The First Pokemon Choice

Summary : Feeling different than their kind. Two pokemon seek out help. But doing so, will the help change their life forever. But also turn them into different Pokémon where their no longer part of mother Mew's creations. But another.

Pokemon is owned by its creators, not me. I just own this story. That said this story will be within the pokemon universe, yet it will be my AU, meaning it wont be the same path as the current pokemon show is going. That means no unnecessary flames from pokemon fan nuts who wants me doing my story like the show (or manga). Cause that's not happening. After all this story (and others link to it) is for my enjoyment. If you hate it, than just don't read it.

Moving on, this story is link to my unfinished story 'I'll be Here Waiting' as well others in the work as prequels. That leads to a bigger story i'm working on, called 'Aurora'.

Now that's all said. A couple more things and i'll be done.

Italic : thoughts.

Bold/Italic : prophecy.

Bold: god Pokemon speaking

Prolong

Arceus and his wife were given a present from their first born, Time, Space and Nothingness. The trio known later as 'the creation dragon trio; Dialga, Palkia and Girathina.

The present was their creation together. A round dark and brown world, later known as earth. Eager to explore her children's creation. Arceus allowed his wife to explore it. But soon after, once entering the world, she discovers soon how empty it was; There was no life.

Feeling sad for the world. Arceus's wife decided to place hers and Arceus's next set of children within the world. Having 6 colorless eggs. Arceus's wife place two in the sky, another two in the hard ground and two more in the only soft land (sand). Appearing from the eggs were a yellow bird, a flying green serpent-dragon from the sky. A blue bird, a blue/red swimming fish-whale from the soft land. While a red bird, a red beast-dragon came from the hard ground.

Thereafter, thanks to her children hatched from the sky, rain fell upon the land in the world, and with the ones hatched from the soft land. Lakes, streams, etc. Were created. And with water touching land for the first time. The first tree sprouted from this, which later will be known as 'the Beginning Tree'. After this happen, Arceus ordered his wife to come back to their realm. Which she did.

But like she decided. She came back to place her next children in the world. This time however, she had 30 colorless eggs that she placed all over the world to hatch. It was once her last three eggs hatching revealing a silver giant swimmer/flying sea dragon, a bird with a colorfully tail and a kid-size pink-like mouse. That the Beginning Tree had started sending its many roots, underground, throughout the world. Planting its seeds, which more trees came from them, until the world was covered by several trees and green was covering lands all over.

Soon after, the tree asked Arceus's wife to help it created creatures like her children just birth from the world and not from her realm. She agreed by planting one of her colorful beads -which was a rainbow one- around her necklace, into the tree. Which soon later gave birth to several first non-element creatures (animals). Eventually with the several non-element creatures, producing afterword's, they covered the world from lands, waters, even the skies.

Although Arceus's wife's children were fine with new addition to the world; mostly when most of them respected them enough to keep away from the element creatures' territories. However, the same couldn't be said for the last element creature born from Arceus's wife. The creature, its mother title, simply Pinky. She was upset of the non-creatures roaming the world and there were many of them, compared to the one-of-a-kind of her and her 35 siblings. So, once befriending the Beginning Tree, she took a few seeds from the tree and using her psychic ability created the first many element-creatures. But though hers and the Beginning Tree's children had elements it wasn't at the same level hers and her siblings have. But she was happy, cause eventually, there were more element creatures taken up the world than the non-element ones.

Frustrated with what her youngest did. Arceus's wife decided to give another bead -colorless one- to the tree, but added a little of her life energy, forming into a crystal-color stone. Creating beings known as humans. But the humans spouted out from the Beginning Tree's many first tree-children. Except for a small tribe that was birth from the Beginning Tree, where they not only made home around the tree. But also, the only humans knowing and respecting Arceus's wife. Titling her the simple name; Mother of all creation or just Mother Nature.

Time later, once the humans covered most of part of the world. Arceus's wife gained ability from the Beginning Tree. That gave her another form whenever in water.

Soon missing his wife. Arceus came for her. But found she didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay in the world her first children created, and the rest of her others live. Hearing this, Arceus gave her the title, 'Queen of all creatures on the world'. Despite their youngest was the one who created the element creatures, known later as Pokémon.

But for her to keep this title. She had to, once a decade went by in the world, return to hers and Arceus' realm. She agreed and left with him.

However, decades later, watching his wife leave for their first children's creation world, Arceus didn't know this would be the last time she ever returns to their realm.

Chapter 1; A few years later

Within a cherry grove, aside a dirt path.

A group of small creatures with purple fur on its back and cream color fur on its stomach, were munching on some berries in the grove. The little creatures were known by humans as 'Rattata'. While they're birth name was, -from the first of their kind born from Mew- the element rodent animal.

"So, Bolt's really left yesterday?" one of them said to the one on its left, between eating.

"Yeah, the Lightening bird god told him where to go and who to see." This one pause to bite into another berry. "But between you and me. I think he'll just end up getting killed."

"You're probably right. But Bolt's always been different so it's no surprise he's chasing after some joke. I mean who wouldn't want to be us. I just think Bolt's insane."

At this statement all the mouse creatures agreed. Their buddy/sibling was crazy to go beyond what their creator, Mew made them to be. But they knew once Bolt's mind is made up there's no stopping him.

Meanwhile somewhere miles away

A purple rodent copy of the ones in the cherry grows, sneezed. "Ah-choo!" Using its paw to rub its nose, the rodent went back to its journey the lightening bird honor him. Regardless to what others thought (its family and friends) the rodent known as Bolt had to prove himself to the bird god before it would even help it.

Basically, he had to endure the lightening that been struck at it, many times since it asked the bird god to make it a lighting element creature like itself. Taking nearly 6 years to adapt to the lightening throw at him every day by the bird god. Nonetheless it paid off cause, though the bird god didn't have the power to change it from what Mew made it to be. There's another who could.

*Flashback*

"Who's Aurora, Lighting god?" Spent many of its years climbing the cliffs it's on. Bolt's unfazed by the high cliff mountain it was on with the yellow, spiky-looking fur, bird. Nor was he bothered with lighting shoot off the bird as it spoke. In fact, Bolt seems to love how the electric ran through his body if only for second or two.

"She's the queen of all of us, even my youngest sister, Mouse god, or as the human call her and she rather be call, Mew. While you and others were made from Mew. All the element gods of us are Aurora's children. If anyone could help you. It's her."

"How do I find her?" But Bolt didn't get any direction from the bird god's beak but shown the path it must go on by the bird channeling it's lightening through the rodent's mind.

"Now go. My mother won't stay in that spot long. And when you do find her. Tell her 'Spikey says hi'."

*End of flashback*

Bolt broke from his thought as he heard a Rattata in trouble. Despite he didn't care for his form or its inability to use lightening. Bolt would jump now to help one out.

Coming to the scene, while hiding in some bushes. He notices the rodent was lighter purple then itself, and smaller whiskers. So, without smelling the air to catch its scent. He knew the Rattata was female.

But it was the other purple creature there. Unfortunately this creature was his kind's worst enemy; behind humans that is.

Rising to its full height, towering over the female Rattata, was a snake Pokémon, or Ekans as humans call it. Bolt knew if he did anything it wouldn't work second time so had to make sure it works the first time.

With climbing mountains, training to be fast as lightening itself. Bolt's ability was stronger than any of his kind from what the bird god told him. So wasn't unbelievable for him to go up against Ekans without a several of his kind helping. However, the same wouldn't be said if this is a Arbok.

Making sure he plans this out right, before acting. Bolt picked up a pebble with its mouth. He slips out of his hiding spot, and hoping the other rodent didn't see him, stood nearby. Tossing the pebble in the air, Bolt swing its tail at the pebble sending it across the area hitting a tree in the far right, causing the Ekans turn towards the sound. Unhesitant, Bolt shoot for the distracted snake, and due to its usually speed agility, he looks like a purple blur. Not letting up on his speed, he rushes up on the snake, and sink his tooth into its head.

Immediately the snake begun thrashing around in pain. Holding his tooth in the snake's head, tasting its blood seeping out, Bolt saw in the corner of his eye, the snake's tail coming toward him. Shutting his eyes, but held its tooth in its spot, Bolt accepted his plan worked for the other Rattata to get away. But there's no way he himself can escape.

Suddenly he heard the snake cry out in pain. Reopening his eyes, only to widen them. Bolt was surprise to see the female rodent didn't run away, but join the fight, by sinking its teeth in the snake's tail. Thankfully, she didn't bite the snake's rattle at the end of its tail, where its poison is more deadly.

Unable to take anymore, Ekans swing around a bit more until finally both the rodents release their teeth on it. Where the snake fled thereafter.

"Come on let's get going, before it comes back with friends." Bolt said once landing on his feet beside the other rodent.

Instantly they took off and kept going until reaching a river. Sure they made a distance between them and the snake. Bolt starts a conversation with the female rodent.

"So why were you without your family pack? Did you get lost?"

"I should be asking you the same thing."

"I asked you first." Pointed out, Bolt.

"Fine. I'm actually on a journey."

"Wait you too?"

"What do you mean? Are you saying you're on a journey too?"

"Yeah," Bolt starts, "I know this might sound weird, but on this journey by the lightening bird god to see- "

"Aurora?"

"Wait-! Have you also been sent by the bird god to see her so she can give you lightening element too?"

"Well yes I have been sent to see her by a bird god. But not a lightening one. But instead, an ice one. And I'm going to her mother so I can use water."

"Wow. So, you're going to have water element and me lightening. And both of us heading the same way, huh."

"Yeah, I guess we are."

"Then do you want to travel together. You know to have a fighting chance when coming across enemies."

"Well, when you put it that way. Sure." As Bolt became glad to have company, a thought hit him.

"Oh, by the way, my family pack calls me, Bolt." The female Rattata laugh soon after.

"With it being our mothers who named us one spring after birth. I take it you showed signs you like lightening element even as a baby."

"You're right. But I didn't believe my mom's choice until training from the lightening bird god made my speed look like a lightning bolt flying by, well that's what my family pack says it looks like."

"Then it wouldn't be strange to say I'm called Aqua."

"No, it doesn't. Did you also train under the ice bird god?"

"Yeah."

"Really? Then what you learned from it?" The other open its mouth to say, but then closed it and approached the deep river.

"Boring way would be to tell you. But I got see your lightening agility. So, the fare thing to do is show you." The female of the two, took to the river. It turned back to the other on the land, "You have to get in to see."

Hearing this, Bolt join Aqua in the river. And soon as she saw him in the river with her, simply said, "follow me." And dived under the water. Without questioning, Bolt followed her.

With his kind able to swim a little (though many rather not) Bolt's eyes were adjusting good enough to see Aqua was still swimming down. Seeing this he kept following the female, passing several different water non-element animals and element ones.

It's than when he notices a school of water element goldfish (Magikarp) he couldn't breathe. Reaching his limit, despite Aqua continued swimming deeper, Bolt push himself up, where not long he broke through the surface, inhaling air even as he removed himself from the river, collapsing upon the ground. However, it wasn't until he was breathing normal again, that he caught Aqua still hasn't surface.

Fearing the worst creeping in, Bolt got in the motions to enter the water again. Just to see at that moment Aqua finally surface, but unlike he had been rushing to reach land. Aqua waved around in the river, like she's at home in the water. Before eventually exiting the water too.

She walked out of the river, seeming proud, despite her fur was all wet and drench. The faze 'wet rat' descried what they both look like. But Aqua unaffected to her wet fur.

"Since you had to come up early. You miss me touching the bottom of the river. That's thanks to my training from the ice bird god. I can swim and hold my breath longer than any of our kind that she witnessed." Still speaking, Aqua stepped up to Bolt, enough that he saw her fur was already drying up quickly while his was still wet. "And with my body enduring water for several years. My fur as form a strong coat against water, and making it dry almost as soon as I leave the water."

"Impress of." Bolt said, "Than I guess you want mind me doing this." By those words, Bolt shook off his fur, shaking water drops at Aqua.

"Ahh! Bolt." She cried, before glaring at the now dry, but untamed fur of Bolt's. Nonetheless the scene of the rodent's fur sticking out every angle of its body, cause Aqua bit of giggles. "You look so silly. Here let me help." And without waiting for respond from him. Aqua got to work in taming the male's fur, by licking some of it, into a laying position.

Bolt, during her doing this, froze up, cause the last time he been in this kind of situation. It been his mother bathed him. So having another of his kind; mostly a female that's not his mom. Bolt felt uneasy, but also puzzle he liked it and a bit disappointed when she stopped.

So, after this 'moment' and both notice they were across the river on the other side. Bolt spoke.

"So should we get going?" He said, then step back so Aqua could pass.

"Why yes," Passing by, Aqua allowed her tail 'innocently' brushed under his chin. "Bolty." Winking at him, she started walking, with Bolt, not long, by her side, walking too. Regardless both noticed Bolt's blushing cheeks to her nickname for him.
