Aether loved the two they reminded him of him and is sister he was about to go back into the teapot but then he felt a deep yet sharp pain in his stomach…he looked down…he had been stabbed directly through is stomach, his daughters were frozen in fear as their father writhed in agony
"Don't worry I've survived worse than this so everything will be just fine." He said weakly with a warm smile the Fatui member that stabbed him had already run away so he decided to wrap the area with some bandages.
"Well we should probably eat dinner, oh and don't tell your mother about this she'll worry and that's the last thing I want for her, promise you won't tell her."
"Ok we won't, right Avi?"
"Sure I can keep a secret."
The next day Avi, Lu and Aether were hunting hilichurl. "Hey dad why are we doing this?" Avi asked
"It's for your training obviously, now Lu here's your roar and Avi here's your crescent."
"How come Avi gets a prototype weapon and I don't?"
"Because she asked, you saw the loin's roar and thought cool so I got the lion's roar, I can always forge you a rancour."
"Yay!" She screamed while tugging on her fathers braid
"Ok ok remember you're 10 not 5 I can't carry you with my braid anymore you're hurting me."
"Sorry sorry just got a little excited."
Aether still had the bandages on he had been bleeding so mush that they had changed from white to a pale red. When they saw a hilichurl it turned out it was just a guard for a massive hilichurl camp the biggest one Aether had ever seen. So when the children had attacked the first one the rest came flooding in.
"You two run home and get your mother, NOW!"
"But-."
"NOW!"
Aether knew that he couldn't get out of this with minimal injury, not with the injury he already had. When Ganyu arrived she found Aether unconscious and completely caked in blood she saw all types of hilichurl running towards her so she summoned her weapon charging up cryo energy.
"No don't fight them there're to many of them don't fight them."
Aether and Lumine a large skill set but only Aether had I possessed an extra and ultimate ability that he only used when absolutely necessary obviously he was stripped of his power but when he saw those hilichurls getting closer and closer something snapped and so did his fingers when he snapped his fingers all the hilichurls instantly started faded away he then crumbled into Ganyu's arms and hugged her and as tears flowed out of his eyes like a waterfall.
"Even though I'm not from Liyue even though I'm not from this world you took me in and loved me and I'm grateful, I love you all and I always will goodbye Gannie. He then went limp and died with a smile on his face.
"Goodbye Aether I love you too, I trust the Archons with your soul. Ganyu always kept a cool head but telling her girls that their father wasn't coming home was the hardest thing she ever had to do. After she had stopped the bleeding and cleaned up his body she took him to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour seeing as Hu Tao was one of the many people that he had helped she figure that she should handle it.
"Hu Tao, Aether…recently…passed on so I was wondering if you could hold a ceremony for him."
"It would be my honour to hold for the hero of Liyue."
"I'll notify everyone of his passing and see if they have the time to attend the ceremony."
The day Aethers funeral came everyone was there Albedo, Amber, Barbara, Beido, Bennet, Chongyun, Diluc, Diona, Eula, Fischl, Jean, Kaeya, Keqing, Klee, Lisa, Mona, Ningguang, Noelle, Qiqi, Razor, Rosaria, Sucrose, Childe, Lumine, Venti, Xiangling, Xiao, Xingqiu, Xinyan, Zhongli, Ganyu, Lu and Avi.
"Mommy I thought Daddy couldn't die." Avi questioned
"That's not what immortality means, immortality means that you can't die of age or anyone human condition but you can be killed by someone such as the way your father passed. Okay sweetie?

"How could you do it Aether my own brother you damn idiot." After travelling from world to world with her brother over 500 years she had been crying for hours.
"Hey Lumine it's ok he's with the Archons now if it helps I'm gonna miss him too he was the only person outside the harbingers who could beat me." Childe tried to calm her down but it wasn't working. An now it was time for Ganyu and her children to say their prayers.
"Goodbye Aether I love you now and forever. Lu, Avi do you have anything to say?"
"Daddy thank you for my sword thank you for making me the person I am now and even though you're not coming back I'll carry your sword with honour goodbye Daddy."
"That was beautiful Lu."
"Daddy I don't wanna say goodbye to you yet I don't wanna I don't wanna." She said with tears are streaming down her eyes
"Hey Gannie I have question, why are we attending a funeral for someone who isn't dead."
Ganyu turned around only one person in Teyvat called her Gannie. She turned around and saw a 5'10" golden blonde man that she called husband. She ran up and hugged him
"But I saw you die there was no heartbeat you weren't breathing."
"You're right technically I did die but you all said my soul was in the Archons hands lucky for me I know two."
"Ok but I still have one more question, when those hilichurls were chasing us when you snapped your fingers what happened?"
"You really wanna know? Fine I stopped time."
Flashback beginning
Snap* everything stopped moving Aether summoned his sword his veins popping with anger.
"How dare you try to hurt her I'll put an end to all of you!" After completely skewering all of them he looked at Ganyu and his look of anger and disgust turned into one of love and happiness he limped over to Ganyu and collapsed in her arms.
Flashback end
When everyone heard they all looked awe they all knew that Aether was strong but not that strong.
"I didn't think that was what happened then again stranger things have happened."
He turned to his children and kneeled down to them.
"Hey guys sorry about being gone for three months."
"Daddy! I missed you so much never leave me again!" Lu screamed
"I almost lost you, please just don't do it again." Avi was on the brink of tears
"Ok I won't do it again I promise."
She hugged her fathers leg and said with teary eyes "I love you so much."
"I love you too."
After they had gone to the teapot Ganyu asked a question
"Hey Aether it has been 3 months since we… you know."
"Oh, OHHH okay." He said shakily as she dragged him to their bedroom.
