Heh, sorry this took a while, guys. Works been keeping me busy. Luckily things seemed to have slowed down so I was finally able to get to this!
Man, it was fun to work on this. And now I have to wait till the next cycle to get to this again XD ah well, it'll just make working on this all the sweeter.
Also, little thing to note, teen Lincoln's VA for this fic is Quinton Flynn, the voice actor for Axel. Props to Qazse for coming up with that.
Welp, hope you guys enjoy this!
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARRRRR!" Lincoln, Five, and Miko watched as the giant statue roared as it suddenly came to laugh, stepping off the center platform and looking down at the three gamers with bright green eyes.
The trio grinned as they got into fighting position, thinking that this was just part of the game/competition as Miko turned to the two boys and asked, "Think we can take him?" She asked as she was already hyped up to try and take down a giant statue monster.
"Just one way to find out!" Five said as-
SMASH!
He was effortlessly crushed by the foot of the statue monster. "Oh nerds…" Five said as he stuck to the bottom of the statue monsters' foot before he disappeared from the game.
"Sooooooo…" Lincoln let out slowly as he and Miko looked at each other with worried expressions on their faces. "Run away?"
"Meep! Meep!" Miko let out as he and Lincoln started jumping from platform to platform to try and get away from the monster.
In the real world, Lincoln and Miko were jumping and running around and over the couch in order to move around the game, holding the motion censors in their hands tightly as Miko did a backflip over the couch and Lincoln proceeded to jump to the side. "Take this!" Lincoln yelled out as he punched in the air a few times. "Burn baby!"
"Hi-Yah!" Miko let out as she army rolled around the couch before flipping up, landing perfectly on her feet, and kicking high into the air. "Aw yeah!"
But suddenly, without the two even noticing, the arm of the statue monster suddenly came right out of the TV and smashed the coffee table right in front of the two, the boyfriend and girlfriend jumping back out of instincts. "Woah!" Lincoln let out before chuckling. "Wow that almost felt real!"
"I know right!" Miko yelled back as she got into a fighting position, standing on one leg, and grinning enthusiastically. "This VR is so tight!"
But the two would soon learn this was much more than VR as the statue's hand suddenly reached forward and grabbed the two of them in a tight grip, knocking off their goggles and causing them to drop their motion sensors. "….Ooooooooh…." Miko let out as she saw the situation they were in.
"That…would explain it…" Lincoln let out in a blank tone before the two of them quickly started screaming in unison. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" The two struggled a bit as the hand slowly started to tighten its grip, but suddenly it let both of them go and the hand started flailing around widely as a pink energy covered it.
"Ok…that happened…" Lincoln let out as he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't just seeing anything.
"What…was that?" Miko questioned with a completely dumbfounded expression on her face. But the Japanese-American started wincing as she waved her hand around as she felt a sharp pain in it. "Ow, ow, ow, what the heck?"
"Are you ok?" Lincoln asked as both teens failed to notice a timer appearing on the TV. Quickly looking over her wrist, Lincoln saw that it must have been sprained. It wasn't anything to bad but considering what just happened Lincoln didn't wanna take any chances. "Hang on, I'll go get some bandages from the bathroom."
"Alright," Miko smiled at her boyfriends worry for her as she held her wrist. But a strange beeping sound quickly got her attention as the girl looked at the TV and saw a strange timer on it counting down from five. "What in the…"

FLASH!
"AAAAHHHH!" Miko let out a quick scream as a strange and powerful light flashed from her TV. The flash was strong enough to send Miko flying into the wall, knocking a bunch of things over including the couch, and creating more damage to the living room then there already was. "Ooooowww…" Suddenly a blue pixeled text bubble appeared above Miko's heads. Dots appeared on it as if it was loading something…but as it was doing so it suddenly glitched a little and turned red as the word 'ERROR' appeared before it disappeared.
"Alright Miko let me see your wrist again," Lincoln said as he came back into the living room with a roll of bandages in his hand. "It didn't look like anything serious but it should be better safe then-WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED IN HERE?!" Lincoln quickly started panicking as he looked around the living room and saw everything that was knocked down, even the couch! Lincoln then noticed his girlfriend on the floor and quickly went to her and started shaking her. "Miko! Miko are you ok!? Please wake up!"
"Uuuuuugh…but mom I don't wanna go to school today….." Miko let out in a groggy tone before she quickly snapped backed to reality and saw Lincoln looking down at her in concern. "Uuuuugh…Everythings spinning…"
"Miko what happened?" Lincoln asked as he helped sit Miko up, setting his girlfriend against the wall as she rubbed her head before looking over her wrist. "Did that arm come back or something and wreck the police."
"No, it wasn't…that," Miko said as she looked at the TV as Lincoln took some ointment out of her pocket and rubbed it over her sprained wrist. Miko couldn't help but smile at her boyfriends caring attitude towards her, even with something as simple as a little sprained wrist. "It was really weird, after you left there was a timer on the TV and went it hit zero there was a, BANG, bright flash of light almost like flash bang. Knocked me right into the air and blew away everything in the room."
"First that statue monsters hand coming out of the TV and then a bright flash…" Lincoln briefly paused his work on Miko's wrist as he turned to the TV, which was now turned off, with a bit of a serious look. Something was most definitely wrong with this. But what exactly? "Something doesn't feel right…"
"Yeah a video game monster arm coming out of the TV probably isn't the most normal thing," Miko told Lincoln in a slight teasing voice. No offense to him but it was kinda obvious that something was wrong.
"Hey in my defense we found out that dragons and magic gems exist," Lincoln defend himself with a small smirk on his face.
"…Touche," Miko admitted as she watched Lincoln wrapped her wrist in a few bandages. Once he was done she brought it up to her face and wiggled it around a bit, smiling as she didn't feel any pain. "Wow! Feels good as new!"
"I am your white mage after all," Lincoln told her with a wink, causing Miko to blush and giggle a bit at the corny line. "But you should take it easy for a few hours so you don't risk further damage, can't be to careful after all,"
"Oh alright," Miko relented before Lincoln helped her onto her feet and the two looked around as the messy living room. If Miko's parents found this, then they would be in trouble to say the least. "So what do we do about all this?"
"Hmmmm, maybe we could call Lisa up," Lincoln suggested as no doubt his genius younger sister would have something to fix up the room and repair all the damage. "I'm sure she was some invention that could-"
But cutting off Lincoln was the TV as it suddenly lit up again with a blue screen. Coming out of the TV was a strange-looking black disk that proceeded to scan the entire room around them…and fixed up all the damage. The couch went back to its normal position, the broken table and any broken glass were repaired like nothing happened to them, and all the knocked down items went back to their regular places. As soon as the room was all fixed up, the disk suddenly disappeared. "…Or we could just do that," Miko turned to Lincoln with a grin on her face.
"…I don't…I can't….that doesn't…" Lincoln tried to register what the heck just happened. The last ten minutes alone just had him asking a million questions a minute and quite frankly it was starting to give him a headache. So to keep his head from exploded, Lincoln decided to just roll with it. "Alright then…"
"Soooooo, what do we do now?" Miko asked as she and her boyfriend went to sit on the couch, Miko leaning against Lincoln and resting her head on his shoulder. Lincoln's body instinctively responded by putting an arm around the hyper girl and pulling her close. "We gonna try and look into this thing or what?"
"Yeah I don't think I'd be able to rest easily until we figure out what the heck just happened," Lincoln joked a bit causing giggles to come out of both him and Miko as Lincoln grabbed the TV remote. The white head then switched the inputs so that the TV was on its normal setting and just played shows, hopefully the cartoons won't end up coming to life next. Last thing they needed to be brought to life were talking frog people, incompetent green aliens, or the son of a shepherd. "Maybe we can try and find that High Five Guy, maybe the same thing happened to him as well,"
"Oh yeah! Good idea, he should live somewhere in royal woods," Miko said as she pulled out her phone and started searching up his gamer tag on social media. After a bit of scrolling, she found a selfie High Five took in front of a Mexican food truck that said 'Grandparents got a sick new sign' showing that his grandparents owned that food truck. "Ah found him! And it seems his grandparents own that truck, so I bet he hangs out there a lot. So should we head out?"
"Let's wait for your folks to come back first," Lincoln told her as he changed the channel so that it was on something they both can enjoy. After that little…experience, Lincoln wasn't feeling up for video games right now. "Don't wanna make them worry or anything and you know they don't answer their phones when they're at events. So we should tell them what we're gonna be doing."
"Ugh, alright fine," Miko let out in an impatient tone as Miko hopped from the couch cushion and onto Lincoln's lap, getting nice and comfy on her warm new seat. "There we go~ Much better~"
Lincoln let out a sigh as he smirked and lightly patted Miko on the head, "You're lucky I love you so much," Lincoln told her as Miko playfully stuck her tongue out.
"I know," Miko said before giving Lincoln a kiss to the cheek.
THREE HOURS LATER
"Ok so the truck should be around here somewhere, right?" Lincoln asked as Miko looked at her phone to try and make sure they were in the location. After Miko's folks came home, Lincoln and Miko told them how the tournament went, minus the whole video game monster arm coming out of the TV, and that they wanted to go meet their new friend Five. "I'm not seeing it anywhere."
"I'm sure this is the right street," Miko said as she stuck her head out the window to look at the street signs to make sure they were in the right place. However something caught Miko's eyes as the Japanese-American spotted a brightly colored sign on a truck. Narrowing her eyes at the truck, Miko gasped as she saw it was the very truck in Five's selfie. "WAIT! There it is! That way!"
"Got it!" Lincoln said as he made a quick turn in the direction Miko was pointing at. As they went forward, the truck became clearer for the two as they got closer to it and they were able to determine that it was indeed the truck they were looking for. "Alright, just gotta find a place to park. Hopefully he's there."
After a few minutes, Lincoln was able to find a place to park his car and he and Miko quickly went over to the truck. Inside they saw Five's grandparents serving the line of customers in front of the truck but didn't see the boy they were looking for. Lincoln was thinking about asking the two Hispanic people if Five was around, the couple saw the back of the truck opening up and stepping out with a big bag of garbage in his hand was none other then High Five. "Hey Five! We found you!" As Five was walking towards the dumpster with the heavy bag of trash, Lincoln and Miko walked up to him with Miko having a bit of a creeped out look on her face. "In an ally! No judgements."
"Miko he's just taking out the garbage," Lincoln told his girlfriend with an eye roll as he gestured to the trash Five had and the dumpster. As Five threw the trash in the dumpster, he looked at Lincoln and Miko with a raised brow. Looking as if he didn't even know the two. "Hey Five, how's it going? Hey, just a weird question, when you were competing in the tournament did that statue monsters arm sort of…come out of the TV or something?"
"Uh, what?" Five asked in an incredibly confused tone. Who were these two and why were they talking to him like they knew him? "Do I know you two?"
Lincoln and Miko rose a brow at this as they looked at each other before looking back at five. "Don't you remember us? We only met a few hours ago," Lincoln stated as he pointed a thumb at himself. "It's me, Loud_10."
"And I'm Me_KO!" Miko re-introduced herself with a smile.
At hearing those gamer tags, Five's eyes widened as he instantly remembered all the defeats he's suffered online from those two. Five quickly jumped back and laughed nervously at the couple in front of him. "Uh, n-never heard of you…" Five told them with a nervous smile.
"We just played in a tournament together," Miko stated as Lincoln scratched his head. Something was seriously up, and it seemed to be more then just video games coming to life. "You know, Nobi Smash? The game glitch? The statue monster?"
"We were in a tournament?" Five asked as he started to walk away from the two and back towards the truck.
"You…really don't remember?" Lincoln asked as he and Miko followed him. It was then that Lincoln started putting the pieces together. That bright flash that Miko said came out of the tv, that disc that made it look like nothing happened…what if that was an attempt to make everyone who saw it completely forget what happened. "Wait a second…Miko, what happened after that flash?"
"Well…like I told you it just sorta pushed me back. My head felt weird for a second but that was about it," Miko let out…before her eyes widened and she let out a loud gasp as she figured it out as well. "Oh my gosh…what if that was supposed to make us forget what happened! And it made you forget everything as well Five! This could be like some…some…some-spiracy!"
"Conspiracy," Lincoln corrected.
"Same thing!" Miko waved him off before looking up at Five.
It was then that Five laughed at what the two were saying, thinking this was some sort of prank. "Come on, I think I'd remember playing Nobi Smash with a statue monster. And I doubt someone wiped my brain," Five then rolled his eyes and started walking towards the truck again
"So you didn't get a wrist band?" Miko questioned as she and Lincoln held up their Hinobi wristbands. "And you didn't go to the Hinobi Store?"
"Look, the only place I've been for the last three days is this truck." Five informed the two in an effort to try and get the couple to leave him alone. "And trust me, it never goes anywhere. If this is a joke, I don't really get it, but, you know, ha ha! You got me!"
"You were at that tournament Five!" Miko and Lincoln persisted even as Five went inside the truck. "You need to believe us."
"Why?" Five let in an irritated tone. "What does it even matter?"
"…Because you won man," Lincoln told him with Miko nodding. Five looked at them with a shocked look as the two started walking away.
The door to the truck began to close but Five quickly opened it up again as he stepped outside again. "Some-spiracy?" Five questioned as he watched the couple head towards Lincoln's car. "That's loco! Me, in a tournament? Like I've been anywhere but…" Five was about to deny the whole thing again…until something below him caught his attention. Looking down, he that there were tire tracks that went from where the truck always was to the road. But…that was impossible, this truck has never moved before. "A-A-Abuela, uh, did you or Papi move this truck in the last few days?"
"Hah!" Abuela quickly laughed as she patted the walls of the truck she hasn't driven for who knows how long. "This old beast hasn't moved in the last few decades!"
After hearing this, Five looked at the tire tracks again before looking towards Lincoln and Miko again. Maybe…Maybe they were telling the truth. "Uh, sorry Abuela, I gotta go!" Five told his grandmother as he quickly took off his apron and ran after the gamer couple. Thankfully he was able to catch up with the two right as they entered the white heads car. "Hey! Hold up you guys!"
Lincoln and Miko looked over at Five, who had walked in front of the door to the driver's side, as the former asked, "What's up?" Lincoln asked as he unlocked the doors to the back, already seeing where this might be going.
"Ok, look, let's just say I really did play in that tournament." Five began as Lincoln and Miko smirked at him. "You're saying I beat Mitch Williams?"
"Even made him rage quiet," Lincoln said with a chuckle, man he was glad that moment didn't get erased from his memory.
"With our help of course," Miko added on.
"I put him in a full nelson," Lincoln stated with a cheeky grin.
"…Alright," After thinking about it for a bit, Five nodded and decided to go along with the two. "I don't know what's going on, but I wanna find out."
"Heh, pride really does beat all," Lincoln told Miko, who giggled in response, before he looked at Five and pointed his thumb towards the back seat of his car. "Get in the back, I'll get us to the Hinobi Store in no time."
"Too glory!" Miko cheered with a raised fist. As soon as Five sat himself down in the car and buckled up, Lincoln quickly drove off to the number one game store in town.
It was only about a 15-minute drive to the store and once they were there, Lincoln found a parking space and the three peaked inside the store from inside the car, looking at what was going inside through the glass doors. "Man, I love this store," Five smiled as some fond memories of this location of the store popped in his head. "When I was little, my dad would be me here all the latest game releases."
"Hehe, hey that was the same for us," Lincoln told Five as he and Miko smiled at memories of them doing the same thing. "Usually one of my parents would take us here all the time, Miko's parents would also bring us sometimes but it was mostly my folks."
"Oh my gosh! Remember when Lucy came with us when Resident Evil 7 came out?" Miko asked Lincoln as she remembered that particular release and started laughing. "Man, I didn't think she was capable of smiling so much, hahaha!"
"Oh yeah that's right!" Lincoln then started laughing as he remembered his usual stoic sister smiling so much when that game came out. Lucy didn't play games to often, but when she did she loved the horror titles like Resident Evil and Bloodborne. "Man, I think her face actually froze there for a bit."
"Hahaha, yeah I…have no idea who that is," Five laughed awkwardly as the two talked about someone he knew absolutely nothing about so he really didn't understand what was so funny. To try and break this awkwardness, Five asked a question after looking at both Lincoln and Miko and sensing a vibe from them. "So hey, are you two like a couple or something?"
"You know it!" Miko answered him in a chipper tone as she took Lincoln's hand into her own and squeezing him tightly. "This little snowball here is all mine~"
"We met when we were six years' old at Joystick Jr's." Lincoln explained to Five, although he didn't explain the part of Miko kicking up Ralphie Bears head as that was something Miko wasn't fond of talking about. Even if its what ended up bring her and Lincoln together in the first place. "We became a couple at 11 during a Christmas party at my neighbor's house and we've been going steady ever since. We've had a few fights but we've always managed to pull through."
"And we balance each other out pretty well," Miko said with a grin. "I make sure he cuts loose and goes a little nuts every now and then,"
"And I keep her from doing anything to crazy and stupid," Lincoln added as he ruffled Miko's hair a little bit, making his girlfriend playfully stick her tongue out. "We always got each other's back through thick and thin."
"Wow, that's really cool." Five smiled at the couples love story. "The classic childhood friend turned lovers trope huh?"
"Hey yeah exactly!" Miko laughed as she didn't even think of it like that. In hindsight it's actually extremely obvious that's the case. "Don't know how I didn't realize that…"
"I didn't tell you do you'd figure it out yourself," Lincoln told Miko making her playfully hit his shoulder, getting a small laugh out of Five. As Lincoln as laughing and trying to avoid hits from his girlfriend, he ended up looking through the doors of the Hinobi store and spotted the very person they were trying to find. "Wait, look! There's that egotistical snake!"
Five and Miko immediately stopped doing what they were doing and looked through the glass doors and saw Mitch talking with Phil, but they couldn't hear what it was. "Oh man! It's Mitch Williams!" After seeing the man himself, Five immediately started fanboying, prompting annoyed looks from Lincoln and Miko. Five really must have been brain washed if he still thought Mitch was cool. "I mean, he's, like, a local legend! Did you know that we won his first competition when he was six? And he's still got the highest global score on Nobi's Bubble Tea?"
"Well before you finish that love letter, remember, Mitch is the creep that probably wiped your brain," Miko informed him with a bit of an annoyed tone. She knew that Mitch wasn't the most humblest of gamers even before today, but now she's lost any tiny bit of respect she had for him.
Lincoln to as he followed up with what Miko said, "Seriously, I just don't get people like that," Lincoln said as he shook his head and glared at Mitch Williams. "Games are supposed to bring people together so they can all have fun, and people like him just focus on crushing anyone in their way and being poor sports about it,"
"Aw come on, he can't be that bad," Five defended his gaming hero before looking at Miko and Lincoln with a raised brow. "Besides, if he wiped my mind why didn't he do the same with you?"
"Hmmmmm…" Lincoln thought about this as he held his chin. "Well…Miko said a bright flash came from the TV, if I had to guess I think that's what was supposed to wipe our minds. I left before the flash so I managed to avoid it. But…Miko somehow wasn't affected."
Miko hummed a bit as Lincoln and Five looked at her, eventually the Japanese-American gasped as the reason became so clear to her. "Maybe I'm, like, the one, you know?" Miko explained with a giant grin on her face. "Chosen by destiny to protect the innocent from trolls like him!"
"…Or it could be your ADHD." Lincoln pointed out after Miko finished. "It's possible whatever they are using to wipe minds only affect an average person's brain waves, and since ADHD affects stuff like that it's possible it protected you from the mind wipe.
"Oooooooh riiiiiiiight…yeah that probably makes more sense," Miko smiled and shrugged before looking towards the Hinobi Store again and saw Mitch Willaims leaving. "Look, here he comes." The trio watched as Mitch got into his van and drove off. Lincoln and Miko looked at each other and nodded as Lincoln started up the car again. "We're coming to get you, Williams."
"Wait, sorry, but what's the plan here?" Five asked as Lincoln started following Mitch's van from a safe distance so that way Mitch wouldn't catch onto them.
"Oh right, sorry, sometimes I forget that other people can't understand when we communicate silently," Miko chuckled a bit as she turned to Five and explained the plan she and Lincoln thought off together silently. "We're just gonna follow Mitch around until he leads us to his den of lies!"
"And if we're lucky we'll be able to catch him in the brain washing act," Lincoln said as he kept his eyes on the Hinobi van, following its every movement so they wouldn't lose Mitch. "We'll make sure everyone knows what kind of stuff he does."
They followed Mitch for a few minutes until they saw him approach the drive-through of the most popular fast-food joint. Lincoln stopped the car in front of the restaurant as he and the two others in the car with him watched the exchange between Mitch and the girl at the window. It seemed pretty normal…until they saw Mitch aim some sort of gauntlet at the woman's face and flash a bright light at her…wiping her memory.
"That bastard…" Lincoln growled as he and Miko glared at the sight with Five gaining a look of shock as his jaw dropped. Lincoln quickly took at his phone and started recording as the woman handed Mitch some food. As she asked for the money for the food, Mitch wiped her mind again before driving away with two bags full of food he didn't pay for. Mitch then started driving away, with Lincoln putting his phone away and started up his car again. "Ya ain't getting away this time!"
As Mitch was driving out of the parking lot, while eating a burger with one hand, Lincoln drove in front of Mitch's van causing the pro gamer to make a hard stop and making the burger fly out of his hand and splatter on his window. Mitch growled and opened the door to his van, at the same time Lincoln, Miko, and Five exited out of the former's car, and glare at the trio. "Hey! Out of the way!" Mitch yelled in frustration.
But the three glared back at Mitch as Five spoke up, "Hey, champ, we need to talk," Five said in a serious tone.
Mitch rose a brow before getting a good look at Five's face. "What the…" Mitch quickly remembered Five at the tournament, and how he personally wiped his mind. Making sure he wouldn't remember that video game monster coming to life, and his cheat of a win. "I remember you."
"And we remember you." Miko stated as she and Lincoln stepped up.
"Yeah, and we know you're not only a cheat, but you're also a thief too," Lincoln crossed his arms as he glared at Mitch, pointing to the fast-food bags in his van. "Hope you plan on going back and paying for those."
Mitch scoffed at this and looked Lincoln right in the eye. "Excuse me, but I'm Mitch Williams," Mitch claimed in an egotistical tone, as if just that justified what he did. "Who the hell are you snowball."
"The names Lincoln Loud." Lincoln told Mitch with a grin as he pointed at his forehead. "Got it memorized?"
"Eeeeeee!" Miko let out a quiet fangirl squeal as she looked at Lincoln with stars in her eyes.
Meanwhile Five gave Lincoln a rather puzzled look as he scratched his head. 'Why do I feel like I heard Lincoln's voice somewhere?' Five decided that was a question best saved for later as he looked at Mitch again. "Anyway, you stole my win. Uh, apparently."
"How can you know about that?" Mitch demanded in an angered tone as he walked towards the group. Readying his gauntlet, he glared at the trio as he turned up the power of the mind eraser and aimed it at them. "I reset you myself. Everybody resets." Mitch then aimed his gauntlet at them and flashed a bright light at the three, Lincoln and Five quickly covered their eyes to try and defend themselves from it but after they heard it go off they saw Miko had stood in front of the them and shielded them from it.
A text bubble appeared above Miko's head, but like before at her house it glitched out and turned red, showing an error message before going away. "Is zapping people your solution to everything?" Miko asked with a harsh glare. Mitch gasped at the sight as his eyes widened, Miko…didn't reset. How was that possible?! "Pretty sad if you ask me. Especially since a tool like that could be used to help people," Mitch turned up the power of his mind-wiping device even more before trying to reset Miko again, only to fail. "Instead of cheating."
Mitch then started to panic as no matter how much he turned up the power, Miko didn't reset as she kept stepping closer to him. "Everybody! Resets!" As he kept trying to wipe Miko, Mitch failed to notice Five and Lincoln sneaking behind his van.
"You love to play the hero when really, you're just some bully!" Miko yelled fiercely at Mitch as he turned up the power of his mind wiper to 100%.
"I'll wipe you clean!" Mitch yelled as he was prepared to wipe away the entire month from Miko's brain as he had to.
"Take this ya piece of crap!" Lincoln yelled from right behind Mitch as the pro gamer suddenly felt a fist coming to the back of his head and knocking him on the ground. Before Mitch could try and get up, Lincoln pinned him to the ground and tried removing the gauntlet from Mitch's arm. "Show ya what happens when you mess with my girlfriend!"
It was then that Five helped Lincoln as both boys wrestled with Mitch to try and remove his gauntlet. "Let...go!" Mitch yelled as he tried to get the two boys off him. "You don't know what this thing does!"
"Can't be worse than letting you keep it!" Lincoln yelled as he slapped Mitch in the face.
"Yeah! Kick his ass Lincoln!" Miko cheered her boyfriend on with a grin.
"Give…it…up!" Five yelled as he tapped the screen on the gauntlet. Suddenly it started glowing, making all four pairs of eyes turn to it. They all watched some weird green creature, about the size of a mouse, made of pixels came out of the gauntlet and suddenly zoomed off in the direction of the arcade/pizzeria Joystick Jr's. "Uh, what was that?"
Before anyone could say anything else, the voice of Phil came out of the Mitch's gauntlet. "Mitch, we're showing a Glitch release from your gauntlet."
"Glitch?" Lincoln repeated in a confused tone before Mitch kicked both him and Five away and finally managed to stand up.
"Got it under control." Mitch told his boss through the gauntlet in an irritated tone. "Don't send backup."
"Just be careful." Phil warned as Mitch activated his visor and saw the Glitch that was released manage to make its way inside of the arcade, the worst possible place a Glitch could end up. "If that thing goes viral it could spread through the entire arcade."
"Oh boosh!" Mitch yelled as with the Glitch actually inside the arcade, the outcome Phil spoke about was most likely to happen. Mitch then glared at Lincoln, Miko, and Five, more then ready to be done with them. Not only was his meal probably cold by now, with one of the burgers he got still splattered against his windshield, but now they created a whole mess he had to clean up. "I am done playing with you three whack-a-moles." Before the three could react, Mitch shot a blue beam below their feet and created a portal. Lincoln, Miko, and Five let out whelps as they send fell right into the inside of Mitch's van which seemed to be a lot bigger on the inside then the out. "Listen you blueberries, this is a serious...Mitchuation. I can't have you morons make it any worse!"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Seriously?" Miko asked with a raised brow over what Mitch said. That has got the be the dumbest thing she's ever heard in her life. "A 'Mitchuation'?"
"Spent all night coming up with that one huh?" Lincoln quipped with just caused Mitch to get even angry.
"I used to look up to you..." Five told Mitch with his voice breaking. Five had watched Mitch's gaming videos for years, a lot he learned about games he learned from Mitch. But now he learned that Mitch was a self-centered jerk that erased people's minds just to get what he wants. "And now I don't even know who you are…"
"I'll tell you who I am." Mitch began, his tone gripping with venom. "I'm the guy who's gonna send you back to the alley you crawled from. And this time...you're gonna stay there. Where you-"
SPLAT!
Mitch was then cut off by Lincoln throwing one of the burgers in the fast-food bags right at Mitch's face. "Do you ever shut up?" Lincoln asked in an irritated tone, causing Mitch to let out a loud vicious growl as he slammed the van doors shut. A robotic voice then said 'security system activate' the trio saw various things in the van glow as all the doors locked shut and kept them trapped in. "Tch, that guy has issues."
Miko immediately tried to open up all the doors to the van as Five started to anxiously walk around in circles. Despite Miko's efforts, the doors remained cloths. "Come on, try everything," Miko said as her and her boyfriend looked around. "There's gotta be something we can use in here."
Meanwhile, Five just kept pacing around as his breathing got heavy. "This is out of control!" Five yelled as a freaked outlook appeared on his face. Both Lincoln and Miko gave Five blank looks at Miko gestured Lincoln to go and help him out, he was better with this sort of thing. "The kid has stuff that opens portals and erases memories! Who knows what else he made us forget? Family members? Pets? What if we already got out of here but he made us forget we did, so now we think we're still in here? What if we've always been in here?!"
"DUDE!" Lincoln yelled as he lightly smacked Five on the shoulder, this did the trick and snapped him out of his freak out. "Five, look at me. Breath in."
Five did as Lincoln told, looking the white head right in the eyes as he took a deep breath in. "Now breath out," Five then breathed out. "Now then, close your eyes and count backwards from ten."
"O-Ok…" Five closed his eyes shut as he started counting down. "Ten…nine…eight…seven…six…five…four…three…two…one…"
After counting, Five took another deep breath and seemed to have calmed down. "Better?" Lincoln asked with a small smile.
"Yeah…I…I think so." Five said as he held his arm. "S-Sorry about that, I-I don't do well with stress."
"It's fine man, we all got our weakness'." Lincoln told Five as he went back to standing next to Miko. "Look, I'm just as confused about this whole thing as you are. But if we did have our mindwipes again, Miko wouldn't be affected remember?"
"Oh…right…" Five laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head. "Forgot about that,"
"Look, at least I have the video evidence of Mitch mind wiping that girl at the window so we have that on him," Lincoln explained as he briefly pulled out his phone. "Put I heard a voice from that Power Glove thing he was wearing about a Glitch being released from that gauntlet, probably what that weird green thing was."
"Now we just have to figure out how to get outta this van so we can check things out for ourselves." Miko explained as she started looking around. "And maybe kick Mitches butt a few times if we can spare it,"
"Definitely that," Lincoln said as he and Miko grinned. As Lincoln was looking around, he noticed something on the floor and picked it up, after a bit of examination he turned to Five. "Hey, Five…think I found something that belongs to ya."
"Huh, what do you-" Five cut himself off as Lincoln proceeded to slap a wristband onto his wrist…an orange Hinobi wristband with his gamer tag on it. "Whoa...where did you-"
"He probably just tossed it in here," Lincoln told him as Five stared at the wristband, deep in thought. Suddenly, as he was looking, Five's eyes widened as it all came back to him. Meeting Lincoln and Miko, working together with them, beating Mitch Williams, winning the tournament, and…
"Good thing you were never here,"
"…I…did beat Mitch Williams," Five said as all his wiped memories returned.
"Heh, you bet you did," Lincoln told him with a grin. "Took you long enough to remember,"
"…Come on, help me find a way out of here," With renewed vigor, Five and Lincoln began searching around for something that could help them bust out of the van.
"Hey guys! I think I found something~!" Miko told with a sing-song voice as she pulled out some strange oval-shaped machine with a flat bottom, a blue reflective screen, and a big tempting red button on the top. "Ooooooo! Look! A red button! The mother of all buttons! ….Imma push it!"
"Uh, you sure that's a good idea?" Five asked in a worried tone. "Big red buttons tend to lead to…explosions."
"Yeeeeeeah, gonna have to go with Five on this one," Lincoln agreed as he stepped up to try and take the weird object from Miko. "Maybe that's one thing we shouldn't-"
"Boop!" Miko pressed the button.
"MIKO!" Lincoln and Five yelled as they quickly backed away as much as they could.
The button then disappeared as the screen on it started counting down from 7. As it was counting down something popped out from the bottom allowing it to start floating in the air in front of them, "Ah! Please don't blow up, please don't blow up-" Five repeated as the counter hit one and…
Suddenly an emoticon face appeared on the screen of the Machine. "Welcome cadet." The trio's eyes widened as the machine spoke to them with a cute high pitched robotic voice. "I am BITT, a Binary Intelligence Tech Trainer! Searching for updates...none found."
"…Ya know after the day we've had this doesn't even surprise me," Lincoln said in a deadpanned tone as Miko smiled and started to inspect BITT.
"Well maybe this thing can help us get out of here," Five suggested to Lincoln.
"I am sorry, but my services are for the exclusive use of Glitch Tech recruits." BITT told the trio as three holographic screens around BITT all saying 'Glitch Techs' but they then quickly changed to pictures of snacks and drinks. "I also dispense food and beverages." A ding was heard as a compartment below BITTs face opened up with a tray of muffins coming out. "Fresh-baked muffin? Mmm..."
Miko quickly gained sparkles in her eyes as she went up to BITT and hugged the machine close. "Lincoln! I want one for Christmas!" She then proceeded to give Lincoln her best pair of puppy dog eyes. "Pweeeeeease~?"
"Uuuuuuuuh…" Lincoln quickly sweat dropped, knowing that no amount of willpower will allow him to say no to that face. "We'll…talk about it later…"
"Uh, so anyway, what's a Glitch Tech?" Five asked to quickly change the subject away from this.
"Citizens employed by Hinobi for the purpose of detecting and capturing glitch entities!" BITT explained as he showed the trio pictures of two people in the Hinobi Uniforms and gear Mitch had on.
"Uh, that's us all right!" Miko lied with no regret as she walked up to a shelf in the van and grabbed three spare headgear that Mitch kept in here, throwing a pair of Lincoln and Five. "New trainees reporting for duty, right guys?"
"You know it," Lincoln said as he put on the headgear with a smirk.
"Uuuuh…" Five let out as he saw Lincoln and Miko wink at him, prompting him to go along with the lie as well as he put on the headgear. "Um, yeah! We're all trainees employed by Hinobi for the purposes of whatever you just said."
"Very well," BITT seemed to believe them as he explained how the gear worked. A hole opened up on each side of BITT as the little robot pulled out and tossed to the trio a gauntlet similar to the one Mitch had. "Simply connect these Glitch gauntlets and choose "Start" to begin."
The three nodded as they all put the gauntlet BITT handed them on their right hand. The word Start appeared on the screen and, as BITT told them to, they all pressed the button to activate the gear. Suddenly pieces of armor came out of the gauntlet, similar to how that Glitch was released earlier and attached themselves to the trio. When it was finished, all three were wearing the Hinobi uniforms the employees at the store wore as well as special armor that consisted of blue kneepads, a black chest plate with a white H embedded onto it, and black sleeves.
"Ok…this is officially the coolest thing ever…of all time," Lincoln grinned like a kid during Christmas morning as he, Miko, and Five looked over themselves in their new gear. "Look at all this stuff! It's got some kind of UI. Like a radar, a mini-map, a targeting crosshair!"
"Move your wrist up, down, and side to side," BITT told the "new recruits" in order to help get them used to the gear. "This is known as your targeting area."
"OoOoOh, I am loving where this is going!" Miko grinned enthusiastically as she aimed her gauntlet forward like a gun.
Just then an alarm sound started coming out of BITT as a map appeared on the robot's face. "Glitch detected!" BITT told the trio as the map pinpointed the location of Joystick Jr's. "Now calculate the shortest route."
"Uh, shortest route to what?" Five asked as a loud screen appeared on BITT's face. Suddenly a much large body spawned right behind BITT, the little robot flying into a hole in the top of the big machine. BITT's face then appeared on the front of it as a pair of bulky robotic arms and legs popped out of holes that opened up on the body.
When BITT finished transformation, the now bigger robot grabbed Lincoln and Miko in one arm, and Five in the other. "The shortest route to intercept the Glitch!" BITT told them before making a mighty leap right through the roof of the van.
Currently at Joy Stick Jr's, everything seemed to be normal. A birthday party was going on and kids with party hats were all over the arcade playing the various games there. Also, there was Mitch Williams, stepping carefully and making sure to look around every corner and scan every arcade machine. Thanks to those noobs a Glitch was released from his gauntlet and got into the arcade. If he didn't find it fast it could spread havoc all throughout the arcade.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Suddenly the high pitch scream of a girl was heard and Mitch instantly react as he pointed his gauntlet at the source…only to see it was the excited scream of a little girl who just got the high score in one of the games.
Mitch deactivated his gauntlet and seemed to relax…until a green surge of electricity flew past him. "AAAHHHH!" Mitch let out a high-pitched scream as the Glitch flew past him, the pro gamer tried to shoot it but the pesky thing managed to avoid all his shots as it proceeded to enter into one of the many arcade cabinets.
Chomp Kitty.
Suddenly the cabinet shook widely as the screen glowed a haunting green as a flurry of pixels flew out of it. All the pixels came together, and Mitch and all the kids watched before their eyes as a giant Chomp Kitty appeared and landed in front of Mitch. The video game cat looked down at Mitch and glared at him, letting out a cat-like growl as it bared its razor-sharp teeth. But Mitch wasn't intimidated at all by it as he glared back at the Glitch. "I hate retro titles." Mitch stated as he blasted Chomp Kitty in the face with his gauntlet. The giant cat recoiled back at this as the blast caused a hole to appear on its face…that quickly regenerated and served only to make Chomp Kitty angry as it roared at Mitch.
All the kids in the arcade screamed as they tried to run away, but as they were running Mitch quickly wiped their minds of the event making them all daze and pass out in the dining room. Before Mitch could start fighting the Glitch, his headset beep and alerted him about, "Glitch Techs approaching."
Mitch growled in irritation as he spoke into his headset. "I said no backup!" Mitch Williams didn't need backup, he was a solo player.
Just then something crashed through the ceiling of the arcade and landing on the floor in front of Mitch quite expertly was Five, Lincoln, Miko, and BITT. "You have reached your destination." BITT said as the trio quickly got ready for action as they faced Mitch down.
At seeing the three that have caused him so much trouble, Mitch's anger only grew. "I've had it with you griefers!" Mitch yelled as his eye started to twitch, why can't these idiots just leave him alone!? "I am trying to clean the mess you made, and you keep making it worse!" Right as Mitch finished, a large mouth suddenly engulfed the upper half of his body.
Lincoln, Miko, Five, and even BITT all gained shocked looks as they watched the scene. "Chomp Kitty?" Five questioned as he watched the star of his favorite video game toss Mitch into the air and swallow him whole and spit out his gauntlet.
"Strategic update…runaway!" BITT yelled out quickly.
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Lincoln yelled as the four of them quickly started to run away from the Glitch. They ended up splitting up at a cut away in the arcade as Miko and Five went one way with Lincoln and BITT going the other way, with Chomp Kitty decided to chase Miko and Five with Lincoln quickly noticing. "Miko!" At seeing his girlfriend in danger, Lincoln quickly turned to BITT for advice. "BITT! You know about these…Glitch things right? You gotta tell me how to stop them!"
"A Glitch is a physical manifestation of a plixel construct." BITT informed Lincoln of the nature of Glitches as fast as he could. "They are limit to the bass programming of their respective games and act out patterns as such. To defeat a Glitch their plixel bodies must be broken down with attacks until it's been reduced to its base form."
"Alright so if we wanna beat it, we just need to beat it down until it turns back into that green pixel thing right?" Lincoln summarized with BITT nodding his head in conformation. Lincoln then put a hand to his chin in thought. "Ok, so that would be the best way to take down Chomp Kitty? Its main obstacle in the games are rats so maybe-" As Lincoln was thinking, his gauntlet started beeping. Looking at it, Lincoln saw he was receiving a call and upon answering it, he saw Mitch from inside the stomach of Chomp Kitty. "Mitch? Are you ok?"
"I am stuck in the belly of a malevolent digital construct," Mitch told him with a beyond irritated tone that made Lincoln glare at the pro gamer. "So, NO! I AM NOT OKAY! HELP ME, YOU MORON!"
"Tch, way to ask someone for help jackass," Lincoln said with narrowed eyes. Peeking his head from the arcade cabinet, he saw Miko and Five continuing to run from Chomp Kitty. "Fine, on one condition! You admit to what you did and help us put things right!"
"Fine…" Mitch reluctantly agreed to the terms. "Just get me out of here! The static discharge is frizzing my hair!"
Lincoln then hung up on Mitch as he turned to BITT. "Ok BITT, how do I use this thing?" Lincoln asked as he tapped the gauntlet a few times and eventually pulled up the items menu. "What kinda items can this thing me?"
"Similar to Glitches, the gauntlet can provide various gear made of plixel constructs." BITT informed Lincoln as the boy scrolled through the various items. "Many of the items come from various games and have all the abilities from the game they are from."
"Wait, wait, wait, so I could pull any item from any game with this thing?" Lincoln asked with widened eyes as BITT nodded. Grinning excitedly, Lincoln pressed the little magnifying glass icon and started typing in the first thing to came to find. Pressing confirmed, Lincoln watched in wonder as pixels came out of the gauntlet and formed the very item he searched for. "Oh hell yeah…"
"AAAAAAHHH!" Five and Miko yelled as they narrowly avoided Chomp Kitty lunging at them, the giant cat instead crashing into a bunch of arcade cabinets.
"This is no longer my favorite game!" Five yelled as Chomp Kitty quickly got up and started chasing the two again as-
"FIRAZA!" Suddenly a large bright fall ball was shot from the distance and struck Chomp Kitty right in the face, sending the large cat back quite a bit.
"What the hey-hey?" Miko question as she and Five turned to the source of the fire. The sight making stars appear in her eyes.
"HEY! FURBALL!" Lincoln yelled as in his hands was a bright and shining Keyblade, powerful fire attack coming from the large key. "LEAVE THEM ALONE!"
"…My God he's hot…" Miko muttered under her breath as Lincoln and BITT jumped right next to the two.
"Alright guys here's the plan, use your gauntlets to pull up items we can use to attack it. According to BITT, we just need to wear it out until it goes back to its base form." Lincoln told the two what BITT told him about fighting Glitches. Miko grinned and jumped up and down eagerly as she pulled up the items menu on her gauntlet and after searching for a few seconds, proceeded to generate a large purple hammer.
"Ooooo, Miko likey~" Miko said as she nuzzled her cheek against the weapon.
"Five, you said Chomp Kitty is your favorite game…well…used to be," Lincoln corrected himself as he turned to Five. "You know anything that can take it down?"
"Well let's see, the rats in the game would be obvious but…then we'd have a bunch of them running around causing trouble," Five tried to think of a sure-fire way to take that over sized feline down. Just then Five gasped as it came to him. "Wait! That's it! In the later levels of the game, there are poisonous slices of pizza that resemble the normal ones, grabbing one of those is an instant game over! If we jam one down its gullet, that should be able to take it down!"
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOARRRR!" Right after Five pointed that out, Chomp Kitty recovered from the Firaga attack and let out a roar of anger, making green lightning pulsating out of its body and spread to other arcade machines. The four of them watched as various creatures and enemies crawled out of the arcade screens and looked right at them.
"Alert!" BITT warned them as they started stepping back from the pixelated crowd. "Glitch has gone viral!"
"Alright gang, here's the plan," Lincoln said with a grin. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't be terrified of this sight. But for some reason, with the Glitch Tech gear on him and Five and Miko by his side, he couldn't help but be excited for the big battle ahead. "We take down these guys, then we find a way to get Chomp Kitty to hold still, and then we jam some bad pizza down his throat!"
"Is that the actual plan, or plan name?" Miko asked her boyfriend with a teasing grin, knowing how after all these years Lincoln still made his plan names way to long.
"…Shut up!" Was Lincoln's only response as Miko giggled. Five then pulled up the items menu on his gauntlet and proceeded to create a sword and blow glowing shield with a star on it. With everyone getting into a fighting stance, Lincoln grinned once more as he twirled the keyblade in his hand and raised it up. "Let's see what this thing can really do! THUNDAZA!"
Suddenly a bunch of lightning bolts came crashing down from the sky and zapped a large number of the Glitch monsters, reducing them to nothing but pixels, and then the pixels completely disappeared. "Oh yeah! Bring up the hype son!" Miko yelled as she charged forward and jumped up high as she rose her hammer up in the air. "MIKO SMASH!" Miko then brought her hammer down on one of the glitches, utterly obliterating it and creating a shockwave powerful enough to send more of the glitch monsters flying.
"I got it!" Five yelled as he ran up to the ones Miko knocked into the air and slashed at them with his sword, all of them going down in one swing. Five heard a groaning sound and quickly rose his shield in time to protect himself from a zombie Glitch monster attacking him. Five then quickly cut the zombie's head off and reduced it to pixel dust. "Haha! That's what happens when you mess with the High Five!"
"Bad catchphrase detected!" BITT informed the Hispanic boy as the robot rushed forward and managed to take a few glitches down himself with some strong punches.
"Aw come on, it wasn't that bad," Five defended his catchphrase before going back to fighting more of the video game monsters.
After a while, only a small group of monsters remained. Seeing the small group, Lincoln got an idea as he yelled out to his team. "Hey, guys! When I say go attack all of them at once!" Lincoln yelled as he rose his keyblade up into the air and shouted. "AEROZA!" A powerful green tornado was created from the tip of the keyblade that quickly sucked up the remaining Glitch monsters, leaving them trapped. "GO!"
Miko, Five, immediately responded as they jumped towards the tornado and smashed, slashed, and punched respectively. When the tornado died down, all the glitch monsters were now gone. "One to go," Everyone then turned their eyes to Chomp Kitty, the last Glitch standing. Miko and Five attempted to blast Chomp Kitty with their gauntlets while Lincoln shot out another Firaza. While they did damage the Glitch cat, it quickly regenerate before running off. "Don't let it get away!"
Eventually, Chomp Kitty crashed right into the playroom containing the ball pit. The kids laughing and swimming around in the plastic balls all laughed as they saw Chomp Kitty and didn't seem to mind as it threw them up in the air and swallowed them hole, the Glitch Cat trying to eat as many plastic balls as possible. "Uh, why is he eating the ball pit?" Five asked in confusion as Lincoln put a hand to his chin.
"Well BITT told me that Glitches are limited to the program they had in games," Lincoln told Miko and Five with BITT nodding in response. "Probably has something to do with that."
"Oooooooh, he probably thinks they're pellets!" Miko quickly came to the realization.
Just then Lincoln's gauntlet beep as Mitch popped up on it again, showing him surrounded by all the balls and kids Chomp Kitty ate. "Hurry!" He yelled as all the kids simply laughed and cheered. "I am surrounded by toddler snot!"
"Hehe, gonna remember this forever," Lincoln said before hanging up on Mitch. "Alright, here's the plan! I'll keep its feet on the ground. Miko, BITT, you two pin it, Five, ready the poison pie!"
"On it!" Five said as he started to ready his gauntlet with the anti-power-up.
"Hey! Furball!" Lincoln yelled out and got Chomp Kitty's attention as he stood up on the table and shook his butt at the Glitch. "I taste like chicken~" Chomp Kitty narrowed its eyes at Lincoln as it jumped out of the ball pit and tried lunging at Lincoln, but the white head was to quick and as he jumped out of the way. "Ha! You're too slow!" Lincoln mocked as he continued to run away from the Glitch. As Chomp Kitty made another lunge for him, Lincoln smirk as he ran headfirst towards Chomp Kitty and proceeded to slide right in between the legs of the Glitch. Lincoln aimed his keyblade at Chomp Kitty's legs and shouted. "BLIZZAZA!" Lincoln shot an intense wave of ice energy out of the key that left Chomp Kitty's legs frozen to the ground, the giant cat tried to struggle and escape but it was no use. "BITT! Miko! Now!"
"Affirmative!" BITT yelled as he jumped on top of Chomp Kitty's body and wrapped his arms and legs rightly around it.
"Here I come to save the day~!" Miko sang out as she jumped up on top of Chomp Kitty's head. Miko tried to smash its head with her hammer, but the giant cat managed to shake her off and sent her to the ground. Right as Miko tried to get up, Chomp Kitty managed to one of its feet from the ice and managed to pin Miko to the ground and growl at her. "Uh-oh…nice kitty…" Miko let out fearfully as Chomp Kitty started opening up its mouth. "Lincoln! If I die delete my browser history!"
"What? Why what's on it?!" Lincoln was briefly brought out of his fear for his girlfriend's safety by this question.
"The same stuff that's on yours!" Miko yelled back as she tried to back after from the cat's large mouth. "We're both total perverts you know this!"
"Don't worry Miko! I got you! Hey Chomp Kitty!" Five yelled as he aimed his gauntlet right at Chomp Kitty as it was opening its mouth. "Chomp on this!" Five smirked as he shot out a piece of pixelated pizza, that was slightly greenish, right inside Chomp Kitty's mouth.
Chomp Kitty's eyes widened as its body started to violently twitch before it let out a rather cute, "Meow." Before it exploded. Everything that Chomp Kitty ate was scattered around the room with balls and toddlers landing all over the place.
"Oooowww…." Mitch let out as he landed flat on his back. But right as he was about to get up…he saw Lincoln, Miko, Five, and BITT in front of him with Lincoln aiming the gauntlet right at Mitch's face with the mind wipe flash at the ready.
"Give me a reason not to," Lincoln told Mitch in a series tone.
Mitch immediately gasped at this as BITT's face started beeping red. "Caution, a Tech gauntlet is not to be used aggressively." BITT informed the three. "It is a tool to protect innocence, never to harm."
"Yeah?" Miko questioned as she gestured to Mitch, who wasn't exactly doing that not to long ago to get free food. "Well you MVP here really needs to read the dang manual."
"You need to believe me! I wasn't really gonna do it!" Mitch quickly pleaded as Lincoln leaned the gauntlet closer to Mitch's face. "I was freaked you wouldn't reset. Everybody resets!"
"You stole my win." Five stated as he walked up next to Lincoln. "Why?"
"To protect your lame gamer status?" Miko asked with the roll of her eyes. While she was no stranger to entering competitions, she would always take her losses with dignity, if someone managed to beat her then they beat her.
"I am Mitch Williams. I am thee number one gamer in this city," Mitch explained his reasons for doing what he did as Lincoln narrowed his eyes at him. "You take that away from me, you may as well take everything. Besides, that win was bugged, he wasn't even the real winner. She was."
That managed to take the three off guard as the two boys looked to Miko. "What?" Miko asked Mitch in a surprised tone, she couldn't be the winner. She didn't shoot the ball into the goal ring. "But Five made the winning shot."
"Yeah, with your ball remember?" Mitch pointed out, it didn't matter who made the winning shot. It mattered who the ball belonged to.
"Huh, so I guess you did win," Five told Miko with a small.
"Way to go Pixel Pixie." Lincoln said in a proud told as he ruffled his girlfriend's hair, earning a blush and giggle out of her.
"Well no matter who won, he still loses." Miko pointed out as Lincoln leaned the gauntlet even closer to Mitch, making him back up and cover his head.
"If we wipe your precious gaming career, you've got nothing left to protect," Lincoln said with a grin, ready to pull the trigger at any time.
"I know I went to far," Mitch admitted as he pleaded once more for them to not do this. "But do not take this from me. It's what I love. It's who…I am."
"…Me too." Miko admitted as she turned to Lincoln and Five.
"Me too," Five followed up with a smile.
Lincoln still wasn't sure, but Miko planted a soft kiss on his cheek and whispered into his ear. "Be the better person snowy," She whispered sweetly to him as Lincoln turned to her and saw Miko giving him a loving smile.
"…Yeah…me three," Lincoln smiled as he deactivated his gauntlet, allowing Mitch to breathe a sigh of relief.
Just then Lincoln's gauntlet beeped again indicating a call, answering it Lincoln saw Mitch's boss Phil appear on it. "Come in, Mitch." Phil said as he tried calling Mitch a few times only to not get a response. "After the discharge, your signal went viral what the heck happened there?"
"You wanna tell him?" Lincoln asked as he walked up to Mitch. "Or should we?"
Mitch could only sigh in response as he got ready for a long talk with his boss.
LATER THAT NIGHT
The sun had set on Royal Woods and the moon was high in the sky. Lincoln's car pulled up to Miko's house and the gamer couple exited the vehicle and quickly headed inside the Kubota house. "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" Miko cheered as she and Lincoln walked down the hall of her house. Miko had the biggest grin she's ever made before while Lincoln smiled at her in amusement. "Best. Day. Ever! First, we beat Mitch Willaims, then we find out about video game monsters! I mean I know dragons are real and all but still! Video Game monsters! We battled one, looked awesome while doing it, made a pretty cool new friend, and the three of us got the coolest jobs in the world!"
Miko's words were all completely true. After the Chomp Kitty incident, Mitch was forced to explain everything to Phil, and needless to say…Phil was not happy. He was ordered to go back to the store along with Miko, Five, and Lincoln and after a pretty lengthy discussion and Phil looking up records on the three, as well as BITT telling him about their performance today…Phil decided to make the three the newest members of the Glitch Techs.
"Heheh, yeah this was a pretty eventful Saturday." Lincoln chuckled as he had to agree with Miko on everything she said, today was pretty amazing. He didn't think video games could ever become real, yet today proved him wrong on so many levels. Now he was working with the people that helped take these video game monsters down. "Welp, we better get some rest then if we wanna be ready for our new jobs. Come on…" Just as Lincoln was about to head up to Miko's room to spend the night with her, he looked back and saw Miko giving him a playful smirk as she leaned against the door leading to the basement. "Miko?"
"Weeeeeell, we did accomplish quite a lot today," Miko stated as she opened the door to the basement and gestured to the stairs. "How about we have our own little…victory party~"
Lincoln immediately started blushing at what Miko was implying and quickly cleared his throat as Miko giggled his reaction. "Ok…as much as I would like to…maybe we should wait until tomorrow?" Lincoln suggested as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "I mean we went through a lot today so maybe we should,"
"I'm wearing the red G-String you like~" Miko told him in a seductive tone as she rubbed her butt before giving it a little pat.
"…" Lincoln was silent as his eyes slowly widened. Once again, this woman freaking wins. "Get downstairs."
"Good answer~!" Miko giggled as she quickly ran down the steps with Lincoln following close behind, needless to say, both were in for a long night.
And thus the true adventure begins!
Lincoln, Miko, and Five are officially Glitch Techs and they are only gonna get into more adventures!
Like I said, there's also gonna be some nice slice of life and original chapters so I have a lot of fun stuff plan.
But for now, we'll have to wait for the next time this is on the cycle for the story to continue. But hey, like I said before, it'll just make updates to this be all the sweet. So make sure to fav, follow, and leave a review and stay tuned for...
