Who Are You?
Starfire woke up and then smiled. She was safe and not dead. She reached out to the Robin who was also out cold. "What the hell..." She was scared and it was all she thought. "Why are you a bird!?"
The Robin twitched and woke up. "Wh-what..?" It was human again.
"Why are you a bird?"
Slade was gone and they were all alone. "I don't -NO!" He crawled towards his old Slade coin -the one he used to wear in when he was Slade's apprentice. "I don't want to become his apprentice, again."
"Then let's get out of here." Robin took Starfire's outstretched hand and they left Slade's evil lair and headed towards a sunset that was going down. It was twilight and all that was around them were bubbles, but why? "Where are we?"
"I have no idea."
They explored the bubbly scenery and held hands, creeping towards Titan's Tower. They needed to get home and that was their goal -before Slade captures them, again.
Once they made it to the Tower, Robin stretched out his aching bones. "So good to be home!"
"Where have you been!?"
"I've been adjusting to my new life. Being a superhero isn't easy, Starfire."
"Right..."
"I still remember Batman and my life with the Titans."
"That's good."
"Your English... you're not... messing up."
"No. I gravitated towards the English language much better over the years."
"I see. It's refreshing."
She smiled and then hugged Robin, whose eyes widened and then relaxed, hugging her back. "I've missed you..."
"I've missed you, too."
They released the hug and Starfire walked to her old purple room. "The round bed is still here."
"Really?"
"Yes. Everything is how we left it -after I got it fixed of course. The tower was in shambles when I was born."
"Oh. Yeah. That last fight was excrutiating."
She tried to force a smile, but it was for naught and she frowned. "Oh Robin... I miss our friends."
"So do I, Starfire, so do I."
