A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It based on the GAMES and NOT the anime version.

"Daddy?" Marnie blinked, "Wonder what kind of wild dreams she's been havin'."

"Maybe...she remembered something..." said Hop.

"Perhaps..." said Bede.

Anani now lay resting in a spare bed at the Poke'mon center. She had been out heavily for a few hours and still showed no sign of waking too soon.

"Remembered somethin'?" Marnie blinked.

"Oh...I was certain I told you about it..." said Hop.

"You mentioned somethin'." said Marnie, "But didn't provide a whole lot of detail..."

"So basically...Anani has a sort of...Amnesia?" Hop blinked.

"...It's more like a mental block." said Bede and Hop shot daggers at him.

"Yeah? And what all do you really know about it anyway!?" he huffed.

"She...told me some things." he stated, "But the thing is...the things she told me she doesn't remember saying so..." he shrugged, "That shows that her memories are there, therefore, NOT Amnesia." he stated, " But they are blocked out when she tries to remember..." he blinked, "That says that it's obviously a mental block!" he sighed.

"But..." Marnie blinked, "What can even cause a mental block?"

"Lot's of things." said Bede, "But in this case..." he sighed and looked over at the sleeping Anani, hooked up to an I.V for hydration while she rested and he blinked, "I'd say that whatever happened to Anani...before Hop rescued her...must have been incredibly traumatizing..." he stated, "And I get the feeling that Daddy had a major role to play in that."

"I see..." said Marnie.

"So maybe the Chairman reminded her of her dad...or something?"

"Doubtful!" Bede spoke defensively, "Mr. Chairman is not a cruel man! There's no way he could have possibly triggered such a negative reaction!"

"Weather he's cruel or not may not be the issue here." said Marnie, "I can't say much about the Chairman, as I don't know him personally..." she stated, "But the fact remains that she did collapse in the Chairman's presence." she said.

"That's true..." Hop sighed, "We can't rule that out..."

"So, maybe it was something he said, or something he did, but whatever the case...weather it was purposeful or not..." she sighed, "My guess is the Chairman must have triggered something..."

"Well whatever the situation may be there..." Hop sighed, "I think we should keep Anani away from the Chairman...and...away from you."

"From ME!?" Bede huffed, "Why keep her away from ME!?"

"Because none of this nonsense with Anani started happening until YOU showed up!" Hop huffed back.

"No, you're just blind!" stated Bede, "Anani has always had these problems Hop! you just never noticed them up until now!"

"What do you know about it anyway!?" Hop blushed in anger.

"Clearly a lot more than you!" said Bede.

"Oh? And Why is that!?"

"Because I pay attention!" Bede stated, "Do you!?"

"You already stated that you weren't her friend anyway, right!?" said Hop, "So then why are you still here!?" he asked, "You don't even like her so why are you sticking around!?"

"Will you two CRAM IT!?" Marnie huffed with a heavy sigh, "First off, Hop, again, weather they are friends or what not is between those two." she stated, "Whatever their situation is-leave it for the two of them to figure out their relationship, whatever it may be. It doesn't concern us."

"Hmph..." Hop grumped.

"Sheesh..." Marnie sighed, "It's like watching a couple of children fight over their favorite toy..." she blinked, "If Anani were awake I bet she'd tell you two to cram it too."

"Why don't you all cram it..." a grumpy voice growled from Anani's bed, startling the group as the girl tried to sit up from a disturbed sleep and yank the I.V out, "You're so loud..."

"Anani!" Hop and Bede both gasped her name, but the Pink wearing gent was the first to run at her side, shoving passed Hop, "What are you doing!?" he asked as he placed his hands on her small shoulders.

"I need to go to the Vault..." she mumbled.

"What!?" Bede gasped, "No what you need to do is rest-"

"I need to go to the Vault!" Anani shot a hot magenta gaze at the boy, freezing him in place. The sudden sharpness in her tone was startling.

"Why?" he asked.

"Why, what!?" said Anani.

"You know what!" said Bede, "Why is going to the Vault so bloody important to you right now!?"

"None of your business..." she grumbled.

"What did you say!?" Bede hissed back.

"Bede! Just let her go!" said Hop walking up beside her, "Clearly she's fine-"

"You too!"

"What!?" Hop gasped, "Why me too!?"

Anani snipped, "Just...all of you leave me alone for a bit will ya!?" she huffed, shoving her way through the group and rushing out the door leaving behind three dumbfound faces.

"Woof..." said Marnie, "And Here I thought I could wake up in a bad mood..."

"Yeah, no..." said Hop, "Anani gives bad mood a whole new meaning when she's woken up abruptly like that..." he sighed,"...I guess that's on us...just leave her alone for a bit...she'll calm down..." he stated.

"Right..." said Marnie, "Well I hardly blame her!" she went on, "I'd be in a bad mood too! Tryin' to sleep and yet I'm forced to listen to children argue!"

"Oh, come off it, will ya!?" said Hop.

Bede, however, was stunned into silence. Something about this...bothered him deeply.

Anani's head was splittin in throbbing pain. She had no idea what was so important about this vault that she needed to see it so bad...

She just knew that she needed to.

I suppose I will discover as to why that is...when I get there.

She thought to herself.

As she approached the place of destination, she noticed a tall man stood before the door way. he seemed to be fiddling with Social media on his Rotom Phone when he raised his eyes to see her.

"I'll gladly sign my trainer card for you." he said to her, "But anyone wanting to challenge the Mighty Raihan has to prove they're up to it by earning seven Gym Badges first." he stated, no doubt clarifying to Anani that this was indeed Raihan.

"O-Oh...that's not why I'm here!" she stated.

"Huh?" he blinked as he took in a closer look, "Oh hey if it isn't one of the trainers endorsed by Champion Leon!" he said to her, "Let's see...your name was..." he scrolled through his phone before hitting a Eureka moment, "Ah! Anani!" he stated, "Well Anani it seems you and Hop are making pretty quick progress." he said, "And if Leon himself recognized your potential then their can't be any doubt that you will indeed grow into fine Trainers." he blinked, "So then tell me." he said, "If you're not here to battle the Mighty Raihan, then what is it that I can help you with, little lady?" he asked.

"I-Uhm." she gulped, "I was oping...to see the Vault..." she said.

"Oh I see." he blinked, "So you're here to see our treasures are you?" he chuckled, "Gaining a better understanding of Poke'mon by studying history certainly isn't a bad idea!" he said to her, "Good on you, kid! I like your spirit!" he grinned, "Follow me, will you?"

As he opened the doors to let her in he lead her to a narrow stair way and stopped.

"If it's the Vault you want, it's right up those stairs." he said to her.

"Understood." Anani nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Raihan."

"Now no need for all that..." he chuckled awkwardly.

As she turned toward the stairs an odd foreboding came over her and her head suddenly felt heavy.

"Weren't you here to see the vault?" Raihan blinked after she had been standing there for a good couple minutes.

"O-Oh uh-" she gulped, "Y-yes that's right...sorry!" she squeaked and hurried up the way leaving him with a confused and rather baffled expression. It was pretty straight forward. The stair way seemed to bring her to a part of the roof, which lead to another set of stairs where a heavy feeling rested in her chest.

So the Vault must be there then...

She thought to herself. Closing her eyes, she took in a deep breath before finally pushing open the doors. But it seemed someone else had already beaten her here...

"Sonia...?" Anani blinked.

The Ginger hair girl twitched in response and turned behind her. it seemed Anani's sudden call of her name had startled her. She must have been really focused.

"Oh, so you're here too, Anani." she said to her, motioning to come stand with her, "Brilliant aren't they?" she asked as she directed Anani's attention to some well maintained Art in the walls that seemed to tell a story.

"It's great that there are still treasured tapestries that can tell us of Galar's history." she stated and began pointing them out, depicted the story they seemed to tell, "Here, we have two youths watching a Wishing Star..." she stated. Suddenly a flash back came of the Day Anani and Hop got approved for an Endorsement. They had battled that day, and it had moved Leon so much that he finally agreed. The two of them were happy in there celebration. She remembered that the two of them stood together...and a Wishing Star had fallen that day too...

Hop...

She thought to herself and narrowed her eyes in sadness.

"Then a disaster occurs." said Sonia, "It left the youths bewildered..." she blinked, "And so they turn to look on the Sword and Shield, that stop this disaster." she blinked, "And here, we have the youths being crowned."

Anani blinked. She felt a familiarity to this story...

"These tapestries tell the story of the creation of a Kingdom in Galar." said Sonia, "Say...Anani?" she blinked.

"Uh-Yes?" Admittedly the sudden call startled her, as she was lost in her own thoughts of her and Hop, "What sticks out to you the most about these Tapestries?" she asked.

"Honestly..." Anani blinked as she slowly turned back o the hanging Art works, "...These Tapestries get me wondering..." she said softly, "Were there actually...two heroes?"

"Bang on!" said Sonia, "But the statue back at Motostoke only clearly displayed one...no matter how you slice it." she stated, "But here...there are clearly two youths." she blinked, "So was there really only one hero?" she asked, "Or were there two?" she blinked, "And another thing...what even caused the Darkest Day?" there was a silence between the two. For whatever reason, Anani now felt a calm.

I still don't understand why it was so important that I come here today...

She thought to herself.

But I guess for whatever reason...I needed to...and now I have...so...

She sighed.

...What next?

"Say-" Sonia's sudden voice startled Anani out of her thoughts once again and she turned to the woman who looked upon her with a warm smile, "Thanks for letting me bounce some ideas off of you." she stated, "I think I've got some theories now." she smiled, "I am going to research these Tapestries a Tad more." she stated, "Good luck on your Gym Challenge, all right?" she smiled, "To you AND Hop." he grinned.

Anani stared back into the woman's eyes before melting into a warm smile and nodding.

"Yeah." she said softly.

Whatever I needed from here might clear up for me later...

She thought to herself.

For now...I should go find Hop...

She smiled.

I owe him an apology...

As Anani made her way outside, she sighed, struggling with what sort of words she could say to Hop when she met up with him again. But her curiosity had been tied off as a familiar person awaited for her, just at the gates of Route 6.

"Hop!?" Anani called, shaken by his sudden appearance. His hazel eyes glanced up and he gave her a forced smile.

"Hey, Anani..." he called to her softly,"...Can we talk for bit?"
