You,Me,and Poke'mon!
A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC. It based on the GAMES and NOT the anime version.
It didn't take long to get to Wedgehurst. Honestly it was a straight shot from Postwick. Punkoon and Wooloo wrestled playfully while the two new trainers raced each other. Laughing upon arrival as Hop heated in playful frustration that Anani had made it first. A crowd was already forming around the station to greet the ever famous Charizard that belonged to none other than Leon himself.
"Hello~ Hello~ Wedghurst!" Leon beamed, "Your champion is back~!" he greeted everyone with a smile and the crowd gathered around him excitedly welcoming their champion, "I promise to continue doing my best to deliver to you the greatest battles for you all to watch!"
His fans gathered and cheered and Hop grinned. He couldn't stand more proudly, it made Anani giggle.
"I hope you all will continue your training too, and never shy away from a battle!" he stated, "Then you can come challenge me for the Champion title!"
the small crowd cheered excitedly.
"My wish is for Galar's Trainers to work together to become the strongest in the world!"
That was the great thing about Leon. While it was true he knew that he and his Charizard were strong, he also believed that others can be just as strong as he. He encouraged challengers to take on the Gym challenge for a chance to battle him one day. A dream shared heavily in Hop, and even within Anani herself.
I am not worthless...I am not nothing!
She thought to herself.
I can be strong too...like Piers...like Leon!
Someday...
"Zagoon Zaaa!"
Anani let out a shriek as her mischievious little bugger of a Poke'mon partner pounced on her head and zig zagged all around her body until she laughed finally holding him in her arms. And even Hop couldn't help but bust a giggle.
"My, what was that!?" Leon questioned out loud as he searched the crowd to see the waving arm of Hop.
"Lee!" he called out, the older brother's eyes blinked and he grinned.
"Hop!" he chuckled and made his way through the parting crowd, "So my number one fan in all the world has come out of his way to pick me up, has he?"
"Yeah, but not just me!" Hop beamed and looped his arm through a stunned Anani's, pulling her forward to greet Lee.
"Oh, aye?" Leon blinked, "These bright eyes here..." he stared for a moment, "You wouldn't happen to be the Sleeping Beauty of the Slumbering Weald, would you?"
"...Say what now?" Anani blinked.
"LEE!" Hop gasped blushing a beat colored red as he flailed his arms to silence his brother from speaking further.
"Aye, Anani, was it?" Lee chuckled, "The major Piers fan~?"
Anani blushed and puffed her cheeks at the snickering Hop beside her. "...The Sleeping Beauty of the Slumbering Weald, huh?" she narrowed her magenta gaze and side glanced over to a now overly embarassed Hop, "Is that what you call me, then?" she snickered, "And more so, why did you have to go on and tell him about how much I like Piers, huh!?" she huffed as she playfully pounded him with rabbit punches while he laughed.
"W-Well I mean..." Hop gulped awkwardly, "It's not wrong, is it?"
"Well...not particularly." she chuckled, "I mean...I was sleeping..." she pondered, "But there is one small part of that claim that is wrong..."
"Oh, aye?" Hop blinked, "What part, then?"
"...The beauty part~!" she snickered.
"Oh POSH on you!" Hop laughed, nudging her playfully with his elbow, "Get her, Punkoon!"
"Zaagoon ZA!"
"HEY!" she squealed and giggled as the bugger ran amock around her legs before she scooped him back up once more.
"You're supposed to obey me you little traitor!" she laughed, "So what if Hop was the one that caught you! You're my partner, you little stink!" she giggled as she snuggled her rembunctous little black and white friend. He played rough. But loved strongly.
"Punkoon?"
"Aye, Anani's Zigzagoon!" Hop stated, "This little bugger caused trouble for my Wooloo, so the rascal went to give chase and they wound up in the Slumbering Weald." he explained, "I gathered up my Wooloo and found myelf tripping over this lass..." he said nudging Anani,"She looked right knackered I say!" he stated, "She was dirty and banged up."
"You need to be careful around the Slumbering Weald!" Lee huffed, "You shouldn't go in there!"
"I know, I know!" Hop huffed, "But I had to get my Wooloo back! and besides..." he blinked and glanced over at Anani,"Imagine if I hadn't? I wouldn't have found Anani, then!"
"Hmm..." Leon sighed, "Yes, I suppose you did right on that part..." he said, "I'm glad you were able to help her but the two of you should avoid the place for your own safety, got that?"
"Aye, I got it!" Hop huffed, "Anyway, After finding Anani like that, naturally I did what any right proper gentleman would do and rescued her!" he said, "She didn't have anywhere to go so Mum lent her the shed." he blinked, "I caught that Zigzagoon and gifted it to her as a symbol of how we met, now she calls him Punkoon." he snickered.
"I see...Punkoon, eh?" Leon chuckled, "I dare say that's right clever!" he laughed, "I bet even Piers would get a laugh out of that, he would!"
Anani found herself blushing and smiling shyly.
"Sorry he made so much noise earlier..." she chuckled.
"Nothing to it!" Leon grinned.
"Come on, Lee!" Hop beamed, "And you too, Anani! I bet I can beat you both back home!" he grinned and darted off in a run.
"Oi, it doesn't count if you get a head start, Hop!" Anani called out to him.
"Posh on you!" he laughed in the distance, "Learn to keep up then~!"
"That Hop..." Leon chuckled as he remained behind with Anani,"Always wanting to be the best isn't he?" he smiled as he glanced down at her, "With a proper rival of his own, I bet he would push himself to become someone truly special."
"...Yeah, I think you're right." Anani smiled, "Well then let's go, Punkoon!" she beamed, "We can't let Hop and Wooloo make chumps out of us, can we!?"
"Zagoon Za!" Punkoon the Zigzagoon growled in defiance and the two ran on ahead. Followed be a laughing Leon.

"Come on, Lee~!" Hop whined playfully, "You promised us a present! so out with it then!"
"Oh, aye?" Leon blinked, "Did I now?"
"LEE!" Hop huffed, "Don't lie! you brought Anani and me Poke'mon!' he stated, "You did! I know you did!"
Leon laughed out hardily, caught by his little brother.
"Right, then..." Leon stated, "The greatest gift from the greatest champion..." he smiled and threw three Poke'balls into the air. And out popped three of the Galar Official starter Poke'mon for beginner trainers. There was the grass type Poke'mon Grookey, the fire type Scorbunny, and the water type, Sobble.
"Wicked!" Hop beamed.
"So cool..." said Anani, as she held close to Punkoon who seemed eager to cause a little playful mayhem with the new guests.
"If you two wish to take part in the Official Gym Challenge as beginners, it's required you choose from the official starters." said Leon.
"Go on then, Anani."
"What!?" Anani blinked, "Hop...are you sure?"
"Of course I am...Ladies first and all.~" he smiled warmly. One that was infectuous and warmed her up inside as she nodded.
"Right then...so...I choose..." her magenta eyes wanders slowly over the small creatures, each one seeming just as eager to join them. Suddenly a berry fell between them, startling the young Sobble which then began to cry. This caught Anani's attention, waking a sleeping memory within her.
Alone...scared...and crying...
She thought to herself.
I was...
she felt her body twitch as she watched the Scorbunny approach the Sobble and do a little dance to make make it smile again, and suddenly, she was seeing herself and Hop within them...
She remembered feeling scared...alone...and she remembered crying. She remembered Hop had come out that night, he had heard her crying. She apologized to him, for having woken him but he thought nothing of it. He just shook his head and smiled, sliding his way inside next to her and just...sat there. he put an arm around her, pulling her in, letting her cry against him. No words needed between them. As she settled, they talked. About nothing in particular. Then he told her all about Leon. And they stayed up half the night, watching his battles...
A smile creased her lips as this pleasant memory faded away...
She knew what she wanted.
"You." she said softly, kneeling down before the Sobble. A tiny, scared Poke'mon full of tears. A reflection of herself...a tiny...scared young girl, full of tears. "I think I'll call you Bloo." she smiled.
"Oh! I get it! because of the color, right?" Hop beamed.
"Well...partly." Anani chuckled, "But mostly because...I know that feeling all too well..."
Hop stared silently at her for a while...and then at Scorbunny and Sobble. He was probably remembering the very same night she was...and he smiled.
"Oh Aye...well." he shrugged and kneeled down in front of the Rabbit Poke'mon, "Then...I'll take Scorbunny." he grinned, "Because just like he did for Sobble...Maybe I can do the same for you." he smiled and placed a palm on the rabbit's head, "And hopefully help to make you feel that way a lot less!" He grinned, "However, I also aim to be the next champion!" said Hop, "So prepare yourself, Scorbunny, we're gonna train extra hard!" the two nodded in agreement and gave a fist bump promise.
"A fine goal, Hop." Leon beamed, "That's why I brought these Poke'mon for you and Anani." he stated, "So that the two of you can work and grow together, make each other stronger for the chance to face me!"
"Well I say, enough of this trainer nonsense for one night!" chimed their mom, "Dinner's ready children." she blinked, "Bring along your Poke'mon and let's have ourselves our feast!"
"All right!" Hop beamed.
He cheered excitedly for the grilling kabobs, holding one in each hand as he offered one to Anani while Leon sat warmly by, watching the scene.
