Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Wolf and Reaper. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

(Mistral.)

Azul opened his mouth to wash his teeth. His fangs poked out in front of his regular teeth.

"Azul?" Ruby asked as the pajama-clad reaper stood in the doorway. Her pale, bare arms were folded with a frown. "We need to talk," Ruby added while Azul spits out toothpaste.

Azul blinked and wiped his mouth. He walked towards the door. Ruby moved only a step to block him. Azul hummed and blinked. He wanted to go sit on his bed before talking. That was why he had gotten dressed in his pajamas after all.

"What about?" Azul asked, leaning on the door. It creaked slightly as the Faunus raised an eyebrow. "I kinda wanted to go sit down before we talk, Rubes," Azul stated with a slight hum.

"About how your acting," Ruby added, not budging an inch. She guessed that Azul would leave the room if she let him. "It's like you constantly want to fight Cinder," Ruby stated which made Azul hum and shrug.

"Kinda why I left Beacon with you, Rubes," Azul responded and cracked his sore fingers. "So, people didn't suffer from Cinder. The longer we stay here? The more time Cinder has time to plan to attack here." Azul stated while Ruby sighed and rub at her temples.

Ruby knew for a fact that Cinder had to be stopped. From what Ruby saw? Cinder had already started a warpath across the Kingdom.

But she didn't want Azul to get killed. He had already gotten hurt fighting Tyrian. Now he instantly wanted to go back to fighting Cinder.

"Azul, you're still recovering," Ruby stated and backed up slightly. Azul walked past her. "You shouldn't be going back to fight so early," Ruby said as Azul sat down on his bed.

Azul cracked his neck in a way that made Ruby cringe. The Faunus blinked and turned to look at Ruby again.

"Why?" Azul asked his girlfriend simply. "We're hunters. Bad guys hurt us, we pop back up and fight… The cycle continues, Rubes. That's life. We can't exactly change that." Azul said while Ruby sighed and then slowly started to walk out of the room.

Azul tilted his head to the side. Part of him wanted to go and talk to Ruby. But another part of him didn't know what to say with Ruby.

"Ugh, I feel like I should talk to someone. "Azul said and scratched at his chin. "But who? Hmm… I guess I'll talk to Jaune, maybe he'll have some advice." Azul said before turning to look at his scroll.

It made him sigh. He was reminded of team AMET and their sacrifice back in Vale.

"I'll make sure you guys didn't die in vain," Azul stated before standing up. Azul sighed and rolled off his bed.

Azul walked out of the room. He paused to look around the grand hall. Azul had just now noticed how grand Haven was. It contrasted with the very plain style of Vale and Beacon.

"I wonder how the hell they got enough money for this," Azul muttered to himself before rushing to the stairs on a flash of blue energy. "Did Ozpin hold a fundraiser or something to build the school?" Azul stated before he sprinted down the stairs.

Azul hummed and cracked his fingers. He looked around and sniffed the air. Azul could smell rose petals in the air.

"Rubes," Azul whispered to himself and sighed. "I hate this. Rubes probably thinks I'm a giant idiot. I almost wish that love was like those books Ruby used to read around me as kids." Azul added and shook his head.

He sniffed the air once more and could smell the scent of grenades. Azul knew that Ren and Nora shared a room. Jaune had gotten a room next to them as the team leader.

Azul raced up the stairs and then around the corner. Azul took another sniff and smelt the grenades. Azul knocked on the door next to it with a hum.

"Jaune?" Azul asked as he knocked on the door. He frowned looked down the stairs. Azul was going to have to talk to her sooner or later. "Jaune, you up? I need to talk with you right now." Azul stated while looking to the side.

"Ugh, coming!" Jaune yelled before Azul's ears twitched. He could hear Jaune walk up to the door. Azul waited as Jaune pulled the lock open.

Azul looked at his former classmate while humming and frowning. Jaune picked up on this and raised an eyebrow.

"Is something wrong?" Jaune asked as Azul sighed.

"I need to talk with you about something," Azul said and let out a long breath. "Something really important," Azul said while leaning on the railing.

Azul watched Jaune blink, surprised that Azul had gone to him for advice.

"Can I ask what it is?" Jaune questioned Azul who nodded.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to apologize for these chapters taking a while. I'm starting to lose my urge to write for RWBY. The next chapter will be in 2-9 weeks like this one and will show Jaune talking with Azul and Ruby talking to Qrow about Azul. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Ruby is 900 words Monday. Yang 900-1200 Monday. Cinder 900 Sunday. Weiss, Tock, Winter, Willow, and such are unknown. Penny and Neo will be 900 words soon.
