The Trial of Two Fists

A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It based on the GAMES and NOT the anime version.

"Check it out! That's the Aisle of Armor, down there." said Hop pointing out as they made their descent.

"It's massive!" said Marnie.

"It's not that impressive..." said Bede.

"Over there!" said Anani, "The Master Dojo...there's Master Mustard!"

"Oh yeah, I called him. "said Hop, "Let him know we were coming."

"Thanks, Hop..." she smiled as they slowly went into land at the designated landing area for Taxis at the station.

"Anani!" Master Mustard smiled with open arms, "A pleasure to see you again my dear." he chuckled, "And of course Hop, too."

"It's been too long, Master." said Hop. He wore a strained smile, "I hope you don't mind, we brought a couple of friends with us."

"Not to worry, dear!" said , "We have plenty of room in our humble little Dojo, don't you know!"

"ANANIIIII~!" two familiar voices echoed and the girl soon found herself sandwiched between none other than good old Klara and Avery.

"We missed youuuuuu~!" Klara squealed.

"You really ought to visit home more often, sister!" said Avery.

"And Hop's here too-yaay." said Hop waving but they only barely noticed.

"Oh yes, of course!" said Klara.

"Hello again, Hop." said Avery.

Ms. Honey chuckled as the two continued squeezing the life out of Anani who desprately tapped out for air.

"It would seem our very own dear Klara and Avery have decided to adopt Anani as their child." Honey chuckled teasingly. Avery, however, seemed a bit thrown off by the extra guests. More so by Bede.

"Say...Anani." Avery stated, "I thought you only had the one guy friend?"

"Hm?" Anani blinked, "You mean Hop?"

"Hmm...yes." said the blonde male as he adjusted his frames and had a closer look at Bede before pointing at him, "...So who is this, then?" he asked.

"Oh that's, Uh..." Anani blinked, "...Bede?"

"mm. I see." said Avery, "And who is he?"

"He's...uh...my uhm..." Anani blinked as she scratched her cheek awkwardly. She wasn't sure how exactly to explain Bede or his presence.

"He's...my...friend?" she managed, but she wasn't sure how Bede felt about this claim. Whatever the case he didn't seem amused by the thought, because his eyes narrowed instantly at her response.

"...Careful, my dear..." he said with a narrowed gaze, "Wouldn't want you to strain yourself, mind you." he huffed and stubbornly turned away in an arms crossed pout which even left Anani off a bit confused.

"Hold on..." Marnie blinked, "...Is he...mad or...?"

"Don't look at me." said Hop as he shrugged.

Wait...

Anani blinked as she watched Bede pout stubbornly.

Does he actually... WANT me to call him my friend?

"Mmm...NOPE. That can't be right." said Avery.

"And why not!?" Bede huffed.

"Because Hop is your friend, is not?" said Avery, not paying any mind to Bede who seemed to go red cheeked in frustration.

"Well yeah, Hop is." said Anani, "...My best friend, actually..."

"Say what now?" Marnie gasped dramatically," I am offended~!"

"HaHa, sorry Marnie~" Hop teased," Better get in line~!"

"Exactly." said Avery, "So he can't be your friend too."

"And why not?" said Anani with a raised brow.

"Well, because Hop is your friend. Clearly." said Avery.

"A lady can have multiple friends you know." said Klara as she rolled her eyes.

"Well yes..." said Avery, "But not multiple male friends!" he stated.

"Why not!?" said Klara, "What's wrong with that?"

"Because if a lady were to have multiple friends of the opposite sex, her chances of falling in love her one-hundred percent!" said Avery, "By having two accompany our Anani in her travels-her chances of falling for one or the other is fifty percent a piece!"

"Oh please...as if I'd ever." Bede scoffed as Hop chuckled sheepishly and awkwardly while blushing.

"Now now..." Mustard chuckled, "Surely our friends have come to visit for a more pressing matter than romantic advice.

"Actually-yes." said Anani.

"I figured..." Mustard chuckled, "So... come. Brief me on the situation." he said as he lead the small group away into a separate room to speak leaving Klara and Avery to pout.

"Well actually Master..." Hop began, "It's Fuukuu." he explained.

"Fuukuu?" Mustard blinked, "Ahh...you must mean Kubfu." he chuckled, "An endearing name...what's going on with good old Kubfu?" he asked, "Is everything all right?"

"Actually...we're not entirely sure." said Hop, "That's why we brought him here...in hopes that maybe you might be able to understand it better?"

"Oh?" Mustard blinked curiously.

"You see...Fuukuu has been acting strangely, as of late." said Anani.

"That so?" Mustard blinked, "Care to explain."

"Uhm...well..." Hop and Anani gave a look to each other. Hop sighed and nodded while Anani, understanding the gesture, decided to release her Poke'mon from its Poke'ball.

"You see, Lately Fuukuu has been-"

"AUGH!" Bede's cry echoed in the Dojo hall, followed by the thud of his body dropping onto the mat after a hard headbutt from the small bear Poke'mon.

"...Aggressive...lately." Anani sighed.

"Oh my..."Mustard blinked while Hop snickered.

"Now personally I find it kind of funny-but...Anani is right to be concerned." said Hop, "After all...it's not in his usual nature." Hop snickered as Bede groaned and leered at Kubfu, who, this time, glared back and growled.

"...What? What is then?" Bede huffed, "Does it bother you that I hang around your trainer, hm? Is that it?" he smirked.

Kubfu only growled and snorted stubbornly.

"Likewise." Bede muttered.

"Indeed...Kubfu has grown quite capable in itself and its confidence hasn't it?" Mustard chuckled,"I think it might be about that time..."

"Uhm?" Anani blinked, "About that time...for what?"

"The Trial of Two Fists." Mustard grinned.

"Woah..." Hop blinked.

"Sounds Wicked..." said Marnie.

"The Trial of Two Fists?" Anani blinked, "What's that."

Master Mustard smiled as he began to explain.

"Here on the Aisle of Armor, stands two towers that only Kubfu may use." he stated, "The Tower of Water...and the Tower of Darkness." he said as he stood and pointed her to a couple of hanging tapestries. "You must choose one." he said softly, "And you must take Kubfu...and travel to the top."

"Why?" Bede asked as he dusted himself off.

"Yeah...what's waiting at the top?" asked Hop.

Master Muster smirked and stood taller, slowly turning toward them.

"That, I'm afraid...is something you must discover once you get there." he stated, "But I can promise you one thing..." he leaned in close and whispered, "It's something amazing~" he said with a cheeky grin as he winked.
