride.", Dad said with a tearful yet respectful smile. I grabbed Hopper's hands as he helped me up. "You look so beautiful my angel.", Hopper said with a awed smile.

I smiled widely as I breathed softly, "You look handsome, flyboy.", and Hopper's warm chuckle came out before whispering to me, "I love you, Angela.". I returned the compliment back to him, and he smiled brightly before I hear Manny call out for every guest to sit, and I held Hopper's hand as we turned to Manny with full attention.

I was admittedly shocked when Manny applied to be a wedding officiant online, just for our wedding, but it was easy breezy when Chris helped him out with that. Manny then began the ceremony, succeeding happily, and then came our vows when he called for the rings. Alex was smiling all the way as Hopper took his turn first, plucking my ring out of the pillow.

Hopper then slid the ring onto my ring finger, and I then picked up the other ring and slid it onto Hopper's ring finger. "I now pronounce you husband and wife...You may now kiss the bride.", Manny said with a bright smile.

Hopper beamed brightly as he leaned in, his hand cradling behind my neck as I reached my hand around his shoulder, and I leaned up slightly, and we kissed for the first time as husband and wife, faintly hearing cheers, claps, and whistles from the crowd. "Let's get ready to start this party!", Chris shouted.

Time skip-

There was now music as everyone was having a blast. I giggled softly as I saw some signs of friendship and attraction forming between some of my siblings and the gang like how Blake noticed Rosie, and Sasha flirting with a slightly awestruck Molt.

Tuck and Roll were dancing. Alex and Ashley were with Dim and Dot. Atta and Flik were dancing as well.

Hopper squeezed warmly, and I turned my attention on him, and he smirked softly, "Shall we give them a grand finale with our dance? I don't know about you, but I wanna hold and kiss you all I want in the limo ride to the mansion.".

I smiled as Hopper and I stood up. We then walked to the center of the room. "Cue music!", I shouted excitedly. "Let's dance.", Hopper said with a grin.

Hopper lifted me up into his arms as we danced, and I laughed in joy as we danced further on.

I twirled around within Hopper's arms, and smiled at him as he laughed merrily as we continued on to dance, and with a flare of my dress, I danced into Hopper's arms, leaning in for a kiss, ending the dance as Hopper kissed me back. The crowd was silent throughout the dance before erupting into cheers and whoops.

Time skip-

I and Hopper were now in the limo as we head back to the mansion. We couldn't wait to have our honeymoon.

Hopper purred warmly as he held me in his arms, having removed the crown/veil from my head, "It's going to be wonderful to have a week to ourselves in the mansion. Your dad was brilliant in suggesting that the others go have a vacation to Disney World with some of the house money he got from selling his house. I never imagined to see such shock on the twins' faces when they found out.".
