Kazuya walked out of his apartment looking fresh and renewed even though he had gone through an exhaustive training regime several hours ago but after about three weeks of doing the same thing again and again, his body eventually got accustomed to the workout he does regularly. As a result of this, he was finally able to walk home from the gym without any problem even after hours of pushing his body to its limits.

That's what he gets for persevering and being unwilling to quit what he chose to do in the first place.

Good job, Kazuya!

"Just need to lock this up…"

After closing the door and making sure that the locks were on, he placed his house key in his pocket before heading downstairs while carrying a dark jacket with his other hand.

The young man was dressed in a black collared shirt and black pants, since it was the regular attire that the bouncers wore at the nightclub where he worked. They were given the option to wear a suit and tie to look fancier, but Kazuya felt uncomfortable with the idea of wearing that for several hours while doing nothing.

After exiting the building, Kazuya approached the motorcycle that was parked near the gate and grabbed the helmet that was placed there before putting it on with a smile.

The motorcycle was loaned to him last week by the owner of the club where he worked at, after he found out how far Kazuya lived from the establishment. While Kazuya tried to decline the generous offer, the owner insisted and basically pushed the bike's keys into his hands while saying he had several more personal rides, anyway.

The life of the rich people, really…

In the end, Kazuya simply thanked his boss for being generous and accepted the gesture. Well, he wasn't going to be stubborn and continue declining the offer, right?

Better take advantage of his situation while he still can.

He'll just have to take good care of this baby while he's loaning it. He didn't want to see his boss' reaction should something go wrong with his bike because after all, he was just 'borrowing' the thing…

And yes, as hard as it is to believe, Kazuya owned a driver's license even way before all of this, and he simply never got to utilize it because he had no vehicle of his own. Of course, he had no money to buy even a bicycle because of what happened in the past but now, it was the perfect time for him to enjoy the privileges of someone having a license.

Apparently, the only people who knew he had a license were his family. Not even Kibe nor Kuri knew about it.

After putting on his helmet, he slipped on the biker jacket that he brought with him before making himself comfortable on his seat. He felt excited and happy, because it was the first time he'll be able to drive a motorcycle ever since he got his license.

"Time to go to work," he spoke as he kicked his bike to life, before happily driving out of the compound.

For the first time since last week, Kazuya felt glad that he eventually accepted this bike as a loan from his boss. The nightclub where he worked at was located near the edge of the city and if he had chosen to take a ride on the train and a bus, it would've taken him at least at least 30 minutes to get there.

However, he managed to cut that to less than 15 mnutes while riding his bike and oh, it felt so good while driving one.

The wind against his face, being out on the road alongside other cars, speeding past normal bystanders, all of it felt thrilling and the young man wanted to feel it over and over again.

The nightclub was located behind a large building so that it couldn't be easily seen by most people who are just passing by. However, its exact address can still be found online for those who wanted to go there.

Kazuya stopped at the same area where the other motorcycles were all parked and got off his bike. He removed his helmet and let it hang on the mirror before he stepped back and admired the vehicle as a whole.

"I promise that I'll take care of this like it was my own," he internally swore as if his life depended on it before he headed towards the entrance.

There were two bouncers guarding the entrance to the club and the moment they saw him, they gave a small nod of acknowledgement and Kazuya did the same. He went inside and took off his jacket, before hanging it on the nearby coat hanger.

Walking further deeper down the hall, he then found himself by the main bar where a middle-aged man with a mustache and wearing a grey suit looked delighted to meet him.

"Ahh, Kazuya-boy! You got here earlier than usual! I take it you started using the bike I lent you," the man laughed as he took a sip from his whiskey glass.

"I did, actually. Thanks again for loaning me the bike, James. It feels really good to drive all the way here instead of riding the train or a bus… so much faster that way."

The man before Kazuya was none other than the person who owned the nightclub who was also his boss, James Garcia.

For some reason, he preferred it if his employees all refer to him as strictly 'James' instead of any other name or with an honorific. Apparently, he had an extreme distaste for things like that and would rather treat his employees like buddies.

He was very different compared to other business owners out there…

"Do you want something to drink, Kazuya?" asked Hanae with a smile., a thirty-two year old woman who was the place's veteran bartender.

Kazuya shook his head. "Not at the moment, Hanae-san. My shift is in a few minutes."

As Hanae gave him a nod of understanding, James let out a boisterous laugh, before he raised his glass towards the young man.

"Heh! I told you, didn't I? Be happy, kid! There aren't many people that I can trust with one of my rides but since I like ya, have fun with the bike."

"Thanks a lot, James. I'm even thinking of using it to get to school starting next week, since there's a lot of guys who use their bikes anyway."

"If you're gonna do that, then make sure you put on something cool, Kazuya-boy! You'll attract more of the ladies that way," James winked.

Kazuya shook his head in amusement, remembering the day that he applied for the position of a bouncer in this place.

He was very nervous during that day but he didn't show it, despite the fact that the one who was going to ask him questions was the owner of the establishment itself.

He simply answered every question asked to him with complete honesty, and making it clear that he wasn't looking for a full-time job but rather only a part-time one since he was still a student looking to graduate. Most of those said questions were about what he was planning to do after college and why he thought he was suitable for the job.

...

...

...

Yeah, there's no need to go into detail regarding what happened.

Kazuya went through an interview, he got asked various questions, he answered them while feeling nervous and determined, and then he got accepted. For some reason, James liked him from the get-go which confused him at first until he just got used to it.

The end.

...

...

Needless to say, Kazuya considered it a damn miracle that he was accepted into the position by the end of it, as he babbled on about doing his best to make James proud and to show why he deserves to be a bouncer for this place.

Heh, it seems like despite maturing in many ways, he still retained a bit of his old self within him somewhere.

Since he was only a part-time worker here, the only days where he would arrive to do his job were during Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, that didn't mean he wasn't slacking in his duties as a bouncer. Not only that, he always worked overtime whenever it was Friday and Saturday, because he had nothing to do the following day.

It only added to why James was quite fond of him, working as a guard while being only a college student at the moment, although Kazuya never thought about bragging about it to anyone else. He was too humble for that.

"Yes, you did. Now, if you don't mind me asking, why are you here at the bar? Shouldn't you be in your office right now? What if our customers see you here getting drunk?" The young man asked with a smirk.

"Pfft, I'm allowed to drink too! And I'm still sober, you know?! It gets stressful to sit in that hole all day while dealing with paperwork… I need a drink once in a while to clear my head."

The young man laughed at James' reaction, because it was quite obvious that it won't be long before he gets drunk, and he didn't want to be here when that happens.

"Well, if you need someone to carry you all the way to your office, I'm always here to help out. See you, James."

Kazuya laughed before sending a friendly wave towards his boss. The older man did the same in return, although he sounded like he was grumbling with his next words.

"Yeah, see you around, brat…"

Kazuya shook his head once again before he proceeded to his post by the entrance to the main area. He noticed that his fellow guard who was stationed here hasn't arrived yet but regardless, Kazuya brought out a pair of sunglasses and put them on, before taking a deep breath.

As a bouncer, all he needed to do was stand in one place and act as security, making sure everything was alright within the establishment.

While his job was rewarding, it can also get pretty boring since all he needed to do was watch the whole place and make sure everything was alright. That is, unless some poor soul makes the idiot mistake of breaking some rules in the place, which is when security like him would take action.

Of course, Kazuya was a decent person and would never wish for anyone else to get harmed, but seeing someone stir up trouble in the nightclub did make things less boring if it happens…

"Let's hope I don't fall asleep, then."

The boy laughed nervously to himself before putting on a serious look once again, as it was time for him to go to work.

8:17 PM

Okay, the good news in Kazuya's case was that he wasn't feeling sleepy at all (thanks to a cup of coffee he had before leaving his home), but the bad news, like always, was that he felt extremely bored and wished he could do something to entertain himself somehow.

Of course, he was still a teenager and he didn't have the mental capacity nor the patience of a fully-grown adult yet, so it's understandable that he would feel this way.

Heck, if it was only possible, he could either use his phone to surf the net or say screw it and join the dance floor in front of him just to have a good laugh.

Fortunately, Kazuya won't have to wait much longer since his break takes place at 9 in the evening and it would last for an hour before he gets back to work. Within that span of time, he could go out and buy himself something from a convenience store, surf the net or check his messages, or perhaps just take his bike out for a drive.

Just gotta be patient and wait for at least forty-five more minutes, then!

"Yosh! I know can hold it in for a while longer, so hang in there, me! You've went through much worse with Kaji-san, so there's no need to—"

Kazuya was interrupted from his thoughts when he was again met with the familiar sight of a beautiful girl with long brown hair, and he was quick to remember that he saw her somewhere before.

"Hang on… that's the girl I met earlier… and she's got a boyfriend?" he thought to himself, before he noticed the dark-haired boy who was walking with her in a smug manner. He then shook his head after a few seconds. "Nah, that's probably someone who rented her. She's a rental girlfriend, after all. But I wonder what those two are doing here, because this definitely isn't the place for a date… unless you're old, that is."

His eyes quickly caught on to something, and that was a look in the girl's eyes which signified her feeling uncomfortable for some reason. It's like she didn't want to be here at all, yet there was a smile on her face that made it look like she was fine.

Kazuya frowned in confusion and after thinking over what he should do, he simply kept his gaze towards the newcomers while staying in his place.

"Maybe I should keep an eye on her just in case…"

He had no idea why the girl looked uncomfortable, but if he needed to make a wild guess, it may be because of that guy she's currently with…

Oh boy, Kazuya had no idea how right he was.

Chizuru Mizuhara thought she was having a good day like all the times where she would do an exceptional work at her job as a rental girlfriend, but her current expression didn't exactly carry the definition of 'good'.

No, she was having a hard time keeping personal feelings in check, which was a big thing considering the amount of patience she had while at work.

And it was all because of the client she was with.

Chizuru was somewhat looking forward to this one, because he had rented her for a whole six hours starting from four in the afternoon, which also meant a big pay for her services. That is, until she learned what this customer was like for the duration of their date.

Introducing himself as Motohiro, the guy seemed to have no knowledge about the limits of what a client and a rental girlfriend can do, especially the most important rule of them all:

Intimate actions between the customer and the rental girlfriend are strictly prohibited.

Of course, Chizuru had encounters with multiple guys who were like this in the past and she easily dealt with them by either strictly drawing a line, cancelling her services herself, a swift kick to the face, or a simple call to the police.

However, this was different.

The pay she received was high and it would be a significant help to her and her grandmother who was currently in the hospital. Out of her professionalism and a bit of gratitude, Chizuru simply chose to warn Motohiro every time he made an attempt to get handsy with her.

However, she was beginning to regret her decision because Motohiro seemed to not care anymore about rules and just wanted to get his hands on her any chance he could get.

The moment she felt his arm wrap around her shoulder, she let out a sigh and removed it immediately. That was the 8th attempt while they were here and Chizuru felt more of her patience slipping by the moment.

"Motohiro-kun, I told you already, there are limits to what you can do with me. Please don't get too comfortable because we are not a real couple and I am not your actual girlfriend," she whispered, which was only loud enough for the boy to hear.

"Haha, sorry about that. You were just too cute and I couldn't resist!" the boy grinned, although he didn't seem like he regretted his actions one bit.

Chizuru rolled her eyes inwardly. She already knew how men like him worked and she could already tell that Motohiro won't listen to her at all. The only thing she could do now was prepare herself for when he tries laying his hand on her again.

"If he does it again, I'm done," she told herself with a serious look as the pair continued on into the nightclub, while she felt uneasy herself.

Surprise, surprise, Kazuya has a license! Yes, I can do that because canon RAG doesn't give too much detail on the characters, plus Kazuya is already 21. So yes, he can drive vehicles with permission. Yes, Chizuru is there at the nightclub too, and the two may meet sooner than you think! But that guy with her definitely spells bad news... hopefully, he doesn't try anything on her again!
