I didn't want to do the chapters as the two part stories so both episodes are in the one chapter.

Chapter 4 - Slitheen in Downing Street

Powell Estate, London

The TARDIS materialises in the middle of the concrete estate and Rose rushes out of the blue wooden doors as the Time Lord follows her out and Sage stays leaning against the blue box. She feels her phone vibrating from her leather jackets pocket as her two travelling companions are in conversation. As she pulls out the small flip phone, she reads the various missed calls she'd been having and as she reads down the list of notifications, she's shocked to see they date back a whole year.

At the back of the vampires mind, she feels the chuckling of the TARDIS and rolls her eyes once her eyes land on a missing poster not far from where they stand with Rose Tyler's face plastered all over it. She shakes her head at yet another failed attempt of driving by the Doctor and quickly comes to think this may be a recurring thing with the mad alien.

As Sage reads over the messages, she cuts into the conversation, "What time are we meeting back here?" she questions, pocketing her phone into her inner pocket.

"Are you not coming with us?" The Doctor wonders in confusion as he tilts his head at the girl.

"Yeah, you can meet my mum!" Rose says as she almost jumps up and down in excitement.

"I've got things I need to do while I'm here…" Sage trails off as she begins to walk backwards, away from the estate. "So, how long Doc?"

"24 hours. Then we'll be off again." The time lord states, almost as if he's sulking. "You need me to come with you?"

Sage watches as a flash of jealousy rushes through Rose's eyes and the old vampire shakes her head as she laughs internally at the young blonde. "No, I'm good. I'll be back in 24 hours. Rose has my number if you need me." At that, she spins and almost jogs out the estate and she can feel the eyes of the man on the back of her head and she just chuckles as she wonders what Rose Tyler's mum will say about the girls supposed disappearance of a whole year.

As she makes her way into central London, Sage rushes to her apartment and as she walks into the building, she walks at a normal pace up to her apartment and slows as she hears muffled sounds coming from the flat. Cocking her head to the side as she stands in front of the black door with the numbers 412 written in gold, she suddenly kicks the door in and grabs the throat of the nearest to her and throws them up against the now closed door. Her fangs drop as she snarls at the intruder but quickly her expression changes as she laughs at the face of her closest friend and hears the shouts of a girl behind her.

"Enzo, what the hell are you doing here?" She questions, ignoring the furious expression painted across his face as he pushes her back from him and she takes a step back, knowing his strength was no match for her own.

"What am I doing?" He growls out before pointing an accusing finger at the girl. "Where the hell have you been?" He demands. "I've been worried sick about you, not knowing where you were. No witches could locate you, it was like you… you just…" He quietened down then as his blue eyes fell to the floor in grief as the girl came forward.

"Sage…" She whispered as she came behind Enzo.

"Hey Kenna… It's a… long story. But I'm okay, I'm here." Sage admits, knowing how worried Enzo could get over her at times.

"Sage… we all thought you were dead." Kenna wonders, staring at her friend as if she was a ghost.

"Why would I be dead?" Sage questions as she watches the two and looks around the room. Grimoires were thrown everywhere and the whole place was a mess.

"Mikael… he was spreading the word that he had killed you. No-one could find you, even the witches on the Other Side had no idea at where you were." Kenna admitted as Sage rolled her eyes at the name of the Destroyer himself.

"Killed me? No." Sage shook her head but wondered at what possessed the man to lie about her murder. "I was travelling with an alien in his time machine and he got the date wrong and we ended up a year later than we should have been." She admitted outright, as her friends eyes widened at her bluntness. The two were sputtering and confused at the immortals statement, even though they knew she wasn't lying to them. Sage laughed at the two as she made her way to the kitchen. "Have we got any O negative? I'm starving." She said as she began to hunt through the fridge for the blood bags.

"Uh… yeah. A few." Enzo stated as if he were in a daze before snapping back and rushing to her side. "What do you mean alien?"

"You know… alien." She says, sipping from a blood bag as she points upwards.

"There's no such thing Sage." Kenna states as she takes a seat amongst the papers.

"Oh, come on. I've been telling you this for years, they were bound to be here soon. They were everywhere in the news when I was a kid…" Sage says as she leans against the kitchen counter, Enzo landing next to her. "In fact, I swear there's one soon…"

"Right…" Kenna starts before shaking her head and going to hug her friend. "Well, you can explain everything to me later but now that you're okay, I need to head to New Orleans, something about a doppleganger…" She hugs the brunette closely as she sighs. "Glad to see you're not dead, Sage."

"Spread the word for me? I promise I'll tell you everything next time we speak. And let me know what happens with the doppleganger yeah?"

Nodding at the vampire, Kenna grabs her things and rushes out to catch the next flight to the states and Enzo watches her expectantly as she rolls her eyes at his insistence. "His name's the Doctor." She tells him. "Some alien called a Time Lord, he's got this ship. The TARDIS. Looks like one of those old 50's police boxes." She admits as the two face each other at the counter.

"The blue ones?" Enzo questions as he takes a sip from the now stolen blood bag as Sage rolls her eyes and quickly gets another. "Why would it look like that?"

"I don't know. Says it's a disguise or something." Sage tells the younger vampire as she spins on the chair slowly. "Anyway, I came across him and this human, Rose, she's a bit of a pain and I was gonna kill them but they were talking about weird stuff and the box got my attention. Ended up travelling with them, going to the past, the future, watched the Earth burn billions of years in the future…" She trailed off as she was deep in thought. "Oh, I saw Dickens again." She tells him. "You would have liked the man, nice guy."

"Why haven't you killed this… Doctor yet? You'd be the first vampire to taste alien blood… also, why does he call himself the Doctor? Bit weird if you ask me." He spits out in slight jealousy at the man who had taken his best and closest friend away from him for a year.

"I'm surprised I haven't. His blood smells… I've never smelt something so addictive. It takes every ounce of my strength to not kill him on the spot. But I'm holding off for now. He's too interesting to kill him just yet. And I don't know why he calls himself the Doctor. Haven't asked. Didn't seem important." Sage admits as she raises her feet to lean against Enzos chair.

"Now, it wouldn't be fair for you to drink from him on your own." Enzo tells her as he glares at his friend. "You have to share when you kill him, you know, to make it up to me for leaving me for a whole year… I had to deal with Diego all on my own."

She laughs at the childishness of the vampire next to her as she agrees to the deal. "Okay, I won't kill him without you, Enzo." She rolls her eyes and is about to continue when the two hear a large crash sound reverberating through them and Enzo turns to the TV as he puts the news channel on only to be in shock at the sight he sees. The TV shows a large alien spaceship crash landed in the middle of the Thames and Sage laughs as she recalls the event when she was much younger.

"Honestly, its like trouble follows this man." She laughs as her phone begins to light up with the name Rose Tyler.

"Rose Tyler?" Enzo enquires. "The human?"

"This little blonde, she's young, bit of an attitude." Sage rolls her eyes at the blonde. She still hadn't decided where she stood with the girl. Knowing she'd kill her at some point did factor into that thought process.

"Would you turn her?" Enzo wonders as the name rings out.

Sage bursts into laughter at the thought and quickly shoots the idea down. "Trust me, she is not vampire material. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a Ripper."

"You gonna head over there?" Enzo wonders as he watches her eyes fixed on the screen.

"They're gonna keep ringing if I don't." She announces as the phone rings for the third time. "You wanna come?"

"Nah… If this guy is as delectable as you say, I won't be able to hold back. Let me know when though." Enzo says as he gets up. "Oh, and don't leave for a year without telling me again." At that, he disappears, rushing to wherever he was going next and Sage shook her head at the young vampire. He never did say bye to her…

Picking up the phone, she answers, "Are we going to the crash?" She immediately asks.

"The Doctor says to meet us back at mine. We can't get through all the blocked roads right now." Rose tells her as she hears the Doctor asking who was on the phone in the background but Sage agrees and hangs up before he has the chance to jump on the call. Shaking her head, she leaves a note for Enzo to clean her apartment before rushing off herself, now full on numerous blood bags and returns to the Powell Estate.

As she slowly walks towards the building of flats, she makes her way up to the address Rose had texted her and knocks on the door as she hears two unknown woman inside. The white door is pulled open as she comes face to face with Rose Tyler. The blondes eyes light up at the curly haired woman and drags her into the flat as she slams the door behind them. "Come on in Sage!"

"Oi, don't you dare slam that door Rose Tyler." An older blonde steps into view, quickly scanning over the woman trailing behind her daughter. "And who's this?"

"Mum this is.."

"Sage Evans, Mrs Tyler. I've heard a lot about you." She nods to the woman who watches her suspiciously.

"Did he kidnap you too or are you in on the whole thing?"

"Mum!"

"Sage! You made it." The Doctor shouts, his concentrated gaze peeling off the screen to watch his companion. "Come watch this." He waves over as he returns his attention to the news.

"No, I agreed to travel with the two." She uttered out as the woman she now knew as Jackie Tyler smiled at her then.

"Tea? Coffee?" She muttered, going to grab a mug.

"Whatever's strongest." Sage adds as she goes closer to the TV, Rose hurriedly taking the last seat near the Doctor.

"Strongest… Whiskey?" Jackie Tyler mentions as Rose turns in shock.

"Mum! You can't offer her whiskey." The blonde squeals as the Doctor shushes everyone.

"Actually, that'd be great, thanks." Nodding, Jackie grabs two glasses instead, and nods at the girl at the ice she had put in one. "I take it neat."

"I'm sure you'll need it with that one." The elder Tyler woman glares at the back of the alien man as she fills the glass and passes it over to Sage.

"Oi, I'm trying to listen." The Doctor demands as the two woman glare and Rose watches him in slight awe as Sage stays against the wall as she watches the Doctors neck with hunger that she barely conceals.

The reporter on the TV speaks but Sage barely pays any attention as she shoves down the urge to kill everyone in the room and drown in their blood. She sips the whiskey methodically, using the alcohol as a crutch for her undeniable hunger and manages to control it just as the Doctor pulls her from the room by her pale hand without a word and she questions him but Rose bursts out of the flat behind them.

"And where do you think you're going?" She demands from the man as he continues walking.

"Nowhere. It's just a bit human in there for me. History just happened and they're talking about where you can buy dodgy top-up cards for half price. I'm off on a wander, that's all." He admits as he makes his way closer to the blue box. "And Sage looked bored."

"Right. There's a spaceship on the Thames and you're just wandering." The blonde says skeptically, crossing her arms as she stops in front of the Doctor and Sage, blocking the path.

"Nothing to do with me. It's not an invasion. That was a genuine crash landing. Angle of descent, colour of smoke, everything. It's perfect." The Time Lord admits.

"So?"

"So maybe this is it. First contact. The day mankind officially comes into contact with an alien race. I'm not interfering because you've got to handle this on your own. That's when the human race finally grows up. Just this morning you were all tiny and small and made of clay. Now you can expand." He mentions as he patiently waits for the girl to move. "You don't need me. Go and celebrate history. Spend some time with your mum."

"Promise you both won't disappear?" Rose pulls out the worst puppy dog eyes Sage had ever seen, and she holds in the laughter at the blondes obvious feelings for the Doctor.

"Tell you what. Tardis key. It's about time you had one. See you later." As the alien hands the blonde a key, he moves around her as Sage decides to trail after him and once out of Rose's hearing, asks the Doctor the real reason for them going.

"Oh, we are definitely going to see the crash. Let her stick with her mum for a bit. We're just doing some boring harmless exploring." The Doctor says as he gets to the Tardis doors. "Oh, before I forget." His hand is tucked deep in his pockets for a few silent minutes as he struggles to find something before pulling out a small silver key. "No reason for you both not to have keys." He places the key in her hand as he enters the blue box and Sage just catches the voice of Mickey Smith, before entering the blue box and shutting the door as it begins to dematerialise. Sage had completely forgotten about Rose's human boyfriend. And she thought that Rose had too…

The Tardis lands in the middle of a store room as the Doctor leads the way in the small space and uses the sonic to unlock the door as Sage smells a strange scent coming from within the facility. She believed it to be whatever alien had crash landed but she couldn't help but smell pork, even if it had a strange overlay on the smell. The Doctor shushes the sonic as Sage ponders the strange smell and wonders what was awaiting them.

They get the store room unlocked at which point Sage was getting anxious and just wanted to kick the door down. The two wander the halls for a second before the doctor motions at a room at the end of the hall. "I think it's this room here." He tells the vampire with fake confidence as he casually strolls along. He walks into the room, Sage coming behind him as she smells a handful of humans inside.

They walk into the room to be met with a room full of soldiers and they stare in silence before the soldiers grab their weapons and point their guns at the two as the Doctor pushes Sage behind him quickly, the girl rolling her eyes at the protective nature of the man and quickly getting annoyed with it. She could very well handle herself. The scent of pork is stronger now and Sage turns her head back towards where they came from as she goes closer to the door, ignoring the soldiers and the Doctor who had noticed her movements. She hears the movement of this 'alien' before the others hear the scream and the Doctor jumps into actions at the high pitched noise.

"Defence plan delta! Come on. Move! Move!" The Time Lord leads the soldiers away, grabbing onto Sage's hand as he drags her along. But the adrenaline just made her hunger worst as it strengthened the scent of the Time Lords blood and her fangs dropped down as they ran, and she desperately tried to regain control to hide her true face from the alien and the soldiers following.

As they come into a room, they meet the eyes of the scientist who is cowering by her desk but she stares in fear at Sage just as the veins retreat from under her eyes and she feels her fangs slide back into their hiding place. She's speechless as she stares at the girl, Sage ignoring her as the Doctor orders the men.

"Spread out. Tell the perimeter it's a lockdown."

"What…" The woman says as she continues to watch Sage but the rest of the group just mistake it for shock at the alien.

"Do it." The Doctor shouts as the soldiers follow his orders.

Sage, quietly making her way to the woman, kneels down in front of her as the others are distracted and her pupils contract and dilate as she holds the womans gaze. "Don't say a word about what you saw on my face. It's just the alien that scared you." She compels the woman quickly before pulling her up calmly, just as the Doctor comes over.

In the mortuary, he places his hands on the womans shoulders as she looks at him in shock. "I swear it was dead." She whispers to the man.

"Coma, shock, hibernation, anything. What does it look like?" He questions just as Sage gazes at the filing cabinet where she hears and smells the pig-like scent. Metal clatters as the others catch on. "It's still here." The Doctor gestures to Sage to stay with the woman as he walks closer to the cabinet.

"Your name." Sage whispers to the woman. "What's your name?"

"I…" The woman states before she forces her gaze anywhere but Sage. "Toshiko. Toshiko Sato."

"Do you drink vervain Toshiko?" Sage growls out as she steps closer to the woman, grabbing her arm out of sight of the others as her grip tightens painfully. "Answer me." She demands without looking her way.

"I… every morning. My mother makes it." She shakily adds as Sage rolls her eyes and angles herself closer to the girl before whispering next to her ear.

"Mention what you saw on me to anyone, and I'll tear the flesh off your body before tracking down your dear mother and stringing her up before draining her of her blood." She tells the girl as she flinches. Just as Toshiko is about to call for help, she grabs the back of her neck and forces herself into her mind, seeing the address of the womans mother.

"Flat 32d." She says. "That's where your mother lives. Now if you want the both of you to live, I suggest you shut your mouth."

Tosh nods as Sage lets her go but sticks to her side just as the soldier moves the filing cabinet out of view to show a small pig, dressed in black latex which runs out on its hindlegs squealing.

"Hello." The Doctor grins before shouting, "Don't shoot!" Following the group of soldiers, the Doctor runs after them, Sage following with a terrified Toshiko behind him. They make it just as a soldier shoots the pig as the Time Lord exclaims, "What did you do that for? It was scared! It was scared."

The Doctor, angry at the soldiers, demands they return the body of the pig to the mortuary as they all return to the room they were in. Toshiko struggles to keep her eyes off Sage as the girl leans against the wall, keeping her gaze on Toshiko and the Doctor exclusively.

"I just assumed that's what aliens look like, but you're saying it's an ordinary pig from Earth." Toshiko asks the man as she tries to force her thoughts away from the murderous creature in front of her. She was sure she'd have bruises from the tight grip she had on her.

"More like a mermaid. Victorian showmen used to draw the crowds by taking the skull of a cat, gluing it to a fish and calling it a mermaid. Now someone's taken a pig, opened up it's brain, stuck bits on, then they've strapped it in that ship and made it dive bomb. It must've been terrified. They've taken this animal and turned it into a joke." The Doctor explains as he examines the pig.

"So it's a fake?" Sage questions, grinning at the flinch from Toshiko at her voice.

"But the technology augmenting its brain, it's like nothing on Earth. It's alien. Aliens are faking aliens. But why would they do that? Doctor?" Toshiko adds on, deciding to deal with the woman later but as she lifts her head back up, the two are already gone.

She walks out into the corridor as she hears a door slam nearby.

"Toshiko." Sage drawls out from behind her as she turns rapidly but sees no-one. There isn't a soldier in sight but she feels her breath on her neck from behind her once again. The hair on her arms stands on edge as her heart skips a beat and Toshiko can hear the blood rushing through her veins. "I do hate it when you humans put that disgusting herb in your bodies. Makes it ever so difficult for me." Sage purrs in her ear as her fangs descend.

"Who are you?" She whispers, not moving a muscle. "What are you?" She questions as Sage grins evilly.

"Right now, what I am is starving…" Sage said as she let her fangs graze the womans pulse. "And you dear…"

"What the hell?" A soldier says out of nowhere as Sage locks eyes with him over Toshikos shoulder and as he raises his gun, she rushes to him, knocking the gun away as she bites down on his neck and covers his screams with her hand, feeling the blood drip down her chin as she gorged on him. She hears the shuffling of Toshiko, ready to run from the vampire as Sage drops the now drained soldier onto the floor, snapping his neck as she finished.

She turns to the scientist, licking the blood off her as she wipes it off her chin with a tissue in her jacket pocket. "Lucky…" She purrs once again, stalking towards Toshiko.

"What?" She repeats as she walks backwards.

"What I was going to say before we were rudely interrupted… that you dear are veryyyyy lucky." Sage admits as she grins wickedly. "Call it your reward for keeping quiet. I don't kill you or your mother and you get the pleasure of hiding this body for me."

"But I…. You killed him."

"Well, yes." She adds sarcastically, "that part is quite obvious dear." She uses her speed to appear in front of Toshiko, hearing the doctor reach the store room where the TARDIS was held. "Deal with the body. You wouldn't want to put your dear mother in danger now, would you?"

Sage rushes off, leaving Toshiko alone, staring at the body of the soldier before hurrying to hide it, fearful for what the woman could do to her family.

Sage appears behind the Doctor as he reaches the TARDIS and he doesn't even notice her little disappearance as he grins at her, now free of blood over her face. "A pig?! Could you believe it?" He laughs as he smiles genuinely at the girl, ignoring that niggling at his hearts about his attraction to the 'human' girl.

"Every adventure with you Doctor gets weirder and weirder." Sage laughs, leaning into the Doctor as he pulls her through the Tardis doors.

He grins widely as he looks down at the short girl before asking. "You wouldn't have it any other way though, would you?" He wonders as the girl raises and eyebrow at the alien.

She hears his heart beats pick up pace for a second as she laughs on the inside. She really couldn't wait to taste his blood. "Like fuck I would Doc." She smirks as he rolls her eyes at her language.

"You're worse than a sailor you are." He turns towards the TARDIS controls, beginning to pilot away from the hospital as she grins, ignoring the disapproval tickling her mind from the Tardis.

As the Doctor pilots the TARDIS, he sneaks a glance at the girl beside him, watching the way he controlled the old blue box with immense concentration like she was memorising the movements. He grinned at her just as the Tardis made the metallic wheezing noise he loved and the two held on as he landed the blue box. They turn to the doors just as they swing open and both Tylers and the elusive Mickey Smith come rushing through.

Sage laughed at the bewilderment on Jackie Tyler's face as the Doctor spoke, not noticing the older Tyler on the ship. "All right, so I lied. I went and had a look. But the whole crash landing's a fake. I thought so. Just too perfect. I mean, hitting Big Ben. Come on, so I thought let's go and have a look…" He uttered out in quick succession before Rose cut him off.

"My mum's here." The blonde spoke as the time lord turned to the older blonde glaring at him.

"Oh, that's just what I need. Don't you dare make this place domestic." He warns before Mickey walks up to him.

"You ruined my life, Doctor. They thought she was dead. I was a murder suspect because of you." He accuses, getting up close to the time lord.

"You see what I mean? Domestic." The time lord rolls his eyes as he looks to Sage for back up as she laughs.

"He has a point Doc." She adds as he watches her in false betrayal.

"I bet you don't even remember my name." Mickey admits as he throws his hands up, glaring at the balding, big eared man.

"Ricky." He says confidently and smugly.

"It's Mickey." Micky Smith tells him as Sage watches Rose hold in a laugh at the sight.

"No, it's Ricky." The Doctor tells him, turning his back and purposefully trying to wind the man up.

"I think I know my own name."

"You think you know your own name? How stupid are you?" The doctor adds as Sage rolls her eyes, leaning against the console as she watches on.

"Mum, don't! Don't go anywhere. Don't start a fight!" Rose shouts after her mum as she follows her out of the TARDIS. "Mum, it's not like that. He's not. I'll be up in a minute. Hold on!" She hears the blonde shout before she comes back in and walks straight to the Doctor, ignoring her boyfriend. "That was a real spaceship." She questions as the Doctor confirms.

"Yep."

"So it's all a pack of lies? What is it, then? Are they invading?" Rose wonders as Sage thinks the same question herself.

"Funny way to invade, putting the world on red alert." Mickey adds as he looks around the TARDIS console room.

"Good point! So, what're they up to?" The Doctor wonders to himself before messing with the TARDIS controls as the others all watch him in curiosity.

"So, what're you doing down there?" Mickey questions after a few minutes of silence and frantic tapping by the Doctor on a keyboard on the console.

"Ricky." The doctor sighs as Micky corrects him. "Ricky. If I was to tell you what I was doing to the controls of my frankly magnificent time ship, would you even begin to understand?" The Doctor adds with that sense of superiority Sage kept sensing from him as she watches him in amusement, knowing that even a Time Lord could be easily compelled by her kind.

"I suppose not." Mickey admits sheepishly.

"Well, shut it, then."

"Some friend you've got." Mickey scoffs as he turns to Rose.

"He's winding you up. I am sorry." Rose admits as she turns into Mickey. Sage noticed she was staring at the Doctor the whole time and she wouldn't be surprised if the girl was trying to make the alien jealous.

"Okay." Mickey said, noticing her eyes didn't meet his.

"I am, though." She tells him, as she turns her gaze from the alien to her human boyfriend.

Sage zones the conversation out, not in the mood for the confused situation which was Rose Tyler's love life. She watches the Doctor as he messes with the controls and seems to be calculating something on the monitor. "Got it! Ha, ha! Patched in the radar, looped it back twelve hours so we can follow the flight of that spaceship. Here we go. Hold on. Come on." The Doctor talks to himself as he watches a trajectory appear on the screen. "That's the spaceship on its way to Earth, see? Except. Hold on. See? The spaceship did a sling shot round the Earth before it landed."

"What does that mean?" Rose asks as Sage chimes in.

"It means it came from Earth in the first place, right?" She adds as the Doctor smiles proudly at her.

"Sage is right. It went up and came back down. Whoever those aliens are, they haven't just arrived, they've been here for a while. The question is, what have they been doing?" He trails off as he thinks to himself.

Not long after, the Doctor is sat in the chairs with Sage as he throws his ideas at her and she just nods in amusement at the mans thought process. "Just why have they faked a landing? What could anyone get out of that?"

"I don't know but I'm sure you'll figure it out doc." Sage adds laughing as Mickey chimes in.

"How many channels do you get?" He questions from the monitor where he and Rose are channel hopping.

"All the basic packages." He adds as him and Sage turn to the two.

"You get sports channels?" Mickey wonders as Sage turns to the conversation fully, interested in the answer.

"Yes, I get the football."

"Thank god. I can't miss more games." Sage mentions, jumping up to see the screen.

"You like football?" Rose questions, looking at the girl strangely.

"Yeah, I'm a big Liverpool fan." Sage adds as Mickey scoffs.

"Ahhhh, you're a glory supporter." He smirks at the girl as she rolls her eyes.

"And your team is?" She questions as she laughs.

"West Ham, ever since I was a kid." He admits proudly as Sage scoffs.

"Ah, I'd call you a glory supporter but when was the last time you won a trophy again?" Sage mocked as Mickey laughed, the two about to start a whole in-depth football conversation before Rose cuts in.

"Uh, can we not talk about football? There's so many more things right now that are better than talking about the latest score." Rose scoffs as Mickey rolls his eyes and Sage ignores the blondes remark as the Doctor exclaims.

"Hold on, I know that lot."

On the monitor, a woman reporter is watching the houses of parliament as an entourage arrives, surrounded by soldiers. "It is looking likely that the Government's bringing in alien specialists - those people who have devoted their lives to studying outer space."

"UNIT. United Nations Intelligence Taskforce. Good people." The Doctor adds as he leans in closer to the screen, pushing Mickey out of the way.

"How do you know them?" Rose wonders as she stares at the Doctor outwardly.

"'Cos he's worked for them." Mickey stated as the three turn to him in confusion. "Oh yeah, don't think I sat on my backside for twelve months, Doctor. I read up on you. You look deep enough on the Internet or in the history books, and there's his name, followed by a list of the dead." He accuses as Rose ignores the last sentence but Sage wonders just how long the Doctors list of dead was. It was obvious that while Sage was 100%, no doubt, a cold blooded killer, but to her, the Doctor didn't seem the type to just get his hands bloody. She already had seen his almost ruthless side. The way he left Cassandra to die and didn't think twice about Jabes sacrifice told Sage a lot about the man who usually seemed so pacifistic yet had a dark side hidden deep in the depths of his consciousness.

"That's nice. Good boy, Ricky." He threw it off, not thinking about the humans words much.

"If you know them, why don't you go and help?" Rose questioned.

"They wouldn't recognise me. I've changed a lot since the old days. Besides, the world's on a knife-edge. There's aliens out there and fake aliens. We want to keep this alien out of the mix. I'm going undercover. And er, I'd better keep the Tardis out of sight. Ricky, you've got a car. You can do some driving." The Doctor says as he turns to walk out of the TARDIS.

"Where to?" Mickey wonders as he and Sage trail after Rose and the Doctor.

"The roads are clearing. Let's go and have a look at that spaceship." The Doctor says as he lets Mickey lead them to where his car is parked but just as they walk out of the TARDIS, a giant helicopter spotlight is above them, and they all squint at the bright light.

"Do not move! Step away from the box and raise your hands above your heads." The police shout from around them, surrounding the group of 4. Sage is calm as she watches Mickey run, admiring the strong survival instincts on the boy even if Rose thought he was a coward. She watches as he hides behind some bins as soldiers run past him and she hears Jackie Tyler screaming her daughters name as soldiers grab the woman.

"Raise your hands above your head. You are under arrest." The police shout over a loud speaker as Rose grabs the Doctors hand as she stares at her mum struggling and Sage laughs at the scene around them.

"Take me to your leader." The Doctor grins before turning to Sage. "I've always wanted to say that."

The three are led to a police car as Sage watches them all closely and the three are seated in the back as they are escorted to Downing Street.

"This is a bit posh. If I knew it was going to be like this, being arrested, I would have done it years ago." Rose adds as she watches the police escort around them. The three are a little close for comfort in the back, the Doctor in the middle of the two girls. Sage laughs at the bottle of hormones she can smell in the car. Serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin all waft off the young 19 year old in waves as Sage rolls her eyes at the puberty fuelled pheromones and she eyes her sliding up closer to the Doctor. Just as much, she notices the doctors thigh twitching where it touched her own in the small backseat and she laughed at the situation she found herself in.

"We're not being arrested, we're being escorted." The Doctor mentions, unaware of the schemes going through Rose's head. Sage laughed at the relationship between the two.

"Where to?"

"Where'd you think? Downing Street." The Doctor added as the blonde quickly turned her head to him.

"You're kidding." Sage was confused at why Rose thought this was so surprising considering the whole situation but said nothing to the human.

"I'm not."

"10 Downing Street?" She questioned again as the female vampire rolled her eyes.

"That's the one."

"Oh, my God. I'm going to 10 Downing Street? How come?" She questioned as Sage lost her patience with the girl.

"Isn't it obvious? They're bringing the Doctor in as an alien expert." Sage added, turning disbelievingly at the blonde. "They're bringing the biggest expert in."

"And that is?" Rose asked Sage as the Doctor smirked at the girls short patience.

"Who the fuck do you think?" Sage exclaimed, shaking her curls all over at the blondes naivety. "Obviously, it's this idiot. Was that not clear?" Sage didn't care if the girl was beginning to get offended. She'd be dead soon anyway and Sage's hunger for their blood was growing more and more every day. "Now, stop asking stupid questions blondie."

"Now, now girls." The Doctor started. "Let's all relax and just enjoy the ride."

The car was silent as they arrived at Number 10 and Sage quickly made her way out of the car, keeping her head down from the cameras as she hid behind the soldiers. If Mikael the destroyer was claiming she was dead, she definitely didn't want her face all over tv. She pulls the doctor in from where he's stupidly posing for the cameras and the three walk into the waiting room as the doors shut behind them.

The three watch the crowd around them as Rose looks on in awe and Sage was hit by a strange scent she was unsure about. "Here's your ID card." A young man who introduces himself as Ganesh hands a card to the Doctor. "I'm sorry, your companions don't have clearance." He says as Sage rolls her eyes and Rose turns in annoyance.

"I don't go anywhere without them." The Doctor tries to convince him but Ganesh holds out.

"You're the code nine, not them." He adds, "I'm sorry, Doctor. It is the Doctor, isn't it? They'll both have to stay outside."

"They're staying with me." He tells Ganesh, confident he can manage to sneak them in.

"Look, even I don't have clearance to go in there. I can't let them in and that's a fact." He tells the Doctor as Sage chimes in.

"It's fine. You go ahead, we'll keep ourselves busy." Sage assures the Time Lord but he looks reluctant to leave the girls alone.

"Excuse me. Are you the Doctor?" A woman comes up behind them, looking directly at the alien.

"Sure." The Doctor smiles as Ganesh shakes his head at the older woman.

"Not now. We're busy. Can't you go home?" He sighs as Sage watches the man who's clearly extremely stressed.

"I just need a word in private." The woman demands as the Doctor is about to say something but at the strict look from Ganesh, he turns to the two girls.

"Don't get in any trouble." He looks the two in the eyes but keeps his gaze on Sage a few seconds longer, noticed by both the girls, the older woman and Ganesh and Sage smirks inwardly at the closed fists from Rose's jealously.

"You haven't got clearance. Now leave it." Ganesh tells the woman before turning to the two companions. "I'm going to have to leave you both with security."

"It's all right. I'll look after them. Let me be of some use." The older woman mentions as Ganesh rolls his eyes before walking away from the trio. "Right, walk with me. Just keep walking." The woman says as Rose and Sage look at each other in confusion before trailing after the woman. They make their way into an entrance corridor as the woman introduces herself. "That's right. Don't look round. Harriet Jones, MP Flydale North." She turns to the two girls. "This friend of yours, he's an expert, is that right? He knows about aliens?"

"What does it matter to you?" Sage asks as she watches the woman as her pulse races and she sees the sweat on her brow. Harriet begins crying as Sage looks on uncomfortably and Rose goes to comfort the woman.

"They turned the body into a suit. A disguise for the thing inside!" Harriet whisper shouts as Rose speaks to her.

"It's all right. I believe you. It's, it's alien. They must have some serious technology behind this. If we could find it, we could use it." Rose speaks as she watches the woman closely, thinking what would the doctor do. Sage eyes a cupboard to her left and her nose twitches at the scent of dead human coming from within. Harriet follows her gaze as Rose begins searching the cupboards and Sage doesn't move a muscle even as Rose comes to that very cupboard and opens it up. "Oh, my God! Is that the…" Rose trails off and Harriet turns to see the body fall out just as Ganesh walks in behind them.

"Harriet, for God's sake. This has gone beyond a joke. You cannot just wander. Oh, my God. That's the Prime Minister!" He shouts just as a woman follows him in.

Sage turns to the strange smell behind her and knows that whatever is inside the human suit isn't human. "Oh! Has someone been naughty?"

"That's impossible. He left this afternoon. The Prime Minister left Downing Street. He was driven away!" Ganesh shouts as he moves away from the body and Sage watches the woman closely.

"And who told you that, hmm? Me." The woman reaches to her hairline as everyone gathers behind Sage, Harriet wondering why the girl wasn't scared at whatever was happening. Blue light fills the room, coming from the split in the hairline of the human suit as the skin falls, leaving an alien nearly 8 ft tall, green with three long fingers and large black eyes in the middle of the room.

"We are the Slitheen." The green alien says as it moves forward and goes to grab Sage but as the vampire is about to attack, a surge of electricity flows through its body from the black collar fixed to its neck.

"Go, get out of here." Sage shouts as she pushes the humans out of the room, "Run!" She shouts as Rose and Ganesh move and Harriet watches her as she slowly walks out of the room. "Harriet, go. What are you waiting for?" Sage wonders, keeping an eye on the alien as she moves out of view slowly, grabbing the older womans arm and following Rose and Ganesh.

"How did you know the body was in there?" Harriet demands as Sage rolls her eyes.

"What do you mean?" She questions as she pulls her along, following the scent of Rose.

"You knew something was in the cupboard, I saw it on your face, and you knew that Margaret wasn't human. How?" Harriet demands. Sage hears the Slitheen as it comes to and starts running after them.

She captures Harriets eyes as she compells her, "Forget it, you saw nothing from me. You have no suspicions about me." The woman forgets whatever thoughts were filling her head as she screams and runs after Rose, Sage rolling her eyes and whispering to herself as she followed. "Fucking humans."

"No, wait. They're still in there. The emergency protocols. We need them." Harriet demands as she catches up to the other two just as the Slitheen starts smashing through the large oak wooden doors. The group of four run as the Slitheen chases them, and Sage watches it closely with a predatory gaze as she works out how to deal with the creature. Seems the first alien blood she tastes won't be Time Lord after all.

She hears the chime of a lift opening on the same floor and as the group of four are sneaking around the first floor, she hears the doctor before she catches his eye as he distracts the Slitheen. "Hello!" He waves as he distracts the creature just as the group sneak past and Sage misses the worried glances coming from the time lord sent her way.

They run into a room filled with a large settee, drinks cabinet and a folding screen by the window to keep out the draughts which leads to a series of other rooms. "We need to hide." Rose says as Sage calmly walks to the drinks cabinet and grabs herself a bottle of bourbon. "Sage, now is not the time to get drunk." Rose exclaims at the girl as Sage laughs.

"You three need to go that way, I'll distract the alien." Sage says as she pours a glass of amber, the liquid warming her hand as she takes a seat on the settee. "It's getting closer, go."

"What? Don't be stupid, dear. It'll kill you." Harriet worried as Rose began to scoff.

"You aren't the Doctor, Sage. You can't save us here, you can't do anything. You're useless." Rose announced as Sage laughed.

"It's getting closer, now go." Sage demands, glaring at Rose before the blonde gives in and runs from the girl, the two following her but Harriet watching her sadly as they all assume her death is now impending.

Sage makes herself comfy as she leans against the settee and casually sips the bourbon as she enjoys the rush of heat down her throat. She hears as the Slitheen stops just outside of the room and ignores the door slowly opening as three long claws curl around the edge of the door. "Oh, such fun. Little human children, where are you? Sweet little humeykins, come to me. Let me kiss you better. Kiss you with my big, green lips." She says as she walks into the room only to stop in her tracks at the sight of Sage sat calmly in front of her.

"Hi there." Sage says as she stands up to move closer to the drinks cabinet. "Drink?" She offers as she pours herself another glass of bourbon.

"You're not scared of me." The alien wonders as she shuts the door behind her and inches her way forward. "There's no smell of fear on you."

"Oh, I'm never the one that should be scared." Sage laughs as she takes a drink.

"What are you?" The Slitheen questions as Sage faces her, and shows her vampiric face as her fangs descend.

"I'm what you should be scared of." She grins wickedly. "What do you want with the Earth?" She wonders as she watches the alien.

"Why do you care?"

"Humans are my main prey source, I'm partial to keeping the species going." Sage admits, "What's your name?"

"Why do you want my name?" The slitheen wonders as it comes to within a few feet of her.

"It's polite, dear." Sage says as she looks on expectantly. "Name. Now."

" Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen. From Raxacoricofallapatorius." The alien now known as Blon says. "And your name?"

"Sage Evans."

"Where are your friends, Sage?"

"Running in delicious fear." Sage smirks. "I'm hoping to eat one of them later. Blood always tastes so much better when they run."

"You feed off humans?" Blon wonders.

"Their blood, yes."

"What do you want?" The Slitheen asks, "Why not just leave?"

"I want the doctor alive. The balding man with big ears and an oversized leather jacket." Sage admits. "He's mine."

"Romantically?" Blon wonders as Sage laughs evilly.

"He wishes." She purrs, "His blood smells delectable, better than any blood I've ever smelt. But, I'm playing the waiting game. I'm bored and honestly, I like to play with my food."

"So, you want us to leave him alive."

"Honestly, the mans got the best luck on his side, he'll most likely be okay on his own. I want you to create a diversion. I'll lead you to the other two Slitheen in the building and you will 'attack' so that man, Indra, is on his own and I can feed. Oh… and I won't kill you." Sage states as Blon laughs as she begins to prowl towards Sage.

"Kill me? You have this all wrong. I'm the one in charge here." Blon says as she stares at Sage only to be confused as the woman disappears from her sight.

Suddenly, she's thrown across the room and falls through the walls into the next room and is looking upwards in a daze from her position on the floor as she watches Sage calmly step threw the hole in the wall and peer down towards her. "Let's get this straight. I could easily kill you and the other two but I won't, because at my age I get bored very easily and this… this is interesting. So, you're gonna play my game." Sage looks into her black eyes as she smirks. "Raise your left arm."

The Slitheen follows the instruction and is in shock at the ready movement of her arm, as Sage laughs. "So, it isn't just the Doctor I can compel… Get up."

Blon gets up as she vocally protests. "How are you doing this?"

"Apex predator baby… Now, hunt them down, grab the man and bring him to me…" Blon turns away as she follows the scent and Sage follows closely behind as she grins, and keeps her eyes and fangs on show.

She follows silently as the Slitheen follows the scent like a bloodhound hunting for a shot bird. She hears the three hiding in a room and waits in the shadows as Blon Slitheen walks in and follows the scent straight to Indra, only for him to scream as she grabs him and 'attacks' him, forcing Rose and Harriet to run off again. Indra is screaming as Blon walks out with him in her grip and Sage claps as she comes out of the shadows, human face on show again.

"Indra… there you are." She claps as Blon brings her to him and Indra is stuck in her tight grip as he's slowly left standing a foot away from Sage.

"Sage! You're alive… How?" He looks back to the alien behind him. "What's going on?"

"This isn't personal… you're just collateral." Sage looks towards the Slitheen, "Carry on with what you were doing, and mention this to no-one."

"Impressive." The Slitheen whispers before turning to follow her brothers scent.

"Now Indra." Sage smirks, "This will hurt, and please… do scream." Her fangs descend as Indra, in fear, turns to run only to feel his jugular be torn out as Sage savagely tears his neck apart, drowning in the blood needed to withstand the smell of the time lords own blood. She devours the blood as it flows down her throat until not a drop is left and drops the body as she stands, smirking at the blood covering her all over. "Huh, two kills in one day… been a while since that happened." She looks at the blood covering her. "For fucks sake… I need to change." The vampire rolls her eyes as she leaves in search of new clothes and happily finds a box of uniforms in a random closet to replace her blood stained shirt, her black jeans and jacket would be fine as they were. After changing her shirt, Sage listens out for Rose and Harriet and begins to make her way there as she hears the Slitheen enter the room and just smells the Doctor coming in from behind them.

Sage overhears the conversation as she hangs around. "Out, with me!" The Doctor shouts as the three run out. "Who the hell are you?"

"Harriet Jones, MP for Flydale North." She hears Harriet announce before the Doctor in a panicked voice cuts in.

"Wheres… Wheres Sage?" He asks as the two woman struggle to find their words. "Sage… where is she?" Sage slows down as she hears the emotion in his voice, shocked at how much the man seemed to care for her already… it was something she herself couldn't relate to. "Rose… WHERE IS SHE?"

"She… she tried to distract them, to get us away." Rose whispered.

"She saved us Doctor. She gave her life for us to live." Harriet admitted as the Doctor denied them. Sage chuckled lowly at the thought of her supposed sacrifice. Imagine if they knew the real story.

"Let's go." The Doctor whispered. "They'll catch up." The three run off again, the smell of their sadness making it all the way to Sage and the Slitheen both who locked onto the strong scent. "We need to head to the Cabinet Room."

"The Emergency Protocols are in there. They give instructions for aliens." Harriet announces as Sage hears the Doctor quietly admit.

"Harriet Jones, I like you."

"And I like you too." The Slitheen chase the three through the rooms and Sage decides to meet them at the cabinet room as she walks in to see a decanter on a side table.

"So much alcohol here." Sage grins as she grabs the bottle and takes a swig just as the trio come crashing through the doors.

The Doctor grabs a bottle left closer to the door as the trio fail to notice Sage where she nurses another expensive bottle of bourbon. "One more move and my sonic device will triplicate the flammability of this alcohol. Whoof, we all go up. So back off." Sage watches as the Slitheen take a step back into the outer office. "Right then. Question time. Who exactly are the Slitheen?"

"They're aliens." Harriet announces as the time lord rolls his eyes.

"Yes. I got that, thanks." He adds sarcastically.

"Who are you, if not human?" One of the male slitheen ask as Harriet questions it.

"Who's not human?" Sage raises a hand from her seat behind them and Blon just catches her eyes through the gap in the door, smiling at the strange turn of events that was Sage Evans.

"He's not human." Rose tells the politician as she scoffs.

"He's not human?"

"Can I have a bit of hush?" The time lord demands. "So, what's the plan?"

"But he's got a Northern accent." Harriet whispers to Rose as she answers, "Lots of planets have a north."

"I said hush. Come on. You've got a spaceship hidden in the North Sea. It's transmitting a signal. You've murdered your way to the top of government. What for, invasion?" The Doctor angrily demands again.

"Why would we invade this God-forsaken rock?"

"Then something's brought the Slitheen race here. What is it?"

"The Slitheen race?" One of the three question as the other male answers.

"Slitheen is not our species. Slitheen is our surname. Jocrassa Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day-Slitheen at your service."

"So, you're family." The Time Lord asks as they speak.

"A family business."

"Then you're out to make a profit. How can you do that on a God-forsaken rock?" The Doctor asks again as one of the two males questions his earlier statement.

"Ah, excuse me? Your device will do what? Triplicate the flammability?" He wonders disbelievingly, catching onto the obvious lie by the time lord. Just how the Slitheen couldn't smell the lie, Sage didn't understand.

"Is that what I said?"

"You're making it up." The slitheen accuses as the Doctor throws the bottle towards Harriet.

"Ah, well! Nice try. Harriet, have a drink. I think you're gonna need it." Harriet clutches the red box as she signals to pass it to the left, and he does, only to turn and meet Sages amused gaze, currently holding a bottle herself.

"Oh, I'l have the two." She goes to grab the bottle as the Slitheen look at her strangely. "See you boys later." She waves at the green creatures as she lifts a small panel by the door, pressing a button as the Doctor is dumbstruck at her presence. Metal shutters crash shut across the windows and doors as the two woman flinch. "I'll allow you to do the history lesson, shall I?"

"Right… Fascinating history, Downing Street. Two thousand years ago, this was marsh land. 1730, it was occupied by a Mister Chicken. He was a nice man. 1796, this was the Cabinet Room. If the Cabinet's in session and in danger, these are about the four most safest walls in the whole of Great Britain. Installed in 1991. Three inches of steel lining every single wall. They'll never get in. End of lesson." He turns to Sage as he laughs. "I thought you were…" He can't bring himself to finish the word as she laughs.

"Dead?" She waves him off as she swigs the bottle she just picked up and hands it to the left, Rose taking it as her jaw is dropped open at the revelation that Sage was alive and not dead like they all thought. Rose pulled the girl into her quickly at the thought and laughed tears of happiness at her being there. "I found Indra. He was dead when I got there…" she said to Harriet as the woman shook her head before pulling her in too.

Sage finally turned back towards the Doctor after what felt like an eternity for him and he pulled her into the tightest hug he'd ever given at the fear that had consumed him when she wasn't there. "Never do that again."

"You don't want me to not die again?" Sage asks, "Fine, I'll go kill myself now."

"WHAT?" The Doctor exclaimed. "No, I don't… I uh…"

Sage laughs as she pulls him into another hug, barely maintaining her human face as her nose pressed against his neck. "I know what you meant Doc."

"Nice to see you Sage but… if we're trapped in, how do we get out?" Rose questions as she puts the bottle down, not drinking it like Sage had.

"Ah." The doctor drags out as Sage just shrugs casually, not at all threatened by their entrapment. "Right, what have we got? Any terminals, anything?" He wonders as he looks around the room rapidly with his gaze continuously flitting back to Sage.

"No. This place is antique. What I don't get is, when they killed the Prime Minister, why didn't they use him as a disguise?" Rose asked as she sidled up to his side.

"He's too slim. They're big old beasts. They need to fit inside big humans." The Time Lord said as Sage jumped onto the desk and watched the three work it all out.

"But the Slitheen are about eight feet. How do they fit inside?" The blonde asked as she trailed after him.

"That's the device around their necks. Compression field. Literally shrinks them down a bit. That's why there's all that gas. It's a big exchange." The Time Lord says as he silently takes the alcohol away from Sage. The thought had begun to cross Rose's mind that the girl may have a drinking problem because she was always drinking alcohol whenever in its presence. Sage made a sound of protest which the alien just ignored but as he turned to speak to Rose, she snuck a flask out of her jacket and made sure to keep it out of the time lords sight.

"Wish I had a compression field. I could fit a size smaller." The blonde quipped, rushing to his side once more.

"Excuse me, people are dead! This is not the time for making jokes." Harriet scolded as the blonde rolled her eyes as if she wasn't affected by the deaths.

"Sorry. You get used to this stuff when you're friends with him." Sage laughed at her reply quietly as she saw the daggers sent Rose's way by the politician.

"Well, that's a strange friendship."

"Harriet Jones. I've heard that name before. Harriet Jones. You're not famous for anything, are you?" The doctor wondered as Sage thought the name was familiar herself but she couldn't work out where from.

"Oh, hardly."

"Rings a bell. Harriet Jones?" The Time Lord continued to inquire as the woman shrugged it off.

"Lifelong backbencher I'm afraid, and a fat lot of use I'm being now. The Protocols are redundant. They list the people who could help and they're all dead downstairs."

"Hasn't it got, like, defence codes and things? Couldn't we just launch a nuclear bomb at them?" Rose asked as Sage laughed.

"You're a very violent young woman." Harriet said as Sage begun to laugh aloud this time, thinking they'd be shocked if they saw just how violent she could be.

"I'm serious. We could."

"Well, there's nothing like that in here. Nuclear strikes do need a release code, yes, but it's kept secret by the United Nations."

"Say that again." The Doctor cut in, looking hard at the politician as Sage finally worked out where she knew the name from. A future prime minister of Great Britain. All she remembered was the PM that came after her though… what was his name, she thought to herself before deciding it wasn't important.

Sage zoned out as she approached the door and as the others were distracted, she tuned her sensitive hearing into the slitheen conversations before realising she didn't particularly care what was happening. Her thoughts were cut short as a phone rang in the silence of the cabinet room. "Oh, that's me." The blonde admitted before grabbing the call. "It's Mickey."

"Oh, tell your stupid boyfriend we're busy." The Doctor ignores the call as Rose looks down, wide-eyed at the screen.

"Yeah, he's not so stupid after all." She shows them all a photo of the Slitheen at the flat and she picks up the call as it rings again, Sage now moving to her two companions side again.

"No, no, no, no, no. Not just alien, but like, proper alien. All stinking, and wet, and disgusting. And more to the point, it wanted to kill us!" She heard Mickey exclaim on the phone just as Jackie Tyler screamed, "I could've died!", down the line.

"Is she all right, though? Don't put her on, just tell me." Rose questions just as the Doctor snatches the phone off her.

"Is that Ricky? Don't talk, just shut up and go to your computer." He demands as Sage can hear Mickey down the line arguing back.

"It's Mickey, and why should I?"

"Mickey the Idiot, I might just choke before I finish this sentence, but, er, I need you." The alien squeaks out as the vampire laughs at his lack of trust in the human.

Sage hears the tapping of keys as he proceeds to hack into the UNIT website and asks for a password from the Doctor. " So, what's that website?" Jackie asks from the other side and Mickey quickly answers the woman.

"All the secret information known to mankind. See, they've known about aliens for years. They just kept us in the dark." He admits as the Doctor scoffs.

"Mickey, you were born in the dark." The Time Lord quips as Rose scolds him. Sage thought about how UNIT knew about aliens this whole time… that maybe they'd also know about her and other supernatural creatures. She'd have to enlist Mickeys help to hack into UNIT again another time, make sure they were still in the dark about vampires and the sort. "Big Ben - why did the Slitheen go and hit Big Ben?"

"You said to gather the experts, to kill them." Harriet answered as the man shook his head.

"That lot would've gathered for a weather balloon. You don't need to crash land in the middle of London." He admitted.

"The Slitheen are hiding, but then they put the entire planet on Red alert. What would they do that for?" Rose added on, essentially repeating what the doctor was saying as Sage stayed out of it all for now.

"Oh, listen to her." The girls mother snarked from the phone.

"At least I'm trying." Rose sighed out as she stared at the phone as if she could shut her mother up from the other side.

"Well, I've got a question, if you don't mind. Since that man walked into our lives, I have been attacked In the streets. I have had creatures from the pits of hell in my own living room," Sage smirked at the thought, Jackie didn't know how right she was on that last part. "and my daughter disappears off the face of the Earth."

"I told you what happened." Rose tells her as her mum carries on.

"I'm talking to him. 'Cos I've seen this life of yours, Doctor. And maybe you get off on it, and maybe you think it's all clever and smart, but you tell me. Just answer me this. Is my daughter safe? Is she safe? Will she always be safe? Can you promise me that? Well, what's the answer?" The room is silent at the words, and Sage almost wants to tell her that her daughter won't live for long but not because of the Doctor… because of her. But she decides to stay out of it, she'll kill the blonde at some point but for now she's having some fun.

"We're in." Mickey cuts through the silence like a knife as everyone starts moving again.

"Now then, on the left at the top, there's a tab, an icon. Little concentric circles. Click on that. The Slitheen have got a spaceship in the North Sea and it's transmitting that signal. Now hush, let me work out what it's saying…." The Doctor asks as Jackie carries on.

"He'll have to answer me one day."

"It's some sort of message." He says as he listens in to the noise.

"Saying what?" Sage wonders as the Doctor looks at her quickly.

"Don't know. It's on a loop, keeps repeating." The doorbell rings from Mickeys flat as the doctor hushes him.

"That's not me. Go and see who that is." Mickey tells Jackie as she huffs out.

"It's three o'clock in the morning." Jackie says as Sage hears her shuffling off, and her supernatural intuition tells her that behind the door isn't a friendly visitor.

"Well, go and tell them that."

"It's beaming out into space, who's it for?" The Doctor questions before hearing Jackie Tylers shouts as Mickey tells them all the Slitheen were there for them. "Mickey, I need that signal."

"Never mind the signal, get out! Mum, just get out! Get out!" Rose screams as Sage rolls her eyes, she always forgot how fragile humans could be… it had been a very long time since she herself had been human. She tunes back into the conversation just as the Doctor hurries to figure the aliens weakness out.

"Right, If we're going to find their weakness, we need to find out where they're from. Which planet. So, judging by their basic shape, that narrows it down to five thousand planets within travelling distance. What else do we know about them? Information!" He demands as Rose is about to speak but Sage cuts in, wanting to speed up the whole thing at that point as she was getting bored of the talking.

"Raxacoricofallapatorius." Sage sighs as the others turn to her.

"What?" Rose and Harriet wonder as the Doctor looks at her in shock.

"How do you know that?" He questions her as he stares at her.

"She told me, while she was chasing me. Likes a monologue that one does." Sage adds, popping a smile on her face and hoping it came across as genuine. The Time lord laughed as Rose just looked on annoyed and Sage just caught the lack of belief on Harriets face before she hid it behind a politicians mask.

"Oh, you're just great you are!" The Doctor announces before turning back to the phone. "Calcium, weakened by the compression field. Acetic acid. Vinegar!" He shouts down the phone as Harriet compares it to Hannibal. "Just like Hannibal. Mickey, have you got any vinegar?"

"How should I know?" Mickey asks as Rose cuts in with the information.

"Anything with vinegar!" The alien states as they hear Jackie list off items; gherkins, pickled onions, pickled eggs. "And you kiss this man?" He questions Rose at the thought and she gets flustered as her eyes flit to the Doctors making the old vampire giggle to herself.

"Hannibal?" The blonde wonders as Sage strolls towards them now.

"He crossed the Alps by dissolving boulders with vinegar." Sage adds as she comes to their side. She watches as Harriet pours them all a glass of port in celebration. "Port? Oh, I guess it'll do." She says as she downs the liquid and the others all look at her skeptically. "What?"

"Have you got a drinking problem?" Rose asks cockily, smirking at the curly haired brunette as her ice blue eyes whip towards her.

"What?" She laughs off. "No, I don't, why?"

"No reason." The blonde utters as Sage rolls her eyes. The Doctor just hears her whispering.

"Can't a girl just enjoy a drink without being harrassed about it…." He laughs at the girl, knowing she wasn't an alcoholic but did in fact, like a drink.

Mickey took the phone to the TV and they all listened to the address by one of the Slitheen, now hidden back in his suit.

"He's making it up. There's no weapons up there, there's no threat. He just invented it." The Doctor says as Harriet asks him if they'll believe it. "That's why the Slitheen went for spectacle. They want the whole world panicking, because you lot, you get scared, you lash out."

"They release the defence codes." Rose adds.

"And the Slitheen go nuclear." The Doctor states as the politician questions him again, he opens the metal shutters, coming face to face with Blon herself as Sage rushes to his side, not that anyone noticed. "You get the codes, release the missiles, but not into space because there's nothing there. You attack every other country on Earth. They retaliate, fight back. World War Three. Whole planet gets nuked."

"And we can sit through it safe in our spaceship waiting in the Thames. Not crashed, just parked. Only two minutes away." She says as Sage looks at her impressed. They'd make good vampires, she thought.

"But you'll destroy the planet, this beautiful place. What for?" Harriet demands.

"Profit. That's what the signal is beaming into space. An advert." The Doctor mutters as he looks on disapprovingly.

"The sale of the century. We reduce the Earth to molten slag, then sell it piece by piece. Radioactive chucks, capable of powering every cut-price star liner and budget cargo ship. There's a recession out there, Doctor. People are buying cheap. This rock becomes raw fuel." Blon tells them as she flexes her fingers, claws clicking against one another.

"At the cost of five billion lives." The Doctor spits at her.

"Bargain."

"I give you a choice. Leave this planet or I'll stop you." He warns her, his hand landing on the button for the shutters but not pressing it yet.

"What, you? Trapped in your box?" She laughs, her 8 ft tall green body shaking at the thought before the Doctor speaks again.

"Yes. Me." He closes the shutters in her face and Sage smells the worry coming off the creature in waves now at the thought. They walk towards the centre of the room in silence and they begin to settle in for the night.

A few hours later…

It's just Sage and the Doctor awake, Harriet and Rose asleep on the chairs as the two sit on the table together. "How did you survive?" The Doctor wonders as he watches the girl closely. "How did you get away from the Slitheen?"

"Pure luck. It wasn't easy…" Sage catches the Doctors eyes. "I'm sorry for worrying you."

"Don't do it again." He smiles at the curly haired brunette as he grabs her hand, "I can't lose you." He whispers, emotions coming off of him in waves as Sage begins to realise this was becoming more than just a simple attraction for him. Internally, she rejoiced at the fact, and began to devise a plan. Sage Evans had a lot of enemies over her long life but, she thought, the Doctor had the one thing that would ensure she was invincible. No witch or hunter would dare get in her way… All she had to do was play along for now.

"You won't." She told him, throwing all the emotion she could into it. "You're stuck with me, Doc."

"Good. I'm glad." He grinned as he pulled her into a hug, and her eyes flashed as she hid her head into his chest, ignoring the blood she could hear calling out to her.

Next morning…

Sage watched from the sidelines as they begin to work out a plan, even though she knew from her chat with the Doctor last night, there was only one real option left for them. "If we could ferment the port, we could make acetic acid." Harriet added as Rose and Mickey complained about being sent to voicemail for all emergency numbers. She watches as the Doctor readies himself to tell them all the plan, knowing Jackie Tyler wouldn't be happy with it.

"There's a way out." He admits, gaze dropping to Sage.

"What?" Rose wonders.

"There's always been a way out." He tells them. "But I can't guarantee your daughter will be safe, Jackie." He tells the older woman on the phone as she shouts at him.

"Don't you dare. Whatever it is, don't you dare." She warns him, her voice showing she was beginning to cry at the thought.

"It's the only option, Jackie. If he doesn't, everyone dies." Sage chimes in, moving to the trio.

"Do it." Rose adamantly demands as the doctor looks at her in shock.

"You don't even know what it is. You'd just let me?" He asks her quietly as Sage watches the determination flow through the blonde as she says Yes.

Jackie Tyler pleads for her daughters life on the call, claiming she was just a kid to the group.

"Do you think I don't know that? Because this is my life, Jackie. It's not fun, it's not smart, it's just standing up and making a decision because nobody else will." The Doctor tells her as Rose tries to force his decision.

"Then what're you waiting for?"

"I could save the world but lose you both." His gaze flits back to Sage, and the vampire and Harriet both hear the low growl coming from Rose as the alien misses it.

"Except it's not your decision, Doctor. It's mine." Harriet demands as Jackie asks her who the hell she was. "Harriet Jones, MP for Flydale North. The only elected representative in this room, chosen by the people for the people. And on behalf of the people, I command you. Do it."

"How do we get out?" The blonde asks as Sage looks at her, hands shaking in fear.

"We don't, we have to stay here." She tells the blonde before compelling her. "Don't worry, you'll be fine." The teenagers body calms immediately out of the others sight. Last thing she wanted was Rose getting emotional, she didn't want to deal with that.

"Use the buffalo password. It overrides everything." The doctor tells Mickey as he grabs the emergency protocols from the red box. "Right, we need to select a missile."

"We can't go nuclear. We don't have the defence codes." Mickey adds on as the time lord assures him they only need an ordinary missile. They begin selecting a missile as Sage looks around. She knew Harriet needed to survive, she had a future as the PM but didn't want to admit what she was, never knowing who was on vervain, especially after the little issue with Miss Toshiko Sato yesterday.

"Mickey the idiot, the world is in your hands." The Doctor says as he tells the boy to fire.

"All right, now I'm making the decision. I'm not going to die. We're going to ride this one out. It's like what they say about earthquakes. You can survive them by standing under a doorframe. Now, this cupboard's small so it's strong. Come and help me. Come on." Rose demands as Harriet helps her and Sage sighs, giving in to the idea, even if she'd be completely fine from such an attack.

"It's on radar." Mickey announces as Sage empties the cupboard, using her speed just a little as the two woman were taking too long. "Counter defence five five six."

"Stop them intercepting it." The Time lord says as he begins to move towards them, unplugging the phone.

"Here we go. Nice knowing you three. Hannibal!" Harriet exclaims just as the four huddle into the cupboard and Sage moves so that her back was to the door of the closet. A large blast sounds through them and the cupboard shakes and rolls through the remains of the building inside the steel shell. The four groan as they tumble until they come to a stop and wait a few minutes before moving to get out. Sage pushes the steel door off and moves as they all step out, stretching her limbs from the small confined space.

"Made in Britain." Harriet utters as a man comes running towards them.

"Oh, my God. Are you all right?" He wonders as he checks them all over.

"Harriet Jones. MP, Flydale North. I want you to contact UN immediately. Tell the ambassadors the crisis is over. They can step down. Go on, tell the news." She demands before he runs off. "Someone's got a hell of a job sorting this lot out. Oh, Lord. We haven't even got a Prime Minister." She worries as Sage laughs the thought away, knowing she'd soon become just that.

"Maybe you should have a go." The Doctor admits, smiling at her as she shakes her head.

"Me? Huh. I'm only a back-bencher."

"I'd vote for you." Rose tells her, smiling softly as Sage just shakes her head.

"Now, don't be silly. Look, I'd better go and see if I can help. Hang on!" The woman begins to walk down the large pile of rubble. "We're safe! The Earth is safe! Sergeant!"

"I thought I knew the name. Harriet Jones, future Prime Minister. Elected for three successive terms. The architect of Britain's Golden Age." The alien tells the two girls as they watch her get involved with the forces, begin to direct others around the place.

"The crisis has passed! Ladies and gentlemen, I have something to say to you all here today! Mankind stands tall, proud and undefeated. God bless the human race."

The three move away, making their way back to the Tyler's flat as quick as possible.

As they reach the flat, Jackie and Mickey run out as they embrace Rose and the Doctor turns to Sage just as her phone begins to ring with Enzo on the caller ID. The vampire walks off before answering the call, knowing he'd be worried once more. "Sage? Oh, god, are you okay? Hell, are you alive?!" He worries, frantically pacing on the other side.

"Enzo, calm down. I'm absolutely fine. Not even a scratch." She reassures the younger vampire as he freaks out.

"I just thought… you know… maybe they could kill you or… I don't know Sage, I was just so worried. We both were." He admits as Sage questions him.

"Both?"

There's a small hustle on the other side before a deep voice joins the line. "You've got a lot of explaining to do Evans." The voice of the one and only Luka Moretti comes on, scolding her. "You have a duty to me and Enzo as our sire to make sure we don't get into any trouble! How do you do that when you're off gallivanting with some alien in a blue box?"

"Luka… I think you'd get into more trouble with me there, don't you think?" She adds on as she hears him humming in thought.

"I know that, but you're our armour. We can't do what we want when you're not here. Not all of us are invincible Original vampires." He tells her as she grins.

"Look, it'll be worth it, trust me." She tells him quietly. "If I can just get what I'm here for, I can deal with Mikael and his kids and you won't have to worry about anything. Hell, we could even deal with the humans. Trust me on this one… It'll be a vampires paradise when I'm done here." She assures him as he turns confused. "I'll explain when I see you next, but I promise, I'll call more okay? And keep me updated, you're in charge now, Luka." She sighs before saying her goodbyes and ending the call, just as the Doctor told her he'd be back in a few hours after he dealt with the Slitheens advert and she assured him she'd be here.

"Your phone, gimme." He says before he walks into the TARDIS and Sage heads over, handing the device to him. He zaps it with a sonic before adding a new battery. "I realised I didn't give your the phone the upgrade Rose has." He added a number into the phone. "That's the TARDIS number. I'll call you on it later if you're not here." He tells her as she nods.

"I'll be here." She reassures as she watches him enter the ship and the blue box dematerialises. Sage smirks then as she disappears from view, rushing over to where she knew Luka and Enzo would be.

A dark bar in the center of London, hidden out of view by a witches spell, she saw the old bar that had sat in London since the 1670's as she entered the room, hearing the younger witches and vampires stay silent as they watched the Original walk through to a table at the top of the room, elevated from the rest, which had two young men and a ginger woman sat around it.

She grinned as their eyes automatically met hers and she waved at them as they all stood. "Turns out I have a few hours to spare." She smirked. Her head turned to the bartender. "Some A positive please mate." She takes her seat in between them, Enzo quickly hugging her tightly before she slides in to the booth. "Prosecco? Are we celebrating?" She asks the group as the woman laughs, her long ginger locks bouncing in the air.

"You survived a missile attack on Downing Street, I think it warrants a celebration, don't you?" The ginger says as she pops open the bottle, pouring them all a glass.

"It took forever too… They all like to talk too much… but good news, we can compel aliens from the planet Raxacoricofallapatorius!" Sage cheered as she took the glass.

"Can't imagine that'll be something we come across often…" The ginger admitted as she sat next to the curly haired brunette.

"Maria, I never thought I'd travel in an alien-ship but I have…" Sage laughed with the girl, glad she was here to help her deal with the two idiots that were Enzo and Luka.

"What exactly is the situation with this Doctor guy then?" Luka wondered as she laughed.

"He's a strange one, but he's beginning to fall for me, I can smell it. I just need him to teach me how to fly the TARDIS, then I can get rid of him. Or compel him to do it… I haven't decided yet but I wouldn't trust him enough to keep him alive…" Sage admitted before changing conversation. "But anyway, the best thing is the other girl, Rose, she's falling for him. I mean, god knows why… he's not the most attractive fella out there."

"When are you going to kill her?" Enzo asked as their blood arrived, pitchers of A negative arriving at the table.

"Not yet. But I need you to do something for me. Her boyfriend, Mickey Smith. Compel him to hack into UNIT for me." Sage tells them as she pours the blood into the leftover Prosecco in her glass.

"UNIT? Isn't that the army thing?" Luka wonders as she nods.

"Yeah, they know a lot about aliens and the Doctor, I wanna know what they know about us, if they even do." Sage admits. "I don't know where he lives but Rose's mum is at the Powell Estate, she'll know."

"Is that it?" Luka asks as the original nods.

"For now…" she says as she watches the crowd in the packed bar. "I'll let you know anything else."

"What about Mikael?" Luka questions as Enzo growls.

"Uh, that prick. Why he wants you dead, I do not know… The original witch didn't turn you." Enzo complains dramatically, throwing his hands into the air.

"He just wants all Originals dead, his kids or not." Sage sighs. "I'm sick of Mikaelson drama and I'm not even friends with any of them!"

"uh… Kol?" Maria adds as Sage rolls her eyes.

"He doesn't count, he's not friends with them either." Sage states. "Anyway, enough talk of this. Let's just drink huh? I need to gorge myself before I get back to the Doctor, otherwise the menu is gonna be Time Lord with blonde human as a dessert."

A few hours later…

Sage, satisfied and full on blood, walks towards the Powell Estate casually as she catches sight of the blue box and the group outside it. Mickey and Rose kiss goodbye as she reaches them and just hears Jackie beginning to talk to them. "You still can't promise me. What if she gets lost? What if something happens to you, Doctor, and she's left all alone standing on some moon a million light years away. How long do I wait then?" Jackie asks as Rose laughs.

"Mum, you're forgetting. It's a time machine. I could go travelling around suns and planets and all the way out to the edge of the universe, and by the time I get back, yeah, ten seconds would have passed. Just ten seconds. So stop worrying. See you in ten seconds' time, yeah?" The mother and daughter pair hug, and pull away just as Rose sees Sage. "Where've you been? We had a plate for you?" Rose wonders as Sage grins.

"Thanks but I had to see some friends before we left again." Jackie looks at Sages person with focus.

"You sure you don't need a bag dear? Extra clothes. You have nothing with you?" Jackie questions as Sage waves her off.

"I'm okay Jackie, the TARDIS provides everything for us anyway."

"What? So, you're packing house for what?" The woman turns to her daughter in anger, Rose just watching her sheepishly.

The Doctor grins as he turns to Sage, "Have fun?"

"Loads." She smiles before saying her goodbyes and the trio enters the ship, Mickey and Jackie staying behind as they watch the box dematerialise. Rose immediately jumps to the Doctors side as they decide on their next trip. Sage stands back as she feels the TARDIS once again on her mind, tendrils slowly reaching out to her shielded mind. She says nothing as she attacks a tendril as it gets too close and issues a warning to the ship.

She's aware of the ships sentience, and guessed she knew what she was. But Sage watched closely as she noticed the TARDIS gentleness with her… She shook off the thoughts of the ship as she joined in, almost excited for their next trip.
