Level: 5-7

As I got to the 5th floor, I began looking for an open stall. Being that this was no longer employee parking, we can use this floor if any spaces were available. I wasn't surprised to see it full, but maybe there'd be one stall on this floor? Driving by slowly, I kept my eyes out while chatting with my friends, looking at them occasionally through the mirror.

Ana: OMAE WA MO SHINDEIRUUU! *Ana slaps Cody's cheek with a bag of chips that exploded upon impact*

Cody: N-NANI?! AAAAAAHHH! *The two of them laugh like children*

"Oh my god you guys! You're making a salty potato chip mess in my car!" I wasn't looking forward to dealing with the roaches that would feed off those chips if that didn't get cleaned up soon…

Cody: Ey man it's cool, we'll pick em up after, hahahaha!

Ana: I bet you'll eat 'em off the dirty car mat too, huh?

Cody: Extra flavor *chef's kiss*

Ana: Eeewww Codyyyy! What the hellll?!

I ended up laughing along, this was meant to be our night of fun after all. I'll worry about the greasy potato chip spill once the convention is over. Just like I thought, there were no empty parking stalls on floor 5. There never is anyway, the higher up you go, the easier it is to find space and usually when I go here for my doctor's appointments I usually end up on the 7th floor...

Heading up to the 6th parking level, it was growing tiresome just driving in a circle just to skip the line of the convention building's parking. But it's too late to go back now, we gotta pretend like we're visiting a friend we don't have in the hospital or that nightwatch guy might get upset with us. And it was at this moment that I noticed something, maybe it was nothing, but it gave off some strange vibes. I'm not even sure if it was there before or not, but I could see it now.

"Hey guys, look at all the cars, do you see that?..." I asked.

Ana: Huh? See what?

"The windows, they're all like, foggy or something... Are you seeing it too?" I lightened the pressure of my foot on the gas pedal and took my eyes off the path ahead of me to stare at the rows of hazy car windows. To say this confused me would be an understatement.

Cody: Wooah, you're riiiight. That's so weird...

All the cars in this structure seemed normal at first, but upon closer inspection all of them really did have a slight fog behind the glass. Like the humidity that collects under the windows while driving in cold rainy weather. None of us wanted to get out and take a closer look…

We were now approaching the 7th floor. Our joyous, happy-go-lucky attitudes were draining away after seeing that. It wasn't quite normal. Even if tonight was an especially cold night, that still wouldn't happen. Oh well, maybe it's just the lamps in this place reflecting dim light off the glass and it's just our eyes playing tricks on us! Yeah, I'll just keep telling myself that until we finally park and head over to the convention…

Ana: Oh my gosh is the air conditioning on? Why's it so stuffy in here?

Cody: I was about to say the same thing, it's hot all of a sudden!

"Hm? Could've sworn I had the AC on, lemme check..." I stopped driving to adjust the knob to turn up the cold air, but it was already on full blast…

"Uh oh, I think it's broken. It's turned all the way but it's not cold anymore. I'll crack open the windows." I rolled down all the windows and the cool night breeze swept through.

Cody: Ahh that's better!... *sniff* Yo, did you just fart? Hehehehe, smells awful!

"What? Cody nobody farted! Hahaha… Ohh. Oh jeez, I smell it too, what is that!?

Ana: Eughh, I've never smelt anything this bad in my life! *cough* Let's close the windows!

I shut all the windows back up again, surprisingly the moment I closed them, the smell went away! I don't even have air fresheners in my car, and there was no smell residue, but thankfully it went away. I'm not even sure what that smelt like. It was just some strong, bitter stench, almost rotten, and it seemed to fill the entire floor. Could've been a sewage leak? I guess we're gonna have to sit in this warm car with temporarily disabled AC for a bit longer. But no big deal, we're already at the other ramp of the 7th floor and driving up to the 8th. The guy said not to park on 9 so I really hope we get an open stall soon. Preferably I don't wanna go to 10 and take a long elevator ride down to ground level, but if that's what it takes to get to our anime festivities it's what we gotta do. As weird as this night has been so far, I think once we get there we'll be enjoying ourselves so much we'll forget all about it. It's just a search for parking now…
