"Anani! Anani can you hear me!?" Bede shook the girl who trembled violently. Her eyes were wide with shock and confusion on what was going on with the lack of her control of her body. She could feel herself starting to panic and all she could muster up were sharp cried of agonizing pain.
"Shhh, Shh, Anani!" Bede hushed her as he removed his glove to gently dab at the beads of sweat that rolled off of her skin. "Listen to me..." he said to her as he cupped her cheek in his ungloved hand and he felt a jolt.
her skin is so soft...
He thought to himself as he gently moved her face so that she could see him.
"You're stunned!" he said to her, "You stepped on a Stunfisk y'hear!?" he said.
He could only imagine the pain she was in.
"I know it must hurt..." he said to her, "You're not gonna be able to move right proper for a while...but-Oi! Anani!"
She struggled with staying focused. her eyes weighed heavily in their numbness.
"Anani! Don't you dare go to sleep!" he said to her, though in her head it sounded like the muffling of someone talking under water,"Anani...! I am NOT gonna be responsible for this! Y'hear!?" he called out to her but the weight of her eyelids was too much for to carry, and everything faded in the darkness, aside from the mumbling echoes of Bede's voice...

Help...help me please...!
Little Anani ran as fast and as far as he little feet could move her. She was bruised and dirty. her Hot pink eyes a-glow in the darkness and her lonf wine colored hair was in knots.
Someone please...help me...!
Her little voice squeaked to be heard by the nothingness that surrounded her.
"You are worthless...nothing."
A shadow of a man loomed over her no matter how far she ran.
"No matter what you do...you will always be nothing!"
She panted and pushed herself to run further. Faster.
Someone...please make this bad man go away...!
I...
She knew this man.
This man...
Is my...
Huh?
The sound of someone's crying startled her and she stopped. The looming shadow disappeared into the darkness of her mind and she rubbed at her tear stained face.
Who is that? Who is crying?
Is it me?
She peeked through her tiny dirty fingers and suddenly the scenery was changing. The darkness around was dimming in light sourced from another.
A crying boy was slouched in front of her, curled into himself.
Wait...Who... are you?
She reached for the boy in front of her and suddenly she was no longer small. And neither was he. Infact, she came into her present self, and the person she was reaching for was...
"Bede...?"

The image faded. She was able to hear once again, the sniffling of a presence that held her. Her eyes fluttered open. She was still in a great deal of pain...and she still couldn't move...but the scene soon cleared itself and she was in the waking present once again.
"Bede...?" She spoke his name weakly and it startled him.
What a strange dream...
She thought to herself.
"Anani...!" he gasped, and rubbed his eyes. They were red and swollen, "Y..You're awake." he blinked,"...How are you feeling?"
"Bede..." she blinked, "...Were you...crying?" she asked.
Or did I just dream that...?
"Wh-AS IF I WOULD!" he huffed, now red in the cheeks as well as around his eyes, "Clearly that stun has you dilerious!"
His eyes are swollen...
she blinked.
Hmph...so he WAS crying~!
She smirked and Bede twitched.
"I'm sorry I seem to have missed the joke here oh, stunned one~!" he grumped with folded arms.
"Th-That's not it..." she stuttered,' I-it...h-hurts..." she winced,"I-I'm trying to smile...to...mask the...tears of pain..."
Bede blinked and loosened his shoulders in a soft sigh.
"...Hold still." he said gently as he released Hatenna from its Poke'ball.
Anani blinked in confusion, twitching still from the stinging pain of the stun.
"Hatenna...use Heal Pulse." he demanded softly, and suddenly Anani felt a soothing warmth envelop her entire body and she was able to relax once more.
"All I can really do is null the pain..." said Bede, "I'm afraid there's nothing I can really do about the stun." he blinked, "That's just gonna have to wear off." he said as he stood and struggled to help her up, "We can't stay here." he said softly, "There might be more Stunfisk lying about...we need to keep moving...carefully." he said, "Plus...we should find your mates."
As she made it to her feet she couldn't hold her weight. While the pain was gone, the numbness of her body was still very present and all she managed to do was fall onto Bede's back as he ducked down to carry her.
"Th-Thank you..."
"Don't mention it." he said... "Just let me handle it." he sighed as he settled her into a piggy back and began moving.
They wandered the cavern slowly in careful steps with a heavy silence between them.
"Bede..." she called to him softly, now that her speech was a bit better.
"...Yes?" Bede blinked,"...What is it?"
"I'm...sorry." she said weakly.
Bede glanced back at her in his silence...he blinked a few times. Anani watched his facial expressions. His long elegant lashes barely brushed his skin, while his eyes shined, in search of the right thing to say.
He...really is pretty...
She sighed to herself. She couldn't even come close.
"Ne...Anani?"
"Mnh?"
Her voice was weak and exhausted.
"W-Wait." said Bede, "Don't fall asleep again...talk to me." he stated, "Tell me about yourself...something...anything."
He tried to keep her talking. To keep her awake. She was in shock, and talking was a good way to keep her stable while he tried to guide the stun to wear off.
"I...I don't..." she groaned.
"Anani?"
"I don't...know..."
"Don't know?" Bede blinked, "You...don't know yourself? How is that possible?"
"Because...I don't remember."
"Say what?" her words were sounding confusing and he began to worry that she may truly be dilerious.
"The only thing I really know...is that my name is Anani." she said, "I don't remember much else...except up to when I met Hop."
"Right...Hop." Bede stated, "The Champion's little brother...he's part of your lot of loser-er...I mean...friends." he blinked, "Why do you even hang around him?"
"I owe him..." she said softly.
"You owe him?" he scoffed, "What exactly could you possibly owe him?"
"My life."
"...What?"
She sighed as she tried to adjust herself, but movement was still not in her control just yet.
"I don't remember much about what happened..." she stated, "Aside from my name...I can only remember up to the point when...Hop...found me..."
Hop...found her?
He blinked curiously.
"He found me when I was lost..." Said Anani,"...And all...alone..."
"...I see." Bede said softly.
Alone, huh?
He thought to himself.
So she too...
"I've nothing...nothing and no one..."
That explains a lot then...
"Hop found me when I was alone..." she explained, "And gave me a place to call home...he took me in."
"...How long have you known him?" asked Bede, "Hop, I mean..."
"Not too long...really..." she mumbled, "Maybe...about a month..."
He gasped softly.
That recent?
He blinked.
"What happened to you earlier?" he asked, "It was like you weren't...fully there."
"...The darkness..." she said softly behind closed eyes, gaining his curious attention, "The Darkness...is such a cold...and empty place." she stated, "I...was lost in it...for such a long time." she said," It's full of dark and negative emotions...and...hides...terrifying things inside of it." she sighed.
"...And so..." he said softly, "You're afraid of it?" he blinked, "Not of the darkness itself...but rather what hides within it."
"...Yeah." she nodded and her thin trembling arms moved slightly, enough for her hands to grip at his coat.
"I know...it sounds dumb." she said softly, "I wouldn't expect you to understand..."
"...I understand." said Bede.
"What?" Anani blinked.
"I was once lost too..." he said softly, Until someone also found me..."
"...The Chairman?" she asked.
"...Yeah." he blinked, "So I understand what it feels like...to feel alone...until someone sees you."
I see...
Anani thought to herself.
Now I understand that dream...
she blinked.
I had that dream because...Bede too...has known loneliness...just like me...
"Anani...?"
She was silent. Her breathing slow.
This isn't good...
Bede thought to himself.
I've got to get her to her friends as soon as possible...
