There are certain lines not to be crossed.
"You don't need to walk me you know. I'd be just fine on my own."
Certain things that no being may ever do.
"It's fine Haru-chan! Besides, I don't want anything to happen to you."
For if one does,
"Nothing's going to happen to me, I could've washed this up in the bathroom all on my own.

One may lose your very soul.
After the nurse had cleaned up her cuts she had been told she had to sit in a bed while she filled out a report of Haruhi having been there (absolute overkill for such a small thing if you asked Haruhi). 'Hunny' had insisted he wait and sit with her for a while.
"You know, Tama-chan isn't usually like that at all." She turned and saw that the dragon was looking at her curiously. Almost as if...
He was studying her.
He continued "He's really nice to everyone, and hardly ever actually loses his temper."
"That's nice." She looked into the boys light brown eyes as they spoke. There was no doubt, this gaze was that of a creature of strength.
"It's almost like..." Her gaze was unwavering from his "I guess you're just really special, huh Haru-chan?" His voice was high and childlike again, seemingly coming from another person compared to the tone he'd had earlier.
Special.
Yes, she supposed, one might call her special.
That is, if they knew of the downfall of the mermaids as intimately as she.
The next day the Hitachiin boys were bugging her all class, attempting to pass her notes and such. During lunch she managed to slip away and found refuge in an abandoned classroom by where the second years were taught. Just as she had sat down and let out a sigh of relief, she heard a familiar voice. Kyoya Ootori
"You'll have to stop by the music room this afternoon to discuss the payment of your rather hefty debt. We'll be seeing you then." Haruhi didn't turn to look at him as she knew his presence had already faded.
Darn vampire couldn't even let her enjoy her lunch in peace. If he wasn't careful was going to end up attracting those-
"Ohhhh, Haruhi!"
...twins.
When would this day just be over...
By the time she'd arrived at the third music room, all the hosts had gathered.
Tamaki immediately smiled at her from where he stood at the center of all the hosts
"My apologies for my boorish behaviour yesterday." His tone soon shifted to a slightly more serious one "There is of course still the matter of the debt you've accumulated."
"Despite certain (*ahem*) cons, it has been decided the best course of action is to have you become the Host club's dog!" He had then pointed a finger at her in an overly dramatic manner.
Haruhi, on her part, was far too distracted by another part of his statement to feel any real anger at the term dog.
Cons.
Cons
She wondered what these cons were.
Then again, judging by their reactions yesterday,

A/N: I'm going to keep chapters on this short. They'll likely get longer later once I have a less rough idea. To make up for the lack of substantialness I'm going to try and actually update regularly.
After all, you know what they say, quantity over quality!
"Wait a minute..."
