(Angela's P.O.V.)
We then got to the treehouse, and we were impressed at the sight of it. "It looks beautiful.", I said in amazement. The treehouse is really crafted very well. It's almost like a combination of a bird treehouse and a simple cabin cottage. Flik and the girls must have really worked hard on this for a long time.
Hopper whistled in awe, "It sure is. Flik and the girls did a great job. Must have taken them a month or so.", before smiling at me as he held up the picnic basket, "Shall we?". I smiled as I nod my head. We then started to climb the treehouse, and once we made it to the top..and we got inside, it was even more beautiful.
I knew that the treehouse stood within two large trees, and dang, they somehow weaved the roof through the big branches, acting like rafters of a sort. There's a cute table set with two chairs in the middle, and in the back stood a cabinet of books. Off to the right side is a hanging bed that's held up by metal and rope, protected by rails almost all the way, and on the left side is a hidden bathroom with a compost toilet which is handy.
"Whoa!", Hopper said, amazed. He then set the basket on the table, and we started to take out the food and drinks. I chuckled softly, "I think this treehouse has exceeded our expectations. A hanging bed...".
"I agree.", Hopper said with a grin. After we were done eating..we took a tour of the Treehouse.
Hopper chuckled softly, "Look at that, Flik must have noticed our favorite genres of books, and either he or the girls shopped for those books. That's perfect for having a break between mealtimes or playtime.", and I grinned softly, "That's really clever of them.". We then headed to the bathroom, seeing that the water is recycled upon a gravity-fed sink, and plenty of soap for the hand washing, and Hopper was impressed by the compost toilet, through albeit grossed out by it.
"Well...once they come back home..we're gonna give them a big thank you before...they head back to their world.", I said with a smile. Hopper nodded, "I totally agree. Oh, I got it! What about a full meal of their favorites on the day they come back home as a big thanks for this?".
"Perfect!", I said with a wide smile. Hopper and I spend the rest of the day in the treehouse...I even recorded a video of the treehouse with my phone. Like I said with Tiffany and Dexter gone...we can now live in peace.
I sighed softly as I listened to the sounds of the night, sitting upon the branch upon the roof, seeing the stars come out, and I hear Hopper calling out, "Angela, could you come down? I found something awesome I thought you should see!", and I call back, "Okay, I am coming down!".
It's nice that the branches on the roof is thick and safe for people to climb up and down. I hummed softly as I climbed down, and I made it down to the floor, turning around as I replied, 'Okay, what is it you want me to...", halting in surprise as I saw Hopper standing slightly against the hanging bed, wearing a leather suit...just like Hawkeye...
Hopper chuckled softly, "Turns out Chris was hiding this in the cupboard under the sink in the bathroom here. So...what do you think?", now looking a bit anxious. "You look so handsome!", I squealed happily.
Hopper blushed lightly. "Thank you, my angel.", Hopper said with a smile. I walked on, sauntering on as I showed off my hips, "You know, we haven't made use of this magnificent bed. It must be wonderful to make love in the air, or on a cloud.".
"I already have plans...for that.", Hopper said with a sly purr as he led me to the bed. I smiled with a giggle. "This is going to be a long week...", I said with a hum.
Time skip- 1 week later-
It has been a great week for us both, having peaceful days of just talking/cuddling and busy days of making love/pleasure time. Hopper really surprised me with things he learned from the internet, both human culture and versions of love. At mealtimes, we took time to comment on the photos that the gang sent us from Disney World including one very important photo that made me so happy after I heard Hopper's explanation about the photo.
Hopper advised Chris to go for a proposal of his own way, and to my delight, Francis said yes! He's wearing a brilliant bold ring. I can't wait to witness them getting married someday!
Well, we just got into bed as tomorrow, everyone will return. "Night, my love.", I said with a kiss. "Sweet dreams, my angel.", Hopper said, kissing me back tenderly. The two of us went to sleep.
The next morning-
"Hello?", I asked as I found myself in a familiar place.
I then hear my big bro's voice, "Great to see you, Angie. You have that glow of a mother yet you have the energy of a wife.", and I turn around to see Josh grinning as he leaned up against the bench. I cried out happily, "Josh!", running to hug him.
I then hugged Josh so tight. Josh returned the hug as well. "I always feel so happy when you come to visit!", I said with a wide smile as I pulled back.
Josh laughed softly, "I am happy too, but you know this won't happen forever. Now, I gotta tell ya about Tiffany. Turns out there was some good bits about her that the boss was a bit merciful on her, but still quite furious at her. Turns out that Tiffany is punished to suffer as a ticket puncher for people that had bad intentions into hell, so she witnesses all the crimes upon each ticket from Earth.".
"Well, she did deserve it after all the harm she has done.", I said with a huff. Josh nods his head. "I also got your note...and you really can send Atta, Dot, and Flik back to their world?", I asked curiously.
Josh grins warmly, "I sure can. You can tell them today, and I will take them home before dark.". "Okay...yeah, so all of us can at least say goodbye to them.", I said softly with a nod. Josh smiled at me.
"What happened to Dexter?", I asked in wonder. Josh whistled lowly, "Now, that was a far more worse punishment. For all his wrongdoings, Dexter was quite discussed between my boss and the red devil, through even if he hadn't raised them, he gave life to your twins, and of course, the other two children as well. And oh, before you wonder about the aborted babies, they are living good and safe in the boss' care.".
"That's great.. the bastard deserves it after all the harm he has done.", I said with a little growl. "So how long until you have to leave?", I asked with a tilt of my head.
"I have a few hours left before I have to leave.", Josh said with a soft smile. I smiled widely, "Let's play some games. Heck, I bet you missed playing catch with me, huh?".
Josh smiled brightly. For the next few hours, we both played the games we used to play when I was little. It made me happy to be able at least relive these moments with my guardian angel and brother, Josh.
Josh was laughing and smiling all the way until he tilted his head with a sigh, "They're calling me back...", and I sighed lightly, "Aww, I wanted to spend more time with you, Josh!". Josh hugged me softly, "Don't worry, you won't be alone. And oh, I got a idea for your twins' birthday. Have they asked for a pet throughout their lives?".
"Pretty much...but I don't know what pet I could give them?", I said with a shrug. Josh smiled as he then leaned into my ear, and whispered. "I suggest a shelter dog. Mixed breeds are the best, and don't go with a puppy. I understand that puppies are cute and that they need homes, but a older dog, they're already trained and all that jazz.", Josh whispered lightly.
I smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Josh.", I said warmly as I hugged him. "I'll be sure to tell the twins..you were the one who gave me the idea.", I said.
"No problem...and remember...I'll always be looking after you, little sis.", Josh said with a smile. Then I could see the dream start to fade away as I slowly woke up. I blinked away the sleep dust as I woke up to the morning light, and I looked over to see Hopper leaning into my shoulder, making me smile at the tender moment.
Time skip-
Later, everyone came back home. Dad was not kidding when he said he would bring us a lot of stuff from Disney World. The entire living room was filled with gifts from Disney World.
We also had spoken with Atta, Flik, and Dot, and asked them if they would want to go back to their world. At first, the three were hesitant as they have become part of our family...but then with tears in their eyes, they said they would be going back to their world. Of course, we had a grand feast for the afternoon, sharing their favorites just like I and Hopper talked about, and probably a hour before dark, we had finished dessert when they said they're ready to go.
Which is what is going on right now. Atta, Flik, and Dot are saying their goodbyes to everyone. Dot hugged the twins with a sniffle, "I am gonna miss you two! Promise me that you'd do that big thing for me, would you?". Alex smiled widely, "Dot, we will do the greatest ground tunnel system ever in the property, we promise.", and Ashley nodded, "Yeah, we will plant your favorite trees at every point of the tunnel system!".
Dot smiled with tears in her eyes. I hugged Flik and Atta with tears in my eyes. "I'm gonna miss you two so much!", I sobbed softly. Filk smiled widely, "I am gonna miss you, sister. You be a great mother once more, and be the best wife and best friend in this family, eh?".
"I'll make sure that back at the anthill...there will be a memorial that will honor you and your family on how you changed our lives for the better, and we'll make sure you'll be remembered for generations in the colony.", Atta said with tears in her eyes with a bittersweet smile. I sobbed as I hugged her.
"Take care, you three.", Hopper said with a warm smile. "We will.", Dot said with a nod.
"Take care, you two.", Flik said to the twins, giving them a grin. "We're gonna miss you, Uncle Flik.", Ashley said softly as she hugged him.
"You too, Aunt Atta.", Alex said, hugging Atta warmly. "We will meet again one day.", Atta said with a tearful smile.
"I hope so.", Rosie said with a hopeful smile. "Have a safe trip back home.", Manny said with a nod.
"Best wishes.", Gypsy said with a sigh. "Make sure to tell everyone some great stories.", Slim said with a wide smile.
"About us.", Molt said with a laugh. "And all the adventures you had in the human world.", Francis said with a wink.
Chris called out, "And remember that even apart, we'll always be with each other!". Dot, Flik, and Atta nodded as one, "We will remember! We love you all!", waving at us with tearful smiles, and I saw their bodies glowing white, hearing Josh's whoop, and right before our eyes, the trio vanished into a white, bright light, disappearing at once.
"Goodbye, friends.", I said with a sniffle. "We will meet again one day.", Hopper said as he held me in his arms. We all stared out into the night sky and the stars. One of them started to glow bright, and I knew what it was.
"Josh.", I whispered with a smile on my face. Hopper chuckled softly, "He's bringing them home.".
"Well, they are now home.", I said with a grin. We all kept staring at the stars as we thought what awaits us in the future.
