"SCOTT, MELISSA!" Peter screamed as he banged on the McCall's front door.
"Peter, what the hell? It's 2 AM!" Scott screamed out his window. He looked down at the other man down below. he was sweating, and panting. Not from exertion, but nervousness. he was nearly trembling.
"SCOTT, I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU DON'T COME DOWN HERE…." Peter screamed.
"I'm coming, calm yourself!" Scott yelled back, slightly nervous, then returned out of view from outside. In seconds he was down at the front door, face to face with his brother in law.
"She's gone." He said urgently.
"What do you mean, "shes gone"? How is she gone?"
"She's gone! I was drugged. The room is scentless, the whole apartment. Not even our scents." He said frustratedly, running his hand through his hair.
"There must be something. Come one, if we can't find anything, maybe Sheriff Stilinski can." Scott said, pushing him back towards the car.
Kayla let out a low groan. She pried her eyes open to a dark, cold room.
"Where the hell am I?" she groaned.
"We were wondering the same thing." A voice spoke up.
"Erica? Thank god! We all thought you were dead." Kayla sighed in relief.
"Who the hell are you anyways? Why do you care where we've been?" She snarled.
"Kayla Hale, teacher, Delta, last of the female Hale's, not including the two in my womb." She said sarcastically.
"Whoever the hell you are, your no Hale." A voice growled from behind her. Kayla turned to look to where the voice originated. It was a girl. She knew her well, but had not seen her in a long time. It was a shock that she was even still alive. It was a welcome surprise.
"Cora? You're alive?" She asked, softly in a confused tone.
"Do I know you?" Cora snapped.
"When you were 9 and before that, I was at your house, all the time. I was always hanging out with Derek and Peter. I even babysat you whenever your sister was gone, since your mom didn't trust the boys." She explained with a smile at the memories.
"Then you left." Cora said with a frown." But if you're back, and a Hale, You married Derek! He's still alive!" She let out a sigh of relief.
"Whoa there Tiger. Derek might be alive, but there's no way I'd marry him." She said with wide eyes.
"But your a Hale, And you obviously married into it. Is someone else alive!?" Cora said excitedly.
"You must have really got out of Beacon, fast. Derek was at school. Peter was in the house. He was burned, badly. Straight into a coma, for 6 years." She said amused at the younger girls optimism.
"Uncle Peter? Two of them are still alive? You married my Uncle?" She spoke out.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down there sweetheart. Why don't you both come sit down over here. You've been gone for almost a week, I'll fill you in on things. You both have missed a lot, even before you got stuck in this vault." She said, patting the floor beside her.
"Sorry to interrupt the pack reunion, but I thought i better make myself known." A deep voice from a man who had just walked in boomed.
"You." Kayla growled.
"Yes," the voice said amused." Me."
"STILES! SHERIFF STILINSKI! WE NEED HELP!" Scott screamed at the Stilinski house. Lights turned on in the house, before two figures emerged from behind the front door.
"What the hell Scott! It's nearly 3 AM." the Sheriff groaned.
"Peter Hale? Scott, I could have sworn we "handled" him, just last month." Stiles spazzed.
"There are more important things to be concerned about, Stiles!" Scott said panicked.
"Boys, what's happening here? Handled?" Sheriff Stilinski asked, confused.
"Kayla, she's gone missing." Peter growled.
"Missing? Are you certain?" The sheriff asked, running his hand through his thinning hair.
"Pretty damn sure. Woke up at 1 am and she's gone. She's pregnant, not insane." He snarled.
"Pregnant? This is a missing persons case now. Technically we have to wait 24 hrs. I'm going to the station to fill in a report. Peter, you should check places she could possibly be. Boys, you're coming with me. Let's go." The sheriff led the boys out to his car, and Peter started walking into the Forest. As the others pulled out of the driveway, Peter's phone buzzed. It was Kayla.
"Where the hell are you!" Peter screamed into the phone. The car came to a halting screech. Scott jumped out.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." She said hushed through the phone.
"Tell me where you are. Now." He demanded.
"I-I can't. I just want you to know I'm ok. I've got Cora and Erica and we're all safe, but not for long."
"Cora? Kayla, you're not making sense. Just tell me where you are." He begged as Scott got closer.
"You've got until the full moon, or we're all dead." She said hanging up.
"No!" He yelled smashing his phone on the ground.
"What did she say?" Scott asked. Peter looked up.
"We've got until the full moon to save them all.". He received a text from her. It was a song.
The Words by Christina Perri.
"I fucking hate you." Kayla growled.
"No need for profanities."
"Kill yourself."
"That's not a nice thing to say to someone who has saved your life, multiple times." He said with a smirk.
"I'm going to buy a cat and tape it to your head." She growled.
"Am I supposed to be threatened?"
"You will be when you wake up with inch long nails attached to a fur ball, digging into your face." She bit back. "Peter's going to kick your ass."
"Yes, your little Beta mate is going to kick MY ass." He grinned.
"Sure, Beta." She said rolling her eyes.
"Was that sarcastic?" He questioned.
"No, why would you think such a thing?" She replied sarcastically, leaving the girls beside her snickering.
"Why do I even put up with you?" He sighed to himself.
"Why don't you send big foot in here so we can play with her." Kayla growled maliciously. She heard Kali growl from outside the vault..
"Now now, Kayla, am I going to have to separate you two?" He said grinning.
"As long as you keep that whore away from my husband, we shouldn't have a problem." Kayla growls, loud enough for Kali to hear in the next room.
"I didn't touch him! He's a man whore!" She yelled from the next room. Kayla looked around Duke , over at the door.
"While that may be true, you were the one trying to seduce him."
"Don't make me come over there, you wh…." She started storming into the room.
"Kali! Ge control of yourself, or remove yourself from here." Duke snapped. Kali growled, then began to back off: Kayla wasn't done.
"That's right, little bitch. Go home, like your big strong alpha told you." Kayla said smirking.
Kali roared, and launched herself at Kayla. Kayla didn't flinch, as she watched Kali jump at her, be grabbed by her grotesque feet, pulled back, and slammed into one of vault walls.
"Must you cause me such problemes, pup? I just want to talk." Duke said sighing.
"How about next time, you visit my apartment like a normal person, instead of wolf-napping me AT ONE AM WHEN IM PREGNANT AND I NEED SLEEP." She said, screaming the last bit at him, making everybody but him, flinch.
"Fine, if I must. For now, how can we get you talking?" He said, rolling his eyes.
"Two things: a pack of cigs, a lighter, and mango vodka."
Peter listened to the song, over and over again. He couldn't figure it put. Was it supposed to be a clue? Well he had no clue, literally and figuritivaly, until he realized. She wasn't giving him a clue, it was a message. Not where to find her, but about him. He never told her he loved her. Maybe the first time he said it, when he proposed, and if it counted, in the letter before he died. She was telling him, she didn't blame him, of all things she could have sent. He didn't know how to feel. He never felt the need to tell her how much he loved her, because he just assumed she knew, but how was she supposed to know if he never told her? He never really thought about how much danger she was in, just being out in the open all day, and how lucky they were nobody ever tried to come after her. He had never ben one to take things for granted, but now? He realised he had always taken Kayla's life for granted. Now his stupidity had put more thanher on the line, it put the lives of hhis unborn twins in danger, too. No, he wouldn't let this happen. He would find her, and he would save her. He would fix his mistakes, and he would never make one like this again.
